Do not forget we still have our 3mBTC Hourly freerolls going on. Come join us!
its nice to see freerolls her though people might start abusing it and play only free games

That's actually what's happening right now. But that's normal. You need to giveaway a lot of free chips, in form of freerolls, to attract new players. Hopefully with time user-base will grow and more people will start playing rake games.

The site could use some more promo though, or maybe referral program?

Tip, if you want to play ring game, but there's no-one there, just ask around in the general chat (under 'logins' tab) or in active freeroll chat, often helps.

Yup, I've had good success with this, sit down at the ring game table then shout it out in the main chat that I'm there looking for some action.  Too bad it's almost always heads-up (but as was said above, hopefully this will be changing).

These are cute names (actually I don't understand how a "chain" is clammy)

www.youtube.com/watch?v=giVMOdMTUNM

lol don't kill me

I guess I appreciate the effort, but I'm in a library with no headphones so videos aren't going to cut it Smiley  Let me know if there's a succinct-textual answer somewhere.  FWIW, I can try to watch videos later on at home.

Here's a slightly off-topic rant: do you guys ever get annoyed when you're looking for some simple answer to a question and the only thing you can find are videos that you know are going to have a rambly introduction and no way to search on the page for exactly what you're looking for (because it isn't a page!) etc?  Ok, end of my rant!

Heya, I'm so curious about the funny codes in the rightmost column of the count sheet.  Some are numbers, 10, 9, 8, etc.  Some are letters "K", "W".  You have piqued my curiousity!
1864  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Pearl on: May 05, 2015, 07:54:30 PM
I see in the thread topic "proof-of-chain", "proof-of-pearl".  These are cute names (actually I don't understand how a "chain" is clammy), but I ask myself, are these simply renamed "proof-of-work", "proof-of-stake", or is there something more that I should understand?

Stole your state of the mind artwork. Bummer!

Slow down, take a deep breath, and see if you can somehow string a sentence together. It's worth the effort because then maybe people will understand whatever it is you are trying to communicate with us.

I doubt people fall for those kind of application downloads or exe downloads. Even if something like that existed, primedice would shutdown the site the instant they find out something like that.

If people didn't fall for it he wouldn't keep posting that link. It has been going on for months now. You're underestimating just how dumb some people are.

Apparently that malware steals usernames/passwords of all social media accounts as well. If someone finds a way to cheat PD, it's important to realize that they would never publicly share it. If it sounds too good to be true...

In other news we've hit 5B bets. There is a giveaway going on @ facebook.com/officialprimedice

its sad to see that you have to be a fb user to be able to participate in this

I agree, I've missed almost all the good primedice promos because I stay away from the spy-sites like facebook.

Does this address make it into the hall...??

Pretty cute but it seems borderline to me for hall of fame.  Definitely a good one, but I don't know if it's top 10.  Smiley
but theres no such type address and its unique i think the thread owner should add it

Kinda too bad that there's no 0 in bitcoin base58 encoding, it would be nice to have a 0 after that 9 Smiley

Interesting , So these account farmers really go to that much trouble of making new accounts and posting every 14 days ?
To think that QS is one of those Undecided

Who has marked a lot of accounts with a negative trust feedback in january, for "running a ponzi"?
Who has marked in the same way accounts and called them "scammer" of the loaning section of the forum?
How did he found out this all?

For me it's no wonder, now i see a lot a of farmed accounts are posting in the gambling section of the forum! (On a other thread where QS escrowed a scam signatur campaign for a scam ponzi website, i wrote there already "loaning and gambling go hand in hand, they profit from each other")

here more of the farmed accounts with this structure of post activity and the same BTC address:

Interesting detective work man, I wonder how many of these are being farmed by Quickseller/ACCTSeller.  Hopefully the mods are doing nukes on these accounts as this kind of behavior is clearly spam.

Hi, what about mac client ?  Smiley
Even if Micon leaves the team, I am guessing the rest of the teach team will still work on that. Anyways the priority for development should be more for the online client to cater to everyone.

Hopefully this is true (I can't imagine why it wouldn't be).  Also, hopefully the order is still Android client coming out next.  Smiley

Yes, from what I've seen the Android client is still due up next.

Glitch said last night that it is being worked on, although still in early stages.

Yaay!  My life is about to get back on track!  Smiley
1869  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: May 05, 2015, 07:08:55 PM
Tried putting the regex in a file and providing it with the -f option, but vanitygen just returned immediately
You still need -r as well, e.g.: vanitygen64 -r -f regex.lst

Cool, will try this when I get back to the computer I was using yesterday.  Thanks TheRealSteve!

It's great that you love talking about me so much as well - it's cute too.  And no but!   Smiley

You just like to "read your own posts" and want to "win" as you always do.

Flame war isn't really appropriate here folks.  I know that tecshare has had issue with default trust but I don't understand all the history.  I opened this thread before I ended up on the wrong end of a smear attack by quickseller.  But this isn't the place to discuss individual instances of trust abuse, here we're discussing ways to have less drama in meta and a cleaner and more understandable trust system.  Vod, what do you think of the suggestinos in the OP?
1871  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller Gave me a negative trust Without Considering any possibility on: May 05, 2015, 07:04:06 PM
Hey, thanks MZ, is this somewhere in the trust thread and I didn't see it?  How did you know this?

Theymos posted it somewhere, but I don't remember the link.

