2661  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Core vs Ethereum on: February 20, 2023, 05:28:03 PM
I was thinking what core is this, so it's another altcoin. Compared to Ethereum, it's far from it.

Before the recent lunch of core it was speculated that its value would be half of that of Bitcoin
Checking a few details from it, the market cap is $158M and its supply is around 48 million. You do the math and the highest was when it was launched @$5+.
What's half of bitcoin's price? $10k, well, if you do believe that it will be there then it's going to be a lot of work but to cut the fun. It's unlikely to take place.
2662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 20, 2023, 03:04:13 PM
I've watched the replay of the slam dunk contest. I thought that it was just all hype when I see articles and headlines about McClung. Dude, I'm impressed and he did really made that night and the dunk contest something else.
He made some tough dunks for sure. Hopefully he gets a better challenger next time so we could see another Gordon-Lavine like rivalry.
Yeah, hopefully, the next slam dunk contest will be more colorful and we get to see uncontested and rare dunks that will be introduced by that time.
His dunks are really something else although I've seen almost similar type of that dunk but I'm sure that if you're in the actual, it feels different and that's why the judges appreciated it.

I've also seen that with his entire basketball career, he's made $106k for all of those years. While on this single night, he's made $100k. Mac deserves it.
2664  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: February 20, 2023, 11:00:32 AM
Moving to another place is hard. Be it a new city or the country
And I think the answer to this question varies. I am not in favour of Rent all the time - I would like to have my own place.
We all want to have our own place but renting is the solution for those that are moving from time to time. Like those who are digital nomads, they can transfer from one place to another and that's why it's very easy for them to move.
They don't need to think of anything they have to cover as their asset because for them, it's too easy and there's no hassle at all when they're moving from country to country. Adaptation is also interesting because they learn to bear with new culture.
That is correct - but one can sell the old home and get a new one.
In our religion we are advise to keep moving - this is one of the ways to lean. that life is not easy and that you should travel light
What's your religion? I have never heard of a religion that teaches its members to keep on moving. Maybe that's sort of some metaphor or figure of speech that has a meaning about moving forward in life and not in location.
Those that sell old homes to buy a new one is normal and there are business folks that do buy and sell homes and if it's in a good location, they'll have it rented.
2665  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Convert USDC to USD and Withdraw Monies on: February 20, 2023, 08:40:00 AM
Binance is actually good but where you are right now, the exchange that you'll use to withdraw USDC and convert it into USD and have it deposited into your bank account really depends. Check Coinbase if the documents you have submitted were already approved because it's most likely that they're not. P2P is a common way where you can have it easily deposited but you might take time in finding one that's also available in that country. You have to spend time in researching what's the best market there in Malaysia.
2666  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I've invested around 450 dollars into bitcoin so far and I am 16 years old on: February 20, 2023, 07:32:56 AM
Currently, I am a sophomore in high school. I learned about btc from my dad and btc blew my mind and I was hooked. I've been pretty much putting all that I can into it for a year and a half now. Are there any tips you guys give me? 2/3 of my bitcoin is in Stockpile and the other third is with my dad (I'm not sure how he's storing it). At this moment I own a total of 0.01798185 bitcoin Smiley
First, congratulations.
How I wish that I'm able to know bitcoin when I was younger and there are no other things that I have to think of. It's better to hold it on your own if you already know how to keep your keys. That's the major thing that you should know upon holding and owning bitcoin. Also, having that much at your age for an investment, you need to be consistent and learn to control your emotions whenever you see the price of bitcoin going down.
2667  Economy / Economics / Re: does bitcoin help in your economy? on: February 19, 2023, 11:51:08 PM
In bitcoin I've been getting some profits that have been accumulated for 3 years now.  But for altcoins, most of my losses are huge.  Only when selling bitcoin will it calculate its benefit to your economy, I do not sell at all.  Bitcoin also motivates me to be more positive, more optimistic, better thinking, better financial management…
If so then always keep more bitcoin and continue accumulating it. Bitcoin has helped everyone here, when we don't know about bitcoin, we never heard of it that it could really change lives and it really did.
As much as I don't want to sell my bitcoin holds, I have to do it a few times and I'm sure that I will have to do it again sometime in the future when the price is up and better again. But this time, I have to wait until it's higher, and thanks to it and satoshi for helping most of us and our families that it has added as another source of income.
2668  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay? on: February 19, 2023, 11:27:14 PM
Some Bounties pay more than others. Also some bounty managers are more honest than others. So you have to choose which one to work on
And to choose one, you need to check all of them that you are interested in. Because if you don't, you'll have a hard time determining which is likely to pay.
Yes, only "likely" to pay because you'll never know if you've chosen a bounty that will pay you after they run their marketing. Because all of them are also too heavily influenced by their success.
2669  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: February 19, 2023, 10:55:40 PM
As long as you've downloaded that app from a reliable source or their website, it is very safe. I think most gambling websites make their own apps for a better user experience since there are some issues with others accessing it through browsers, but still, if they have an app with a good review and no bugs, I would use it, but if it is still in the development stage, I will use my own browser to access their website.
There's also a psychology on it that they only want the one used by them if they're on their app. There will be no distractions and they will only be focused on using their app.
It's a good strategy for those casinos that have apps but actually, the best experience depends on how gambler sees their gaming experience whether it's in a browser with a desktop or using through an app phone.

