2641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL...until when? on: June 21, 2021, 07:15:26 AM

you can cash out any time you want but if you just sell when the price was still high, the time must be on your side. or you can hold until you need the money badly. that's now the ideal if you want to maximise your profit. just always think of the worse scenario every time there is a bull market. because it usually will happen, it's a cycle that the market reacts normally so sell whenever there is a price bubble.
2642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 21, 2021, 07:07:31 AM
this guy has the guts to public his name and sell his books despite of what he did because what he did was a crime and its illegal .
isnt he scared that police will hunt him but for the boxers and referee its hard to say no because number 1 , there must be a big money offered to them and number 2 if they refused to this , their life would be in great danger .

sometimes it's just the two fighters who fix themselves according to him somewhat in this part. i couldn't imagine how the discussion will go. it's illegal but there is no one there to prosecute because basically, the fight is real.

a well-known Chinese politician for example who has the connection known for goons sits in the corner of a fighter. the goons probably had already paid each fighter a visit before the fight. they all will just put a show because someone is going to be in distress if the fight doesn't end the way they want it. most of the time these politicians and popular individuals stay close to the money maker/crowd's favorite fighter too.

So I asked about usdn staking last time where you get usdn and stake it... then you earn a lot of interest.  But now since my post, it seems like the interest rate dropped a lot?  Its now 8.51% APY.  Wasn' it at least 11% months ago?   So why did it drop so much?

I see you could stake usdc and usdt and it shows 14.73% APY and 14.74% APY for each of them but it says it returns usdclp and usdtlp.  But these are not the same value as usdc and usdt?

So example you stake 1000 usdc and 1000 usdt a month... with those rates... how much are you earning a month?  Of course if you keep staking it for a long time it keeps compounding.  So if those rates are the same for the entire year... how much usdc and usdt would you earn if you stake that much worth of usdc and usdt?  Because i know APY isn't the same as interest percent but confused because 1 usdclop is worth like 1.17xxxxxxx usdc right now etc.

it's not worth that is why you need to stake the coins which are also increasing their value like the WAVES token itself. you will only earn about 5% but if its USD price grows, i think it's more worth it than earning stablecoin but the percentage is slowly diminishing. looking at WAVES today, it appears like this is the only token that continues to grow in the bearish market.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 21, 2021, 02:24:47 AM

It may well be the case that this Farrell guy isn't legit, though. I highly doubt that actual high profile fight-fixers would willingly expose themselves due to potential trouble with law enforcement and retaliation from the underworld who lost money on bets, but they are certainly out there.

If it is about all book that he is promoting and to make money out of it, it's not even worth it, he will be in trouble all his life, from the authorities from organizations and from the syndicate, he is limiting himself for this and he will be targeted for liquidation at worse, there are many rumors about mafia involvement but no one's coming out to expose this, until this one, hope he has all the means to protect himself.

you just said it yourself no one coming out because authorities, not just the mafia members will soon come after this whistleblower. they protect each other much like how bike gang members protect each other.

we just see them in movies these days. if you watch the full video he actually said he was in hiding from this sports mafia and in the interview he also said he isn't naming anyone. of course, can' verify these to be true. chances are that he goes out now because the old folks he once associated with are dead.

for someone old as this guy, i'm not sure if he will still lie. probably just need legacy.
2645  Economy / Economics / Re: Not just money but oil is most important in the World on: June 20, 2021, 02:47:34 PM
To see that the biden are strong president we see that nobody willl take power of USA away.
Even China Will try with war...  But its Impossible USA have power over world oil and to get oil You need USA dollars and USA dollars u get it From USA Only Smiley

I don't see the great power of Biden if he doesn't have anyone behind him. Hasn't Biden been experienced since he was with Obama? so Biden is currently working diplomatically with China and Russia to mend their strained relationship. but have you ever thought that Putin is actually collaborating with the president of Turkey they are going to build a large company that was recently discovered on the Black coast near the Turkish border.

Obviously this has made Biden worried that since the discovery European countries have begun to approach Russia and Turkey. while from the beginning the hostility that was built between China and the US was a kind of cold war. Biden only looks weak when wooing without showing US anger.

Russia is also investing in other countries like Turkey, they really have plans to bridge countries in Europe to Asia like the belt and road of China.

the purpose of the meeting is to have a good relationship with Russia but instead, it's stirred down to elsewhere. i think Biden was asking for Putin to rejoin back to G7. the problem is that Russia has close ties with China, they are neighbors as it is.

