Why settle for parity? Why not go for the same level ZEC was selling at soon after their launch?!  Fake Satoshi better leave the gym and pump this shit up to the next galaxy.

I want a hand job from BCH too.

Why settle for a crummy hand job? BCH will give you the whole schlabang.

Bitcoin Cash is killing bitcoin every minute it goes up.

Bitcoin price is now at $6100.

It will hit $5000 before the next fork is about to happen.

Prepare yourselves! Angry

buttcash could hit 1-1 by monday? :-D lol

Wow, BCH blocks incoming at more than 1 per minute. Shocked At this rate, the difficulty with be bumped up 4x in less than 12 hours. If they want this heavy hashrate to continue seamlessly to their hardfork, they will need to pump BCH up to .35 BTC at least. GO ROGER. GO JIHAN! Grin Roll Eyes

is there any bcg wallet out yet? cant find one in their web site

I don't suspect they are going to release any wallets until the are ready to go live. They won't want someone to crash their instamine party of 8000 blocks.
2665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 12, 2017, 12:51:47 AM

November 10th was the last adjustment (btc). Because of the slower block times now, its 19 days until the next with a current estimate of -24%. So expect the battle to continue until then at least and it could get worse as BCH is much more profitable to mine atmo. When does BCH retarget though?

Since BCH is in supersonic mode right now, the difficulty will probably go up 4x, sometime tomorrow, or early Monday. However, the magical mystery miners may not attempt to stop mining to enact the EDA since the new retarget algo will come on the 13th anyway.
https://www.bitcoinabc.org/november
Starting on the 13th, just after 7:06 pm, BCH will change difficulty every single block. This should stop the profit switching. We will see if any miners, besides the two magical mystery miners, will stick around. I suspect they will all just go back to mining BTC and Wu's two farms will mine BCH all by their lonesome with a sprinkle of other miners who mine BCH just because they hate Core.
2666  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining strategy suggestions/ Constantly checking What-to-Mine hurting home life on: November 12, 2017, 12:23:44 AM

nicehash ---- zcash---convert to btc --- use and exchange like bittrex

only look 1 time  a week

If you can not do this  don't mine  as you could become a compulsive gambler at this very easily

That's pretty straight forward. I'll mine the other coins until I have more than dust, then revert to the sensible strategy.
BTW: I noticed that no one has mentioned MRR at all. Back in 2015, when my Rockminer was basically obsolete, I used MRR to rent out at a premium with Nicehash as the failover. I guess that doesn't work in the GPU game. Or has MRR gone downhill?

The common wisdom is to buy on rumor, sell on news. I would say just after the fork. I could be wrong, though.

Yes that is the wisdom, but it doesn't apply here. The BCH fork has been news for the past week. Nobody was buying the rumor.
I suppose you could say that the rumor is "Bitcoin Cash is Satoshi's original Bitcoin"? But when that's news, I don't think the BCH price will go down, LOL.

No, we still do not know exactly what effect the new difficulty retarget algo will have on the network. Therefore, it is still "rumor." It will be news when we see it play live on the mainnet.

Have to disagree with you here, bones. "Buy the rumor, sell the news" is a Wall St. trader maxim. It has nothing to do with technicals or fundamentals - it's just playing on human psychology and the greater fool concept. These guys have no idea what diff adjustments, mempools, and hashrate are!

Even the Kore Segwit minions don't fully understand those topics, ie. that's why you have so many people running around like chickens with their heads cut off when somebody mentions that BCH is hard forking...

If you're looking for a rumor then how's this: "The Chinese miners may drastically reduce the BTC hashrate on the date of the Segwit2x fork even though the fork was cancelled"?

You don't think these Cryptocurrency markets are playing on human emotion? LOLZ!
2669  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining strategy suggestions/ Constantly checking What-to-Mine hurting home life on: November 11, 2017, 09:00:37 PM
I recently got a new computer with GTX 1070. I have been tinkering with mining, but have been checking WhatToMine fairly frequently. This is starting to hurt my home life for only about 1.50 USD per day, profit. getting up at 5:30 am to check what I should be mining isn't helping either.  Cheesy Any suggestions on what a more balanced strategy would be? The nagging from my partner is starting to increase...
PS: I've already limited my choices between Nicehash, ZCash, Zencash, Hush, and Bitcoinz. But even toggling between these 4 options is taking an inordinate amount of my time.

I have tried whattomine and similar, but they dont do it for me, they are not accurate.
I dont know, i tried *sigh*
like the one it says Xevan is 24 MH/s   but i only get 1 MH/s so it makes no sense for that example

Oh well, in the end, I'm just playing around anyway. 1 GTX 1070 isn't going to make me rich unless I manage to get in the 1st few minutes of the next altcoin that ends up being hyped to the hilt. After all, I am not a gamer. So I really don't need a GTX 1070 except to play around with mining. I felt like I was missing out on the mining game. I want to have the full crypto experience.

