2661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mintable ERC20 tokens on: June 26, 2021, 03:40:42 AM
Mintable ERC20 tokens means the owner of the ERC20 could add new tokens to the total supply (increasing total supply) as they want. there's minting function in the smart contract that allows the owner to mint new tokens and most of them usually use that.
check this code if you're curious about how the contract works, https://forum.openzeppelin.com/t/request-example-of-a-mintable-and-pausable-erc20-token/2132
2662  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: China Has Ordered All Financial Institutions To Cut Crypto -Related Services on: June 26, 2021, 02:49:09 AM
They literally keep repeating the same thing over and over again to FUD the market, remember that they keep saying they gonna ban crypto every year and preventing institutions form dealing with crypto like from few years ago and you can see people over china still be able to use cryptocurrency freely.
I think at this point people should learn to just ignore china's statement against crypto, they can prevent crypto from flourishing in their country as they want, people just gonna move over using overseas service etc.
2663  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: June 26, 2021, 01:42:58 AM
It's the same as like every other market. Where there's a way for speculation there's also a way to manipulate the market by the big capital holders, the more unregulated it is, the more ways for the market to be manipulated. The most important thing is, instead of focusing on that we should be more focused on analyzing what kind of movement
the whales gonna take next time and it's usually have something to do with affecting the market player psychology.

2665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Musk say's he'll re-invest in BTC when +50% of ASIC miners are GREEN on: June 20, 2021, 08:32:43 AM
Elon Musk will go to the moon to live and someone else will run TESLA. I want it to happen faster. GM motor and other automakers already accept Bitcoin as payment.
The reason that Elon gives for accepting Bitcoin is manipulation and we all know that electricity comes from hydroelectricity. It's just a form of power transferred from the water, just like the sun and the wind. Elon Musk is trying to be devious in this case, and I don't see the reason for that.
Doubt elon gonna live in the moon, it's just unhabitable. Not to mention even if he really live on the moon he pretty sure have a way to somewhat manage tesla from a far because you know, he might've deployed interplanetary network connection by the time he could build something in the moon but that's very unlikely scenario.
To be honest though, if people stop making tesla as if it's the holy grail of the electric automobile we wouldn't even care whether tesla gonna adopt bitcoin or not.
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador to revoke Bitcoin as legal tender? on: June 20, 2021, 07:47:51 AM
Even if they did it won't dent the market forever. if they truly want to revoke because of external pressure then it's better to do it now but if turns out el salvador could keep bitcoin as their legal tender then maybe other countries that are insterested in it gonna follow.
but I doubt the politician there gonna do that because revoking thing after approving almost immediately just come to show that they are not really good in making decision.

2667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miami’s mayor looks to woo Chinese bitcoin miners on: June 20, 2021, 06:03:42 AM
-snip-
Dude, maybe you want to fix your typing since your post is really hard to read, at least for me. Anyway, the electricity price has been mentioned above and there are a lot of users who claim that it is not cheap enough. If that's true, I doubt the majority of the miners would move there, even if they're protected by the law.
depends on how much profit the miners could make, if it could make at least 80% of their former profit when still residing in china then maybe that's doable but is it really big deal though when the hash power decreases due to china's crackdown of miners?
Back then people keep saying that bitcoin is too centralized since the mining power mostly coming from china, now that's not happening anymore and people are worrying about it although the mining difficulty dynamically changes based on the available hash power if I recall correctly.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT hype is over, next hype please on: June 19, 2021, 09:41:03 AM

yes like every platform this one has a big potential and i can wait to see my holding climbing to more than 3 folds at least.
i think it's not difficult for you to get the lowest profit x3, the last drop of the market had a lot of NFT coins falling sharply and i see it as a good opportunity to accumulate more favorite coins.
Yes, it's really good to take the opportunity now to collect some NFT coins, because usually after the decline, there is always a big increase and the late ones won't get anything and will always regret it.
must remember that nft is different to erc20, each nft is unique and the price usually based on each NFT as an individual coin not based on the general price of a coin like erc20 or even real cryptocurrency.
therefore buying nft at the dip could be risky if you can't really judge the real value of an NFT.
however if it's generic NFT like for example slp of axie then maybe it's still profitable to buy around the dip, otherwise nft is just a harder option to make some flipping.
2669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High discount in presale on: June 19, 2021, 06:45:54 AM
Is 75$ discount in presale of a project way too high? What do you think will happen to such project giving away too high discount for a presale? Will this cos huge dump or you've seen projects that survives after such massive discount

Most of the time, but still it's important to know more about the project's team as they will tell the reputation of the project as a whole. They are raising funds, giving a huge discount for early investors, but it's too risky at the same time so you deserve the reward if they succeed.

But like what I'm saying, most of the time it will dump when it's listed in the exchange, so DYOR, and good luck.

Exactly. Everyone who has been around during the ICO craze knows that 990 out of 1000 projects use these special early investor discounts to dump massively on investors who joined during later rounds. Also possible that they buy those coins themselves and then say there is the wallet from presale investors but in fact they sent their own money there to mislead others.
Nowadays most of IDO, IEO and ICO are locking the token for their early investor, tbh it's not really a problem anymore nowadays, if people willing to spend some time and read the tokenomic they could figure out which project actually aren't a game of who comes early.
ICO back few years ago was such unrefined method of fundraising, now it's getting more better and better in guaranteeing the safety of investor from such thing.
2670  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can the market build an immune system against meddling from influencer like Musk on: June 19, 2021, 04:20:30 AM
Of course it can but it all depends on the market players themselves, but definitely not completely immune against elon musk moreover if elon keep achieving great things that revolutionize the way human lives.
but, if people always figures out that either elon's shill and fud only temporarily affect the market no one gonna bats an eye anymore and his tweet become somewhat irrelevant, but remember there's always some people who trying to make profit off elon's tweet sentiment
making his influence becomes even greater like for example those bots that set buy order or sell order based on elon's sentiment through his tweet analyzation.
2671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Axie Infinity on: June 18, 2021, 06:11:15 AM
I think it's a bit late to invest in the game unless you are one of the daily grinders like what @Johnyz said. Those who built their account early in the game made tons of money and they still do. If you feel more adventurous, you can try newer blockchain games like mydefipet. It could become as big as Axie in a few months time.