2646  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Money Need Competition To Flourish on: June 20, 2021, 10:45:21 AM
Money needs a competition to thrive I believe. Since cryptocurrencies were released, fiat money has started having a tough time I think. Because it has a new competitor now. And it doesn't look like fiat will be the winner at the end.

each country thrives hard to provide their people and the economy is depicted by how competitive the price of the currencies against each other. the countries may be trading partners but their currency competes with each other. the country with more trading partners and the biggest volume are usually the ones to be considered base currency just like USD today.

Bitcoin is a newcomer to the world economy but this is not owned by a country nor a government. its the currency of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth. this last line is plagrized  Grin
2647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to revoke Bitcoin as legal tender? on: June 20, 2021, 08:32:48 AM
There is also that possibility that the next elected El Salvador president will vetoed it and revoke Bitcoin as legal tender in their country. However, if there are incentives and benefits from the government and their people then why revoke it? Just because an organization that facilitate help to countries in terms of loans (with high interest) telling them to repeal Bitcoin? that argument doesn't make any sense.
maybe weak hands is going crazy again right now because  of some news about El salvador and the results of the market after such news. Lol
In fact you have point there mate. " Wherein if they really have incentives and benefits on it  how comes they will revoke bitcoin." ? Seems this another fake news and really nonsense in my opinion. because it's not a joke when it's about money so how is that possible to happen ? .  Grin

the people will still keep using Bitcoin even if the law is vetoed. they should really understand that cryptocurrency is here to stay which no government can stop it. the more they try stopping it the more it's going to persist in coming back. the price may be low, it will still be used. it's like the kind of drug that use to be illegal but then eventually legalized.

2648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Breaking : Donaire Versus Casimero on: June 20, 2021, 04:35:07 AM

factoring the skills, experience, height, and reach advantage, it will be donaire that will win the match since he like to wait and counter which Casimiro always wants to be the aggressive contender to put pressure on.

does anybody think this is an exhibition fight? being a fan of both will probably make you pick draw. i will probably do that when it's listed in crypto sportsbook.

2649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much power does Elon still have over the crypto markets? on: June 19, 2021, 04:52:00 PM
Just because he says some negative or positive stuff, why do people react so much?

Whatever the reasons, are people done listening to him now or what?

I remember when he first tweeted anything about crypto it was doge. He just had a simple rocket with doge on the shuttle and posted that.
SOmehow.... this made doge go from less than a cent all the way up to 7 cents! Wtf kind of power is that?
Then he did some more doge tweets making it go as high as 70 cents.
but then with just one simple tweet, he dumped the bitcoin price. HOW!?
But yeah, has he numbed peoples nerves enough yet or what? It seems like it considering his last positive tweets haven't done much to bump the price up. What gives? Is his power done with or is it just easier to crash a market instead of pump it?

The previous events that you quoted are clear pronouncements on how the crypto market behaves, and it's dangerous, Elon's tweet is just simple there's nothing special about it. But the message depends on the one who reads it, suddenly many speculators and risk-takers are buying that 1 cents tweet driving the price of the "joke" to what is now.

it's part of the manipulation. i don't think the simply bitcoiner with just a fraction of BTC will start selling right after elon tweets negative about BTC. but when a big amount of BTC that moves the price is dumped, that's when the rest follows. its fun sometimes to just follow them as well. elon's tweet sometimes can be your trading signal.

2650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kraken exchange CEO takes a jab at Elon Musk over altcoin dethrone Bitcoin on: June 19, 2021, 04:14:14 PM

the talk about green energy will eventually die. over the years the discussion will die even when the bitcoin miners will still be mining using coal. It's been that way since. there is no way any altcoin would overthrow BTC. Charles of Cardano also troll about BTC's utility but it won't really make any difference. we are already used to using BTC and more countries are participating already.

many will come just like him Ronald instantly becomes like a Elon when he trolled Coca-Cola. Beckham can also be one soon or someone else that's famous.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer on: June 19, 2021, 03:22:47 PM
Mafias Most Wanted Fight Fixer - Charles Farrell  - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DIX9ZvDkFc

this is just an interview of this man named Charles Farrell whom he claimed to be a fight fixer. he is there to promote his book "low life" which is about this mob who arrange some fights which they bet and the boxer they'd be rooting has to win. so they'd be talking to the referee and the boxers secretly like thugs. interesting discussion actaully. and it's funny somehow.

