3621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Another PONZI scheme money frozen in bank account revealed on: October 06, 2019, 11:57:49 PM
This case is nothing compared to ponzi projects in China recently, when the market showed positive signs, the fraud also increased. dismantling hundreds of millions of dollars of BTC made BTC from $ 13k9 to $ 9k

For real? The Ponzi scheme that caused the price to go down from $13.000 to $9.000, Are you talking about $3 Billion Ponzi Scheme PlusToken?
is this https://www.financemagnates.com/cryptocurrency/news/3-billion-chinese-ponzi-scheme-is-dumping-btc-on-major-exchanges/?
or something else that I never heard of before? the news said it was $3 Billion, not hundreds of millions.
I thought the recent dump was caused because people were disappointed by Bakkt performance.

Cryptographic money worth $1.2 million that was seized from a Ponzi plot by Indian police can't be gotten to and came back to dazed financial specialists since Indian financial laws deny the treatment of virtual monetary forms.

Linke to full news
https://www.cryptoglobe.com/latest/2019/10/seized-ponzi-funds-remain-stuck-in-frozen-indian-bank-account/?amp=yes

They're able to seize it but not able to return it to its rightful owners because of the law. What an ironic, what is the point seizing it if they are not able to protect the interest.

The point should be to secure the funds from the scammers

the only possible thing why indian government doesn't even wanna create a deal with virtual crypto caused by it's so difficult to prove the ownership of such amount.

The participants of that ponzi scheme may come from various country. that needs more effort to do that and this is based on my opinion only.

The regulation should become another reason as you said.
3622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Iota Getting Faster and Therefore more usable. on: September 30, 2019, 03:41:06 PM
^ since we are talking about transaction speed, how about Syscoin's 60,000 TPS?

Syscoin can achieve over 60,000 transactions per second (TPS) with new Zero Confirmation tech, Z-DAG, from Blockchain Foundry. Much higher than its peers such as EOS and QTUM.

Assuming their claim were true, does this mean that Syscoin is more usable than IOTA, EOS, QTUM, and all other slower blockchains?
They are the same and can we use the scalability as a consideration to determine if that coin is usable or not?
Op was wrong about that even IOTA has upgraded its protocol and the usability of the token still remain the same and it's not a token with a lot of usefulness and only becomes a payment system that cost zero fees and this also happened with syscoin.

Remember this even some coins like credits has already published if that can achieve a hundred thousands of TPS.
Scalability without utility is something that becomes failed.

3623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Over 2000 Projects Reviewed – 640 have not published a single Code in 2019 on: September 30, 2019, 06:02:28 AM
The majority of coins that are live on coinmarketcap would disappear in 5 years, because they are suffering from lack of money, strategy and competent management. Besides, 70 percent of coins are not backed by a working product.
Lack of money is an old reason to leave from all of the responsibility of developers to the investors. This already happened since the ico trend has begun in the past.
Remember about the latest audit from some trusted parties and more than 80% of ICOs are scam icos or these icos have no competences to create products.
These scam icos have been selling the idea only even that's a nonsense idea.
3624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fusion Takes a Big Hit from Hackers. What's Next For the Coin After This? on: September 29, 2019, 11:58:07 PM
It looks like if this is possibly an inside job. But the price of the token is not getting a lot of impacts to consider if there was an exchange site only who has already traded FSN around $0.01
I thought that the developer will be swapped this coin again into the another new coin.
But the price of FSN in the majority of market still remains the same.

3625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin price recovery on: September 29, 2019, 11:37:41 PM
The title says it all — altcoin price recovery is underway. Personally, i would be satisfied if prices go back to where they were a few days ago, but a rally that would take them higher wouldn't hurt, either.

What are your thoughts and expectations?

