1641  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Axie Infinity Philippine Thread on: May 24, 2023, 09:34:01 AM
SLP, RON, AXS, at WETH.

1642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking is not as trustless as it used to be on: May 23, 2023, 11:43:32 PM
Change is constant and despite being advocates of whole decentralization, we'll see these projects go near to the favor of the government instead of going with what the people requires.

Do you think there's hope for PoS to become decentralized again? If not, why? Can we blame governments and VCs for the path PoS has taken lately? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
There could be some hope but to whom? to what project? ETH is the most popular of them all and this is giving them the idea that if they go with this path, the government wouldn't be so harsh to the policies that they'll go through against them.
1643  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Could Litecoin Really Go Parabolic This Summer? on: May 23, 2023, 11:23:26 PM
It might get a short term surge but nothing serious. Nobody cares about Litecoin and nobody cares about its halving.
I am with you, a quick pump might be seen but that's not really going to pump that much after the halving. People are caring more with Bitcoin halving than of Litecoin halving.

It used to be important up until a few years ago but now its a as obsolete as every other altcoin.
It probably have became less interesting when Charlie has left the project but bagged a lot of profits and the twist is that he have told it to the public that he has sold most of his holdings and then left it.
1644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers understood the game on: May 23, 2023, 10:52:07 PM
I don't want to be the one to influence other people's choice, especially in sensitive matters, which is why I never invite people to gamble.
Just like me, you can decide to play on my gambling site, but not on my recommendation. Some people are irresponsible and quick to cast blames to someone who made a recommendation for them.
Me either, I don't want to influence people surrounding me to gamble. If they want to gamble, it's up to their terms but I don't want to be associated with any of them. That's their money and they can do whatever they want but coming to the point that I'm going to be their recruiter, not gonna happen.

In some cases, some who have never gambled or gambled so much have better understanding than some gamblers who have been gambling for long.
It's because they don't like to lose and they understand that once they're in, they probably can't get out anymore as they've seen this from the other gamblers so they don't want to imitate it.
1645  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Importance of entrepreneur in school curriculum on: May 23, 2023, 10:23:58 PM
Students should really be taught early on about entrepreneurship, because the only mistake that I have seen planted in the minds of students is that when you graduate from college, our dreams in life will be reached or fulfilled.
It is wrong to think like this in reality. This is not true, every year there are many who graduate from college but most of them are unemployed, only a few get a good job but it doesn't mean that the job is good they have reached the dream they want, of course not. Almost all those who succeed in life are business people who have businesses.
It's not about dreams being fulfilled but it's about finding the dream job that they're wanting. But when the reality sinks in to them, they don't want to be in the same job that does the same tasks everyday. Thus, there goes those that has taken risks and stepped up into another game which is entrepreneurship and started their own businesses. These people has got balls but not every business, they know that it's not going to be an easy path. There could even be more frustrations upon building it up rather than being employed and get assurance with those paychecks that they'll receive whether it's a weekly, bi-weekly or a monthly pay.
1646  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: May 23, 2023, 09:49:37 PM
I completely agree with you Ethereum is the future of the crypto industry, I believe that this cryptocurrency is the future on the planet,
I thought that everyone agrees that the future of crypto is within bitcoin. But in terms of altcoin shares then you can count on Ethereum.

but the price of course fluctuates and is not as great as that of bitcoin, but still the ether is the king of altcoins, because all possible payment transactions are involved on it for gas and also buterin will not let such a cryptocurrency die once, it’s not for nothing that he invented it
It is common that ETH is fluctuating because just as Bitcoin, ETH is also volatile and that makes it a good alternative for those who are looking another investment after Bitcoin. But before you invest on it, make yourself known that it's best to have Bitcoin before anything else including ETH.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Nigerian Father Rejects Son's Gambling Win on: May 23, 2023, 09:24:13 PM
Maybe there's more of the belief in spirituality or religion or the way the father was raised by his parents before. I can't blame the father as I've seen a lot of people that are the same as him. The thinking is that if the money was taken from a quick source then it will also be gone quickly.
But if I was him, he can spare his boy and take the money and use that for something better. However, it wasn't like that and his values are much stronger than the need of theirs. Sometimes, there's always a rule that can be exempted even if it's gonna take your pride. He should taken the money and tell his boy to never do that again.
1648  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 23, 2023, 08:49:03 PM
But if you want to take some bets, no one's gonna stop you and you can just do it over and over again until the season comes back. It's still gonna take a lot of time and months until we see the regular ones. So out of boredom and as long as you're wanting to bet for some PBA games, you're good but you expect the unexpected with these games and as per results of it.

