2641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Luna 2.0 keeps falling on: June 16, 2022, 10:48:26 PM

Can you see Luna 2.0, the price was above $19 when the coin was forked from Lunc, it decreased to around $3.4 when bitcoin was below $30000, bitcoin increased to around $32400 and Luna increased to $12. Bitcoin at $31000 now but Luna at $3.9. if bitcoin decreased to like $27000, this will significantly affect Luna price. This coin is not worth holding during this time until if bear market has ended. If you buy this coin, know that you are gambling.

Lol why in the world would anyone want to touch this coin is beyond me.  It's like people enjoy burning theor money.  Why wouldn't you just put your money into bitcoin than throwing it at this hot garbage and crossing your fingers it works out.  Is greed that big??
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 16, 2022, 10:46:36 PM
Anyway, back to the topic, the Warriors should do everything to claim the championship title in Game 6 later. It will be sure as a tough job because the Celtics are also not moving an inch back to have the Warriors their way, so ofcourse they will also do everything and utilize what they're known for to have a Game 7.

I'm hoping for another way around. I want the series to extend to Game 7.

Good to see the Finals will end in the final series for much better entertainment for us viewers. Golden State Warriors might finish the series tonight but the Boston Celtics obviously don't want to end their chances for the champion too. Bookies heavily favored the Boston Celtics tonight to win the game.

Not a basis that they will win tonight but it means bookies see something for the Celtics why they shouldn't be considered as an underdog tonight.

Bostin Celtics will win in Game 6 but the Golden State Warriors will end it on Game 7. Smiley

Me too.  Ultimately as a knick fan nothing worse I can see than Boston winning the chip again, but I want to see a game 7.  Everything on the floor, 1 game to decide all.  4 quarters of greatness.  Cmon celts make it happen!

So far, we have a new commish, i'd say agreement on the platform and scoring type, and at least one new member, welcome @Hhampuz. But what i'd really like to keep from last year is how the draft order is determined. By default, Yahoo chooses draft order at random one hour before the draft, which is OK, but it's way more fun if we do it with BTC blocks, the hash lottery: [1] [2]. Thought it was pretty cool to get our draft spots picked like that, it adds to the league's appeal imo.

All those in favor of the hash lottery, say aye!  Grin

I'm down for a good ol blockchain raffle to manually pick spots I think there is no other way we should do it honestly.  And if we are picking I'm in for ppr.  For what it's worth I've been in leagues where autodraft people never really won.  A big portion of every winner is:

Hitting a long shot in the later rounds
Roster staying healthy
And hitting the waiver wire hitting on some pick ups.

Either way can't wait for the new season.

Welcome @Puz!!
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: June 16, 2022, 10:41:48 PM
Are there any updates about this fight? Hopefully, they can announce it before the end of June.

Terence Crawford gives Errol Spence Jr fight update

Terence Crawford himself gives an update recently that they are still trying to make the fight possible.

And I quote from the article:

"What makes things difficult is the 34-year-old Crawford only has one belt to Spence’s three, and he’s not a huge pay-per-view attraction or ticket seller like him. Although Crawford is ranked ahead of Spence in Ring Magazine’s pound-for-pound list at #3 to his #4, there’s not enough of a cushion to help in the negotiations."

It's clear that the main subject here is maybe the split. Spence may be demanding a much higher split above 60-40 because of his pay-per-view revenue and multi-title in possession. That seems reasonable to be demanded by Spence. If everything failed, Crawford may consider moving up weight instead and forget fighting Spence until the latter calls for him.

So what is happening in this fight? I thought this is already settled and there's already a date of the said fight. Well, 60/40 should be a good split, Spence Jr. has more belts and he deserve a higher cut of the revenue, I hope Crawford will understand that because if he wins this fight, he will be the undisputed champion.

