2661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: July 13, 2021, 10:34:10 AM
Transfer rumours:

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel wants club chiefs to make an "immediate" move to sign Norway striker Erling Braut Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, but the German club are planning to still have him at the Westfalenstadion next season as they are demanding 175m euros (£150m) for the 20-year-old this summer.

Today a big german newspaper reported that Roman Abramovich personally approved the transfer fee of €175 million demanded by borussia dortmund for the transfer of Erling Haaland. If this is true than Dortmund would get the money that they have asked for and they basically have to let Haaland move on to chelsea if they stick to their word. I personally think that the executives of Dortmund did not expect any club to really pay 175M€ for Haaland and therefore asked for that huge amount of money so he plays for another year in Dortmund. The question is, if Haaland really wants to go to Chelsea. I mean they won the CL last season but other clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona still have a bigger name.
2662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: USDT has broken the buck, once Tether goes to zero so does the real value of BTC on: July 13, 2021, 10:24:57 AM
Well as people have been saying for months, Tether is crap, and the entire price of all crypto is traded in Tether, which just happens to have a CAP of $63Billion USD, but only has $2B of real assets ( aka cash )

So right now they just lost $3B ( now $60B ) that means if the first to leave already got their 'cash', then there is no cash left for the bag-holders ( HODLer's )

There was always a lot of speculation and discussions going on about Tether since 2019 when they changed their wording from "every USDT is backed by a real USD" to "we have enough reserves to back every USDT with a real USD". I think that this change of wording really is a reason to be worried because the audits that bitfinex as the parent company of tether is presenting to prove that every USDT is still back 1:1 by a real dollar are not living up to traditional auditing standards.
What you are saying though that they only have 2B$ worth of assets but have 63B$ worth of UDST circulating would be extremly worrying if these would really turn out to be true.
I also switched from using USDT to USDC a while ago.
2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 13, 2021, 08:50:52 AM
If we look at the statistics, it was a tournament with plenty of goals.  There were also surprising results.  Switzerland eliminated France.  Nobody expected this.  France was considered one of the finalists.  I think Patrick Schick scored the best goal of the tournament.  A great goal from midfield.  I think the good players in the tournament were Schick, Donnarumma, Spinnazola, Ronaldo, De Bruyne, Chiellini, Harry Kane.

The worst team was Turkey. Turkey showed a good image before the tournament, scoring only 1 goal and left the tournament with 0 points.  Their coach Güneş, on the other hand, did not give the right to the 3.2 million € money he received.

I am also surprised that we saw that many goals. Before the tournament started i thought that the current playstyle of football has changed from doing extremely high offensive pressing, which is of course also a very dangerous and risky thing to do because every mistake you make will generate a big opportunity for the opponent, to a more defensive playstyle where teams are not risking that much anymore. France managed to win the World Cup in 2018 with this kind of football, so i thought more teams would follow their example. To make this strategy work you also need the right players of course and France has probably the best player for that with Mbappe because he is just so insanely fast.
Italy played a more dominant football again in this tournament which was also great to watch as a spectator therefore i am very happy that they won the cup.
2664  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: investment and loss anticipation on: July 13, 2021, 08:41:42 AM
Talking about cryptocurrencies, of course, it doesn't rule out investing or stocks, in this case, of course we have to be careful in investing because investing also contains risks. The risk here is to lose funds or other assets when the investment does not live up to expectations or even fails. Yes, it is true that we cannot invest and then only expect profits without understanding the risk of loss, but to warn of all possible losses, what steps should we take?

My approach for investments into cryptos have always been, that i only invest an amount of money that i can afford to lose completely without having any impact on my normal daily life whatsoever. I mainly invest small amounts into presales of new projects and as we probably all know in here that risk that is associated with that is pretty high. Some of those projects never deliver a finished and working product some of them may even be a rugpull and even when they deliver those small and and new projects always suffer the most during a bear market in which we are right now. My portfolio is down 90% compared to the beginning of may. Thank god i only invest money that i can afford to lose.  Smiley

IT'S COMING ROME  Grin.