he is now retired but he gave an example of a fight that he thinks was a fix fight particularly the match between Pacquiao vs Bradley and he says here that in the mind of Pacquiao was that everyone can see that I will win this fight so it's not going to hurt him. Manny will still be the best money maker after this loss. It does mean like Manny was also being arranged.

all i can say is that Mayweather vs Logan must be a fixed fight as well which everyone won. Mayweather didn't get the loss record and also Logan but everyone got the money and most probably the Mafia as well in sports betting. It does sound like we can analyze how they all work base on what we could observe.

should this be a big win if we pick DRAW for the exhibition fights? sadly we can't see listing of them in crypto sport

2652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netflix's Money, Explained: E04 Gambling on: June 18, 2021, 04:30:48 AM

some belief I got from the Episode. that's why we gamble.

a. Gambler's Fallacy one woman said that if she loses 4 spins, the 5th one must be big lol and this is from the episode itself and I quote the narrator "We keep playing because we believe a win is due and then surprise if it doesn't come."

b. Illusion of control which is the belief that you can increase your odds in the face of pure chance for the lottery players.

these two may probably exist as well in trader's mind. some of us keep losing money when betting the price could go up in a period of time and then eventually lose still. it's not even a binary option but simply the spot market.

2653  Economy / Speculation / Re: Opinions according to the current market situation on: June 18, 2021, 04:03:21 AM

where do we see that the market had many activities after the G7 summit?

i will probably relate this to whales accumulating more BTC since the articles surrounding these days is that more institutions adding BTC to their balance sheets.
while G7 seems to be planing some sort of their shenanigans, i watched interviews on NBC News all the way to the end and Putin seems not interested in their plans.

2654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can we get another golden oppurtunity to buy? on: June 18, 2021, 03:39:11 AM

Bitcoin is the only asset that every time it cycles it exceeds the ATH so the next might just doubt the $65K. and if you still looking for a golden opportunity by the time it's $120K, you really have lost this golden opportunity. just remember that by that time, mili-satoshi might just have a big value too and its going to be sad for you to own only milisatoshis.  Grin  some of us will proudly own satoshis!
2655  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the Lightning Network Solve ALL Scalability Issues? on: June 18, 2021, 03:16:19 AM
devs are in the process of making lightning 2.0 (layer 3)
its where you dont vault up funds into a channel. but instead deposit funds into a factory multisig
the factory then offchain creates channels below it in millisats.
so users cant broadcast, but can close session with the factory and so the factory aggregates the channel balances and recreates new channels to rebalance the channels.

thus even less onchain transactions as it wont require onchain broadcasts/settlement to close/reopen

Hmm,

You deposit/lock your Bitcoins with the Factory, and then the Factory creates the channels for you.
Has anyone told them the so called Factory is now a Bank.  Wink  Cheesy

it's centralized we know that. maybe they'd find solutions to it as well.

LN is being used that's very important though there are limitations to these channels we haven't heard of some issues yet that actually happened. but there are already speculations as to what's to come. the solution is also coming.  so let's just wait for what could the devs bring.
2656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anonymity and Privacy while using Bitcoin. Which one is the right word to use? on: June 17, 2021, 11:41:42 PM
If the transaction is not linked to your identity, it is still because you maintain privacy because no one will disturb you of anything.
I mean, how do you maintain privacy minus people tracking your address? As soon as you buy BTC let's say using p2p. It means the other party who sold you the Bitcoins now knows your address and how you are probably going to spend Bitcoins in your transactions, even if you are anonymous.

I don't think that's privacy. The bitcoin blockchain is transparent. I personally don't think transparency and privacy can be in the same sentence, but transparency and anonymity can.

No, it is private. Example of anonymous transactions are that of monero in which no record of public ledger, so nothing known about the transaction.

Do not get it confused. The question people always ask is 'is Bitcoin transaction anonymous? Not is 'the person making use of Bitcoin anonymous'? Bitcoin transactions are not anonymous but the person making use of it in a way the Bitcoin is not linked to him is anonymous, while the person needs to maintain privacy in order to remain anonymous, but Bitcoin transaction itself is not anonymous.