Crawford should take the smaller financial take on this fight?  Man I hope this fight goes off now.  A pissed off disrespected Crawford will whoop Spence's ass.  Crawford been disrespected his whole career, and all he does is completely wreck everyone in the ring.  This should go off at 50/50 with the winner getting the belts.  I see no other way this will go off.
2645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 16, 2022, 06:00:45 PM
Think I'm gonna lay off this game.  Celts -4 is a tough line.  I might lay in on the under.  This game might end up being slow and methodical something like a 101-97 type of game.  Might lay off completely and just sit back and enjoy the game.  Will see.
2646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can crypto go lower than 95% on: June 14, 2022, 05:12:40 AM
Most the favourite projects I have in mind to buy have already lose 80% to 90% of their value, if you are in my shoe would you start buying? I did try to buy piece by piece like 20$ to 30$ range but I still don't know if I am doing the right thing... I have these projects in mind

1. Theta
2. Sad to
3. Lukso
4. Mina Protocol
5. Layer zero
6. 0x
7. Woo Network

But looking for good entry per dollar

No hard no.  Don't catch falling knives.  You want to buy when everything levels off for months, not now when things are dropping like crazy.  This might only he the start.  I feel like this bear will be even worse than years past.
2647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How bad can it get? on: June 14, 2022, 05:11:08 AM
Down the road into a bear market what can a new miner except from a 500MH mining farm? How incredibly bad can this get? 5$? 8$? Asking those who are here before in 2018 so I can know what's awaiting me.

Pretty much hurt, that's what's coming.  I mean profitability is going to just plummet, the choice is to sell or hold on for the next run because you won't be able to run your hardware at any kind of profit in a bear.  But when things turn everyone flocks back to hardware.  Happened in every run.  This should he no different.  But be forewarned you will be tested during this bear for sure.  Good luck
2648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT's are a bigger scam than LUNA/UST on: June 14, 2022, 05:08:50 AM
The actual content of the NFT, such as a piece of art, is rarely stored on the blockchain. The reason why the content (such as a JPG, MP3, or Gif) of the smart contract associated with the actual NFT is stored on the web and not the blockchain is because of the size and cost. So you don't really own a piece of art. You own a piece of metadata describing some art that is stored on a centralized server. Those servers will, inevitably, eventually go down, be hacked or bought out so the owners of an NFT will, in the long run, own nothing but some metadata pointing to a defunct site.

Of course.  Do you think all of these great projects are about art or anything useful?  No.  It's merely to get the creators more bitcoin or eth, and then from there everyone buying is looking for someone more stupid to buy them from them.  It's a pyramid about to come crashing down.
2649  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Loading a DIY Collectible on: June 14, 2022, 05:06:06 AM
Basically use the same method as you would your own cold storage paper wallet, air gapped computer as folks previous have said and an offline printer.  But what's your end game, cold storage, testing for a project, gifting, ?  Not that the method will change drastically but one thing to consider is full privacy keys vs compact keys.  How will you protect it, sticker?  Etc.  Without knowing your end game its tough to say how you should deal with it.
2650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 14, 2022, 05:00:18 AM
Free throws may have been the reason the Celtics lost this game but a part of that is because the Warriors played great defense.
They didn't let them find their rhythm and so the free throws are mostly a miss. Even Tatum missed a lot of crucial shots that could have been a chance to make the game a close fight.
But all praises to Andrew Wiggins. He keeps on stepping up his game from 16 rebounds at Game 4 and now changing to being an offensive guy earning 26 points to help Steph Curry while he is off night and defended well.
Klay Thompson doing a lot of damage too.

Free throws didn't do this team in.  What did them in was the experience of a well rounded golden state team.  The only thing I dread is having to listen to Steven a Smith flip on how he sees the Warriors now.  As a fellow knicks fan I can not stand his takes on tes other than the Knicks.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 14, 2022, 04:57:56 AM
You don't have to like it because the Warriors will not lose game 5, mark my words, I will bet my life savings for the Warriors in game 5 (KIDDING!). But seriously, this is the best spot to back the Warriors as they are back home and their chance to win at home is bigger than in the road.

Just remember that tonight's game is a must-win for the Golden State Warriors.

You can consider risking some decent bet for them or go into the handicap in favor of them. The Boston Celtics will surely be aggressive to take the win here because as I also mentioned on another thread, they want to celebrate the championship with their home crowd and that's a wonderful experience.

Warriors know the importance of Game 5 and they will surely do everything to take the win tonight.

