2701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will energy consumption be Bitcoins downfall ? on: June 03, 2021, 04:14:24 AM
Just as people moved from gasoline powered cars to electric will investors also move from bitcoin to ecofriendly alts?

Seems that has already been occurring.  New crypto investors don't care about decentralization or security.  They just want to see their number go up.  We are literally smack in the middle of the Greater Fool Theory.  We've seen 1 rug pull so far, but I think that was just a precursor.  The rug pull we'll see come December will leave people with their jaws on the ground.  On the plus side, a $30K Bitcoin will be viewed as a complete collapse, giving those of us with level heads the opportunity to do this all over again in 2025, if Bitcoin survives it's community that long.

I watch the BTC market share pretty close every time there is a big swing, BTC holds in there tough 40 to 43%. I still find it interesting there isn't one (top 100) crypto I know of that can stand alone on its own merit when BTC takes a dive.. It just disrupts the world of crypto

40-43% still is a big chunk of money loss. everybody will just sell and run when the price plummets it's been going on for over 10 years already, those who hold are the ones hopeful that bulls will quickly resume but it has yet not happened in history because it always takes time to see the bottom. if the price goes $28k, a lot of us will still be selling. the wisest wins because they are going to buy back stacking sats.

i was thinking we have been fighting global warming since 90s nothing has changed still. now shifting to electric. US has no source of gasoline anymore so they all want to shift when the middle east has tons.
2702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are YOU buying bitcoins? on: June 03, 2021, 01:58:12 AM
The exchange rate is at an all time high and then some. Are you buying coins at $7.50 USD/BTC and if so why?

Wow, who bumped this old thread when bitcoin was at 7 dollars.

I would wished to buy all 21 millions bitcoins at these prices.

it's about digging up proudhon's old posts and his consistency that's why it's revived. proudhon must have been very rich by now for being an old investor of BTC.
but come to think of it, $7.50 was the all-time high during that time. can you imagine how bad the institutions want the price to go dip this low while some of us think that BTC will soon die?
2703  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price since 2021.05.31 in about 7 months on: June 03, 2021, 01:41:57 AM
Interesting to see that options are heavy with the bear movements. There are 8 options that shows it going under for a while, and that is understandable, there could be any amount of options that says that it will go down, however there are only 3 options that have a good outcome in the end, that would be something insane and that is what I am trying to understand, why would you have 3 options for good only but have so much bad options?

Just say "will it go up in the next 7 months, or will it go down" and that two options is good enough if you ask me, if you are going to give a detailed option then just do it equal, have like 11 options? Make it 6-5 on the sides so that we could think it is fair. I voted for bull bull bull because I believe that is what we are going to get, there is no way that bitcoin could drop and stay there and never going up, I believe it will recover.

8 options for bear, because I want show a bottom price of btc if bear is coming.
3 for bull, beacause if bull continue, the only thing we need is to relax and wait, there is no need to know the ATH price, since we just only need to hold.

you can relax it seem not going below 30k. or maybe soon. the fuds are still coming so it's still going to keep moving down and up unless something gives that will break support lines. high chance of bears actually, i guess the reason for 8 options. there had been good news and bad news in crypto but we have seen this before. energy and ransomware fud still is very alive.

where did you see a climbing challenge in the sportbetting platform?  it's not on sportsbet and stake.

sports events like this one don't happen very often. mostly the ones who participate in this event are the people who are involved in mountain climbing. i can't even remember a name who is pretty much famous in cliff climbing. can this be classified as extreme sports?
2706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fully vaccinated individuals now spared of masks in the casinos in Vegas on: June 02, 2021, 10:59:20 AM
Ok, next Monday is my turn to take second Phizer vaccine shot. All of my colleges or people I know, after getting a second vaccine shot, felt terrible, had high temperature, running nose, cough, headache for 2-3 days. How I understand this consequences - due to vaccine, their immune system weakened. If not - explain why all of them felt terrible. During these 2-3 days, they are at risk catching other viruses, or covid. After they got vaccine, they still wear masks, keep 2 meter distance.

Look how it looks to me:

No vaccine - people feel good, wear mask, keep social distance.
After vaccine - people are at risk catching new illnesses, wear mask, keep social distance.

You see? What is the point of making a vaccine, if you still can catch covid and have to take vaccine booster after 12m ? In what kind vaccine is the solution? Looks like a placebo effect more than a solution.

The only reason I've signed to take vaccine is to travel. As soon as I get my vaccinated passport, I will be free to visit any country I want.