The game was dominated in the second half, then they broke Chiesa and the game was equilibrated again.

Donnarumma saver 3 penalties and gg. We are winners.

Congratulations to Italy, they were the best team over the whole tournament and definitely deserved to be in the final as they had very hard opponents in the round before. To beat England in a Final at wembley in front of 60.000k english fans was really a great achievement from them. I also have to say Donnarumma is a real class act. He just stood there on the line waiting for the penalty and did no crazy jumping around or talking to the players like Pickford did. Pickford was probably the worst goalkeeper of the tournament and England did a great job to reach the finals despite having him as goalie.
Football is coming rome.  Smiley
2666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China says no to miners mean something else on: July 11, 2021, 04:35:02 PM
I also don't fully understand the meaning of the Chinese government's ban on Bitcoin and miners. is it possible that the Chinese government will make its own mining "state-owned enterprise"? just like when the Chinese government banned Bitcoin and then planned to create their own digital currency.

I guess the decision to ban mining operations in china have the pretty simple reason. It is a political decision to reduce or completely eliminate "superfluous" energy consumption for the sake of the environment. This is simply the current zeitgeist and from the Chinese government's point of view, it makes perfect sense to pass such a law.  All environmentalists welcome this decision, but at the same time it is of course a setback for cryptos in China as a whole. Everyone knows that the Chinese government has always had a rather negative attitude towards cryptos and has already passed several laws that make the use of cryptos more difficult or hinder it.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 11, 2021, 10:01:38 AM
Who's watching Dustin Poirier VS Conor McGregor ? a little disappointed, fight had to stop when McGregor injured his leg and Poirier as the winner
I think this fight will be repeated next year or in the near future because it's unsatisfactory can't watch the actual fight.

I did not see the fight live but when i woke up today i already had the notifications on my phone about McGregors fractured leg. The picture really does look horrible and of course it is sad for the fans that the fight had to be stopped in the first round already. It's probably also very annoying for the UFC i guess because they hyped up this fight for weeks now and then we get this unsatisfying result. At least they have a chance and a reason now to go for a fourth fight between those two because McGregor already told Poirier that he is not done with him, so he already started the marketing again  Smiley. The fracture seems to be not to bad as it was already put in place in the ring already and i am pretty sure that McGregor can fight again next year.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you invest in Cosmos (ATOM)? on: July 11, 2021, 09:56:10 AM
I've been looking at this coin for a long time
http://cosmos.network/
https://messari.io/asset/cosmos
This is one of the ecosystems that will compete with Ethereum and Polcadot.
The price of the coin is not the best for purchases, but I plan to start investing at a price of less than $ 9

Cosmos is definitely a great project and i am pretty sure that their ecosystem will continue to grow and will still be around in 5 or more years as an alternative to Ethereum, Polkadot and others as you already said. So if you are a long term investor then cosmos can definitely be an option for you. Plus it also have nice staking options which give you a little passive income as a little bonus on top. I personally don't own any Cosmos because i just missed the train back then and i can't get myself to invest into a project that already did a x10 or a x20 because i always feel that i am too late then to have the chance for really life changing profits. If the price drops to below 10$ or even below 5$ then i definitely will buy some cosmos.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Esports Prediction & Discussion Thread on: July 10, 2021, 12:59:31 PM
Tundra really deserves to play at TI after they 2-0 OG in the winners finals.

Now , the losers finals just began and we have again OG vs NIGMA and this time things might go on the other way and make Nigma win and also the chance to play Tundra. But to be honest...I think China have the best teams of dota right now.