Same with regular season shit can still happen but in this kind of tour games maybe if you have some spare and you are okay taking the big risk, taking the underdog may give you some decent benefits. Though like what you have said out of boredom or if you feel lucky and you want to take that chance, betting on this kind of some sort of exhibition match might do for you.

Gambling always attaches with both luck and risk. It's up to you if you are willing to take your shots.
Speaking of tour games, the Ginebra won't be participating for some specific players certainly with Scottie, Japeth, and their coach Tim Cone. And that is because of their preparation for the FIBA world cup. It's a good move made by Ginebra's management.

Nothing else but more on the side of a gambler's instinct when picking which team to bet with or whatever kind of bets you'll going to pick here.
I would not do this, a bit too risky. There are tons of sports to bet on so I do not think it is boredom. But to each his own.

I just bet on NBA, WNBA, or esports events while waiting for the regular season in PBA.
Yeah, whatever you think is gonna make you have a good outcome bet for it. But for now, with these tour games, I'm a bit off with them.
1649  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: May 23, 2023, 07:54:50 PM
A side job or business of course aims to increase income, I also do side jobs because I have a lot of free time, work in the office 5 days a week of course we still have 2 days, I use it to farm vegetables and earn income on the internet with many things I tried including following the bounty on this forum.

But all off  your hardwork like doing all of you hussle are you now financial free ? Because you work a lot and you ain't saying your stressed or you dont have enough sleep because myself i do only have 1 side hustle and full-time job but i dont have enough sleep and been busy all the time but I think its because i do have family now to take care and needed to attend to but I would still day that i dont have financial freedom on my end
I think it's about being stable and not being financially free but he might be there someday by doing all of these activities he's got. Someday he'll be able to see the results of it and he'll not regret farming and planting while he's got free time. And if someone is able to do all of these things all at ones, he's good at managing time. There are those people that can manage their times properly and can do a lot of activities and waste not those free times that they have.
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not be pulled by the hype of meme coins on: May 23, 2023, 07:15:50 PM
That's right for these meme coins, it can be profitable for those actual early comers but not those that have been too late for the hype. That's why there are winners and losers on this one because the winners have to eat up the money of those losers and the late ones.
We can't change the minds of those that have been brought up by the hype of these meme coins because they think that it's the only one that can make them rich. But if the time comes and they're the ones who are losing their money, soon, they might realize that everyone who's talking like this are correct.
1651  Local / Pilipinas / Re: [13th Anniv] Bitcoin Pizza Day 2023 on: May 23, 2023, 11:41:06 AM
1653  Other / Politics & Society / Re: All bad - like the main one? on: May 22, 2023, 10:55:43 PM
It's like from the flocks just as the animals, it's like an instinct wherein whatever the others do to the others, we'll just go ahead and follow what does the flocks do to them.

People of the same character usually roll together and normally for you to be under someone and be loyal to them as your leader you must share some characteristics with them or agree to some of their ideologies.
That's right, if a leader is being treated well and then you're seeing people respecting him. You want to get respected as well so, you'll just do what he's doing and that's why you'll also earn the respect that he's earning. It was like being a role model just as parents to kids and vice versa. We do have a point of view where it differs from person to person depending on the culture where we're living. And in this society, if people have been treating someone badly, there's a reason for it. For that, the person should realize and understand that there's something wrong with him and not the society but it can also be the opposite wherein that view has been passed on from person to person even without defending the badly treated person and these people have just relied on hearsays.

1654  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Earning online more preferable than offline? on: May 22, 2023, 10:24:15 PM
I think we have reached the time when working offline is not giving us satisfying compensation anymore.
This isn't for all but there are still specific jobs that are paying well but the competition there is tough and entry levels are only paid barely with that. Still, there's the satisfaction of a worker whether he gets paid a little but then enjoys the work that he's got.

And with the emergence of online trading and investing, a lot of people have start taking the risk, some have become successful, some have end up as epic failure. So trading is not really profitable all the time. That’s the reason why we still need to land a decent job offline and still try to make it work in trading knowing that it has also some great potentials to make us profitable when we’re lucky and skilled in our endeavor.
Yeah, it is not what people are thinking at all times. Although there are certainly winners and losers on these markets, those that like to invest and trade should support it through having a job where they can have spare money to fund their trading accounts. Whether it's an offline or online job but usually, we know that remote workers are not just remote workers but they're also investors and traders of their own that does their thing together as they work with their main remote jobs.
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: May 22, 2023, 09:53:16 PM
I'd avoid games until the end of this pre-season. But anyway, nice win for the Bossing. It's still quite far for the next season but with this, since we don't have games yet.
If you are for the betting with these matches then we've got no option but I'll choose not to be with these games since it's hard to have teams determined knowing that these are just preseason games. Anyway, with such a win of Bossing, I'm not used to see them win at these preseason but then hopefully this is just the start and sign that they'll do better next season.

