congratulations for 1millionBTC wagered and thanks for asking our suggestion for giveaway promotion.I will say you want to do something big and memorable as your achievement give direct giveaway of any suitable amount you consider is good on this forum.

Maybe a special 1 time faucet draw.  You could say:

loyalty_reward=X*account_age+Y*account_wagered

Figure out a reasonable X and Y and then there ya go.  A nice present to everyone who's been around a long time, or wagered a lot, or both!
1682  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPoker.gg - High Stakes. High Rewards - Secure Bitcoin Poker on: May 20, 2015, 07:27:18 PM
I hadn't heard about this site until now... looks like it's been up a little while so that's a good sign. A couple things aren't clear though:

1) What is a "chip?" Is it 1mBTC or?
2) What's the minimum deposit, withdrawal, and withdrawal fee (if any)?

Actually all those things are clearly stated on the site, but let me answer it for you:
1) yes a chip is equal to 1mBTC (stated on FAQ and on Deposit menu) http://prntscr.com/7794lh
2) minimum deposit is 0.0005btc or 0.5chip http://prntscr.com/779599
minimum withdraw 20chips = 0.02btc http://prntscr.com/7795gi and as what I have experienced on withdrawal, there is no fee.

I don't have an account there, :p. So two of those I couldn't see regardless. I don't go around making random accounts on sites.

I do admit that #1 I skipped over (I didn't realize that the "Support" had a dropdown when I went to it).

ranlo, I hope you're going to go ahead and make an account there.  I know you used to play at sealswithclubs.  bitcoinpoker.gg is a legit site (I've deposited and withdrawn) but has very few players at the moment.  There are daily 25mBTC GTD tourneys but my favorite poker (drop in ring games) are usually empty.  This will change as more and more folks hear about this site.  It's a pokermavens based site so nothing fancy, but also no problems with Windows or .exe or issues like that.  I hope you'll give it a try.

Also, I'm hoping that we can set up a weekly ring-game meetup or something like that so that those of us who want to play can log in at the same time.
1683  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Generation Social Gambling Dice Experience on: May 20, 2015, 07:14:44 PM
Plus they are having a scammer represent them and paying a scammer to advertise for them. This only strengthens concerns that DaDice is in fact a scam. Why else would they hire a scammer to advertise for them if they were not planning on scamming themselves?

Sorry mate, if you don't mind can you shed some light on what this is all about - since I have no idea what you are talking about.

Thanks!

They are being allowed to participate in your signature campaign even though he received negative trust and is a scammer.
Refrence thread1 shows where the scammer had scammed. Refrence post1 shows how it is impossible for the scammer to make the conclusion that he did not in fact scam. Refrence thread2 is where the scammer attempted to bully me into removing the negative rating. Additionally he has been trolling me for well over a month now because of the negative rating that I left him.

As long as he is a paid representative/advertiser of your site I would personally consider your site to be untrustworthy.

We have already investigated into it. And I don't really think he should be removed from the campaign because of that singular issue you have mentioned.

The trust is not valid as per the current rules. And I don't think I am not the only one (nor dadice or other representatives/moderators of Da Dice) that say he shouldn't be allowed to participate in the campaign.

Dunno what that has to do with you trusting the site Huh

Anyway, lol, not feeling like arguing here.. Smiley

Edit: I get the impression that you are taking your personal opinion to such extent Huh
At this point he is literally getting paid by DaDice to troll me consistently. This is absolutely unacceptable regardless of if he is a scammer. It is not my fault that I found out that he scammed and there is no reason why I should be subject to such trolling. Every time that a trolling post is made, it is paid for by DaDice, and every time someone reads it, everyone will see a DaDice advertisement under it.

All scammers will receive negative trust after one incident of scamming and most scammers can only scam once because once they do they receive a trade with extreme caution tag.

If DaDice is willing to pay for someone to troll someone then I can only imagine what other unethical things they would be willing to do.

@Quickseller, the level of obnoxious irony of your new flame-attack against dadice is astounding.  You accuse others of trolling, but here you are posting again and again in the thread of a reputable dice site (one you happily advertized for yourself), trying to say that they are untrustworthy because the do business with someone you have decided is a scammer.  Jesus, man, the fact that you actually have to have evidence for these kinds of accusations is probably why you were removed from default trust in the first place.  Now that you've been removed you're going to come here and start shaking your fist in the air?  All the while posting with a paid sig-ad and complaining that someone else posted negatively about you with a paid-sig-ad?  Despite your behavior here, I sorta doubt that we're gonna see dadice or nhndc go into the bit-x thread and start shouting about "working with flame-troll QS is causing unreliability!"