Yes, so they are now ahead 3-2, but they will have to travel to Boston Garden, so another must win again for them to not give the Celtics a chance to tie the series. Even if it is a win in a road in a championship, they have to do it. And this game shows how deadly the Warriors is, Curry is not having a good game, but Wiggins and Klay, Poole and Gary Payton cover enough to give them a good back to back. If not for the 1st game lost, this could have been a Warriors championship again, but they have to wait.

The world needs Celtics to win game 6 so we can have a do or die game 7 in Oakland.  I have to admit I was bearish on the Warriors all season and have to give steph some credit, they literally came out of no where to stay in the top of the western conference and clean up through the playoffs.  If they can win 1 of the next 2 games steph will have cemented his legacy in stone.
2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 13, 2022, 11:32:54 PM
There is a little time left for the Game 5 to begin. The winner will have a big advantage for the championship obviously, yeah. It is really difficult to predict the winner of this game now. Warriors seemed better in the previous game but we will see if they will succeed in being consistent. Celtics will have to defend tighter to cause them to make mistakes otherwise it seems too difficult for them to stop especially Curry. If they even don't manage to stop him they should at least improve their successful shot percentage.
Niether box-one or tight man-to-man def for Curry as long he wont really be making out some good position on shooting 3's then they might have the chance.
When Curry starts to heat up then its really hard for him to be stopped. 2 point made will easily be just be patched or catched up if 3 would be successive
so there's no point on weakening their defense.

Warriors wont be dumb on not to counter possible isolation for Curry and to mind off that there's still Thompson and Poole which could also
shoot 3's on any angles.

Box and one for Curry will never work they will shred that with other outside shooters, and if they play 2 high on him they will eat up the Celtics with cutting through the paint.  I'd just let Curry get his and try to lock down Poole and klay to be honest.  Curry will get his so I wouldn't waste effort allowing the whole team to join in.  Male theor 4th and 5th options have to have a big game.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your NBA Champion this season? on: June 13, 2022, 07:48:33 PM
I don't like it because it means Warriors are losing game 5 and they will lose in the last game, it's not fun to watch.

You don't have to like it because the Warriors will not lose game 5, mark my words, I will bet my life savings for the Warriors in game 5 (KIDDING!). But seriously, this is the best spot to back the Warriors as they are back home and their chance to win at home is bigger than in the road.
I'm starting to see a lot of analysis on game 5 that it's going to be the game for the Warriors. Well, it makes sense, look at the two wins of the Warriors. They're able to win flawlessly unlike with the Celtics, they're always near with the Warriors.
If Curry and Thompson are on fire, for sure that this will lead them to win and it's always these two superstars are always on the reel and highlight for wins that they get.

Listen I'm in on the Warriors tonight too but that doesn't mean anything.  Bookies win most of the time for a reason, peoe are generally wrong because they bet with their heart.  I'm going purely on home game and experience.  But Celtics are young and hungry maybe they shock here.  Either way enjoy the ge should be epic!
2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin dump have any impact on gamblers ? on: June 13, 2022, 07:46:39 PM
Gamblers around the world use crypto and bitcoin to play the bets. Do they really care if the bitcoin prices dump hard? I know traders are directly impacted by this dump, and investors are also in panic but what about gamblers. Their motive is to play gamble and they may not be a concerned if the price of bitcoin is declining sharply?

The only impact is that if you are trying to bet a particular amount of fiat value (or win a certain amount pegged to fiat) then yeah it will effect ypu because your static amount of bitcoin you can bet gets reduced down as the price drops and you have to bet more to retain the same level of fiat valued bets.  And while it's dropping people care less about losing.  When it's pumping and you lose its twice as bad so you might be more reluctant to bet.
2655  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Pawn Stars on: June 13, 2022, 06:16:34 PM
being in a country where they broadcast the very early seasons of pawn stars only now (fun fact: on a sports channel  Grin), it's interesting to see how rick&co and their shop have changed in the last years  Cheesy

just curious:
- how many shots did it take to record these 3mins?
- was the script dictated or was it a "free speech"?
- does Rick really know the stuff by heart or was it like "tomorrow we record an episode with a cas-coin, so inform yourself in advance"?
- what was your calculation to come up with your asking price? (besides error coin)

So the filming took like 45 minutes. Had to answer the same questions like 5 different times, same with the intro and outro. Also they made me come up with a joke for the end hence the "Bit too much coin" haha

The conversation was pretty free, although they cut out pretty much everything I said which is kinda lame.