2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 19, 2023, 05:42:54 PM
The real beneficiaries are the ones behind this match-fixing and it doesn't usually start with the players but with those big gamblers behind them.
The players are being used and gets paid for their participation but it isn't big compared to what these gamblers are getting from these fixed matches.
As for the government, if there's a government that's involved in match-fixing then that's truly a corrupt administration.

You can't eradicate this problem if bigwigs are the ones involved on this activity.
And definitely, not only in Brazil but in other countries as well, but it will be in minor leagues.
Hard to manipulate a game without controversy if they play this game in major leagues.
This is why most fixed games can be observed in small leagues where these bigwigs can put a good amount of money.
I can say, this gambling fraud won't stop so long there are big gamblers who want to earn huge profits along with athletes who can be bribed.
Yeah, this still sadly happens in some other countries and they're capitalizing and abusing it with the smaller leagues. That's the sad reality that this is hard to be gone.
As long as these people who are behind these match fixing sees some opportunities in any sport that they can make a fixed match, this will go on and it's gonna be hard to stop it even with the authorities.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sports betting fraud in Brazil 😦 on: February 18, 2023, 08:29:13 PM
Match fixing or sports betting fraud is a big crime and unfortunately, the real beneficiaries for these are the national players and maybe the government is also involved in fraud of such a big level.

2673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: February 18, 2023, 07:53:42 PM
Yeah, I remember when Chot said that it's not really a requirement to win when he's justifying the loss of Gilas. But that's not really a point even if there's a secured slot already.
Those who are available will be prioritized for sure and that's up to the management on who's ready on the pool. I'm sure that many of these players on the pool would be glad to represent the country.

But don't get me wrong. I'm not pointing out Coach Chot's statement.

What I'm saying is, regardless if those expected players are not fit to play at the window qualifying games that will be held here in the country, it's fine since the big deal will be on the main event and those original players should be fit on that time.

It's also a good opportunity to expose the backup players in the window qualifying games especially if the country is already eligible in the main event. In that way, these backup will have some additional experience if ever they will be needed to replace someone urgently during the main event.
But the problem is, look at those past games that they've made. Chot isn't really giving that chance for the reserve/back up players, he's just always with those players that he's coaching in the PBA.
Well, hopefully, that will change for this window that will happen in the country. I agree with you that it's a good time to showcase the other talents that haven't been discovered yet if ever he'll give them some playing time.
2674  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: want To participate in bounties management: on: February 18, 2023, 07:17:40 PM
Hello everyone this is Realking. i need your opinion it has been more than 1 year I am working in different bounties campaigns. everyone wants to learn something new and grows up and with the passage of time and I wants it too. so, I  decided to start my work with bounties management teams. Please you people guide me is this is even possible? if yes then how can i start it?
It's possible but do you think that you can compete with those that have already reputation in bounties management? You can try if you want to and no one can stop you in doing so.
There are just so many factors that you have to consider for you to be able chosen by those projects that may just choose a bounty manager that has more experience than you.

They only know it if they know it and there's not that risk on it unless they know you personally and might attack you with a $5 wrench which is known as the $5 wrench attack.
Other than that, what you can think of is usually when these exchanges sees that you've made such transactions, that might cause them a trigger and you might get asked for some more verifications.
2676  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Scam Alert: BKC Trading unauthorized investment scheme on: February 18, 2023, 10:59:10 AM

2678  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 17, 2023, 09:52:19 PM
I see that btc almost hit 25k$ this morning and i believe that if btc rise 25k$ most of the altcoins will also rise or follow btc trend,
That's what typically takes place when bitcoin's price is up, the altcoins do also go on with bitcoin's direction.

so i think this time will be the very best time to decide what altcoins can give us profit in short term investment if you have any suggestions please extend or let me know.
Before you choose any altcoin you may think of, why not choose to have bitcoin first. But if that's your goal to have a short term profits, yeah, altcoins are the way for it.
2679  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Time to buy or sell? on: February 17, 2023, 09:26:26 PM
Did everyone manage to sell when bitcoin hit $25,000? I didn't because I am for the long term. Although it's not going to hurt to take some actions and start selling when you think that you've got enough. Even though there are some times that we have to think if we're for a long term still, we need to make some short term profits. Well, I didn't do anything as of now and keep my holdings sitting because I think that it's more rewarding in the future just as what we've seen in the past.

Yeah, if there's nothing wrong with how the franchise owners will do, then those who are available will be happy to represent our national flag. I think it's the best achievement a player can be when you are playing for your country. Not with the money, but with the pride where you can bring the glory to your motherland.

Hopefully, coach Chot will be mentored by coach Tim in terms of executing a system that will work for the whole squad.

Not with the running gun plays, but a system that will maximize all the talents of each player inside the court.
Those players that are part of the roster really want to represent the country and whatever is offered to them, it's a big thing already to be part of it.
Chot is something else, he's not willing to work with anyone else. You've seen his ego and it will not change, the problem is on SBP but then, he's like too strong with connections there. I have no hate for him but we saw his run in the past and didn't have the initiative to make the call of people to resign. Too sad that the other great players are in different offshore leagues and became part of the Gilas pool but then, they're not used by Chot, they just heated their seats during those window qualifiers.