Yeah it's too risky betting with pre-season as coaches is very unpredictable if they will use their star players or whatever the game plan it might be, it's something that we need to anticipate if we want to continue taking that big risk, but like what happen here Bossing is not quite good when regular season so maybe a good potential profits for those who take this pick.
It's like just to comply with the rules of PBA that they should play some tour games from any part of the country. So it's just a tour game that nobody knows if these players are serious about it since it's just gonna be a stat for them but the games aren't really counted as per regular season thus, it's a preseason of games.

Nothing else but more on the side of a gambler's instinct when picking which team to bet with or whatever kind of bets you'll going to pick here.
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT OR MEMES on: May 22, 2023, 09:23:26 PM
NFT made by AI?
But if you're so serious with your money and you want to take care of it, I would say that you invest in the coins or projects that you have been thinking of investing in and you did spend time researching. Not just with any chant that has been pushed by anyone and it seems there's pressure on you just because they're making you choose from the choices they've given. For most of the NFTs, they're collectibles and the value usually goes down after the bull run whilst for the meme coins, you don't expect them to go along with the trend of the market and they've got their own trend that's being set by its community.
1657  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: May 22, 2023, 06:31:43 PM
A businessman will estimate the possible profits that can be achieved every year if they have high capital to build a potential business, so they decide to use a loan to increase business capital and all risks from the loan have been considered if the prediction of business development is not as expected, they must save a reserve fund to pay off the loan time.
All businessmen know that, they need to allocate some reserve fund if ever the business fails. But that's also what they do to make the business operational and bigger and that's through borrowed funds. So, just in case the business succeeds, it all came from loan money that will get paid by the operations of the business. And in short, there's no cash that these businessmen have pulled out from their pockets.

So I agree that if borrowed funds are used to open up business opportunities, don't use borrowed funds for gambling and drugs.
It should always been the case, borrowed funds for operational business and not with gambling and other activities that may cause addiction.
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 22, 2023, 05:50:31 PM
You could see the Celtics give up in that game vs the Heat. I think they lose the next one and call it a year. For some reason I haven’t counted the Lakers out yet, but after what I saw tonight the Celtics are as good as done for the year.
That's much like it is. They've already accepted that there's no way that they can beat the Heat for the next upcoming games and they'll just have to render that one last game for them. They've done enough and Heat is the better team than the team and on the other side, it was Denver that's the better team than the Lakers. It's okay to call it a day for this year and they'll just have to set themselves back and better for the next season, they've reached quite far on this season's journey unlike the other teams that haven't made it far, and those that have been eliminated too early.

Quite possible the Lakers only have one game left this year though so don’t miss it tomorrow.
The majority don't want to miss that possible last game for Lakers.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Cardano still a good investment? on: May 22, 2023, 05:19:50 PM
Advice :- If you do not know what you are investing just keep away from it.

Instead of cardano just look at ARB, SUI, BNB

Never heard of them so will stay clear of them too.

Well I know BNB but not a fan.
ARB and SUI are still new, you'll never know if by the next bull run they'll also be that high because, upon their launching, they're already high.

I am looking to add one more Crypto to my portfolio and thinking Cardano but wondering how high this can really go during the next bull run.

I am looking for a 10x minimum between now and bull run and the current price is £0.29 with a £10billion market cap - the chances of Cardano doing a 10x next bull run are likely right?

I do not know too much about Cardano just that it is current top 10 and many rave about it, would be good to hear thoughts on this both good and bad.
Cardano(ADA) is still a rock on this market and what that means to me is like solid. But this is from a perspective without having a deep look on its roots and whatever is happening there already. It's just solid numbers looking at tracker websites like CMC. But if that's your basis of choosing it as it might multiply by 10x, no one knows.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you love and enjoy taking risk? on: May 22, 2023, 11:49:57 AM
I am risking what I can afford to lose for the last few months. It's not much but I am pretty sure it will come back pretty good in a few years.
The era of making money on the way up is over until the next cycle.
As long as you did the initiative of taking a risk with the amount you can afford to lose and that's more than enough. While the others don't like to take risk and they're always scared to step on new things such as investing. And there are the others that have made it as a habit of taking risk even with those projects that they shouldn't take the risk of it. They just love it and it's fun for them so they're totally fine to lose whatever amount they're setting in for those projects.

As long as the projects I hold dont fail I don't care. Its an asset that i own. Time will tell if the bets were good.
You can assume that but you don't have the fate of these projects on your hands.