I watched the CN qualifiers grand final of Ehome vs. Elephant until the series of OG vs. Team Nigma started and i have to say that Ehome vs. Elephant was really great to watch because the teamfight execution of both teams is just so well done and thought through. Whenever i play the teamfights last like 20 seconds until a team is totally dead but with those teams those fights lasts for 1 or 2 mins maybe because of all the saves and items they use.  Smiley
Now i am watching OG vs. Nigma and i have to say those series looks just as skillful as the one from China so i think the Top Teams of EU are still on level with the top teams of china, maybe PSG.LGD is still a little ahead of everyone else.
2670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Nigeria To Launch Digital Currency on: July 10, 2021, 12:52:15 PM
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Godwin Emefiele, has revealed that Nigeria will launch a digital currency. With this, Nigeria tracks other nations which plan or have launched digital currencies. China is expected to roll out the e-yuan, its digital currency, at scale, later in the year. The United States has also started work on e-dollars.

I am not really sure if those kind of digital currencies are good or bad for traditional and "real" cryptocurrencies because in the end those e-yuan, e-dollars and those currency in nigeria are just digital versions with the same value of the normal FIAT currencies. So i don't see much difference between those "new" digital currencies and normal FIAT currencies that you spend with credit card or via bank transfer.
If every country now start to introduce completely digital versions of their normal currencies i think that can be bad for cryptocurrencies because they may not be needed and wanted anymore by average citizens. Of course those digital currencies are just as centralized as their traditional pendants so if you want real centralization you have to use real cryptos.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 10, 2021, 10:30:26 AM
Previously I thought Italy might still be able to win in the final match later, but after I realized the English team that seemed to have a stronger defense and also, I just realized that England now looks stronger in every line. Also, with the full support of playing at home then I think England will really be champions this time around, considering the aging Italian defender who looks likely to be overwhelmed by England's attacks.

Throughout the entire tournament, Italy has impressed but England seems to grow stronger every match. My bet is on Italy so I really need them to win, but I think you're right. Home advantage after a season of Corona and no crowds, it's going to be a really really tough atmosphere for the Italians.

Chiellini can handle Sterling but not Kane I guess.

I agree that it is a huge advantage for England that they play in wembley and in front of 60.000 fans where probably at least 90% will cheer for the English team. Especially after the long corona break in terms of audience that can be a bigger advantage as it would normally be. I don't agree though that England was looking stronger every match. They could have easily been eliminated in the match against Germany because that match was pretty close and in the last match against Denmark they needed a penalty which wasn't even a real foul and therefore should have been taken back by the video referee, to advance.
Italy also had a tough and close match in the semi-final but that was against Spain which is an excellent team. So i don't think that England is the favorite in the final.
2672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where Are You Next 5 Years? on: July 10, 2021, 10:25:03 AM
Hey.

You Think What Is Your Placement In The Crypto Currency In The Next 5 Years?

How Many Money You Earned That Time?

And What Do You Want To Do With Your Earning? Cool

I hope that we will see at least 1 more real bullrun with new ATH's even for most small cap altcoins within the next 5 years. I did not cash out during the 2017/2018 bullrun because i was still very new back then and i did not really know what to expect. Then in the last bullrun my portfolio also had a pretty high value for a few weeks but again i did not cash out this time because of tax reasons i would have had to pay taxes on all the profit because i did not hold the coins for at least 1 year and to be honest even now that my portfolio hast lost 90% of it's value i still don't regret that decision because that kind of tax should not exist in the first place in my opinion.

So in the next bullrun i will definitely cash out some of my holdings if they are still worth anything then.

According to L'equipe PSG is preparing an offer for Pogba from Manchester United.  Roll Eyes

Around 60m€ cash.

It's almost a tradition by now that every player that is well known and popular gets connected to a transfer to PSG. Most of these rumours ultimately turn out to be false, because not even PSG can't buy every interesting player on the market and most players still would prefer to go to clubs like Real Madrid or Barcelona instead of PSG because of the reputation.
I read today that Pogba may join Real Madrid and therefore Manchester United is looking to sign Leon Goretzka from Bayern Munich. It is said that Goreztka's contract extension in Munich is stalling because the player and the club are quite far apart in terms of salary.
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bankers staking ETH 2.0? on: July 09, 2021, 10:40:59 PM
Recently, a financial institution called "Sygnum Bank" announced the launch of ETH 2.0 staking. It's the first time a bank offers crypto services to its customers (as far as I'm aware).

