2641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can Gambling earn someone a living on: March 05, 2023, 09:00:12 PM
So my question now is that can someone use gambling as a means of earning living?
In my country, I'd say yes. I see how the gambling industry thrives here because of how they make referrals through the agent commission system.
Those agents are gonna look for real players that will deposit and sign up through them and they'll also be the way for them to withdraw if ever a gambler wants to cash out.
I've got friends on social media that do this for a living and they really are grateful to have it and at the same time, they're not just agents but also gamblers so just to answer the question, it's a yes and whether you're a gambler or not, there's a way depending on the system of the casino available in your country.
2642  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with profitability on: March 05, 2023, 08:29:19 PM
$5 - $10 with a capital of $1000 on a daily basis is already good enough for me. The risk is too low and I don't have to make a lot if I do day trading.
I have seen folks that do trade with such huge capital and then try to achieve more than the capital and that's the riskier thing to do.
But as someone who wants to take lesser risk, I'll just take the easy way of not expecting a lot and not trying hard for me to have a simple and easier goal as I day trade.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambler has 100% trust in each stake on: March 04, 2023, 09:42:52 PM
A bet is a bet and a gamble is a gamble. Even if you say that you're trusting you've staked 100% as you've said, it can still fail.
Nothing will change but only your personal trust and belief in the team or player whom you're betting for. As for me, even if I have confidence in what I'll bet for, still, I don't give that 100% belief in them because anything can happen. And I can think of it as a small gambler, so, how much more those that are gambling a lot and with bigger bets.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Build your Own Casino(online/offline) If You Know You Can? on: March 04, 2023, 09:13:30 PM
That's too much management, and starting it up will definitely eat a lot of my time. I'll choose to enjoy my money and gamble wherever I want. Building up is costly and you may hear people saying that it's a profitable business which is true. But building one is out of context for those who think it is worthwhile. That will require a lot of time, money/capital, and effort until you see a little light on it. It is not even sure that the one you'll be building is going to be successful so, I'll choose to remain what I am now and remain low profile.
2645  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the easiest way to explain bitcoin to a regular person? on: March 04, 2023, 11:07:27 AM
The easiest term would be 'internet money' and there's a deeper explanation if they want to proceed from that term you'll tell them.
As much as possible I avoid explaining with jargon words because most of the people in my circle aren't really technical in-depth with technologies, crypto, and blockchain. The easiest terms I use like online money, investment, and asset but when it comes to investment, they're becoming scared of them because many of them became a victim of online investment scams. But from there, I always get to explain that bitcoin is different from those that they've encountered.
2646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did they not know about the importance of Bitcoin? on: March 04, 2023, 10:08:25 AM
Let's just be thankful to them that has spent first their bitcoins because only a very few people believed in it. Without their initiative of spending it and also thanks to the buyers and takers of their bitcoins because if it's not for all of them, there won't be any progress or there will be little progress at all. I've heard laszlo being interviewed and he never regrets what he has done with the bitcoins he used to purchase those pizzas. He has made history, they have made history and those actions they've done before, we're the ones who is enjoying its benefits today.

Smiley
2648  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: March 04, 2023, 12:49:43 AM