@bones 261 - Option 4 is correct. But if they dump their Bitcoin Cash ( comming back to my question ) what coin they going to invest in. Is there a coin better than Bitcoin Cash ? Otherwise I wouldn't dump my coins !!

DCG plays with most of the coins. They have their tentacles spread all over the place. http://dcg.co/portfolio/

Just read CoinDesk. That may give you a clue of what they are pumping and what they are dumping. Naturally, they only tip their hand when they think it will have maximum effect.  Grin

this is a pr disaster. some kids on reddit heard BCH is the real BTC and lost all their cash coins in a Bitcoin address.
but which will be the real fake bitcoin?

@JihanWu

There is more and more threatening that BCH's hard fork upgrade will have spin-off(s) by some parties. It is said that they will creat "BCH Classic". I think exchanges should be prepared and not losing spin-off coins. Your customers may want to sell it(them) to have more BCH.

ForkClassic this is great Cool weee

Good God! Are they going to give birth to a new coin every time they want to do a software upgrade? What's next? Monetizing testnet coins too?  Huh

Do any exchanges have a heart? It should be indeed possible for them to recover coins lost that way. I guess it is a big hassle since it compromises private keys. However, exchanges have compromised their private keys in many more ways for years, and the community has had to live with the consequences.  Roll Eyes

Astonishing rise, but I cannot find what is the reason why it rise (except Segwit 2x cancellation - I don't think is sufficient cause)
Is there any big news, or it is another pump & dump?

I think Bitcoin will remain top price thanks to big money, but I am really curious if bch could keep 1000+ levels

That is interesting to watch how long it will remain above $1k at the moment there is no solid reason behind this. Time will decide about the people who are buying at this price.

1. From the amount of questions that are getting asked about the fork and getting extra coins could be one reason many are expecting to double up
2. Roger is selling the rest of his Bitcoin to buy Bitcoin Cash
3. The Segwit2x crowd see this as the next best option

Thats about it take your pick but probably a combination of all 3 either way it won't last and when it does dump it will go HARD

You forgot option 4.
4. Digital Currency Group bought a bunch of BCH sub .07 BTC and are now using their typical tricks to get suckers to gobble up all of their asks. (Maybe even poor old Ver. Getting a good whale is just as good as tons of sardines.) They may even be offloading the Coinbase BCH that they have not distributed to their users, yet.

I think bitcoin will recover after 13th november (BCH hard fork) and the price will go past 7000 again. What do you guys think?

It depends on how many suckas decide to margin short so the whales can squeeze the crap out of them.

13 November fork gives everyone who owns BCH new coin called Bitcoin ABC ?

No, the hard fork is meant to be a protocol upgrade of the difficulty retarget algorithm. I doubt anyone will be mining this with the old software, so no new coin will be created.
2676  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2017, 06:51:23 PM
So, BTC will still be forked (SW2X) in 5-6 days or they need more time for the replay protection and the fork date is not fixed yet? I don't understand no more, lol

It's been abandoned by the major players. However, the software is still in the wild. So, a small band of renegade miners could still fork off. However, we have already been dealing with this with Bitcoin XL, Bitcoin Classic and Bitcoin Unlimited. They are all blow and no go. They should just stick to Bitcoin Cash. At least that did get off the ground.

When this will be over we all know you will never come and post again here on the Wall Observer and you will go back to the forum section that suits you best:

Announcements (Altcoins)

 Wink

Altcoins are a viable(although probably not the most efficient) path for earning more BTC. The vast majority of my posting is in that section. However, I have never really been a true believer in any Altcoin. Just ended up dumping them for what I truly want. Smiley

All of these are really good suggestions. Thanks very much for some insight.  Cool

Then just stick to a coin that has good, stable profitability for Nvidia, like ZEC. The difference between mining that and another coin that 'may' be more profitable that day is very likely to be pennies with a single 1070.

I think that is a plan that I can stick with. Especially since ZEC trading is available on a wide range of exchanges, so I don't have to settle for only C-CEX or yobit or some other two-bit exchange. Thanks.

I would also suggest to go for a Equihash coin that is relatively new (ZCL, ZEN, Hush). Also check out BTCZ - you could at least farm some coins instead of only fractions of it.

I wouldn't suggest you to try too many different algos as it always takes times to set them up and tinker around. Finding the optimal settings for Equihash will allow you to mine a wide range of coins.
That's basically what I have been doing. However, it's still taking too much of my time when we are talking pennies here. I haven't strayed far from the Equihash algo because that would take even more time.  Cheesy
