2641  Other / Archival / Re: Bank Account Freezed on: July 31, 2020, 02:38:51 PM
After a long time, I found a right place to ask my question.

Last year, my bank account got frozen. Bank said that my account is blocked based on the instruction from Cyber Crime.

I did few P2P Trades on P2P Platform. Is that the reason?

No one has contacted me so far? Does any faced similar issue and got it resolved? If Yes, how?

Update:

I am from INDIA.

There could only be 3 reasons why banks froze your account:
  • Your account was suspicious for doing illegal activities
  • You have unpaid debts on your creditors
  • You have unpaid debts on your government

You should know what is happening on your bank account.
In your case, I guess the bank thought that your account was suspicious so they froze it.

You can defend yourself if you knew that you did not do anything wrong.

I agree that you should keep your silence until you get your own lawyer because they are the one who can defend you legally.
2642  Other / Meta / Re: Am I the oldest member here? on: July 31, 2020, 01:43:29 PM
Last month I has my 78th birthday, is there anyone here who is older than me. I can still remember snatches from the air raids in the second world war, and it is interesting how some things make such an impression on children's minds.

Obviously I have a lot of friends who are over sixty, and not many seem to be able to understand the concept of virtual assets, even when I cite the examples of stories, and fiat currencies.

Sir can we know your background? I mean what was your job and how did you last for 78 years and be close to the forum, bitcoin, and cryptocurrency? I was amazed with your capability being 78 and still kicking the forum with the knowledge and experiences you share. For the past years I've seen you're post were too great and helpful. And looking that you use Kali, I see you are somehow a tech savvy, either a programmer, a hacker, or simply a bitcoin enthusiast that considers first his safety.

Enough said, Belated Happy Birthday. This post maybe too late, but fun fact that you posted this thread on my birthday lol Grin
2643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is bitcoin a currency or but also a money on: July 31, 2020, 01:08:11 PM
What about bitcoin? I will like you opinion on this but as for me, bitcoin itself is completely money because it is also a safe haven like gold, currencies can be seen physically but what makes the currencies money is the value they possess, this makes me conclude that bitcoin is money, bitcoin have such value and a safe haven people turned during economy inflation.

Can't it be both money and currency? Isn't a currency be used as a money? As for me, Bitcoin is both. It is a currency for trading, and a money that can be used for buying. There's no chance that that it would only be a currency nor only be money. Why? If ever it was only a currency, then there's no chance that stores nor services accept it as a mode of payment. And if ever it was only a money, then there's no such thing as Bitcoin trading and there would be no crypto market at all.
2644  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ever wondered on how many days BTC has been above a certain value? on: July 31, 2020, 12:40:02 PM
It turns out that BTC Price has been equal to or surpassed these values on the reflected number of occasions (days):
-   10K on 189 occasions (distinct days)
-   11K on 112 occasions (distinct days)
-   12K on 59 occasions (distinct days)
-   13K on 46 occasions (distinct days)
-   14K on 41 occasions (distinct days)
-   15K on 30 occasions (distinct days)
-   16K on 20 occasions (distinct days)
-   17K on 16 occasions (distinct days)
-   18K on 6 occasions (distinct days)
-   19K on 4 occasions (distinct days)
-   20K on 1 occasion (distinct days)

Can you also have a data if it was a growing occasions or just simply a stable one? I mean is it gradually growing or it happens in a common month annually? Such data could be use to predict when year that Bitcoin would reach again the 20K highest price, because it's too obvious that if 10K instances that days it reached would be hitting often, it would soon as well reach the 11k, 12k, so on and so forth. But then the question is that what chance it could often reach it and how long would it take to occur multiple occasions of a limit.

I hope you're getting me lol Cheesy

~

Gusto ko din sana ipromote yung sarili kong thread which talks about ethical hacking and how attackers hacks users through files and mobile applications.
[DISCUSSION] Why you shouldn't trust any anonymous files and applications.

Though di siya ganon kaganda and ka-informative yung content (kasi na move din sa off-topic kaya na dump agad), I hope it would help yung iba nating mga kababayan lalo na yung mga download lang nang download ng files and apps online hehe. Salamat!

Bumping this kasi nabasa ko ang thread and I see it was both informative and helpful lalo na kung newbie ang mga magbabasa, and I think this thread fits the category of a good topic about sa security and privacy. Hope cryptoaddictchie would consider adding this to his translated thread.