We all know what happened with you.  You showed promise as an upstanding member of the community, you were good at reading through blockchain evidence and you spent your life on the forum looking for shady posts from newbies and calling them out.  The problem is that you got caught up in your own importance and hubris has brought you down.  It's not an uncommon human story (see Greek mythology 101). Badbear promoted you to default trust, but you couldn't take it when someone called you out for your hot temper and irrascibility.  So you started using your default trust abilities to ding everyone and anyone who showed you anything but ass-kissing.  You got away with it for a while but eventually you alienated yourself and got yourself removed from power.  The question now is how far are you gonna go with this scorched-earth mentality?  Even now, if you gave up on the insanity, realized that you can be wrong sometimes, and went back to attempting to provide something positive to the community you might avoid going down completely in flames.  I think that's the path you should take, but then again, you won't hear anything from me because you've decided I am the evil you tread under your feet or whatever.
1684  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: This 1Bn9Re... is a SCAM on: May 20, 2015, 02:12:43 AM
If I understand you, you're saying that when you downloaded and installed a wallet program you tried to create a new address but you got this one instead:

https://blockchain.info/address/1Bn9ReEocMG1WEW1qYjuDrdFzEFFDCq43F

As you saying that the particular app on the google play is actually a malware which gives people compromised addresses?  If so, you should probably try to report it on the play store.  If this is the case, you can't be the only one who has experienced this.  Are you sure you got the app signed by blockchain.info and not some look-a-like one?
1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the situation with Doge on: May 20, 2015, 12:56:39 AM
Isn't there something doge where it will never cease to produce more and more coins faster and faster, or somerthing like that?
Quite the opposite.
Doge inflation will be lower and lower and in the long run will strive towards zero but never reach it (maybe in real terms when factoring in lost Dogecoin).
This year Dogecoin inflation will be ~5%, the year thereafter 4.76% etc.

As of now the Dogecoin inflation formula is:
5/(100+5*(x))
Where x is the number of years from now. So in 6 years the Dogecoin inflation is around ~3.8%

I think out of the top 10 crypto-currencies, Dogecoin probably has one of the lowest inflation rates at the moment. Most coins have far bigger supplies that are about to be released.

Thanks for the straight-up info, Foerster.  So, if I understand you correctly, the number of doge to be produced is non-finite, but the number of coins created per year asymptotically approaches 0?  Is DOGE one of the POS/POW hybrids?  Above people were calling it a litecoin clone with a dog logo, but I don't think litecoin has any staking, does it?
1686  Other / Meta / Re: Leave the trust system as is but remove trust scores on: May 19, 2015, 10:02:32 PM
Just a random thought. Leave the trust system as it is, but remove the trust scores shown on the profile etc. To evaluate someones trustworthiness, users should open their trust page, review the feedback and evaluate the users trustworthiness for themselves.

So no more red warnings. What do you guys think? good idea/bad idea? will it stop "abuse" of the trust system? will people take the time to manually review trust before trading?

I proposed that a long while ago. I agree, people rely way too heavily on the green or red numbers, when they should really be reading feedback on a case by case basis.

Remove all levels of trust  or default trust.

Everyone same level.

Free for all let the market determine the value of red marks not just a few people hand picked.

I would be all for this as well, if you could figure out a way to prevent trust spam by people with hundreds of alts. Absolutely no weight would make the trust system as useful as forum polls. I'd actually be for seeing what would happen if default trust was removed, and people were forced to create their own trust lists right now. The system has been around long enough that people should know how to make it work best, but I feel that not much would change, people would still rely on a trust system built by a couple of well known members.

About the bolded, me too!   A softer alternative might be to keep the default trust list around, but make it an opt-in.  So, a new user has a blank trust list, but when you got to your trust settings you see some info about how to add "DefaultTrust" if you want a starter list and don't want to make your own.