Re Rick, they have a research team that deep dives each item so pretty sure he just reads the notes before the show then references stuff during the conversation. He mentioned the "call a spade a spade" and some other historical stuff so it was pretty well researched, wish they included the narrative about it being easier to explain Bitcoin with a physical coin rather than going the security route but oh well. He didn't really have any context on the difference in sale prices for these coins depending on rarity and grade, wish they had called in an expert! haha That being said he is pretty familiar with crypto as a whole, fairly certain he's been keeping up with things independently of the show.

Asking price for me was based on ~10x face value. Hard to really come up with a price. Not that many of the series 2 silver halves (45) and not that many yellow slabbed. Don't even want to talk about how much BTC I paid for it back in ~2015 so wasn't motivated to sell anywhere near spot.

Pretty neat.  But be honest did you want to punch Rick right in the face when he offered you crypto and silver face value lol.  Did you talk with Rick about it off camera.  I know these are all scripted but generally wondering if he had any idea about these to begin with.  Probably not, physical crypto is still niche and in its infancy.  Either way a good watch always good to see physicals getting their due time in the spotlight!

Nah, kinda expected a low ball offer, I mean it's a pawn shop. Didn't expect him to give zero premium for rarity though! We didn't talk at all off camera. Been watching the show for quite some time so was a cool experience, and always good to get a spotlight on these amazing coins regardless of the offer  Grin

Yeah without a proper no coiner market for these yet I'd expect the same.  These need to find their way to proper auction houses and then they will get their proper showing.  Especially with Cas coins getting peeled all the time rarity will become a real thing.  Just imagine if we run up to 100k how many Cas will be sacrificed.  One day they will get their due...one day.  Thanks for sharing

Nothing in this market is going to 50x anytime soon lol.  More than likely anything that launches now will just get dumped into oblivion.  Now isn't the time to gamble on these complete crap tokens.  Stick to bitcoin and watch all the domino's fall.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 13, 2022, 03:14:57 PM
If Klay and Green can bounce back and have a better game then the Celtics are in trouble. Steph is after that MVP trophy… Wiggins was able to make a huge impact in the game without shooting well either. Once a couple of these guys start shouting above 50% in a game, the Celtics will be in trouble. I haven’t seen Tatum carry the Celtics yet like I thought he would. Watching the games it feels like Jaylen Brown is their star.

I don't know but Draymond is the guy from the Warriors who seems lost. That's actually the biggest what if for the Warriors in this Finals. If Draymond played like he used to back when they battled against LeBron, I'm thinking the series could be 3-1 in their favour.
He's like distracted by his podcasts lol.

The game 5 might decide who's going to win the Finals this year.

I think Draymond will play better at home, and we will see his improvement in game 5 because he is a clutch player, he will use his experience to help his team, especially on the defensive side. Draymond is just busy defending Brown, LOL..maybe coach Kerr have some plans for him in game 5.

Draymond will be just fine.  He doesn't need to be a scorer on this team.  You have klay, steph, Poole, Wiggins, etc.  Dray just needs to male sure his defense is there.  That's what he brings to this team.  He is key to the 5 man rotations they have.
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 13, 2022, 03:12:54 PM
@YuginKadoya  Good choice.

I will most likely have 2 choices tonight. My first pick will be Golden State in the first quarter. (-0,5)
My second pick is Golden State wins in the first half. (-1,5)

Honestly, I'm not comfortable with this, I would rather pick Warriors to win 3rd quarter because that's their quarter. Although I believe that they will start strong at home, but the series has been very unpredictable and they have a very close competition in the 1st half, anyway, good luck to your bet.

In a game 5 at home all knotted up.  I like Warriors being up by 1 in the first quarter.  Might take the Celtics a little bit to get going.  Young and playoff inexperienced, they might come out tight.  I like this bet.

I don't it will have any affect on the price of eth.  It shoukd one already be priced in.  And second market forces will weigh more heavy on the price than a change from PoW to PoS
