Nah, it wouldn't be recoverable if all the posts you made in a period are removed you will lose those points forever. You can even go down a rank. Seen it happen a few times.

Right on, I'm thinking that you would know given your work here.  I've had a post deleted before, but I've never been near this kinda episode.
2682  Other / Off-topic / Re: Am I the only girl on here? : ( on: March 07, 2015, 07:45:26 PM
I dont think so, theres a lot of girls here.

Your post lacked confidence. Do you know any? Don't count fabiola and those skype sexcam whores advertising on Services.

I don't keep track of the girl count but I don't know why these folks wouldn't count as girls if they say they are and are presenting video evidence.  Just sayin'
2683  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: March 07, 2015, 07:44:09 PM
I'm playing games and gambling a bit with small amounts, but whenever I get a nice little chunk, I set it aside and hodl.  I'll looking into selling perhaps when the price goes high again.  In the meantime, may as well scrape up small amounts and hodl.
2684  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [CRYPTO-TRADE v2.0] Crypto-Trade.com Exchange & IPO -new- official thread! on: March 07, 2015, 07:40:45 PM
I've posted in both threads and emailed.  I've still never hread anything about my admittedly small amout which they seem to have taken.  I don't have a lot of hope but I am making it public that these guys ran away with my money (presumably because I didn't log in during their 3 day immediate or nothing window).
2685  Other / Meta / Re: Activity & new membergroup limits on: March 07, 2015, 07:38:38 PM
Ha, that's a good point that I had never thought of.  If all of your posts were deleted or removed, activity would go to 0 I guess.

Taking the above into account this (bitmixer.io) seems much better than bit-x due to the following deal breakers for me:

1. Register to their site
2. Payout to the account rather than to your own address
3. Phone verification
4. Constantly keep checking account to see if u got paid and then having to transfer it out

I'd rather just keep posting as I do regularly and not worry about the above.. Occasionally I want to check my address to see if any payment received. Got a few surprises with bitmixer.io.. But hopefully they won't change rules so often..

Also, I'd like them to pay more for hero members Cheesy

Indeed, these are the main advantages of the bitmixer campaign (mainly: no bullshit, simple, ontime).  However, now that payments have skyrocketed elsewhere, I just had to switch over to make a little BTC for my trouble.

Ok, thanks old seals with clubs:

I have taken my change home just like you told me to Smiley

Yah, I was gonna mention that my tiny cashout hasn't been processed.  (Not that I'm worried about it).

I don't understand the cause of your bluster, ArmoredDoge.  Were you the one being sent unsolicited PMs?
2689  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CoinRPG! A Bitcoin RPG Game! on: March 07, 2015, 05:55:39 PM
Are you the new seller of this game?  I have to admit I thought this project was long abandonded.

1)  The windows .exe is all we have now.  IMO keep waiting and we'll have a linux version.  I'd love for the future to include the ability to use an API and build your own, but that's looking a bit too far in the future IMO.

2) Droid version should be 4-8 weeks away.  That may help the non-Windows crowd at bit.  Mac & Linux, we all want 'em ASAP, but given the circumstances 2 months wouldn't be terrible.

I'll be back in when you get android running.  Keep in mind that android is free software, you can download an android image (or source and compile tools) free of charge and you can literally own that OS.  By that latter point I mean that you are running GNU/Linux kernel and you can decide what happens on the CPU.

When you're giving out a windows .exe MS corp has the ROOT control of you OS so you have no hope for any security unless/except MS corp decides to give it to you.  Most likely, they are logging all your keystrokes (you have know way to knw that they aren't).

My point here is that while a desktop app for linux would be nice, simply having *any* version that works on a NON-compromised OS would be a huge step in the right direction.

Also, have to wonder why browser-based wasnt first priority.  Browser gives you a sandbox AND you get cross-platform access for free!

Looking forward to the android client!

You have a good point about the fee.  However, 1Ksat or something along those lines isn't very bad in the context of a payment that's at least in the mBTC range.  Removing withdrawal fees, were they do pay to PD accounts, I think would be important so that people don't feel messed with.
2692  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: March 07, 2015, 05:41:21 PM
I'd like to note that the nonce jumping problem is still prevalent.  I've been rolling a lot of "blank" bets today, which only show up after a page refresh.  I shouldn't have to refresh my browser just to make sure my bets are going through properly.  Can we at least get a confirmation that this is being looked into?  It wasn't even acknowledged when the bug was brought up earlier this week, and people are still scoring some unfair losses because of it.  I took a screenshot of an example...