IMO, this must be pinned kahit yung mga threads na naglalaman ng helpful and informative threads. Though translated, I think pinning such would make a huge help sa mga kapwa nating pinoy na newbies here in the forum. Isn't it right? And if ever na kayanin and may time lalo na ang mga pinoy translators natin, I think translating those helpful threads inside the list would be appreciated lalo na sa mga newbie na hirap naman sa ingles (rare case pero possible). Just a thought.
2646  Other / Meta / Re: An unfair treatment of Bitcointalk moderators on: July 31, 2020, 11:05:51 AM
Mistakes are common in this life, and we all make mistakes at one point or the other in our lives. I am writing this on behalf of my friend who has opened up to like 4 accounts and all has been banned, he even paid for like 2 of them for upgrade. Yet it was blocked at the slightest error. It is now safe to conclude that the admins of this forum want to make this a money making venture, looking for every excuse to ban people without a fair warning.
He told me the post that was claimed to have been erred has been deleted, isn't that enough punishment? Then the account got banned permanently, up to 4 accounts, there's no hope when one appeals, i am appealing to the moderator responsible to please unban my friends account @da_primate(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=947001;sa=summary).

He promised to abide by the rules of the forum to the letters going forward.

We don't see that it was on behalf of your friend. If it was so, shouldn't you be not a newbie here? I mean such reasoning could still point that you are that "friend" that were banned and just posted such thread for what purpose? Un-ban a shitposter that most of his post only is a one-liner and even had many of them on off-topic section? Dude this isn't a twitter thing that you could post as shorter as you want. Yes he had freedom, but making 4 accounts with the same points of unnecessary short posts would be enough reason to be banned. Also, with your newbie account "protecting" your friend is also a mere point that he is evading his ban.

Not to hate, but there's no unfair treatment for over the years until you voice out the impossible.
2647  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Congratulations to me on: July 31, 2020, 10:31:52 AM
Congratulations to me...

Now that you've reached Member rank, the problem/hindrance you could encounter now is discouragement, time, and lack of ideas. Why? As long as you are here in forum or you wanted to contribute more, it would also take a huge step and change to your discipline to encourage yourself to study more of anything related to bitcoin and cryptocurrencies or just simply anything informative you could share to the forum, in which also requires you to spend most of your time just for such studying. And if ever you haven't done such thing, time would come that you'll soon experience lacking of ideas that could turn your quality post onto a shitty one.

That's just a simple experience that I would like to share. Hope you would do greater from time to time!
2648  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment plan on: July 31, 2020, 10:01:26 AM

1. bitcoin 40%
2. ripple 30%
3. bch 30%
4. ethereum 10%

What do you think of this list?

Don't invest on Ripple if you plan to make it on long term. It is centralized and soon it can be dumped but I do also trust it. But then again, 30% of someone's holdings just for XRP is too much. Better invest more on ethereum than ripple. And BCH? Really? It had so many issues especially it was separated in two back then, hence investing on it wasn't the brightest idea. Bitcoin and Ethereum with 50/50 investment is enough and can make you huge profit. Or better consider investing on stocks as well so that you wouldn't have that much loss if ever but you could have bigger profits if you are on long term investment.
2649  Other / Archival / Re: TRON BLACKJACK: BEST TRX BETTING SITES on: July 31, 2020, 09:10:35 AM
Hi Ratimov, I am curious about it. Did you think that playing blackjack with TRX provide any advantage respect any other cryptocurrencies?

I think he just wanted to somehow tell us a use of TRON as it has it's own exclusive wallet as well, and its advantage would be ease of access and being convenient if you would directly use a wallet that holds only a specific currency, and of course its low fees compared to others. But I see there's really not a huge difference when you would use other currencies, only the speed and cost of the transaction (fully opinionated)

IMO, Those list was just the best betting sites that supports such currency. But what about the others that supports it as well but then have not that much big market? I think they must be included and can be tagged as simply sites that supports..
2650  Other / Archival / Re: [sportsbet.io] Responsible gambling failure, not honouring their own t&c's. on: July 31, 2020, 08:30:32 AM

My suggestion to you is to NOT use any forums, not use intermediaries - your best bet is to use a solicitor/lawyer and sue SportsBet.io for their negligence.
Only a lawsuit will yield you a result.

