^^ It was really an ugly game for the Suns, yes they have won games without CP3, very close that they could really lost that game if not for some heroics and game ending winning shots. But in this game, it just show how CP3 is important for the Suns, to control the complexion of the game and put themselves in a position to win. But since his out, it turns out to be messy resulting in a lost for them.
2662  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price. on: March 12, 2022, 05:02:43 AM
In the midst of the war between Russia and Ukraine, can we see Bitcoin at the top? Or Bitcoin will not be able to rise from its position as long as the war lasts, what do you think?
Doesn't matter if there is war between Russia and Ukraine, the price will still go down because we are in a bear market already. If you will go and look at bitcoin's past history, there is this so called 4 year cycle. So this year we are in the start of the next bear market that could possibility last up to 2024. So personally, the war is just another catalyst to show that we are really in a decline and we will see some retracement.
2663  Economy / Economics / Re: Ukrainians Embrace Bitcoin For Daily Purchases: Report on: March 11, 2022, 11:54:35 AM
Now ukraine citizens are getting great benefits from bitcoin, I hope this can help so that ukraine does not find it difficult to meet their needs, and of course this is a very effective campaign to silence haters who are currently still actively spreading FUDs.

They've already received millions in donations through bitcoin and other cryptos, so for sure they can meet their demands with the donations they got.

For FUD, it will be here, not matter if we are in a bear market or bull run, or even in covid or war, it is what it is. What's important is that this FUD are not that effective anymore, maybe investors are immune to it and they don't give a damn and simply put the noise down.
2664  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: March 11, 2022, 11:12:24 AM
How has your trading been lately with this Ukraine and Russia war. The market has not been stable since this war have started and yesterday bitcoin volatility was a little high and later dropped, now trading on a low at $39k.

Of course trading is bull and bear, profit and loss  Shocked

So what is your experience so far during this war?

I'm like wanting to know ....
Just another trading day, it doesn't matter if we are in the war, trading is open 24x7 so there is still the opportunity to make money. It might not big profits though during this day trading, there are price swings that you can take advantage. But i guess it depends on how much capital you have to make profits during the war. So for me, it's a so-so performance, not good but not bad either.
2665  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto prices crash as threat of war looms on: March 11, 2022, 10:40:44 AM
Price crash is totally different from small corrections or decreases which we are seeing at the moment.
I think the effect of the Ukraine war is what the market reacts to from the market sentiment.  But it's not the grand nature of that decline.  We all realized last May bitcoin also had a big retracement at $29k and then everyone was panicking and panicking, but in the end bitcoin hit a new ATH.  Therefore, I think it is still advisable to be optimistic about another stronger recovery.  It can happen if the positions are confirmed from the market.

Again those are different scenarios, we haven't reach new all time high that time and it was a typical retracement to $29k. But now, when we did experience a magical run to $69k and then we slowly decline to what we are right now. So it's a combination of retracement and then followed by panic due to the war. And it may very well confirmed that we are not in a bull run cycle this year.
It's good though that we have to experienced a downturn, a mean it's the best opportunity for crypto investors specially those who are not whales to buy and make money for themselves in the future. So let's look at the bright side for this kind of retracement that we have seen since we hit ATH last year. Let's now take it negatively otherwise it will simply defeat the purpose of being into crypto. So squeeze in the bear market, accumulate and then wait for the bull run and make profit.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 11, 2022, 09:39:12 AM
The LA Lakers continued their bad course in the league with the Houston Rockets game. LeBron James outstanding performance also does not bring success to the LA team. The Nuggets team reflects their successful games in the last matches on the field and they caught a good series.
Lebron has such amazing ability but in my own opinion, his mentality is weak and thats take a huge hit on this game. Lebron not really Michael Jordan or Kobe level when the game is on the line. He trust his teammates more than he trust himself. Instead of reverse dunk or lay -up to win he passed it to Carmelo. His always afraid to take the last shot. Well, that was a good game. The H.Rockets took it to the L.A lakers to get the win.
Well there is only one GOAT and we can't compare him to MJ. And we have seen Lebron though falter throughout his career and that's why people are criticizing him about his mental toughness when it comes to close out games although you can agree about coming back from the Warriors 1-3 in their finals series but he has Kyrie with him.
2667  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 11, 2022, 08:59:26 AM

The statement of the sanctioning bodies and other giants in the sports industries are heavily biased, they cannot just ban those said athletes and get the fights unsanctioned just because their nationality is Russian is really unreasonable and wrong.

If this cases will remain, then I don't doubt that a time will come that they won't let the said athletes or fighters to join such games or events just because they do not share the same beliefs or views.