Original string, with a "blank" bet in the middle:

Only after a refresh does the actual bet placed show up:

I've experienced this as well.  I agree that it would be nice to get a confirm that PD staff is working to fix it---or has at least created a ticket or something Smiley
2693  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Pizza for bitcoins? on: March 05, 2015, 05:27:00 AM
Given the length of this topic, I think it's time for someone to make the historical pizza price chart so we can see bitcoin price as a function of pizzas per xBTC.  No?  I know you guys can do it.
2694  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] (Staff Only) Earn Bitcoins Simply By Posting on: March 04, 2015, 10:34:53 PM
Yup, I'd be one of the people who was annoyed not to get paid to my own address.   However, as you said, the fact that I can make an account for free and withdrawal without fee (or verification procedures) certainly mitigates this.  Still, my feelings get a little wounded if I feel like someone is trying to manipulate me or take advantage of me (which is a feeling I get if they want to pay me in a way that feels like they're trying to get me to spend it right back to them).
2695  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 04, 2015, 10:32:31 PM
You dont even need to spend anything half the time you should be able to pick up sim cards for free with the phone companies looking to get you on their network.

It's not always as easy as that. Most sims in my country you need to top up to activate them and if you don't use them after x amount of time they get cut off. It's just a lot of extra hassle swapping your sim cards round just to verify something. I think they'd get a lot more peopel to their site if they removed this. Make it email verification or something.
It's possible they don't need more people. I see a lot of posters with their signatures on the forum, which means they don't have anything against sharing their number. Simple supply and demand. If people started leaving the campaign they'd be forced to drop the phone registration but at the moment they are doing fine.

Indeed, it seems to be working for them.  Apparently, me not wanting to join under these conditions makes me a kind of "paranoid" person.  However, since we paranoiders are so few, they are going to keep gathering info from the folks who give it to them.  As you said, if people would quit, they'd drop the requirement but since they don't have to, they obviously won't.
2696  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: March 04, 2015, 10:26:03 PM
I doubt they'll move back to a pay per activity scheme. It can't have been really worth it in advertisement for them. People just used to sign up with multiple accounts and then make next to zero posts and collect the money from it.

I guess there's some danger there.  However the multiple accounts all have to have some history or they wouldn't have the necessary activity points to get in.  And FWIW, old posts are still posts.  Especially stuff in the technical section can get googled at any moment so old posts with a sig ad are not invisible.

You may be right about the good-ol-days being gone, but I can still lament this, I think. Smiley
2697  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: March 04, 2015, 10:22:57 PM
Most sheeple, maybe.  But anyway, obviously this is my opinion.  For me it's a little bit ironic the combination of the "no dox/anonymity/freedom" ethos espoused by the team here and then a lock-in to a proprietary, non-free, spyware OS where some company has ROOT control of your computer and goodluck with any privacy.  I used to have so much fun on the old-seals so I'm also terribly butt-hurt by simply not being allowed to try out the new site.

Jesus, can we shut up about this already.  They were forced to switch to software still under development, in a hurry, under suboptimal conditions.  They say they will work on other platforms, and I'm sure they will, but it won't be instant.

I agree, if they don't want to install windows then they can still play by getting a cheap VPS and connect to it by RDP.

Ok, @Scilian, I think I'll go ahead and shutup about this when I can start playing again.  Until then, I've really got not motivation to "shut up" and every motivation to keep the issue in the forefront.

@wwwin: Lets say that I don't want to "install windows", you want me to buy a virtual windows server or something?  Isn't that even more of a lol than just installing a virtualization software locally?  That sounds absolutely crazy on two accounts: (1) who would pay to rent spyware that MS corp controls, ie Windows? That is, I'm kinda shocked that this even exists.  (2) You want me to rent Windows to play poker on seals with clubs?

2698  Economy / Services / Re: Up to 0.035 BTC weekly for YOUR SIGNATURE *New rules on: March 04, 2015, 09:56:30 PM
I love bitmixer.   I loved them a lot more when they didn't have minimum post counts and they simply paid based on activity (indicating that you have posted on the board but not forcing you to post to get paid).  In those days, their rates were understandably lower than folks who forced you to post.  But now that they've switched to the pay-per-post model I had to move on because their prices simply aren't competitive.  If you're going to do pay-per-post, you have to keep up with the market.  If you do pay-per-activity, then I think you can get away with a lower rate (honestly, I'd probably come back to bitmixer if they switched to pay-per-activity again).

I've gotten nothing from them so far, not even a reply to my polite email.  What a shame!  Glad I didn't have much funding on there.

I've been playing DT since btc was like 5$ a coin but I've still never gotten the codes for those "affiliate" statues or for the blue ones or whatever.  I dunno, teppy, can I have a code please?
Hey, do someone has by chance a blue soldier code? I'm interested if someone still have a chance for that Roll Eyes
Both BitTOCLic and Globe soldiers codes must be ut when creating chracter, hen creating new account, so they wouldbe useless to you guys anyways.

Right, unless we made new alt accounts to use the codes or something.  I guess I end up having fun just fine by depositing and sometimes I win sometimes I lose (usually I lose).  However, it would be nice to find some new codes.  I think teppy is busy with some other projects these days though and DT is a little on the back burner.