@OP, a similar idea, which I proposed in another thread, was to not remove the "scores" or the warning, but to change the text to something more descriptive.  Right now, it's the inflammatory "Warning...Extreme Caution".  But what if it said "This person has received negative feedback from someone in your trust list.  If the latter was implemented, people who don't know how the system works might react "huh, my trust list?" and then figure out that they have a trust list that they can edit and investigate.  As things stand, "Warning..." it looks like a message from God or something, not like something that has to do with your own settings.
1687  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinPoker.gg - High Stakes. High Rewards - Secure Bitcoin Poker on: May 19, 2015, 09:15:23 PM
Just an FYI to everyone that I processed another withdrawl on this site yesterday and all went smoothly.  Thanks, bitcoinpoker.gg.  I hope more folks join the fun soon!  I think it's a great site with a smooth layout.
1688  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 19, 2015, 09:12:14 PM
Yes there really should be an OP that can just lock or delete topics which are no longer valid. This swearing is pointless and not leading to anywhere. So its best to just move on.
Seems the OP hasn't been online since March, perhaps Micon can just request an admin to lock the thread and continue all discussion on the new SWC thread.

Exactly what I was asking for above.
1689  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: May 19, 2015, 07:37:30 PM
I still think it's sad/weird to allow this old, once-dead, thread on sealswithclubs (now defunct) to degrade into a discussion about the problems they had with collusion.  Yes, they had issues.  In part that was because they did a very open, no-dox, allow anyone to play sorta site.  As far as I know they took some steps to try to fix this but weren't entirely successful.  Nultidah personally thinks Micon should burn in hell or something because of this.  Maybe we can leave it at that?

Another Evil Bullshit Apologist.

So what was in it for you? I can't help but notice your negative reputation.

Did you also get a cut defending cheaters? Otherwise, why bother make yourself known?

Hey, angerbot, I'm not an evil apologist but I can't understand the point of you trolling this once-dead thread about a now-defunct site for some situation where you feel they didn't do a good enough job.  The least you can do is troll the proper thread, right?  I don't know what you mean by "make myself known", I merely expressed that perhaps now that you've gotten your hate for Micon off your chest, we can go ahead and move on to more current affairs in more current threads.

Funny you bring up my "negative reputation".  One look at your trust page suggests this is something like the pot calling the kettle black.
1690  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Compiling Bitcoin Client on: May 19, 2015, 07:32:53 PM
Note, if your bitcoin instance is publically accessible then you don't want to be giving out the rpc password like this.  Otherwise, once you get the thing running, anyone can use that rpcpassword to send your bitcoins somewhere else.

As to why you get no reply from `which bitcoin-cli', it means that you don't have that executable on your $PATH.  This may be because you are building an old version of the software, iirc, bitcoin-cli superceded bitcoind.  So the fact that you have bitcoind but not bitcoin-cli seems to suggest that you built an older version before there was a bitcoin-cli command.

If I were you, I'd cut-n-paste your terminal session into your replies to this thread so that people with a lot of knowledge at reading command line sessions can help see something you might miss.

For the moment, it's possible that you made a mistake creating bitcoin.conf, perhaps you didn't put it in the right place, or perhaps you've got pemissions wrong.  Why not run "ls -la /path/to/bitcoin.conf" and show us the output so that we can see that your permissions are correct.

Finally, it seems strange that you're saying your an "bitcoind" with no args but then you're getting back a message about running it with the -server  option.  This is why it's valuable to actually cut-n-paste the terminal session (but redact passwords) when you want help, those little details that you might not think matter may end up being the difference.
1691  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MRKLYE is a scammer, scammed 20 BTC and yet has GREEN trust, FIX! on: May 19, 2015, 07:18:38 PM
Went and looked, I'm on default trust, depth 2. The standard I'm guessing.
No, you're not. Why would that be a standard?
You're not on the default trust list. That is just more evidence of your badly set up trust settings.

I never change my trust setting and I saw mrklye has green light on his trust.

1:-4/+3(3)

It is very strange, this is my trust list:

~Vod
DefaultTrust
~EAL

and this is the trust score of  MRKLYE :  -5: - 4/ +3(3)

Yah, mine's now also -5, I think this is explained by the fact that Blazr deleted and reset his negative.  MZ posted the forumula that shows how the rating "decay" over time.
1692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: How i make full node on latest rasberry or C.H.I.P? on: May 19, 2015, 05:19:54 PM
Most of people will not install the full node when the block size increased.

