Either you apply the tag to all guys or take it off me then. Apply the policy fairly to all forum users.

It is, there just isn't anyone willing to investigate. If they are scammers then they probably would have a tag by now if there were anyone working the cases. I don't know if you just can't read or don't believe it, but there are literally 0 people who are willing to do the scammer investigations Maged did, and Maged isn't doing them for now. You're gonna have a hard time finding someone to give away their time for free.

If you really want to see them get a scammer tag, then feel free to compile all the evidence, I'm sure Maged will give you some tips. Or just sit here and whine about it I guess.

As it is, we have very few people willing to put forth the effort to investigate a scam report, so everything else will either be delayed or ignored.

It sucks, but it's the truth. There's several alleged scammers without tags on the boards atm, because nobody (me included) can take the time to look into them. It's a time consuming process with little or no reward of any kind the majority of the time.

Maybe it's time for the free market everyone talks about to work it's magic  Wink.
2663  Economy / Lending / Re: [Funded] Want 55 BTC loan on: June 29, 2012, 01:41:20 PM
Messaged both of them soon after and no response since then.  Undecided

kr105 is also a scammer that has not been marked yet.

I forgot about your pm, it was confusing and had no context. Was going to reread it later that day when I had more time but never got around to it (there should be a save as new option for individual pms). It does make a bit more sense in the context of this thread, linking them would have helped. You didn't even mention the name of the account you were talking about.

I don't have the time nor the inclination to investigate scammer accusations. Don't get paid for my time, and there's no reward of feeling I actually accomplished something when they just stop using the account and fire up a new one. Too frustrating to see that, I'm trying to keep my blood pressure down  Wink.

A random thought... but what if Bulanula doesn't actually have control of the address 1Bu1424Lf7y3Jz9p4ZyCo2mRSQDwdaXrHa so he wouldn't be able to transfer it back anyhow?

Doesn't matter. What he did or didn't do with the money after the fact is irrelevant. Any problems he has accessing that address is his problem.

I helped sebonkazura convert his subs and deleted them manually yesterday, I think that was the only notable non standard sub posts.

Well this is just awesome. Thanks.

Nothing wrong with having more options. Some people just want to use a e-currency for convenience, not because of ideology or politics.

Entrapment generally only applies if they are getting you to do something you wouldn't/don't normally do.

Satoshi Nakamoto, handsome, clever, and rich, with an unknown home and happy chihuahua, seemed to unite some of the best blessings of Bitcoin; and had lived nearly nine-thousand years in the Internets with very little to distress or nuke China.

Broke it but the last part needs fixing anyway, it'll get there eventually.

Here I am with a big fat scammer tag related to this issue here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=483.msg841913#msg841913

How is this a scam?

He made a mistake and sent me 1 million BTC and I am the scammer!?

Coins still there BTW ...

Scammer tag still there too.

Did I say I want it removed ?

Nope ...

Gotta enjoy the show Wink

Doesn't compute.

Indeed  Wink

Seems more like a kid getting his xbox taken away and now stomping around screaming "I didn't want it anyway!"

where can I see how much time I have spent online?  Huh

Go to your profile, bottom of the page there's a link to your general statistics. There's also one at the top of pretty much every page next to your avatar and username, under the new replies and unread posts watchlist links, I suppose that one varies by skin though.
2676  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Damn we were near 15$/bitcoin there for a second! on: June 21, 2012, 01:26:35 PM
Man I hate it when these threads pop up, always making me check the charts. I used to be able to dismiss them when I saw it was posted in June...

Its funny that a scammer probably bought coins at that price and lost money Cheesy

That is a little funny.  Wink

2678  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are we winning the "drug war"? on: June 21, 2012, 11:25:45 AM
It's a waste of money, time, and energy better spent elsewhere.

I disagree with this philosophy. Drugs should be legal, not because it's a waste of money, time, and energy, but because every individual should have sovereign rights on her or his body.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.
2679  Other / Meta / Re: Tag/Badges on: June 21, 2012, 09:12:06 AM
For what purpose?

Cause if it's to be applied to people by the forum/us/admins like the scammer tag that's a terrible idea.

Quote
(Reuters) - The Florida police chief whose department failed to arrest neighborhood watch volunteer George Zimmerman in the February shooting death of unarmed black teenager Trayvon Martin was fired on Wednesday, the city of Sanford said.

Quote
police documents released later showed that the lead investigator in the Sanford Police Department believed there was enough evidence to arrest Zimmerman for manslaughter. The investigator wrote in his summary that Martin was not involved in any criminal activity, and that Zimmerman could have avoided the encounter.