2649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: March 03, 2023, 11:57:13 PM
What I can say is that just leave some shiba inu in your portfolio if you've got that much. Well, I don't have it and I think that the hype for meme coins is done and it won't be pumping the same as before. But if ever some crazy thing happens to the market and shiba inu gets pumped then you're not going to miss it and you have to act quickly with it and sell it. Just like those people that have dogecoin and never sold any until they see the all-time high and from there, that's the time when they've sold most of their dogecoins for profits. So, on this, you really have to have a game plan and when you should start selling.
2650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 03, 2023, 11:19:23 PM
I would like to give some advice, especially to those who are new to the market. Whoever there is a pump in the market, you think you should invest in Bitcoin and Altcoins and you may benefit from it. But after your investment, the market goes down, and you think you are losing money, so you sell everything, again when you see the market go up you invest. This may you to get hurt again and again and again. So whenever you have to invest, invest a small portion of your portfolio. Never trade on emotions calculate well and then invest in it, also the type of people who lose in trading the et are the ones who"
- panic
- Doubt
- Hurry
- Fomo
- Angry
- worried
A major key for a trader is your enemy is always his emotions.
All it ends with what you've said as trading with emotions. Based on experience, it's never really a good decision that you trade while you're experiencing something that affects your emotion. It will not end up with a good result and you'll just blame yourself afterward because it's not truly an effective way to trade. Whether you trade small or big, that will show what type of trader you are if you're getting yourself uncaught with those decisions. Much better not to trade so that you won't commit a mistake. Well, it could be manageable if you're about to trade with small amounts and you'll just spare it even if you lose but it all depends on how much the pool of your funds in trading because even if it's quite small, for the others it could be big already.
2651  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More Awareness needed, 100$ or Bitcoin??? on: March 03, 2023, 10:52:19 PM
Looking at this condition, I actually feel that there are still 2 possibilities that could happen because looking at the conditions, even though it was indeed done on the street and randomly, we also have to see where it was taken and whether crypto is already well-known there or not because this also depends on where and who is asked. .
When the situation there doesn't know about bitcoin, there's nothing wrong with that choice because they don't know what bitcoin is like, considering that it might still be something taboo there, but when you ask people who already know about it, it's clear the possibility will be different.
I think it's not a matter of taking $100 or bitcoins.
Even when he was asked about bitcoins, he didn't know that this indicated that indeed the questioner was also aware that they would choose $100 over bitcoins.
The location really matters where the survey was made and if someone goes to the place like it's been a tech place, there will be more people that are in that area to be choosing bitcoins even if they don't like it because they know that the value is way higher than a $100.
There's bias on these things or factors that would really affect the sentiment of many and that varies so it's no question why it seems that many still don't know about btc.
2652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: March 03, 2023, 09:54:52 PM
I really hope that the year will be similar to 2019, but not to 2018 Smiley
Most likely you are right, because just recently bitcoin was on the Highs, and now it needs to gather strength for a new rally. After the maximum peak in 2018, he had to save energy for two and a half years until mid-2020, after which the price rushed up.
I am thinking that we're done with the likes of 2018 and that has happened in 2022. And next year is just the halving so, if we'll compare it with those past years, it's most likely that we have probably seen the bottom or if it's not yet, we're about to see it yet soon and we're close to it.

I hope everything goes faster now.
I'd like to see it go fast but I think we may see that phasing after the halving next year. And that's when everything is almost skyrocketing so fast like every minute for which what we've seen in the past bull runs.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 03, 2023, 09:23:03 PM
I am from Philippines but I didn’t know that there’s such a thread about PBA. I am a basketball fan (I do play). PBA is the first professional basketball league in Asia and was founded in 1975. It currently consists of 12 teams and plays two conferences per year: the Philippine Cup and the Governor's Cup. Each conference typically lasts for 2-3 months, with a short break in between.

There’s also an alternative league in the country. The MPBL (Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League) a Philippine professional basketball league that began in 2017. It includes both professional and amateur players from across the country, with the goal of promoting basketball in the Philippines. The league has 31 teams and plays its regular season games on a home-and-away basis. It has a large following and aids in the development of basketball in smaller cities and provinces.

But I still prefer PBA since I like watching and betting on them.
Actually, there are many other leagues in our country and MPBL is just one of it. But garnering the most fans will still go with PBA but it won't be surprising if the viewership is going down on it because of how PBA seems to show always the same championship team and the favorable trades are always with a couple of teams.