Actually I found it - it's right here in this thread.  Smiley

He actually responded to that exact quote, the response was several days after theymos had posted that statement.  Roll Eyes

LOL!  I didn't catch that either, because I modified my quote to not show it.

I even spent 10 minutes searching google.   Undecided

Above is the post where he replied. I personally wouldn't spend any time searching for answers for that person, I have had him tagged as a spammer for a long time and I doubt he has any actual interest in the answer to any questions he asks.

I personally have also had much better luck in finding things with the forum search as it allows you to search specific threads and specific subs.

Lol, I love the god-like voice he uses.  I have spoken therefore->TRUE.

You have trolled me and tagged me with all kinds of lies (and using multiple accounts) but that doesn't make them true.  I have tagged you as a hothead with a god-complex.  Take note everyone, tspacepilot has spoken therefore->TRUE!
1872  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller accuses me without proof!? on: May 05, 2015, 06:59:39 PM
Thats not exactly what happened with him. He agreed to an escrow, but didn't want to agree to the terms of the escrow(once QS sent him his terms) , and once he refused, QS wasn't able to get his 2$, so Quickselller neg repped him, and put in the excuse that he did so , to know the account details from the password change log.

Thought that we have moved on from this case? Truth is, the person send Quickseller his own term which is unsafe term according to Quickseller then Quickseller sent his own term which is much more safer for both party, but the person denied, Quickseller than gave him negative trust because the behaviour of rejecting a safe term for both party is a scammy behaviour. Period.

P.S : $2 is not much and you couldnt almost get anything nowadays with that amount

Is not trading at all scammy behavior "Period"?  Because it seems like that's exactly what happened.  No trade went down because people couldn't agree on terms.  QS negreps because he can do so with no consequence to people who are "below" him.

1874  Other / Meta / Re: Selling Bitcointalk Trust - which subforum to use? on: May 05, 2015, 06:55:15 PM
I asked him how much he was charging, however he refused to answer, and is more evidence that he was trolling as opposed to actually selling trust.

I guess I'm not completely surprised that you can't seem to see that satire is a form of argumentation which is not equavalent to trolling.

Quote
The fact that trust is being defacto traded via various services makes the decision to leave positive trust for someone a much more complex question then it should be. If I had left positive trust for everyone that I provided escrow services to, on every occasion that I escrowed for them then a number of people who I personally find sketchy would show as having significant amounts of positive trust because of me which is not something I want.

I'm curious if you've ever actually left positive trust for anyone who you didn't see as more powerful than you in some way or another.  You've revealed yourself many times as the kind of person who steps on people who you see as below you while kissing the asses of people you see as above you.  Anywhoo....

@Salty, your post seems to boil down to an observation that the system is irrational and we have this system because people have tolerated it.  That's certainly true, but highlighting the irrationality of this (as OP does) is one step towards making a better system, IMO.
1875  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Vanitygen: Vanity bitcoin address generator/miner [v0.22] on: May 04, 2015, 09:44:00 PM
What's the syntax for vanity gen regexes?  That is, do I have to escape + and | (like in sed) or not (like in perl)?  What are my grouping characters, and do I have to escape them?  Finally, can I put my regex in a file?  Do I have to quote it?

Imagine I want this language: /1(a|b|c)+/, ie:  "1a,1aa,1aaa,...,1b,1bb,1bbb,...,1c,1cc,1ccc,...,1ab,1aab,...1abcbca,...".

I'm not sure about +, but you'll need to escape | (vertical pipe) as your shell will interpret it as a directive to hook up vanitygen's standard out to whatever follows the pipe. You could always try quoting it.

Right, but if I put it in a file then I wouldn't have the shell escaping problem.  I guess you have a point about using the empirical approach here (I just thought someone might know off hand so it was worth asking). Smiley

EDIT:

Tried putting the regex in a file and providing it with the -f option, but vanitygen just returned immediately with exit status 1:

Code:
tspacepilot@god:~/src/vanitygen$ ./vanitygen -f pattern
tspacepilot@god:~/src/vanitygen$ echo $?
1

Then I tried catting the file and I got an error back about too long an arg list (which is weird because my file doesn't have any spaces)

Code:
tspacepilot@god:~/src/vanitygen$ ./vanitygen -r `cat pattern`
bash: ./vanitygen: Argument list too long

Guess I'm pushing things here.
1876  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Silver Wallet - You pick! on: May 04, 2015, 09:42:39 PM
Well if you already have a gold why not grab an all silver?

I guess I'm thinking that if I already have a gold wallet and I win this auction then it's necessarily a better idea to take another gold one and then sell it and buy an all silver at a profit.  But maybe I'm overestimating the value difference between the two coins Smiley

I think it's not just about dumbness.  It's something about the result of human greed getting into competition with carefulness (alongside the fact that how computers and math works is rather obscure (even for very non-dumb people)).  In any case, hopefully these are the kinds of lessons that people only have to learn once (that is, if you really download and install some random software promising a get-rich quick solution onto a windows computer and you get bit in the ass, hopefully you'll never do it again).

FYI, in the topic name in the OP, the first horse character seems malformed: "💥BitHorse" but in other posts it looks pretty good so I know it's not just that I'm missing a glyph.  I'm thinking there must just be a typo in that OP.  If you edit it, then your thread name will look better on the board.  Cheers!