https://coinmarketcap.com/
After a big dump, the market also gained a little but not significantly.  I have yet to see any signs of a growth again.  The market is really in a very bad period and it will last for a few more days before the big dump continues.  The scenario of early 2019 will return and bitcoin will once again fall below $ 6k!
To reach $6000, it must fall below $8000, which we are still above. We do not know how much the price will be, there is no reason to cause any movement. That is why I am afraid to give any opinion. Altcoins will already wait for the BTC to increase and after that increase altcoins will also take action. But when this increase will take place is the question that concerns everyone.
I hope you dude watch the market and up to date with the latest news every day. BAKKT is the main reason right now and it may change again if there will be another bad news comes to the market.
Bitcoin will increase if there was good news but it's not yet coming.
Not all of the coins are doing the same as bitcoin and a few coins are still going very smooth and that coin doesn't even care about what trend bitcoin.
3626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are we not seeing more of Euro, yen or pound pegged stable coins? on: September 23, 2019, 10:44:19 PM
I think the reason is popularity and power of Dollar. All the currencies are always compared with Dollar. In my opinion, instead of discussing about the reason of lack of a Euro-pegged stable coin, we should discuss why dollar is that powerful and why we always compare all the currencies with Dollar. I think first we should answer this. The answer to this question is same as the answer to your question.
Some exchange sites have already created the euro or another stable coin backed by another fiat like KRW. The problem is not so many exchange sites really need it to consider about they can still use wired transaction as a gateway to receive or send the fiat value.
People are more familiar with the dollar value.
3627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hold on to patience even when it feels like wearing off on: September 23, 2019, 10:34:58 PM
Altcoins seem to be the ones taking the hits of negative results and they are not encouraging, i know its not a good time for every altcoin holders, the question you all need to be asking yourselves is how long will altcoin market keep declining? will it take forever cos nothing last forever, patience is all you need, if its not enough to calm you then look for other ways to sustain yourself for a while, do not run because of present condition cos it doesn't justified tomorrow. For whatever is going to turn out good will first go sideways.
This is really wrong and patience is not the key but we have so many chances to do various things to get profits from the market. can you expect when the declining trend will be ended? I guess you can't expect that because that was unpredictable.
So many people have created a similar thread like this one.
What do you need is how you can use that chance with your best. It's not always about patience as the key.
3628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's stopping crypto from mass adoption? on: September 19, 2019, 11:09:07 PM
In my opinion, the strategy that could help people adopt blockchain technology and crypto trading would be making an effort to educate the masses about this technology. People will only adopt something that they have a full understanding of. Campaigns and advertising the technology on social media platforms where most people are participants would go a huge mile in helping the adoption of crypto.
Educating the masses will take a lot of efforts you're left with one option which is to make the masses interested into learning cryptocurrency if you are really trying to  make people adopt the use of cryptocurrencies. However I do have different opinon, the only thing that stopping crypto from mass adoption is the lack of regulation. Although cryptocurrencies is all about freedom but old people tend to be afraid of something that are not officially recognized by the government or the country they resides in.
3629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops safe? on: September 19, 2019, 10:57:46 PM
Most airdrops do not worth your time because the reward is usually garbage. Any airdrop asking you to sign with your private key in order to claim it is probably scam. Well, some legit airdrops do exist like the recent XLM airdrop by KEYBASE which demands you have an account with keybase and github before 9th September to be eligible.
worth or not is a matter of perspective but however I do agree with your opinion that any airdrop which asking too much things and could be predicted to have a garbage value is not worth the time. just pick an airdrop from a reputable project and it will be fine although the value usually lacking aswell.
3630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Btc price is allready too high on: September 17, 2019, 11:14:58 PM
Op, what you must to do to see how the price of bitcoin is going increase steadily and this is the best coin which is not having a lot of volatility and compared with another crap coin and bitcoin is the best choice.
if you are even thinking if bitcoin is worst than altcoin and it's better to tell you about you can now invest in stable coin with the hopes you can get the volatility from there.
I thought that this is a joke from you.  Cheesy
3631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What exchange is better than binance? on: September 17, 2019, 11:02:17 PM
I think that Binance will go bankrupt soon because if hacker attacks and scandals with users database. That is why I want to know what exchange is better to use. I know that changelly is good, but I don't know about them a lot/ Do you know it? What do you think about
I do not think that Binance something happens, but definitely I can recommend a very good exchange, which i enjoyed and participated in it in IEO.This exchange gate.io.I like the interface, speed and efficiency of technical support, low commission.