FWIW, I think most of the people are not running a full node even today.  But this thread is about running a full node on a small soc computer.  Is that something you've tried?  Note: I have thought about it, and I have a pi (but not the pi 2) and I decided against it.
1693  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MRKLYE is a scammer, scammed 20 BTC and yet has GREEN trust, FIX! on: May 19, 2015, 04:24:53 PM

You're not on the default trust list. That is just more evidence of your badly set up trust settings.

I think by "I'm on default trust" he meant "my trust list is just default trust".  "I'm on X" can mean "I have setting X", or that's what I understood him to be saying.

FWIW, I also see him as +1 (green)/-4 (yellow) +3/(3), my trust settings are:

Default Trust
~Vod
~Quickseller

(depth=2)

Looks like I have 7 "trusted feedbacks for him": 4 negatives from tomatocage, Blazr, dooglus, malevolent.  Then it looks like blazed out, bayareacoins, and dooglus left either positves (or neutrals, what's the difference?).  So I don't know why that adds up to a green +1.

1694  Other / Meta / Re: Why is the forum loading so slow? on: May 19, 2015, 04:17:20 PM
I've also experienced this (although it seems fine for me now).  Certain weeks it will take between 20-30 seconds to load a page (or the connection even times out before the page fully loads), then the issue goes away.  I don't have any answers, and I figured it was just my ISP, but since others are reporting this too, I just wanted to add my name to the list of affected users.
1695  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller = BadBear, he removed his DefaultTrust on purpose on: May 19, 2015, 04:05:43 PM
I think these kinds of threads are a pretty good example as to show just how much I have done to scammers.

^^^ Found the daily quickseller masterbation post!

Love it!

Yup, welcome back ndnhc!  Just in time for some countin fun!  (I'm excited bout it, think I'm gonna get my LP bonus this week!)

Follow up here, out of curiosity, is there any rollover on LP.  As in, if I have 90 but I score 20 this week, I get the bonus for LP, then next week do I have 0 or do I have 10?

Oh, so you disagree with me now? Negative trust left. LOL, just kidding, you are not a scammer haha.
Love how, as usual, QS talks as if he and only he has access to absolute and final information on who is/is not a scammer.  However, the real explanation for his unusal deference and jolliness comes in the next paragraph.
Quote

I am fairly certain that you were somewhat disagreeing with my actions when I added you to my trust list (prior to BadBear adding you back into his). Although I have hopefully addressed all of your concerns in this post, as of now you are publicly disagreeing with me, yet your name still remains in my trust list (because I still respect your trust opinions enough for you to remain there). I do not anticipate removing, nor excluding you from my trust list in the near future. You can make your own conclusion about this.

Yup, QS recognizes that TBZ is at or above his own power level.  Those above or equal to him, he uses the phrase "LOL, just kidding" in a jolly and fun way.   Offers strangely deferential language when referrring to his boss' trust of someone.  To others who disagree with him, those who aren't in his power-list, disagreeing brings out his signature phrase 'you are an idiot', and if you continue to do anthing other than bow down, you get neg-repped (potentially from multiple accounts).  Turns out, TBZ, you're in the immune class.  I didn't know it when I wrote above to watch out for the neg-rep.
1699  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: May 19, 2015, 07:46:47 AM
Huge happy hour faucet is pretty awesome.  11K satoshi?  very nice and entertaining to play out some quick sims and try different strategies.  Really having a lot of fun with it.

So far, nothing really earth shattering but it's fun to quickly double 11K to 22K and more when we're lucky :-)

Thank you!!!

Is that going on right now?  Did we miss it?

Really think it's a shame that it's just a facebook thing.  What about the non-spied-upon amongst us?
1700  Other / Meta / Re: Should a new section be added for trust disputes? on: May 19, 2015, 05:21:52 AM
Who determines what is or isn't meta?

Have to agree need a section for dispute RESOLUTION not a section for complaints.

Well, the forum administrators long ago. Meta: Discussion about the Bitcoin Forum

It would be appropriate to discuss the trust system in general in Meta, but for individual disputes, I think a separate section would be for the best. Scam accusations get their own section for person vs. person disputes, but Meta is appropriate for discussion about Scams in relation to the forum itself. Same concept.

It doesn't seem like a bad idea.  And, imo, things like "X is trying to screw my by giving me negative trust" aren't really the same as "how do I sort my search results by icon?".  Ie, software and other meta items seem pretty distinct from issues with the trust rangers.