I read in one article that they will let Bivol fight Canelo but Bivol will not be allowed to show the Russian flag and they will not allow playing the Russian national anthem, I think that's fair enough they are not banning the boxer but what he represents, I love to see this push through Bivol has never been challenged inside the ring he is always in offense let us see if his offense is that good to challenge's Canelo's defense.
Fair enough, and to be honest, Bivol is somewhat feeling dishearten by the event and might be very ashamed that his country started the war in Europe. So there will be no problem for him not playing the anthem and the flag of Russia.

And hopefully this could be true so that the fight will push as schedule and let Bivol fight as boxers regardless of his nationality and what flag he represented.
2668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & California on: March 11, 2022, 08:37:43 AM
Apologies for mentioning this but US costitution is way funny because it can be manipulated as and when required in the favour of Government rules and regulation. It’s not based on or in the benefit of public grievances. So this will always gonna be problem for the US peeps and they should actually call an action against this. Otherwise Bitcoin won’t be able to survive one day if they decided to take it down through illegal tender.

Anyways, this is positive thing they doing and I wish that country like California would have this rendered in the state. California is big hub and it can attract heavy players into crypto economy.

The positive side is that Biden has already executive order on cryptocurrencies, although it's long overdue I think once its finalized crypto will be accepted widely in every state.  There is a need for this EO because of the states like Cali, Maimi, Arizona and etc which had been trying to make thier cities a crypto hub without yet a real regulation.

We noticed prices spikes after the executive order was released. I think there will be no need for states to individually recognize BTC as legal tender.
The EO order of Biden is somewhat very positive for the crypto. Maybe it doesn't translate to the price increase, but I at least it's good that we finally hear the stance of US as far as crypto goes.

For California and other states making it a legal tender, I think it's also a very positive news. At least bitcoin is being viewed as another options now. Unlike before when it was look as very negative and that it is being used by criminals only.
2669  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 10, 2022, 05:47:36 PM
Rockets beat Lakers unexpectedly and Alperen Şengün broke his career high by 21 points and 14 rebounds. Jalen Green put 32 and Josh Christopher 21. This young Rockets team look promising. If they get a good player from draft then rebuilding may pay-off well.
LeBron made another triple double and Westbrook put 30 but this unexpected loss might be a problem for their play-off chances. They should win as many matches as possible. Only six games left, I guess they need at least four wins. They have potential to do that but it won't be easy.

After watching the Rockets a couple of games I like watching them.  They play loose and if they grab one more stud in the draft this year they can be good real fast.  Grab a couple good vet leaders in free agency and they could be right in the mix in the West.  Jalen finally looks like it's coming together for him after a slow start to the season.
A lot of hype when Jalen comes in the NBA and there are some NBA analyst who says that he could be the rookie of the year, but he was injured in the beginning so it's very unfortunately that he is out of the race. Nevertheless his team mate Christian Wood might get the ROTY. As for the Lakers, Westbrook has a good game and Lebron too, but it wasn't enough against as they fell short.
2670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Shakur Stevenson vs Oscar Valdez 130-pound Title Unification Fight on: March 09, 2022, 06:27:36 PM
although if I'm not mistaken he is the slight favourite in that fight but Herring has some physical advantages that he negated early with his good defense and then accurate punching in the middle of the rounds.

No, he was actually the heavy favorite in that fight.

source
Quote
The latest Stevenson vs. Herring odds from Caesars Sportsbook list Stevenson as the -1100 favorite (risk $1,100 to win $100), while Herring is the +700 underdog.

Actually I thought that Herring had a shot in that fight but it was wrong because Stevenson completely dominated the fight and the bookmakers were never wrong in setting up the odds.
I agree, with the way Herring is dominating his opponents and getting the belt, it seems that it will be a tight contest between the two. But Shakur is really that smart in their fight, he didn't allow himself to get on a slug fest in the beginning and content to counter the long and physical advantage of Herring. And this is the reason why is he is favorite against Oscar. But as I have said, Valdez is also a champion so maybe the odds should be close.
2671  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this for real? on: March 09, 2022, 05:46:17 PM
So even if PoW requires more energy it should still be the way to secure a network, and since bitcoin is using it and it will not be replaced then those politicians will fail at implementing something like that as the reality of the situation will never match with their expectations.
It is the reality that those politicians who will implement to ban pow or bitcoin, they'll just fail in the end. The network is making it secured through pow and those that like to impose it because "it consumes too much energy" don't really understand what it is all about.
There's an alternative to this problem if that's what they're addressing, there are alternative energy sources that have been done by huge mining farms if the main concern is all about the consumption and effect of it as it requires a huge amount of energy.
Correct, which is why something like this makes no sense at all, bitcoin mining already uses a great deal of energy which came from renewable sources so it was probably one of the cleanest industries in that aspect that we could find.

