Thank you so much for the precious warning emphasizes on security of DASH coins for investors.
Threats are always abundantly on Internet space, especially in crypto.
Therefore, it is always good to secure digital asset with hardware wallets or protections for reliable antivirus/ Internet security softwares from famous and reliable providers.
Dash MNO or just Hodler, anything above 100US$ in Crypto really should be on a HardWare Wallet !
Hacks are real and are happening all the time.
PLEASE use a TREZOR, KeepKey, Ledger ....
Be your own Bank !!

Dash has a better innovation, it seems the team's performance is very solid and this will add more valuable and more popular Dash. Incredible developments and certainly will continue to grow to get many investors. Could Dash be able to shift other altcoins and become the second position after bitcoin?

Well, that is certainly an interesting question. Ultimately i think there will only be a few select crypto projects out there that will have use cases that the market will classify as essential and valuable and grant larger marketcap.
Some of these crypto projects are more suitable as store of value (Bitcoin), while others are more suitable as utility (Ethereum) or to be used as actual currency / digital cash (Dash).

With Thread, you have explained what is DASH. But do you have a general summary? Why should we buy DASH? What does DASH expect in the future? What does it promise in economic and real life for us?

General summary : Dash is a cryptocurrency with a focus on instant, low cost and secure transactions that can be used by anyone.
Dash wants to function as an actual currency, so it can be used as digital cash on a global level. Dash tries to achieve this by keeping
its transactions cheap, fast, user-friendly, upscalable and with optional privacy. Dash has a decentralized budget and governance system
in place which allows it to move into a certain direction without much distraction as the network can easily be polled when questions arise
(questions like which way to go, what projects to fund, what kind of marketing Dash needs, what kind of PR it wants).

Why should you buy Dash : Dash has build a reputation of actually delivering what it set out to do and is actively expanding its use cases
from functioning just as a privacy coin to functioning as digital cash with optional privacy. Dash is gaining traction and adoption in
Latin America (Venezuela, Colombia) where people are using cryptocurrency more and more in their daily lives to buy food or products
and services because their traditional fiat system is letting them down. When demand is rising and supply is limited the economic aspect
will start to take over at some point (price will start to rise). Dash circulating supply is low (8,7 million Dash), more than half of it is in
hands of longterm investors (masternode owners) and its deflational by nature (annual there is a reduction of its blockrewards of -7.1 %).
Dash is an excellent investment to keep longterm or can easily be used as digital cash.

What does Dash exspect in the future : Dash is working on a large update named Dash Evolution, where it is actively developing and offering
additional services that can run on top of its network. Services like decentralized apps (dapps), decentralized api (dapi), blockchain usernames
which you can search for and add on a decentralized friend list and Dashdrive where metadata can be stored on its network.
This should greatly increase number of users, number of transactions and makes it far more easy for merchants to
integrate and support Dash.

What does Dash promise in economic and real life : a cryptocurrency that can act as digital cash to buy products and services
and an excellent longterm investment.

1765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is DASH still a good long term viable project? on: March 04, 2019, 09:34:46 AM
bitcoin or ethereum is a better alternate for dash in these days. this is because when bitcoin fall 1, the other altcoins fall 2. or when bitcoin rises 2, other coins rise 1. so bitcoin is better than dash

Actually i would describe it as when Bitcoin fall all other Altcoins fall too but fall a bit harder and when Bitcoin rise all other Altcoins rise too but rise in general a bit higher.
So there is a bit more risk & more reward to Altcoins.

Ethereum performs the same as any altcoin in that regard, its not like Ethereum is moving totally independently from Bitcoin. When Bitcoin falls, Ethereum falls a bit harder :

So it seems that you just have a preference of Ethereum over Dash as altcoin, which is fine .. we all have our own preferences.

The founder of Seoul Bitcoin meetup, Ruben Somsen just posted a series of tweets on his account about Ledger security issues.

He claimed to have gathered info about the bugs on Ledger that could “send away ALL funds from ALL your accounts, with NO warning from the device”.

Somsen started by suggesting all Ledger users to update to the latest version of v1.5.5 that contained “critical security fix on the Bitcoin app”.

I'm not sure if these severe bugs also impact the Dash app on the Ledger Nano S hardware wallet (only the Bitcoin app is mentioned), but better be safe then sorry.

for purchasing and selling cryptocurrencies, which is the lowest rate in Brazil.

1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DASH public fork possible? on: March 01, 2019, 02:27:40 PM
So my secound thread about DASH

I wonder how many percent of transaction are anoymous. Maybe 10%.

For 10% of users DASH takes the risk to be forbidden as security token in several countrys (look at Monero).

I know DASH has a voting system from Masternode but I wonder if in last time there was a vote about that.

So maybe it would be a good idea to make (again)  a voting about that. And if DASH masternode users dont want maybe there should be a fork a certain block height like BCH.

Perhaps you ask what is left then? A payment system can send wourldwide within 3 sec.

Whats your idea about that?

Sure its possible, there have been a few direct forks of Dash i think (PIVX for example is forked from Dash). Problem with the public fork of Dash that you want is that you want to disable
the optional privacy part of Dash, when Dash already has no problems integrating merchants and users and is well represented on exchanges (one exchange in Japan excluded).