What you are saying about Monero transactions is that they are rather private and anonymous if the parties in the transaction decide to be anonymous. Anything or transaction that has no public record or can't be viewed by the public is private, but something or transaction or donation can be anonymous and at the same time the transaction or what is donated can be viewed by the public.

Am not confused but from my understanding an anonymous transaction is a right term too, just like you have heard about an anonymous donation (you know what the donation is but the person who sent it is anonymous)

you just have to avoid any transactions that will make you input your name. this is hard to do whenever you want to cash out actually. p2p isn't private too. just like exchanges, they keep records. when kyc is submitted, they own it.

keep an account where you can disclose to any 3rd party which has enough funds no one will bat an eye. then also create a wallet where you could also keep privacy.

2657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the most optimistic result of Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2021, 10:41:27 PM
bitcoin is a decentralized currency, which there is no legal/government entity that regulates unlike money, which serves to become one of the transaction tools in the future because Bitcoin was one of the first implementations of the so-called cryptocurrency (crypto currency?) so let's just wait for this crypto currency to develop and grow

well it had already grown. that positive sign is already way more than 1000x. one optimistic result is that when the FED keeps printing USD, the BTC will somehow go up. and El Salvador country had kickstarted Bitcoin to be legal tender although they may not be the first to do it, they have made it to the media which some countries are also considering what they do. it's just hard to see when the price will blowup to break the ATH again.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My evolution to playing on Bitcoin casinos on: June 17, 2021, 09:57:27 PM
What’s important for me in a casino is the following: superior customer service, honestly fair, regulated/licensed casinos, best lines and promotions and offer the best terms and conditions regarding pay outs and play.
Does anyone here have experiences with bitcoin casinos that are favorable? Am I missing any of critical traits that a good casino should have?
Thanks,
Crypto_Capitalist

Security comes on top of the list for me. If a casino is not secure, it could get attacked and gamed putting it and it's active customers at a risk of losing funds.

One thing i liked about online casinos, particularly the ones dealing with crypto is that i get to avoid the over taxation (which is even double taxation) that is levied on our winnings in my Country.

I also prefer security over anything else because that's how we keep our funds safe. That's also the reason why I choose reputable and licensed casinos so if they would ask for KYC, I wouldn't doubt the safety of my personal information. There are actually well-known casinos that are secured and offers lots of great features and bonuses.

when i think of security i prefer to see my balances on my personal wallet than having to send the coins to a deposit address to the casino. only few might just consider this because BTC doesn't have the feature of smart contract.

so many crypto casinos are listed but they are not really known. some are not even doing signature campaigns here in bitcointalk. interesting to see how they got the reputation.

2659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron network possible on Metamask? on: June 17, 2021, 11:27:46 AM

metamask is a browser extension, if you want to use dapps you can use TRONLINK as that's for TRON. if the team however can make an update to metamask where TRC assets can be stored there is nothing wrong with that. its going to be convenient for crypto users for they can import all their assets to just one browser extension that's a good development.

2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 World’s Strongest Man on: June 15, 2021, 03:04:26 AM
Will there be crypto sportsbooks that will list the matches on this event?

It seems, it is more on fiat-based casinos - https://www.gamblingsites.com/entertainment-betting/worlds-strongest-man/. Better if we can see some top bookies here to list some of the matches from this event.

I didn't see one for crypto betting as well.
Though there might be some bookies for fiat but I doubt there wouldn't have enough bettors. I don't know I could be wrong.
World's strongest man is not new to me I've seen this competition before, but I think there were only small number of bettors for this event just like the wall climbing competition or the American ninja competition. Most of the sportsbook does not offer betting lines for small market.

However, there would always be a betting site or place where these events are very popular.
World's strongest man is not new to me yet this is my first time seeing it here.
Perhaps, this isn't really that popular amongst to crypto bettor but I believe it's not limited to fiat-based casinos out there. It's just that they aren't that very popular unlike to the other sports that we've seen on the Olympics.

My question is, does the Olympic games have a crypto based casino intended for them?
It might be just a fiat-based casino only if there isn't a crypto betting.

with less than 10% of the people around the world who are familiar with crypto, there isn't a crypto sportsbook that will add this event. this isn't done regularly like every week. there might be with Olympics, it's a huge event where every country is watching.

hardly know any of them https://www.theworldsstrongestman.com/athletes/

i was already seeing Hafthor Bjornsson to b part of this but he isn't among them.