But then again what country does sportsbet.io's office and its staff resides? Wouldn't be that hard to detect and know where they are and issue a case against them, especially amidst this pandemic? I think it was applicable to you as you know where the company resides and was near from where you are, but then if it would take flights and the sportbet was afar from PlayerX47, I don't think it would be worth it, NOT UNLESS, the OP holds huge amount of bitcoins that sportsbet.io refuses to pay.
2651  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tip]: Anti-Phishing Apps or extensions on: July 31, 2020, 06:07:58 AM
I don't use Opera, so i must ask why you mentioned using opera would be enough? Does it have good built-in phishing protection?

It has built-in adblocks and anti-trackers, and it commonly blocks supicious and malicious websites as well (based on my 2 year experience using it). And if ever you would ask me, I would really recommend the use of it. I had no issues since then and I know myself that there had been no instance that I was phished. And with regards to the topic, whether you use opera or not, the issue isn't on what browser nor broswer extension you use, whether you use Brave, Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, Firefox, would still depend on the user's actions.

  • Nortron
  • Eset

With regards to anti-virus applications, i do suggest the use of window's default anti-virus and anti-malware, Windows defender. Why? They update it everyday with what viruses are created each and everyday to block it. And as for me, the use of third party AVs is somehow risky as most of them (especially if wasn't licensed) were the ones making their own viruses to detect.

Onti lang din kasi gumagamit ng Discord sa mga Pinoy madalas lang ito sa mga users na may constant and fast internet connection,
Why so? As far as I know hindi naman malakas kumain ng bandwidth ung Discord, unless syempre pag ginagamit mo ung voicechat feature. Lagi ko nagagamit ung Discord kahit naka data lang ako.

and mostly ito yung mga users na onto gaming.
yes, pero ginagamit rin ng mga online markets. Telegram alternative.

I also haven't try it mas better ba yon sa telegram or even sa facebook messenger?
Completely subjective.

And pardon if I was pertaining to the past experiences, now I've tried it and masasabi kong convenient nga siya. But then again comparable din kasi yung accessibility, simplicity, and yung talagang number of users na gumagamit ng Telegram, Messenger, and Discord, kaya masasabi kong least popular pa ito sa ngayon.

Overall, the ideas you've said somehow changed me and pursued me to try it more. I'll recommend Discord to my friends as well to have a community. With regards naman sa topic, I think mk4, you should reopen the channel you've made on Discord. Somehow, I see that it could affect to build a much stronger community here in the forum.
2653  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance trading bots are garbage on: July 31, 2020, 05:01:21 AM
Has anyone else in here noticed how easy it is to predict the trading bot trends on binance? Tongue

Dude it's your choice whether you use trading bots or not. Also, Binance isn't the only trading platform that bots can be used, it is applicable to anything. Do you even know what bots are for? We all see you've hated something that never affected you at all. You're free to express hate, but not such hate that you could somehow offend those programmers who worked hard and study for years and months to learn both programming and trading to create a bot just to be justified as "garbage".

And yes, it is trendy. What's wrong with it? Did even anyone had issues regarding the use of it at all? I don't see any valid argument in here nor an interesting issue to be opened up.
2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Question about sryptoskull on: July 30, 2020, 03:20:42 AM
They give you 30 claims of free faucet per day or 30 claims and that`s all you got? I registered 2 days ago, claimed 30 times and there is no refreshing of amount of claims. It is written - "you have no faucet available"

Have you even read its Terms and conditions first? I know almost none of us do it, but if you would be playing or encountering such faucets that requires deposits, better read its T&Cs to assure your safety (both in your identity and in your holdings). They also have rules and regulations that you must read first before engaging on such activities to as well assure if there would be actions that are prohibited nor must be limited.

And I think the bottom line here is simple, you haven't read the photo indicated by GreatArkansas hence you didn't know you must deposit first, hence leaving you with a simple yet easy to comprehend message that you have no faucet available.

If the answers were right and satisfied you, better lock the thread to avoid unnecessary and duplicate comments.

2656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Tip]: Anti-Phishing Apps or extensions on: July 29, 2020, 11:07:01 AM
I prefer not to trust all kinds of extensions since recently a lot of extensions are being created for fraudulent purposes. While doing its job of protecting against phishing, at the same time, the same extension can collect information about the user, engage in surveillance, hidden mining, steal passwords, and everything else...

Indeed. There are numerous extensions that are reportedly stealing data from it's users as it was the easiest way to access one's browser and browsed website activities. OP, I think it is too risky to trust nor promote such extensions despite the fact that the 2 of what you've mentioned are open-sourced. Using opera or simply not making mistakes such as trusting nor clocking anonymous links would be enough. Phishing is easy to be avoided, as long as everyone are careful what websites or what files to download.

