You give a prediction buy you give no reason for the prediction to come true, why people are going to begin to use DASH so much that is going to reach a parity with bitcoin, is the price of bitcoin going to go down or DASH is going to skyrocket?
Here is the why : Altcoin Adoption Surging as Bitcoin Rallies https://www.crypto-news.net/altcoin-adoption-surging-as-bitcoin-rallies/A closer look at Dash’s growth reveals that it is usually a parallel option to Bitcoin in the crypto space. Notably, most Bitcoin ATMs also offer Dash, and most crypto payment systems are quickly implementing altcoin capabilities, with Dash as a key Bitcoin alternative. Given that Dash is designed specifically as a currency, and that it has many features Bitcoin lacks (such as scalability and anonymity), it should be considered a major competitor to Bitcoin, despite its much smaller market cap and fiat value. Dash has much lower fees (even lower fees after next update), has 4x Bitcoin capacity with regards to how many transactions it can handle (with Dash upgrading its blocksize from 1MB to 2MB with next update, that will be 8x Bitcoin capacity), Dash has optional instant confirmation times for its transactions and has a focus to be used mainstream as a currency, unlike Bitcoin that is just used as a store of value these days. I think after Dash Evolution comes out (mid 2018), more and more merchants and users will switch to Dash because of its low fees, merchant and user friendlyness and Dash focus to function as a currency. The time in between will be a highly speculative period, and with Dash coming out of a longterm downtrend could be interesting to follow.

I crave for attention The only thing that is excruciating here is the butthurt you're experiencing every single day the price of Dash remains 20+ fold of what it was at the beginning of this year, despite your mockumental efforts to the contrary. You lost and you're losing with every new Dash wallet being installed and you can't do jack shit about it, that's why you're so obsessed with this project. I relish in your failure even more than I relish in my "instamine profits" LOL Except the prices in this market are measured versus the ratio of bitcoin price, I see the low price for this year was 0.012, the price is not 20+ fold from the low of this year. Bragging about fiat gains when dash is down a lot recently versus BTC (just like the rest of the altcoin market) is quite silly Yeah, Dash was $11 at the start of this year and is currently priced at $272 Very silly indeed, why on earth would anyone brag about that ? Here is something even more silly : Dash has a lot of Fiat / Dash pairs and can therefore not be solely measured versus the ratio of bitcoin price. Even Coindesk in one of their rare articles about Dash, measures the Dash price in USD --> https://www.coindesk.com/the-45-dollar-question-dash-whats-going-on/Personally i rather measure the Dash price in Euro....

Didn't find anything better for windows there..
Well, if you are only interested in a windows wallet then yes, that is all there is. You are the first one though, that i see comparing it to windows 98.... (which is fine by the way, we all are entitled to our own opinion). The universe is transformation: life is opinion. - Marcus Aurelius Edit 1 : by the way, there is an option to use a different theme from within that windows wallet. Edit 2 : actually, there are third party wallets like Exodus and Jaxx (both can be found in my previously provided link), that do support windows

Reading through this thread is really strange. So much money in just a few years. I feel like there was a different tone/attitude here in 2013/2014 from what I read. Wish I would have known, the ole regret. Cool to see though.
Did dash have a premine? The OP years ago says no and the darkcoin OP said no, but others say yes? I am confused.
Dash did not have a premine, as it was never mined before public launch. That is why there is no premine symbol on the coinmarketcap website with regards to Dash. Dash does have an instamine history, which you can read about here -> https://dashpay.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/OC/pages/19759164/Dash+Instamine+Issue+ClarificationBut frankly thats old, very old news (as it happened more then 3 years ago and is and has always been public knowledge). Anyways, anyone who still claims today that Dash was premined either does not know the definition of the word premine or just wants to have Dash pressed firmly in the premine corner. Either way they loose credibility stating that.

Hello !
Mining DASH with ASICs is very difficult today because of the big increase of the difficulty... is there any plan to upgrade the reward for DASH mining soon of to decrease the difficulty like they did for ETH recently ?
Thank you for your answer
No plan. Did Bitcoin have a plan to upgrade the reward for Bitcoin mining or to decrease the difficulty when it switched to ASIC mining and got a massive increase in their mining difficulty? No. It is an adapt and survive mentality in the mining world, a battle of the fittest (or a battle of the strongest and most energy efficient in this case). There is a plan/concept about changing our proof of work model to keep ASIC miners in check and to subcontract the mining through masternodes but that is for far after Dash Evolution, and is currently not included on the Dash roadmap ( https://github.com/dashpay/dash-roadmap).

Well, technically the bug was not shutting the masternodes down, it just caused masternodes to fail to vote on a watchdog object. Dash 12.2 will not have watchdogs anymore, they are deprecated (quote from flare). Although if people wait too long with implementing this hotfix, they could be forced out of the masternodes payment list and then need to start from cold wallet again. Luckily most masternode owners responded very fast and implemented the hotfix within a few hours.

Is there an issue with the Dash masternodes?
Masternode crashed last week after 3 days. Restarted it on day 4 it now says:
masternode visible (local) : NO masternode queue/count : 0/0 dashd version : 0.12.1.5 dashd up-to-date : YES dashd running : YES dashd uptime : 4 days, 09 hours, 08 mins, 22 secs dashd responding (rpc) : YES dashd listening (ip) : YES dashd connecting (peers) : YES dashd port open : YES dashd connection count : 56 dashd blocks synced : YES last block (local dashd) : 764592 (chainz) : 764592 (dash.org) : 764592 (dashwhale) : 764591 (masternode.me) : 764592 - no forks detected dashd current difficulty : 20289626.32515224 masternode started : YES masternode visible (local) : NO masternode visible (ninja) : YES masternode queue/count : 0/0 masternode mnsync state : MASTERNODE_SYNC_FINISHED masternode network state :
This seems wrong. It worked fine for 5-6 weeks before.
Did you do a git pull of sentinel in order to apply the sentinel hotfix ? Link : https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/masternode-operators-sentinel-hotfix-action-required.17568/
