I don't get it why there are 2 kinds of ads? Why Stunna is paying for this Singapore ad? It is an anti ad!

What do you mean? When I saw the ad and read it I actually thought it was trying to be negative against PD though. There are more existing places to visit ie other Dice sites  Grin. I think a signature campaign is probably more effect than forum ads. Stunna should put that mooney into a smaller signature campaign or something.
Anyone can disable the ability to view ones signature. However, most people cannot block these ads as they are resistant to adblocks, only VIP Hero/legendary member and moderator/admins can disable the viewing of ads. This is more effective definitely.

Anyone can turn off ads!
No they can't, only Hero+, Donator+ and staff+ can turn off forum ads. Everyone can turn off viewing signatures. Most ad blocking software is ineffective against blocking forum ads.

IMO signature advertising is more effective then forum advertising though. I would doubt that stunna would end up paying more then 6 BTC per week if he were to reopen his campaign. If he were to reopen his signature campaign, a lot of the earning would probably end up back at prime dice anyway

Ah I thought anyone could since I could, my mistake.

I agree with that, but if he limited the campaign and did a fixed rate deal he could get a decent amount of advertising for a budget of 5btc.

I agree with that, but if he limited the campaign and did a fixed rate deal he could get a decent amount of advertising for a budget of 5btc.
If he were to do a pay per post deal, and have a budget of 20 BTC per month (5 BTC per week) then, if he was paying .0012 for hero members, and only hero members joined, then he would get ~4,100 posts per week. This month there were roughly 300,000 new posts, or roughly 75,000 per week, so he would get roughly .5% of all posts, however I would say that even if they have the forum ads enabled, most of the time when people post, they will not even see the forum ad because they will scroll to the end of the thread because they have already read most of it (they are only looking at new posts).

A good amount of the new posts were likely in sections like games and rounds which stunna has said he will not pay for.

Additionally stunna would have the ability to encourage people to post in certain sections by adjusting the payment amount each post would be worth, verses having to pay for 'all' the impressions the forum gets.

I would also say that it would not be realistic to continue to be able to get 4 forum ad spots for only 6 BTC, that is usually closer to the price of less then two ad spots.

I went back a few pages, saw the banner ads for the forum, but I didn't find where Stunna has said something interesting.  Yet its obvious that something has happened,  can someone catch me up or quote the important post?

Well the "blocked" part is a fact, but I believe Stunna mentioned in the ads to catch your eyes.

He has been looking for suggestions to make their PrimeDice ads funny.

For reference to the above posts, Primedice did not block Singapore they blocked us under the RGA. Made for a decent advertisement as it seems as people are indeed talking about it.

If anyone has any ideas for some really funny ads post them here and we might use them in the future. Originally we had a few poking fun at the downtime we experienced last week (Primedice -- Now with 55% uptime!).

I think it would be good idea to reopen PrimeDice campaign and pay people with bitcoin directly to their PrimeDice accounts. This way people who will have money on PD account would likely play with it before withdrawing.

this is stunna's statement about this
perhaps in the future

Stunna are you still launching a sig campaign? cause I saw ad slot on the forum itself I`m sensing no? the one I saw wasnt a smear campaign about Singapore though.

Yeh we definitely want to give the signature campaign another shot. Just waiting on a few tools to be finished getting developed.

So they need to make the tool really perfect to prevent the campaigner abusing his campaign.

Some will some wont. Some people also don't like being forced to have the money sent to their accounts, though it's not a big deal in my opinion (especially since it's not an exchange you need to be verified on or whatnot). From a business perspective I think it makes sense to pay into accounts but that's up to stunna.

Yup, I'd be one of the people who was annoyed not to get paid to my own address.   However, as you said, the fact that I can make an account for free and withdrawal without fee (or verification procedures) certainly mitigates this.  Still, my feelings get a little wounded if I feel like someone is trying to manipulate me or take advantage of me (which is a feeling I get if they want to pay me in a way that feels like they're trying to get me to spend it right back to them).

I am for the balance being added directly to primedice accounts. It makes it easier for them (they can just add amounts in the database) and there is chance that some of us will gamble it away equals more profit for them  Grin

I'd look at it like if you wanted to gamble with your sig payment, you save on transaction fees you'd pay when you deposit bitcoin. Personally, I wouldn't mind that much as long as the payment would be increased by the amount it costs to withdraw the bitcoins. Or maybe just remove the withdrawal fee for 1 withdrawal each time you receive a sig payment.

You have a good point about the fee.  However, 1Ksat or something along those lines isn't very bad in the context of a payment that's at least in the mBTC range.  Removing withdrawal fees, were they do pay to PD accounts, I think would be important so that people don't feel messed with.

First I think some of the PD forum ads are funny and I hope they work for Stunna.

However, he just got shut out of the last round of ad auctions: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=968397.msg10697181#msg10697181

He bid for 3 spots at 2.65 coins each, which is a pretty substantial budget.  Maybe he'll shift some of that over to reviving this signature campaign.

I actually like the idea of him paying people's PD accounts.  Would mean they'd have to check in on the site at least once every payment period.  Slightly worse for his "employees" but better for him and he's liable to have no shortage of people who want to be a part of the campaign if he restarts it.

Obviously, they have abandon this project since they have kept for a long time.
Bit-X sig campaign is firing the forum, it would be fun if the PD re-open the campaign.
