2761  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots is More Likely to Cause Gambling Problem on: June 11, 2022, 02:44:51 PM
Slots are probably the worst type of gaming you can do. Terrible odds and is way too quick.  A lot of bets take a while to play out where as ots takes all of about 10 seconds to win/lose.  It's also very personal, on a group table you make different decisions than if you just play alone at a slot.  Worst part is the "possibility" of hitting the big one like a lottery.  Instant change in life effects people negatively in tes of Ampang up their addiction.  Terrible game.
2762  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto crash (LUNA/UST) on: June 06, 2022, 03:44:09 AM
The possibility of crypto (LUNA/UST) losing even more shares in the market?

It's over man.  Why on earth would anyone put money into that project right now?  Just move on to something else.  People keep chasing bad money with good money and get burned.  High risk, low reward.
2763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 06, 2022, 03:41:44 AM
Poole played a big part in that second half run.  More and more I'm thinking he might be the key to get the Warriors over the hump. Yeah steph, klay, etc will get theirs but when Poole turns it on it makes it too difficult for the other teams to cover their backcourt.  Fun game.  Hoping for a 7 game.
2764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gold Guarantee Coin ? What you think on: June 06, 2022, 03:39:53 AM
"Guaranteed". Lol I don't buy it.  So what happens when "the dev team" splits and takes everyone's bitcoin or whatever else they are selling theor token for.  If you want gold just go buy gold.  Why would you need a shady altcoin that promises you x amount of gold.
2765  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: India proposes 30% tax on crypto and NFTs income on: June 06, 2022, 03:37:38 AM
Pretty harsh if the tax is just on the transfer.  Short term profits in the states can lead to 40% on the profits.  Anything after 12 months is much lower.  Is the 30% on the principal or the net profit?
2766  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 06, 2022, 03:30:16 AM
3rd quarter Warriors.  Wink
Big win for them and the adjustment was perfect. They shut down Smart, White, and Horford. That's what they want to happen and they didn't mess up tonight. Steph Curry doing most of the damage and then Jordan Poole, while Klay Thompson is still missing in the picture.
Now, how will the Celtics adjust? A big question for everyone. They haven't won a 3rd quarter which is one of the crucial parts of the game. They must find a way to put an end to that.

Yeah that was a nice run to push it from single digits to almost up 30.  Didn't think this one would be close given the drive of not going down 2-0 to go on the road.  I think game 3 will be real crucial to the series.  Can gs steal one in Boston to get the home court advantage back?
2767  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Give Your Feedback About Bitcoin Today ? on: June 05, 2022, 11:41:54 PM
Hi Guys, here I want to talk about Bitcoin. Basically Bitcoin is the only coin that is in great demand and highly sought after by people who enter the world of Cryptocurrency, even very many people are looking for ways and finding ways how they can get this Bitcoin, of whom there are those who do Mining, Trading maybe also included.

Bitcoin's value is now so low, what's the reason? give your feedback?

First off bitcoins price is low just because of market cycles.  There is nothing wrong with bitcoin.  Second this is a board meant to discuss altcoins.  There is a bitcoin speculation section you might want to move this to.
2768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Modernizing old projects on: June 05, 2022, 11:40:30 PM
Project fails because:
1: team failed to follow the whitepaper
2: a member of the team harms the project development process by making an exit scam
3: external attack from hackers
4: bad market forces etc,
Ethereum blockchain came as a savior to the scalability problems faced with the Bitcoin network, and ever since then a lot of coins have come and gone. Going through my old wallet today I stumbled on some old and dead coins which at a time promised to offer so many good features and solve real-time problems but at this moment their nowhere to be found and are dead and gone with all the good ideas behind those projects. Some of which can solve some services issues faced in the industry today and this made me ask this question, which of the old projects will you like to see coming back again to achieve its original project idea to solve some issues facing the cryptocurrency industry at the moment and why do you want to see them back identify the real-time problem that coin can solve.

Ypu are thinking about it too much.  Most every coin or project fails because they were never meant to succeed.  Most of the time it's the same people cash grab and start a new one.  People need to stop chasing greed and these projects will go away.
2769  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 05, 2022, 11:39:08 PM
I would like to congratulate Rafael Nadal with a brilliant record 14 wins at Roland Garros and 22 titles at Grand Slam tournaments! To be honest, I had some doubts about his victory this year, given his health problems in recent weeks, but after Nadal dealt with Djokovic in the quarterfinals, it became clear that Rafael is capable of winning the entire tournament. There were certain rumors before the final that Nadal might announce his retirement after this match, but Rafa clearly showed after the match that he would still try to continue to please the audience with his performances.

Absolutely crazy how tough he is on clay.  I'm not a huge tennis fan but watch the big matches.  Don't know if I've ever seen someone dominate a particular court like Raffy does at the French open.  Easy money every year when this tourny comes around 😉
2770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 05, 2022, 11:37:30 PM
I like the Warriors ML tonight and would be settling for that, I don't think they'll go 2-0 down at home, especially giving the fact that they literally let game 1 slip through their fingers, I'm not underestimating the Celtics by any means, but Warriors have got to take this, or it's going to a really tough situation for them if they fail to win tonight.

GL!

Debating whether to take the -4.5 or to hit the money line.  Don't know if the 4.5 points is worth the risk I was leaning on the money kine as well.  Can't see golden state losing 2 at home to start the finals.  Might hit the over on this one too.  Might get fast.