The biggest tip is simply, Think before you click.
2657  Other / Meta / Re: Request for Altcoin Gambling Child Board on: July 29, 2020, 05:36:10 AM
I want to propose a Child Board dedicated for gambling in altcoin section. Altcoin Services Section is too crowded by many random altcoin services which result to gambling thread was easily being flooded and can't notice by possible player. Only few gamblers are visiting Altcoin Section since there is no gambling board there.

It's a bit unfair that decentralized casino that can't do cross chain to BTC can't be post on Gambling Section on Marketplace which technically speaking, they are classified as gambling. So I believe it will be balance to create a separate Gambling Child Board in Altcoin Section if posting an ANN thread of an Altcoin Casino in Marketplace>Gambling is prohibited.

I hope that theymos will consider my humble request.

Thank and regards.

-CT

There's no need to add altcoin gambling section as Gambling section itself already accepts any kind of thread as long as it is about gambling (lol of course). Is there any thread makers whom want to post altcoins on gambling? Or there are even casino projects that only focuses on altcoins? I don't think so. Such threads can fit on both atlcoin discussion and gambling. if you were still aren't satisfied, better consider the descriptions of such boards and what those really are for. Nothing is prohibited as long as the ANN thread fits where it was posted.

And I think this would fit on Meta section. But moving this would be unnecessary as the suggestion wouldn't also be considered nor be agreed by most of the users in the forum, even for the administrators.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz on: July 29, 2020, 03:49:54 AM
~
When it comes to KO percentage then there no doubt that Gervonta do have it yet you can really foreseen its sheer power basing on of that percentage but i do disagree on the point you had said that
experience doesnt matter? No it is a big factor because you cant easily outboxed someone that do had much better experience that you are. Number of fights gaps does really counts because he wont able to
pile up those numbers if he's not good enough but well we can presume that younger and having some strong punching power will really have that kind of chance and can close up the gaps.

I said titles Leo has doesn't matter, not his 37 game experiences. I know it matters and was a huge factor to consider upon betting on Boxing, but fight gaps doesn't really count as an advantage nor be considered when it comes to whom could really win or not. But look at Gervonta's age and his fight count, he had most (almost everything) of his fights end up in knockouts, and with their 7 year gap, I think there's even a possibility that Gervonta could double those records in those years, beating the record and even Leo's "valuable experiences" (or beat Leo himself as well)
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should there be any age limit of Gambling? on: July 29, 2020, 02:38:12 AM
It's a nice topic huh.

Well according to the Minor law of Wikipedia, age below 18 years old is considered as a minor. And yes, minor age doesn't belong to this activity and in the context of alcohol and of course the gambling with the age below of 21 years old aren't allowed to gamble or even drink alcohol/liquor. But this was based on this on US law, and each country has different laws and jurisdictions regarding prohibition of their citizens.

Every other countries has its own different legal age and 18 is only the majority of it. Take Nigeria or Japan as an example. Nigeria has a legal age of consent at 11 while Japan has 13. Hence, their culture can see that those ages are already matured enough and can do activities that's only can be done by people aged 18 in most countries. It would all depend on the culture and the law of a country as we had different perspective in what age are capable and good enough to do such activities.

But for me, there shouldn't be an age limit ONLY in crypto or online gambling, as it would be hard to control and assure that the client is of the legal age, NOT UNLESS the platform would require KYC upon registration (in which most of us aren't fond of). But it is normal that 21 years old is the legal age to enter physical gambling and casinos in most countries and in most cases.
2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz on: July 28, 2020, 10:27:33 AM
If I see the match history: champinon.info-davis-vs-santa-cruz, (Gervonta Davis vs Leo Santa Cruz), Leo looks professional, but from the scores they got both: 23-37 / 0-1-0-1, it seems that Leo are superior.

From their age 25/32, Gervonta is physically much younger, however, from more experience to Leo.

I think Gervonta has the higher possibility to win (based on my observation in his fights), as knockouts matter more than just wins and add his 23-streak wins without any loses nor draws. Also, most of the times younger ones often beat those whom have better experiences. I mean 95% KO rate of Gervonta is a huge gap and much comparable to 51% of Leo, and that was an advantage. Though Leo had won two titles, I think that wouldn't matter at all.

Hopefully this would be aired online or on my local television. I'm eager to bet and watch such a beautiful fight.  Grin