Even I had Pfizer vaccine (Comirnaty) two weeks ago. Felt the same, although the fever and pain lasted only for around 24 hours. The Comirnaty vaccine contains messenger RNA, which will trigger the production of virus protein in your body. During this process, your immune system reacts with the protein and that is the reason why you get fever and headache. Actually this only means that your immune system is in good shape. Your assumption that you are getting fever and other symptoms because the immune system is weakened, is not true. You can check this video, to get more information:

https://www.webmd.com/vaccines/covid-19-vaccine/video/video-covid-mrna-vaccine

but why is it that people who got the vaccine can still get infected?

i was asking my sister how things are when she got covid and seem she is okay and got vaccinated, the day she got the vaccine she felt tired and dizzy whenever she stands. the doctor says she is still going to come back in the next 6 months because the vaccine will not be potent by that time. so another injection for her again. her whole life i guess she has to keep injecting vaccines. the only consolation is that she can now go walk and go to the beach.

2707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest on alts suggestion on: June 02, 2021, 09:24:09 AM

on 2024?

boy, you'd gonna miss a lot of altcoins which price may not really go as low as you might expect. there are tons of going on the crypto world right now, developments on every project could quite explode their price to mars before 2024. if i were you i would just play trading some altcoins instead of waiting, there probably a chance for you to accumulate more USDT than wait for 2024.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 02, 2021, 07:47:28 AM
This is another, in my eyes, stupid fight that nobody is really waiting about. Especially as Woodley is not so famous but as others mention it is all about the money. Both Paul and Woodley can take home a nice pay check. Chances are maybe slim, but I hope Woodley can KO Paul.

that's  adds up the fun, if Paul lose a rematch will happened.

More money for those promoters and this two actors will have another way of gaining for more, though it's not that attractive fight,

but since Paul and Woodley got fans on their own, it will give them the opportunities to fight again and entertain those fans who support them. they should come up with entertaining performances.

it will be more entertaining if the rules will be changed to UFC so they can do all the kicking and taking down after the boxing. this will determine whether Paul can adopt the MMA settings. forcing UFC fighters to fight in boxing is just taking it to his favor so the rematch at least will be different.  that should be the kind of entertainment they hype for an exhibition.
2709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can good news impact crypto value without whales? on: June 02, 2021, 06:15:13 AM
there is no way we can exclude the whales, they will buy whatever they see as a good investment. they are here to stay and will try milking the market for as long as they could. riding along with their trades takes a lot of skills. the rest of us are also riding by just holding our coins after buying the dips, that's how they ride with them. taking another route may just be a risky as margin trading.

2710  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: June 02, 2021, 05:24:00 AM
^  Well he did have a good start.  He was undefeated, gifted, good looking and had a good image back then.  But he f*cked it all up in one night.  That’s why the UFC will never ever pay him at the price he wants.  He could’ve been the poster boy of the UFC.

Anyway, everybody should go watch this match again.  It was close between Adesnya and Vettori.  Vettori priced at 3ish maybe slightly more in some books could be value.

UFC Free Fight:  Adesanya vs Vettori 1
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2hhysnRDZM
Thank you for the video,  I hope Adesanya vs Vettori 2 next week for UFC263 will be a little bit more spicy than this one.
At least there will be 2 more rounds, so we can expect a victory without a judges decision. I'm surprised the first bout wasn't entitled as a co-main event while it took place during a fight night (UFC on Fox 29)

Bookmakers are seeing Adesanya as a pretty big favorite @1.38 vs @3.4 for Vettori
https://www.oddschecker.com/ufc-mma/israel-adesanya-v-marvin-vettori/winner
And there is naturally a promotion from Stake for its ambassador : If Adesanya loses bets on him will be refunded (risk free bet!)

its the main event this time. stake and adesanya both benefited from the promotion.

that extra 2 rounds will be a disaster for vettori if the fight strategy will still be the same, 3 rounds is exhausting enough. adesanya is back to a weight class where he is comfortable. yep i could agree this is a risk fee bet vettori is just too slow that adesanya could bend over to avoid his headkick.

also excited to Figueiredo vs Moreno 2 which is the co-main event. their first fight was also good.
2711  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in bitcoins for future kids on: June 02, 2021, 04:27:29 AM

why not. you'd rather want your kids to learn early about how money works and BTC than just let them spend it. if i just knew what i learned today 15 years ago, i probably wouldn't be spending money on drugs and pussies but invest in the stock market.

kids today are always on the internet, every time they see something new on their sight they google it. if they learn cryptocurrency trading, you wouldn't be worrying much about their future especially if you have prepared some BTC for them.
2712  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone else find Michael Saylor a bit over-the-top? on: June 02, 2021, 03:19:38 AM
he isn't BTC max, MicroStrat as far as I know also has ETH on their spreadsheet. but there is nothing wrong with being maximalist because after all, we all know BTC is the one and the altcoins are just options for investors.

what someone might not like what Micheal Saylor is doing like coordinating with Elon about this BTC Mining Council because ultimately this will be taken over by the regulatory body.  whatever they are doing could lead to any BTC address we have will be censored because the BTC we got are not mined by environment-friendly energy.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Jake Paul vs. Tyron Woodley on: June 01, 2021, 06:43:34 AM
Knowing the fame of Jake Paul, they are just continuously riding it out and hope to make even more money with it and of course, improve the career.