Governments know this so this is not something they can use to directly attack bitcoin or their lies would be exposed relatively quickly, so they are just arguing that the energy consumption of bitcoin and other POW coins is too high and something must be done about it, which obviously includes banning and other regulatory measures, which is what they were aiming for from the beginning.
They already put ahold of this bill for now, maybe it's because of the ongoing war in Europe. Anyways, the people behind this initiative is not really familiar with bitcoin mining, Maybe they just heard it from someone else or just read it in the internet. Because we all know that their argument is really flawed and there are a lot of industries, far greater than bitcoin mining that really affects the environment. Even banking system consumes a lot of electricity per year as compare to bitcoin.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: March 09, 2022, 05:22:49 PM

Butler on the other hand did the right decision to wait for Casimero for another couple of months, I guess Butler really want to prove something on Casimero or he was just after the belt after all.
Both, he wants to win to get the belt, otherwise, he would just fight the replacement but he won't benefit since there's no belt in a certain fight. Now is his chance, it doesn't matter if it's delayed, as long as he will continue his training and do the right strategy in the fight, he certainly has a decent chance to win.

Yes, I know that. Aside that he's after for Casimero's belt, maybe this is also a personal business for Butler because as I said, he want to prove something on Casimero and that's the main reason behind the waiting, the belt is just a second reason. Well, whatever it is, they will surely have a showdown next month and see who will win.

I like to see how he will prove himself to Casimero, hopefully, he will not be the same as Rigo who is only good at talking but not in the ring. If you saw the fight, you would really feel bored, so we hope that it will not happen here and it will be more entertaining if we will see a KO win.
As the saying goes, it takes two to tango, and Rigo is not willing to dance with Casimero so instead he uses what he knows best, play defense and run which doesn't suited most of the boxing fans as his style is boring.

But Butler is not Rigo, and he will be finding in his home soil. So he doesn't want to be boo'ed in his own town. So I think he will go and fight Casimero toe to toe and see who is the last man standing in this fight.
2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: March 09, 2022, 04:57:10 PM
Seems everyone has a good day in NBA betting as majority of those who predicted the game has won.

Bucks and the Hawks, Bucks started to get hot in their last couple of games and have been tearing the score. So my only bet for later is them -4.5 against the Hawks. It will also be on their home court so maybe this will push them hard to take a win.
2674  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $40000 resistance on: March 08, 2022, 08:48:01 PM
Not really sure what kind of "accurate" prediction you are asking because there are none, everyone is just making wild educated guess.

So I guess short term goal is to break that $40k resistance and maintain it.

Long term, at least get to $50k, but I doubt that we will reach new all time high for this year as obviously, we are going into a huge retracement or as others may have to put it, we are in a bear market.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 08, 2022, 08:11:24 PM
this is why this upcoming fight is very interesting to look forward to. the caliber of spence jr will be tested on ugas. though spence is highly favourite here, but we can't be too sure that ugas has no chance of beating him. some are considering that ugas got lucky with pacquiao because of his age, but remember a boxer still needs skills and strategy to beat a boxing legend. it is not an easy feat also for ugas.
ugas knows what he is up against, so no doubt he will be on serious training here.

Agree that it's not about being luck. Ugas was being in a disadvantage on that fight against Manny since it's roughly about few days where he was called for a replacement. Lack of time to prepare. He beat Manny because of skills, not purely luck.
If I'm not mistaken, Ugas has a fight as well during that time, he is in the undercard of the match between Manny and Errol Spence. So he is active and ready to do battle, maybe his luck comes from the timing of Errol Spence's injury, but no doubt that he has the skills to beat Manny back then.

Against Spence, let's see if he can make a way to beat the heavy favorite. He is more of eager to win here since he has a target. However, Spence won't surely give him an easy fight. Can't wait for that day to see them clashing with each other.
Yes, he is proclaiming that fighters are avoiding him because of his style so let's see how good Spence is if he can break down Ugas. Style makes fight so this one is very intriguing match-up.
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Dmitry Bivol - May 7 on: March 08, 2022, 12:21:21 PM
Wouldn't it be suspend because of the Russia invasion? many sports league already removed Russia in their competition but the WBO does not yet? or they doesn't care about politics? In this match I think I would go in Alvarez, I see his previous matches and I think he can't easily beat by Bivol though Bivol doesn't have much professional boxing career his previous career in non professional boxing is great too. This is very exciting match.
I hope it will not be suspended, we have not seen Canelo having a fight this year yet unlike last year when he fight 3 times in a year IIRC. Sports should not be mixed with politics as its main purpose is just entertainment, so I hope we will see our expectations.
I don't think it will be suspended, Canelo is the face of boxing and if they did with his first fight for this year, this might send a bag signal for all Russian boxers, and it's not be good for the sports. Boxing fans wanted to see Canelo this year against a tough fighter in Bivol and hopefully this politics and sports should be separated.
2677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: March 08, 2022, 11:54:41 AM
^^ Nick is a different case though, he seems to have a problem inside, that's why you can see his antic in the court.