I have used gate.io and I think this exchanger is quite good. But to compete with Binance, I think gate.io still needs time because Binance's liquidity is quite large compared to gate.io. The IEO organized by gate.io is also profitable and I think this exchanger can potentially become big and become a competitor for other big exchangers
Gate.io doesn't give a free limit for a new account and this one has already made KYC verification as a mandatory and then you can now try to compared the service that already provided by gate and kucoin and as far as i know kucoin is much better in the various reason. Good interface, good performance and security and perfect combination. This one is still underrated exchange site.
3632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: FIRST TIME OF HEARING THE WORLD BOUNTY! on: September 17, 2019, 10:49:53 PM
Few weeks ago I found my self in this technological medium And I have been on the newbies section not knowing there are several sections here on the forum. Coming here I find one word very common which is Bounty it will a pleasure if someone will highlight what its all about it importance and benefits !!!
You don't need a simple explanation and what you must know about that to visit the bounty thread directly and then you can try to start to read the whole of thread. bounty is a part of the marketing purpose and this has already begun since ethereum ico has been running in the past.
Bounty gives to many benefits to the users especially for the early adopters who have become millionaires caused by they are getting a lot of major coin from their efforts.
3633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: So what is your favorite crypto exchange for trading in 2019?🔥🔥🔥🚀🚀🚀 on: September 12, 2019, 03:46:03 PM
Almost all of us answer Binance and this is also me but Kucoin good also. Who's more prefer in margin trading will more choose bitmex even binance also have margin option. I think it depend on which one our skills. For HB DEX this is first time i hear about it,but interesting.
It's a known fact that Binance has marked their brand on many people's head after their huge success of IEO and to mention that they are among the largest exchange based on volume.
i'm myself did use binance frequently for the sole reason of stability and how much coins which fortunately got listed on their site. But I suggest people should try any dex exchange aswell.
3634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is regulation good or bad? on: September 12, 2019, 03:39:14 PM
While we are discussing here whether the cryptocurrency market regulation is good or not, many countries have already been regulated. First of all, I’m talking about how many exchanges, in favor of the SEC, prohibit participation in IEO for citizens of those countries that are on the US sanctions list. I think this is not what Satoshi Nakamoto wanted when he created the first crypto coin.
The FATF (Financial Anti-Money Laundering Measures Development Group) has already submitted the final version of the guidelines for the cryptocurrency market. At the G20 summit, these provisions were supported. Many centralized exchanges have already accepted them. But I think this is a futile idea, because there are decentralized exchanges and the cryptocurrency market well go into the “gray” P2P selling zone and mixing services

This is going well as expected. There's are several gray areas in cryptocurrency that has to be addressed in other to have a proper adoption. That is why Coinbase is more acceptable to operate in the US market because its open to regulators. I support regulation for cryptocurrency and we all should too. It won't devalue the blockchain or the tradable assets
The regulation will definitely help to assure the users that they are not going to get a rough time dealing with unnecessary things that are caused by the lack of regulation but most of people seeing it as a bad things.
Although there's decentralized exchange that could possibly be used for fighting the enforced regulation but you just see those DeX are not really popular and lacking the volume. Even I heard there's a dex exchange that requires KYC aswell, that's just plain ridiculous.
I also actually agree that the regulation won't devalue the cryptos but it's like exchanging a little bit of freedom for your safety.

3636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: He Predicts Death of Altcoins and Hard Forks on: August 11, 2019, 04:50:56 PM
Do people really think that when bitcoin dominance increases all of the altcoins will die? that's just so wrong, even if the market cap of many altcoins has sunk into the depth of the bottom they are still alive anyway. I don't see any single sign that indicates the dead of altcoins but instead there's a new trend called IEO which brings many people. Also considering that bitcoin is about opensource thing and freedom, it is to be expected that there will always be altcoins that people privately created.
3637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: your patience is being tested on: August 11, 2019, 04:29:29 PM
Selling at low price is not wrong if you just badly need it, also if the price is still above to what you bought or you earned it that's still a profit and not a loss. People are always overly pessimistic when it comes to trading I think they are just nervous and panicking while at the end of the day they are still gaining profit.
3638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if Bitcoin Dominance increases by more than 80%? on: August 11, 2019, 03:34:44 PM
given the current market performance, i think we're going to get 80%, so what's going to happen? that the altcoin will disappear almost all save the main ones(eos, eth, neo, monero etc),and the price of btc will skyrocket
If bitcoin really hits 80% dominance I don't think all of altcoins that are not included on top 10 will just vanish into thin air. They will definitely still exist but just with relatively low volume compared to bitcoin but if the market capitalization of the overall cryptocurrency market is rising, huge chance the amount of daily volume will be the same.
3639  Economy / Economics / Re: Blockchain-based anti-counterfiet drugs made by Students from Cebu Phillippines on: August 10, 2019, 02:19:42 AM
A good way to counter some arguments of misinformed people that blockchain is used for paying illegal drugs or criminialities only while it is actually just a system. while infact here blockchain could be used to prevent counterfeited drugs. I'm also looking forward for some of people to create and implement governances voting based on blockchain which invulnerable against hackers.
3640  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying stable coins is a goog or a bad idea? on: August 10, 2019, 02:11:51 AM
As a trader, sometimes I convert my holdings to stable coins (especially USDT since it usually has more volume and trading pairs) , when I think the market will dump or when I'm off for a while and can't watch the market. This is because I day-trade so I have to be very careful to avoid losing big.  Asking if buying stable coins is good or bad idea depends on the purpose for buying. Buy when you want your holdings to be stable in price escaping volatility or when you want to trade on stable coin pairs. Normally you should know that buying stable coin for long term is not profitable, since price is almost stagnant.
It could be profitable if the fiat that used to backup your stablecoin is increasing in price but considering the volatility nature of cryptocurrency that might not affect that much.
Only if stablecoins reward holders for staking that'd be a little profitable.