This means that it will be extremely difficult to get users from the original Dash community to follow you to your fork and you will basicly start from scratch in a cryptomarkt that is overfilled
with cryptoprojects already. I just dont see much interest for it when Dash with its optional privacy is doing so well.

Also Dash does not run the risk of getting classified as security token, i'm not sure where you got that from.

Dash is not being marketed as an investment and there is no enterprise selling it, so there is no way it can be considered a security using the criteria in the Howey test.

Dash simply does not match all the criteria in the Howey test. There is no expectation of profit coming from the efforts of others making DASH very unlikely to be considered a security.
Even bitcoin fall in this category (not security). This statement lays out four main criteria for an asset to be defined as a security:

It must be an investment of money
The money must be held in a common enterprise
There must be an expectation of profit
The profits must come solely from the efforts of others

Hell, even Ethereum is not regnoniced as security by the SEC and they had a pretty large premine (70% ?).

1772  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DASH : News, Information and Discussion on: March 01, 2019, 01:18:06 PM
To be honest DASH is a good and well-established coin in the market, I think that the coin has good potential. I once heard that in the development team there is a man who used to be a developer of bitcoin. Is that true or rumor ?)

This is Dash current dev-team : https://www.dash.org/team/
It could very well be that some of these developers have worked on the Bitcoin project in some way before (Bitcoin is a large project after all) and then made a switch to Dash at some point.

Also Evan Duffield (Founder of Dash) was first very interested in Bitcoin, but when he found out he could not make the Bitcoin developers add privacy elements into the Bitcoin project
(Bitcoin developers feared hard forks i guess or were just not interested in privacy at that time) he ended up creating Dash as altcoin and functioned as Dash Lead Developer for awhile.
He left the Dash Core Group in 2017 and created a seperate project named DashLabs where on-chain scaling applications and research is performed.
One use case came out of DashLabs so far : https://dashnews.org/dash-labs-exclusive-update-interview-with-tito-rios-on-data-collection-protocol/

As i hear a few month ago KFC stores in Venezuela were going to accept Dash as payment (this was in autumn last year). But I don’t see any news after this... So what happened? Are they still going to works with Dash or something was changed?
Which other companies accepting Dash right now?

It's Church's Chicken, probably somebody mistakenly thought that is Kentucky. It is big chain in VE, you can find posts here or @ Dash Discord

See following article : https://cointelegraph.com/news/kfc-venezuela-denies-accepting-dash-payments

Ok, thanks for clarification. But as I understood from this article, they just said that this partnership in negotiation right now and they can't provide any details, but they didn't said that this impossible. So we still have chances for this?  Huh
The one thing, that I can't understand is in - is this possible to accept anonymous currencies in such big company?

That is a good question, i think only Dash Team Venezuela has an answer on that one as they are (or were) in direct negotiation with KFC Venezuela.
Its certainly possible for large corporations to integrate Dash (see : https://dashnews.org/churchs-chicken-venezuela-offers-special-promotion-for-paying-with-dash/).
This is because Dash has fully traceable transactions just like Bitcoin as default (but then instantenuous, with very low transaction fees and more secure with regards to doublespending).
If users want their transaction anonymized / private they first need to mix coins, build up an anonymized amount and click on option PrivateSend to send it.
In other words : privacy on transactions is optional with Dash.

Thats why Dash can offer traceable transactions to those companies that want it and private transactions to those users that need it (best of both worlds).
In my opinion that is an advantage over cryptocurrencies that have privacy on their transaction enabled by default (we call those cryptocurrencies privacy-centric cryptocurrencies).

Also since Dash originally forked from Litecoin and then made the decision to re-fork directly from Bitcoin while integrating all of Bitcoin's relevant updates, its just easier for merchants / large corporations
to integrate Dash as additional payment option next to Bitcoin (because Dash code is similiar to Bitcoin at base level).

1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Dash Discussion Thread on: March 01, 2019, 10:16:46 AM

How Dash Works

Peer-to-peer digital currency differs from traditional money in that there is no central authority responsible for monitoring supply and authenticity.
Instead, the hard laws of mathematics govern supply and ensure that only legitimate owners can spend their balances. Assuming users follow
recommended security practices, this makes fraudulent spending and theft almost impossible. In the absence of a central authority, each node on
the network itself must come to an agreement (or consensus) on the balances of each account (or address) every few minutes. This information is
then stored in a block, and irreversibly written and linked to the previous block to form a chain. This constantly updated ledger is accessible by any
user of the network and is called the blockchain.

Dash builds on this simple (although somewhat unfamiliar) concept by offering users instant, private and secure transactions that are so simple,
you won’t even know you are transacting on a blockchain. Anyone can participate in the network, and Dash is widely available for purchase around
the world. The ingenious masternode network means sending any sum of money around the world is as simple as tapping your phone at your local
store to buy groceries. Say goodbye to slow transactions, complex international account numbers and high transaction fees – Dash is digital cash!

New month = New longterm price chart from Dash on Poloniex through tradingview.com
It has two MACD's (1 default, 1 popular on tradingview) + RSI
Disregard volume on this chart as most Dash trades takes place on other exchanges. It does provide the longest interval (1 month), which gives a better longterm overview