What are your thoughts? Do you think banks adoption of ETH will harm the decentralization of the blockchain in the long run? If not, why? Is going full PoS a bad idea for Ethereum? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

I never heard of the sygnum bank before it seems to be a relatively small swiss bank with a focus on digital assets. It would make sense though also for more traditional and conservative banks to offer ETH Staking as a financial product to their customers, because they can offer the customers fixed interests of around 4-5% and they can keep the rest of the earned interests as fee. It also makes sense for the customers because if you stake your ETH on a exchange and that exchange gets hacked or was a scam then your money is lost. If you stake your ETH in a real bank than your funds are insured trough the bank.
I don't really think that i will have a huge impact on the decentralization of ETH because ETH is just too big already that 1 Bank can accumulate such a big amount of Staked ETH that they can somehow influence the whole network.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESPORTS - predictions and tips (Dota 2, CS:GO, LoL) on: July 09, 2021, 12:11:27 PM

1 down for OG after taking down Vikin.gg for a 2-1 victory. There next game is against Nigma which is the biggest threat for them to get the TI slot. If they can beat Nigma tomorrow with an easy victory, I believe the winner on Tundra vs Liquid is just an easy peasy for them. It's good to see Sumail 100% relying now on his teammates. OG just need to clean there drops and avoid a messy drop like they did on Game 1.

OG rally managed to defeat Nigma 2-1 yesterday in a really great series to watch. It's not really surprising that OG are still the favorite team for a lot of people even though they were under performing recently, but they are just very entertaining to watch with drafts that are totally unexpected that are also involving non meta heroes like for example the pick of Chen yesterday. In the 3rd match of the series there were some deciding group fights that OG should have lost but somehow they managed to win them and therefore gain a lead and win the match and the series in the end. That really reminded me of the OG Team of the past years...
2676  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will The Sorrow of BTC Be The Pleasure of Altcoins? on: July 09, 2021, 12:03:23 PM

Relating this to cryptocurrency, if BTC who is the mother of Cryptocurrencies and who has gained extensive trust ceases to exist today, will altcoins flourish or will it make the people loose total interest in cryptocurrency.

I personally think that we have so many good crypto projects out there now that even if Bitcoin should fail for whatever reason (flaw in the code if that is possible or some other kind of hack or 51% attack or whatever) those projects could still thrive or maybe even grow, but i don't really think that this would happen. Just imagine Bitcoin suddenly "dies" with it's price going to 0 pretty fast, that would mean that 615B$ would be pretty much gone in an instant and i am pretty sure that those people that lost everything because of bitcoin would use their cash savings ever again to invest into any form of cryptocurrency even if they have nothing to do with bitcoin.
2677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Radix DLT | claim with your private key (MEW). safe or not? on: July 08, 2021, 06:25:28 PM
project name: Radix DLT
launched on July 24, 2020
Project duration: 12 weeks
bounty thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5264387.0

To get a bounty reward, participants have to do KYC verification and they also say (Bounty tokens will be distributed 1 year after the initial registration date of posting.)
and today their team informs that distribution is in progress, it's just that there's a problem that doesn't make sense to me. such as requiring campaign participants to claim $ERADIX coins via your MEW wallet key.

list of accepted ETH addresses: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1epoC6u5RG8X4vGmEOSKhtlulgOWd99JQgVAD9ievoJ0/edit#gid=0

link to claim coins: https://radixdlt-rewards-programs-claims-erc20-token.com/myetherwallet/invalid-access-my-wallet/#/input-privatekey-mnemonic-phrase-claim-bonus

what do you think, about the distribution of coin projects that require participants to access using your MEW wallet key?

Hi there,

I was part of that bounty and i just checked the official bounty telegram group and also the official telegram channel. The link to the spreadsheet that you posted is the correct one that is also accessible in the Telegram Bounty channel.
That link to claim the coins though is definitely not a legit one and 100% a SCAM. DON'T USE THAT LINK. So that link is definitely not from the official Radix Team.