For Zverev, yes, he is a great player and for sure everyone likes the guy. But with his outburst, just shows another side of himself. So I do agree that he will have to learn his lessons and he shouldn't be that emotional in a game.
2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Happy New Year! 2022 is upon us - share your (top 5) coins on: March 08, 2022, 11:15:35 AM
Funny though, the coins or tokens that the OP list didn't have a good price so far. So I wouldn't say that they the best crypto to invest, but hey, to each its own.

So for me the best is to invest this 2022 in those on the top 20, I mean they are in their for reasons so it's pretty obvious that it's the best choice for now specially that we are in a bear market.
2679  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: March 08, 2022, 09:04:05 AM
Philadelphia 76ers v Chicago Bulls is really like a playoff game. Each one of them is doing an amazing job in this season. And my expectation level from each of them is quite high truthfully. Especially 76ers are really promising for the playoffs and even the title. I also believe that Harden has made a huge contribution to the team already now. The Harden - Embiid duo is going to be really great in the playoffs too hopefully. And when it comes to this game, I believe in 76ers to destroy their competitor.

Right now the 76ers have all the advantages because they will try to win this game since they lost their last game without James Harden. now he is playing again and has 11 points in halftime. As the Bulls are struggling today, they continue to catch up not letting the lead reach up to double-digit at the end of the first half. Anything can happen in the last 24 minutes of the game I hope it would be a last-minute battle between these two current heavyweight teams.

Rough game for the Bulls, dropping their fifth straight game. However it was really a fair matchup. The Bulls were missing three starters, Vucevic, Ball, and Patrick Williams. Also still have Alex Caruso out. So they were down four of their best players and 3 starters, so not really a fair fight. The sixers are a damn good team though, but I can’t wait to see the Bulls play them when healthy.
Not only the Bulls, but the Warriors is on a 5 game losing skid as well, as they've lost to the Denver Nuggets tonight. Tough lost though, they played without Steph, Wiggins and Klay but they give the Nuggets a game, Jokic another triple double, and then Poole and Moody try to carry the Warriors without 3 of their starters.
2680  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Weakens at US$ 42,145.35 The Impact of Russia's Conflict with Ukraine on: March 07, 2022, 08:18:49 PM
Bitcoin seems to be recovering already, it will soon hit $40k and we can conclude that the war between Russia and Ukraine does not have a serious effect on the crypto market. Based on what I observed in the past when there are global crisis, crypto is always the alternative for investors, so I think if this war gets worst, people would just decide to put their money into crypto for security as it's more stable than a struggling economy of a specific country.
It still surprises me to see how fast can bitcoin recover from all of these huge negative news that we see in the market, I still remember that after the covid19 finally became a pandemic there was a strong drop in the market and people were panicking, but then after some time the price recovered and we even saw a bull market, this shows how strong is the project created by satoshi, and how at this point it is pretty much unstoppable no matter how bad the news that we receive may seem at first.

It's a different market know, even if we have negative news, there are still investors who are wise enough and see bitcoin as a good instrument to put their money. Of course the biggest scare is the covid19 related news, but it seems it's over now, the world is getting back to normal although a threat of a war is here. Nevertheless, the market remains strong as the price didn't go on a downward spiral because of the war.
Without a doubt the market is way more mature now, however I think the war is going to delay somewhat the recovery we were expecting on watching, as the market participants are going to be very careful and will decide to not invest heavily in any kind of asset until the situation at Ukraine becomes clearer, after all while some are expecting that after Russia destroys the war potential of Ukraine everything could go back to normal I think it is entirely possible that Ukraine will lose its independence and could be annexed by Russia or it could become a puppet state.
There is a consensus right now that investors have withdraw their bitcoin assets then move to oil. Not sure if this is true though or if this is the main reason why the price is slumping right now to $37k. But for sure the unrest in Europe has really affected every market in the world in a bad way. So it's boils down as to how long this war will last, the longer it goes the more the price will go down in my opinion.
