To be honest here, I have no idea how ETH isn't collapsing as people move their ETH to BTC or fiat or gold or whatever. I mean, how come people has still thousands of BTC on the ETH market? I have no idea beyond thinking marketing is a very powerful thing to raise the price of an asset.
I mean fuck, who believes in ETH long term after Vitalik Buterin told exchanges to stop trading to stop panic selling? I think this fact alone makes ETH something you can't trust.
Im waiting for Rootstock to see if it can replace ETH, but for now I would stay cautious with smart contracts stuff.
I completely agree! Eth has proven a. people don't understand the smart contract they're "investing" in and b. Eth is not reliable. It has also proven that a slick presentation, slick website, and slick creator can get very rich if enough people want to get in hoping to get rich too. Bitcoin got populair without all this. It didn't need slick advertising. |

I'm all in BTC now, I expect more dumping, then a huge pump prior to the Halvening, after that I don't really know what will happen, if miners go out of business it may be the end of Bitcoin for real. I think Ethereum only survived this disaster (for now) because of the miners support, it should be $4-5 or even less.
What makes you say that? If miners go out of business, other miners take over. Difficulty can go down again if not enough blocks are found. Miners are just competing to find blocks, there is no reason for all of the to quit at the same time. |

Using an address while someone else has the private key is not recommended. And if that someone is someone you don't know at all, it's just dumb. http://directory.io/ gives you all Bitcoin private keys. For free. And their FAQ says: "I log and steal everything." If you want a lot of adresses for some reason, go to Bitaddress.org, click Bulk Wallet, and generate them. If you want it faster, get vanitygen, do: vanitygen -k 1 -o alotofaddresses -q I just got 15000 in a few seconds. |

Everyone's excited for the halving event happening around July. Everyone's saving hoping that the price will skyrocket after it.
But what if prices crash down instead? what would you do?
Bitcoin value already crashed down in the past week. It will go up again, and it will crash again. With or without halving, this will happen. You just don't know when. The only thing you know for sure, is that the supply of new Bitcoins gets lower after the halving. But the newly mined coins are not instantly sold by the miners. Try this: Go to Blockchain.info, click the last blocks, and check where the newly mined coins went. These are the balances: 431.10594346 BTC, 3,340.45052123 BTC, 75.87021485 BTC and 3,366.68709321 BTC. Miners are in no rush now to sell their Bitcoins. And if they're not instantly selling now, the amount they sell will not instantly go down after the halving. I think the halving is hyped. Everybody expects the price to go up, leading to the price going up. At the last halving, nothing happened until the price exploded months later. So either way, nothing changes for me. I sell when I like the price, or I keep holding until I like the price. And I don't mind holding for years. |

Seems less like a partnership and more like Coinbase will just send you Paypal funds if you request it. Notice that you cannot buy bitcoin with Paypal, which makes me think there really isn't a partnership going on, but instead just an agreement that they will let you cash out large sums if necessary.
Coinsbase doesn't want the risk of creditcard fraud when you buy with Paypal. If they are the sending party and Coinbase is trusted, it is safe for both parties. If they would allow you to buy Bitcoin with Paypal, they would make creditcard fraud very easy, and they would end up paying for it. |

This sentence isn't accurate, it didn't turned to be a scam, it is a scam from the beginning, in fact every ''cloud mining'' service is a scam until it shows a valid proofs of mining activities (even with that it may collapse at any moment)
Try to look at this from a miner's perspective: why would a miner need you? He has his mining rigs, makes a nice profit, why would he go through all the hassle to create a website, give away free hashing power, and share his profit with you? This should explain why real miners don't sell cloud mining contracts. The ones that do sell this aren't miners, they're running a ponzi scheme. They need new money to pay the old "profit", and as long as more money flows in than out they're good. The moment the inflow is lower than the outflow, they take their profit and disappear. This has happened over and over again, and still people are "investing" in cloud mining. |