So it's definitely a scam. I have to admit it is one of the more clever scams out there. They took the official Spreadsheet link that is available on the bounty channel and therefore everyone that is on that list may be  tempted to think that it really is legit.
For your Interest: all the Bounty-Tokens are on that address: https://etherscan.io/address/0xc561d5c5cb8fcc75f6cc25cb64a86d383a5f5be9#tokentxns and will be distributed to the addresses on november 17th so you don't need to claim.
2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk accidentally created a new cryptocurrency. WTF? on: July 08, 2021, 06:12:30 PM

The founder of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, again stirred up the cryptocurrency market on Friday, leaving a seemingly harmless message about his new dog.

He said that he chose a nickname for his Shiba Inu puppy. His name will be Floki. In early May, Elon Musk first announced that he intends to take a Shiba Inu puppy. Then the cost of the Shiba Inu cryptocurrency increased by 68% in an hour.

After Friday's announcement by Musk, the Shiba Inu exchange rate increased by 26%, but later corrected. However, another thing is more interesting: 9 minutes after the appearance of Musk's post on Twitter, the Floki token was created on the decentralized Uniswap crypto exchange. Within an hour, its price increased by 795%, to $0.000000001100. As a result, the growth was about 3500%.

Do you think this is another attempt to influence the crypto market? Will the project be eco-friendly, because in the case of chia, everything was not so positive? There are already green projects on the market, for example, Crypton , for mining which only needs Internet access and a PC.

Is all the excitement around the project really a hype? Like chiahype and etc.?

I don't think that is an attempt to influence the crypto market. I think it was just somebody that saw the tweet of Elon Musk and once he saw the name of his dog then he immediately created that Floki token. That whole meme-coin thing gets really out of hand now. I thought the hype would die out but so far it sticks around.
I really like cryptos but stuff like this almost makes me want to beg for a huge bear market now with a 90% drop or more, even though it means i am personally in a huge loss. People are really just aping in in no matter what sh't token with absolutely no use-case. I am pretty sure all those meme-coins are also a big factor for the current negative market sentiment, because no one can take a market like that seriously.
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA EURO 2020 Discussion Thread | Current Phase: Finals in June 2021! on: July 08, 2021, 04:40:11 PM
Cristiano Ronaldo the top scorers at EURO 2020 so far, and leads the Golden Boot race. If Harry Kane shows another great performance at EURO 2020 Final overall math could be changed. He has been in great form since the start of this tournament. I would like to see Cristiano Ronaldo as player of the tournament and Harry Kane as Golden boot winners.

Harry Kane was not in great form since the start of the tournament. If i remember correctly he scored his first goal of this tournament against Germany in the round of the last 16 and even in that match he had the opportunity to score before but it took him until the 88th minutes and a counter attack  to score. Also germany was already risking everything in that phase because they desperately needed a goal and England had a lot of room for attacking at that point. He scored two goals against Ukraine and one of them was the first goal so that was very important of course. In the match against denmark he scored with a penalty that he actually missed but he was lucky enough that the ball came back to him.
I still think that Schick would have deserved the golden boot but he is already behind Ronaldo with his 3 penalty goals.

The game is almost done and we are going for Italy England with England playing at home, not so good for Italy.

10ish minutes left need a miracle for Denmark.

The miracle did not happen, even though a miracle wasn't even needed because England was just 1 goal up so it would not have been that big of an upset if we would have seen another penalty shootout today. Overall the victory for England was deserved, but still unlucky for Denmark if that makes any sense  Smiley. Denmark was better until they scored the first goal which was absolutely deserved at that moment but that was kind of a wake up kiss for England and from that point on England was the dominating and better team.
I think though that i was a wrong decision to give that penalty to England an i am pretty sure that in 9 out of 10 cases you won't get a penalty for such a small touch. Then the keeper even saved the penalty but could not save the second shot, that's what i meant with unlucky Danes. Now in the overtime the Danes were completely out of breath.
Congratulations to England though.  Smiley
