Well I myself wear a sig so hard to call others out I suppose, but I am also flat rate and clearly do not spam. I think the campaigns just need to crackdown on the spammers more. The forum seems fine with the campaigns so lets start reporting people (I have started reporting every useless post I see lately). here is also a suggestion -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=877765.msg11847389#msg11847389what kind of post do you deem useless? I've tried to report posts that have very similar content to the previous replies of a thread, posts that was made only to point out a spelling mistakes, etc. but most of them never get deleted. When people "kick the tires" in sales threads with no intentions to buy When it obvious they just read part of the topic and not the thread and post useless words that do not help the thread I really do not have a specific thing I look for...spam is obvious most of them time. |

People like you are the issue...who do not read and just post. It is not the signatures that cause the issues it is the useless posts they generate. This has been stated over and over in this thread.
Unfortunately no matter how many times this is repeated it will be followed by some stupid ad-sig poster response that is basically saying "don't take away my income". Are you guys blind or what? It's just this easy. If you are disturbed by signatures do this, if not then why complain? Let others be free to earn some money  You might be; or at the very least you didn't bother to read this thread. That checkbox has been pointed out several times, the reasons why people may not want to use that checkbox have also been discussed, and hiding (campaign) signatures alone does nothing with regard to the other side effects also discussed before, as recent as 3 posts above yours. Well i dont see any other side effects then. If someone is disturbed by too many ads he can disable it, just with adblock you can disable website ads. But if you dont, then atleast support the company he is advertising, bitcoin is a small community ,yet, and it doesnt have many means to advertise new stuff. Since our forum community is big, obviously new services will target forum users, we need to help support them by watching and checking out their ads. After all you guys want all the way for bitcoin to succeede, so we must do a sacrifice like this for the bitcoin economy People like you are the issue...who do not read and just post. Due to another campaign closing I will be opening spots (more than likely) in a week or two to accommodate said campaign's previous participants.
What changes or additions would everyone like to see?
I'd like to see higher pay for those that are higher-quality posters. To put it into perspective, there are many that post solely for the money. Others of us post because we have input. You'll notice that generally speaking, 25-30% of my posts don't count -- this is because I post because I have input, not to game the system. I'd love to see those of us in this boat get a better offer to help compensate for it, . It is in the OP - if you think you are worth more message Marco. I have had special rates for a long time (flat rate monthly). "If you believe you're an extremely high quality poster and believe you deserve a higher rate/higher maximum please contact me through PM and I'll see if something can be worked out (even higher rates)!" |