Congrats to all those who picked them before the game started. They are the underdog, easy double for your money.
If I've got money to bet for that match, I'd certainly pick with Danny I's Converge but then I wasn't able to bet and I'm sure that many fans did probably bet just to show support of his coming back.
2654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and education on: March 03, 2023, 09:04:34 PM
Yes.
You actually don't need to understand that much technical stuff about it. You can buy it as easily as you do shop online and then you'll learn the rest later on.
But about statistics you probably are thinking, it's not really too confusing to know what it is all about. I think you mean about the history of it and you can simply view its charts that will show you its past runs through a graph and that's easier to understand than going through articles or any other method that might make you understand about it.
2655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 03, 2023, 05:51:07 PM
LeBron James' injury looks serious. He will be out of the hardwood for at least 3 more weeks. Due to his age, it can be difficult to come back from injuries. It won't mean much if the Lakers don't make the playoffs. Without him, the Lakers have to win games. Players such as Schröder, Reaves, Beasley should contribute more to the score and give the team victories in these difficult days. The Lakers are standing right on the edge. They can finish the league in 7th place or they can stay out of play-in position.
Looking at their most recent games, even without Lebron and with these players, they can manage to have those wins. It's just the setup that they need to come along with.
And I'm sure that they'll be able to get some more wins even if Lebron won't appear in the upcoming games but his presence on the bench side is much more important in support of his teammates.
They know that they're on the bad side and that's why they're eager to win more up to the point that even Lebron isn't going to be with them inside the ring.
2656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: March 03, 2023, 05:27:20 PM
I'd like to say just as what others thinking about taking just for a few but not entirely bag-holding it. If you think that there's sort of big thing that will be affected positively then take a few so that you won't just miss it. You don't have to believe the positive news that comes out specific for it or any other altcoin because those are just buzz makers trying to give some little pump to a coin. So to answer it with yes or no, yes but just minimal for how much you think is worth to be in it. But if you think that it won't do much for you then just take it as a no then.

And it means it hard to answer though, I mean at some point we all know that XRP used to be a good project to begin with, they are even behind BTC and ETH for a long time. But then we also know that they are a bankers crpyto, centralized at the very definition and that's why there are inventors who shy away from XRP even if it looks very solid. So really depends on how you will look at it from the outside, so yeah, maybe it's not that bad to have some in your portfolio, but not to big that it will be in the majority, IMHO.
If it's just for investment without any feeling of being against to what crypto should be, I agree that it all depends on how we look at it.
There are people that don't want to invest into projects that goes against with what cryptos are all about and so if it's a centralized project, it's more likely being dumped and ignored by them. But then if it's all about the possibility to make a profit, that changes and its standards based on how you look at the situation of this coin and also your capacity.
2657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: March 03, 2023, 04:59:27 PM
I have been gone for a while and now I am back, I am fully prepared to build some long term hold bags with the new trending utilities in the crypto space, I still somehow believe that Metaverse and A.I will generate big gains by 2025, what coins are you currently looking forward to accumulating? Out of Metaverse and Artificial intelligence is fine.
We've got an opposite belief with Metaverse but with AI, I guess we're just a few steps closer until it's gonna be a trend in the market. We'll get to know that soon and maybe get a glimpse of it next year.
But other than that, I am making sure that I get bitcoin other than any other alts and after bitcoin, I get the top ones like ETH and BNB. Yeah, I'm just rotating with those two as of the moment and not going far with random lottery altcoins that someone might think of having tremendous gains. I want to have that type of gain but I'm going with the slowly but surely strategy on this market.
2658  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [NEWS] GCrypto is now available to selected users on: March 03, 2023, 04:26:55 PM

(https://help.gcash.com/hc/en-us/sections/15635777518105-GCrypto)

Para sa btc ang minimum to send ay 0.005BTC at ang maximum to send ay 0.3BTC at ang fixed network fee ay 0.001BTC. Masyadong mataas.
SLP network fee = 1 slp
2659  Local / Pamilihan / Re: What is the best crypto exchange in the Philippines? on: March 03, 2023, 03:54:28 AM

Naalala mo yun?

Even if kung mataas ang fees, pero kung nandoon ang convenience, I might completely transfer my funds from coins to GCash crypto platform.
2660  Economy / Economics / Re: How we survive food shortages on: March 02, 2023, 11:53:43 PM
If you've got free space in your house like on the balcony, rooftop, or even by the front door where sunlight can reach. You can start planting crops and veggies there. You don't have to have that farming system and it's just like having a mini garden in your backyard or elsewhere you can do it. Planting those fruit-bearing plants would be good as a start. I've done this but not yet with the veggies, so, with my test, the plants that I've planted grew properly and I'll do it now with the help of my mom as she's the one who really started it out.
It may not seem that much but it's a good practice.