Anyway, the TKO win by Jake Paul v Ben Askren at round 1, proving that he is stronger than the former champion holder. Did they choose Woodley as their opponent? I don't think they cherry-picked him because I know that he is a teammate of Askren and wants to avenge his loss. He is out for revenge.
That's the premise that the Paul brothers are looking for when they entered the boxing ring, they want to make money. Also, the revenge is pretty comical if you think about it, it's not like Askren didn't get any money out of it, the fights pay good so they want to get in it, revenge doesn't matter.

no. Woodley tweeted to fight Paul just when he bragged about his win against Askren so the brothers decide to give him a go. if this paul will win which presumably will win, he will brag once again and looks for another ufc rejects.

nothing to lose for Woodley as well since he is out of UFC right?
this is merely for money, it will restore Woodley's rep and probably can go back to UFC if he wins the fight. we'll see about that because this is also easy for Paul. the joker had been trained as a boxer for a long time.

mayweather vs paul is on June 7, it's yet not happening but paul already have an upcoming fight. he's in demand. keep up the good work  Grin

Mayweather is fighting Logan Paul, this is his brother. I'm not sure which one is which by looking at them but I know that Jake Paul is the better boxer. The odds are not looking great for Woodley so it would be a huge surprise if he won. If he beats Paul then he will probably fight in another celebrity boxing match. Unless he fights for the UFC title, he will make more money in boxing than he would against fringe UFC contenders and journeymen.

thought it was the Logan again. so this is the one who unties Floyd's shoelace. funny because they really made it a war against the UFC fighters. boxers are much trained to combat. UFC for once for the tough guys like the marines only but now, seem like for the soft chin weenies.

2714  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This dip is PROOF that "I wish I would've bought Bitcoin at X price" is nonsense on: June 01, 2021, 06:30:03 AM
in the early days, they consider BTC as an experiment and they still are even after $1200 spike. the institutions are ignoring Bitcoin even after 2017. only few of them are interested. some of the people today are still going to ignore BTC.

i have talked about buying few BTC to acquaintances on mine right when they share about jobs they have and how they still have money problems. they ignore it still. it could be too late for them when finally the government will consider it a reserve currency which they could be the ones that will say "I wish I would've bought Bitcoin at X price" or listened to me.

2716  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [LIST] Gambling sites with internal exchange on: June 01, 2021, 02:23:38 AM

internal exchange is great to use for casinos so that we can minimize withdrawal fees. XRP is almost free. not sure if they will make it free when EOS are to be withdrawn.

i have no idea we can trade our coins with altcoins on stake.com, it's however going to be using 3rd party but i guess it's worth using when withdrawing xrp. did anyone try it with coinswitch?
2717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will energy consumption be Bitcoins downfall ? on: June 01, 2021, 02:12:00 AM

CZ tweeted https://twitter.com/cz_binance/status/1399195759140954112

Quote
When you use electricity to run cars, it’s environmentally friendly.
When you use electricity to run the most efficient financial networks in the world, it’s an environmental concern.

this tweet retweets and received likes more than his usual tweets. you can see the media that surrounds elon had not even thought of pointing electricity issues.

Just as people moved from gasoline powered cars to electric will investors also move from bitcoin to ecofriendly alts?
I don't think energy consumption will result in Bitcoin's downfall. Bitcoin miners will always move towards any means that will be better in the coming future for Bitcoin mining. This is natural since the general energy consumption is moving towards that direction anyways and I see Bitcoin miners going that route.

it's not a bitcoin downfall but will just adjust the price for a bit because they can make it happen. miners will play along if the law will make it illegal for not using green source.
2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Haney vs Linares - May 29 on: June 01, 2021, 01:55:43 AM

i really thought linares won the fight since he is the only so far that had hit harder that wobbles the legs of Haney. this is where he waves his hands to show this way to his corner. the old man still has his gear working. that combo i think should have mattered to the judges. very close scores so it deserves a rematch. probably going to be settled when Haney loses against Davis.
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why use the word CRASH instead of LOSSES on BTC? on: June 01, 2021, 12:57:44 AM
when the word crash is used in the market, you can visually imagine how the chart looks because a red candle dropping sharply is really really bad. and that makes weak hands panic. it's going to make things worse but it's a bit of a fud for some. we are accepting it that way though besides it's more understood when we use the word crash than correction or a dip. it falls on how you interpret the price movement.
2720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why is the process of listing Cryptocurrencies simple? on: May 31, 2021, 11:27:11 PM
those dog coins don't solve any problem but then it's promoted by high-paid marketing staff. dog coins are likely owned by rich teams who can afford to pay the listing fees of binance and major exchanges. but they normally don't list shitcoins. if you mean to Uniswap then that something else because anyone could list there as long as it's ERC token, its liquidity will make it not very hard for the project. eventually, they'd die but in the case of doge, shiba and etc, they are money-making