2772  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 03, 2022, 08:39:17 PM
Gotta lean in on golden state next game in my eyes.  At home I dont think golden state wants to lose out twice.  Think they will come out muchore focused for all 4 quarters.  Curry proved the defense situation won't affect him, he just needs to play the same way he did in the first q/half.  Taking the money line next game.
2773  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 03, 2022, 08:35:21 PM
It was a solid start by Celtics, wow. I was expecting to see the opposite happening in Game 1. Warriors were doing just fine in fact but they couldn't finish it up with a good result. Celtics turned the game around incredibly well and even won by a gap of twelve points. This high effort deserves to be appreciated a lot. As a Celtics supporter, I'm happy to see that they won but the next game might not end in favour of them. I think that Warriors are going to learn their lesson from their last quarter performance and they will come back better.

I don't even think they need to learn from it, at this point there is no learning from it they just took theor foot off the gas.  Curry changed in the second half, they needed to apply more pressure but thought they played a bit conservatively.  Poole is going to have to give them more than he did last night if they want a chance.
2774  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto exit strategies on: June 03, 2022, 08:33:04 PM
Usually, first-time crypto investors focus on entering the crypto market. But it is important for beginners to know how to exit the crypto market to take the maximum profit or save money.
Common strategies that beginners can use without specific knowledge are:
  • A price target
    Dividing coins
    Dollar-cost average
    Exit by return
    Exit by cycle
There is more detailed info about exit strategies https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/crypto-exit-strategies-evbblock/
Do you know other strategies?

If the goal is to just "make money" off of crypto you probably will end up losing in the end.  Either price wise or opportunity cost.  One way or another greed is brutal in crypto.  Fine by trading in and out, but I don't think you actually need an exit strategy per se.
2775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 03, 2022, 03:40:15 AM
^ Wow. The Celtics came out in the 4th quarter and went on a massive run with 7-7 from the three point line. Al Horford exploded and had his biggest 3 point shooting game of his career. I’m not sure the Celtics can sustain that play, but it was good enough to steal game one in the bay. What a collapse… Warriors better not let game 2 slip away.
Crazy 4th quarter for sure. Boston hasn't shot that good all year. Warriors better wake the fuck up, that was an epic meltdown by them.

Yeah outscored by more than twenty points in the fourth quarter, that's crazy.  I definitely did not expect to see that.  Getting my popcorn ready because this just might be one of them finals that are epic.  Hope Warriors can win game 2 so the middle games have some good juice on them.  Crazy game..for sure.
2776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Sentiment Poll for June on: June 03, 2022, 03:36:24 AM
Regardless of month or technical analysis that you look at no crypto is going to do well in June for the most part.  We headed (if we aren't already) dead center into a bear market.  Some coins will do better than others but generally don't expect any sustained good streaks for any coin, including eth.
2777  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How was last crypto bear market on: June 03, 2022, 03:34:03 AM
This question is for those that are here when bear market of 2018 stormed the crypto space, how doesn't it feel like? All those staking for perceive income makes sense at all? Or returns went so bad and makes staking looks like a bad idea? How does it felt like.

Been through 2014-2016 as well and I can tell you no matter what people tell you about staking is that in bear markets most coins just completely dissappear.  Whats the sense of trying to earn 10% when you lose 100% of your principle.  Don't worry so much about staking vs trying to retain capital.
2778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 03, 2022, 03:03:00 AM

After close halftime, Golden State Warriors are now owning the Boston Celtics by a double-digit lead. Andrew Wiggins wakes up after the half and Curry might end up on 40+ points tonight. Looks like Celtics bettors should now expect instead to cover the handicap of +3.5 although honestly at this point, that's not likely to happen. Well then, until there's no final buzzer, the game is not ended yet.

When the Warriors are leading for over 10+ points in the playoffs, their win rate is almost close to 100%.

Just like that only up by 5.  This is shaping up to be a sick game.  Right on the betting line right now with 9 minutes to go.  Let's see if Boston has what it takes to come back.  Crazy game so far.  Still liking Warriors chances here.
2779  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 03, 2022, 02:49:46 AM
Seen every stat on Twitter about how smart was going to shut down Curry.  Well 2 minutes left in the 3rd and Curry already has a 30 piece and up by 12.  They can't let Curry get off shots like he is and pretend they have a shot.  This is vetern Curry.  He just might own these finals.
2780  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 02, 2022, 09:51:14 PM

Yeah, something like that. Or the Celtics steal one at Chaste Center, win both at TD Garden, and end it at Chaste. Ouch! Just kidding.  Cheesy
I just took it while the profit was fat. Because once GSW won one game that may change substantially downward. It's just a prediction and I am not saying it will happen accurately as the Celtics are not to be underestimated.

That's still possible, however, I would trust the record of the Warriors in the finals appearance, they have more wins than losses and the last time I remember they lose in the Finals was against the Cavaliers in game 7, so no way they'll be lose by 4-1 record.

Nope, their last Finals appearance was the NBA Finals of 2019 where they got a 2-4 record against the heavy line-up of the Toronto Raptors. Surely that line-up gave the Warriors a hard time especially Stephen Curry as he was against Kawhi Leonard.

Back to the topic, the chances of the Celtics and Warriors are just equal. That example against the Raptors was a perfect example because the Warriors is the back to back champion that time and have so much experience in the playoffs and Finals but they are still vulnerable and got defeated.

I think golden state took that finals for granted.  You might see a steph you have never seen before.  They have to know eventually all runs end this could be their last go around.  I expect to see steph gold tonight.  Taking them and giving the points tonight.  Just gonna cross my fingers taytum doesn't go out and have one of them game wrecking nights where he is unstoppable.