On a side note, it's nice to see the game's impact on no-coiners.
yeah it reminds me of cryptokitties many kitties are priced really high back then and now maybe it has been decreasing in price however game like this that gives reward won't just go to zero in a matter of weeks.
Probably if we're late to the game, the ROI will take a lot longer, which could be a deal breaker for most of people so it's better to rethink again, not to mention there's many similar blockchain based games that gives reward nowadays.
2672  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Large exchanges contacting and offering us to list altcoin? on: June 18, 2021, 04:15:13 AM
dex already suffice, no need to rush if the exchange that gonna list you is not a popular enough exchange that could be a big opportunity for your project, not to mention some indicates that the person who contacted you seems fishy,
if you truly think your project deserve to get listed in a big centralized exchange then it's better for you to contact those exchanges directly through the available listing contact, but for most of the part, uniswap is already enough if there's many liquidity in there, almost everyone know how to use it.
2673  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Motors May Start Accepting Bitcoin If There's Customer Demand on: June 18, 2021, 03:32:59 AM
should just implement bitcoin payment method by partnering with crypto payment gateway provider, it's not like the volatility will be the biggest problem anyway since most of these payment gateway converts the crypto to USD at the time of receiving.
I doubt anyone gonna tell the company to accept bitcoin before they bought things from them since these customers could easily convert their crypto to fiat then buy instead of taking the long way of contacting the company to accept btc.
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding 5 years a just a imagination on: June 17, 2021, 06:45:12 AM
that's exactly why if you want to make a long term holding you better choose an underrated coin that have potential to become popular in the future. if you're just holding a coin that's already among the top #5 but have quite poor potential then it's the same as losing money.
Of course to judge which of coin have a high potential isn't an easy feat but usually if you invested in a coin at early phase with cheaper price its gonna increase the chance of making you profit in the future.
2675  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin, Dogecoin Gain After Musk's Tweets, But Will There Be Another Bull Run? on: June 17, 2021, 04:47:10 AM
His tweet just temporarily lift the market up but still a contributing factor to add more powerful resistance above $30000 in my opinion.
But, if the market is still rather bearish or the fear index still rather high, it's just hard to keep the market above $40000, as you know many new bitcoin investor are rather panicky and have a weak hand meanwhile the trading who did scalping also contributes to a harder of breakthrough beyond $40000, maybe we gonna see bullrun at the end of the year though all these just my opinion.
2676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why some millionaires hate Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2021, 02:58:10 AM
some people just too comfortable making profit using the traditional currency that they are used to, not to mention the people you mentioned are group of old men.
the thing is, some millionaire always have this some kind of belief that they follow, warren buffet rarely believe in digital goods or any digital service, the main reason why he bought tech based company stocks very late in the game.
tbh i've seen quite many millionaires favour crypto as well but most of them stays under the radar, it's just the media keep repeating fud from someone like warren buffet a lot more.
2677  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should i believe a person who said"my trust wallet get hacked" ? on: June 16, 2021, 06:45:49 AM
Some people that i see hacked in their Trustwallet, usually before it they connect their wallet into a site inside Trustwallet browser. I think because of that, now there are some sites that can help us disconnect our wallet from any kind of sites that we already connect to make our funds safe. So since there are many people get hacked in their Trustwallet, we can believe it and at least be careful about our wallet too.
doesn't to make a transaction it needs to be signed using private key though? I doubt the decentralized app inside trust wallet could retrieve the private key, no way they could access it using some kind of script but that's just as I remember correctly.
I think most of cases of wallet hacking like this due to exposure of the private key, maybe an app that was installed in the phone somehow get access to the private key stored in the phone.
2678  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will China's crackdown on Bitcoin cause Bitcoin to become worthless? on: June 16, 2021, 06:04:52 AM
If being worthless means the price go down to zero as if not even one soul in this planet value it anymore I doubt that, it will shake the market yes but even today they have cracked few mining facilities and the price instead going up again.
Elon's influence over the market seem to be bigger than china frankly speaking, this time around china's fud affect the market but not too much and their crackdown won't bring bitcoin market to its demise.
2679  Economy / Economics / Re: Is money the root of all evil as the poor to thinks? on: June 16, 2021, 04:34:55 AM
money is just a tool, it can't spend itself neither creates evil if the people who uses it doesn't do so. but honestly, most of people who think that money is source of evil think so because they have this scenario in mind where money is a tool specifically created by some faction to dominate the world economy (im talking about paper money).
However, we recently see a lot more consumtive lifestyle which are very money oriented and that maybe where these idea about how evil money is comes from, however we've been facing such issue ever since ages ago, it's just we have internet and all these things gets exposed and becomes a lot clearer for people to see.
2680  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any opinions about the "Stopelon" coin? on: June 15, 2021, 02:50:41 AM
Useless coin in my opinion, i'm pretty sure that although the coins states it hates elon clearly on its name but the people who hold it won't refuse if elon is to shill this coin making this coin pumped in price.
If you truly concerned of elon manipulation, try to report to the authority. Otherwise these kind of coin is another money grab for people who are vulnerable and think they could do something against elon through this coin.
