Rafael just destroying and strolling onto his way to another win at Roland Garros to close out the French Open finals. No doubt this is why he is renowned for being known as the King of Clay. And it is looking like he is about to give Casper Ruud a bagel for the final frame of the match.
Congratulations to all who selected Nadal to win this tournament when it started cause the odds must of been very nice especially when Djokovic was in there to compete against.

This was probably one of the easiest RG finals or him. Ruud never looked like he can seriously threaten him and just broke apart when Nadal kicked into higher gear. He was competitive until he broke Nadal for 3:1 in second set, which probed Nadal to shift gears and after that Ruud did not get a single game. So that was 11 games in a row to win his 14th RG title. That record will never be broken for sure.

Yeah, it's easy to say now that Ruud wasn't worthy of the final today - but when Nadal gets in the zone it is impossible to find breathing room.
Ruud was decent until the middle of the 2nd set - and fell apart completely after the break. Nadal simply won't give you anything - and Ruud's offensive game isn't good enough to parry him.
He still has only 3 losses in Roland Garros in his whole career and that is one of the most insane sports achievements ever.

agree, it is not Ruud not worth final, it is Nadal on the other side Nadal played solid until getting under pressure after break in second set (on 1:3), and then started to play as there is no tomorrow, no chances for any mistake it is 22nd GS for him, who would thought that just a year ago? congrats will be interesting to see what is following for him, I am almost certain that he will miss Wimbledon

I had the fortune/pleasure to place a bet in second set during the "infamous" 3-1 for Ruud, but Nadal winning-odd it was just @1.20 (also I have used an exchange just to have the better odd possible). At the end of second set odd for Nadal winner collapsed to @1.04! Ruud was not able to "capitalize" such big advantage in that moment, he arrived in final but GS probably is not the title that he can aspire at least nowadays.... however Nadal confirmed to be one of the top player we have ever seen on clay.

It was an easy win for nadal against ruud it was obvious since we have seen his performance against djokovic and with alcaraz gone no one could've stoped him but still a 3 0 win is not what fans want on a rolland garros final, congrats to nadal it was well deserved.

Regarding the final today - is it possible that Nadal and Ruud never played against each other? Looks like a bizarre statistic and I went to ATP site to look - no history at all.
Nadal is a huge favorite ofc - Ruud's game should suit him.
Agree completely with this and I don't see how Ruud can seriously trouble Nadal. That being said it still though to find a market to bet on that has some value in this match. I went with Nadal to win 3:0 @2.1 but it is risky bet since anybody can loose one set in BO5 match. Other option was 6.5 handicap on Nadal but that is even more risky for me. Just had to play something to make it even more interesting to watch. That was a fairly good call of the 3-0 @ 2.1 Trofo, It probably only looked risky in the first half of the second set, but well done. I played safe with a handicap bet on Nadal, all good. Yea thats 14 Roland Garros wins for him and 22 Grand Slams, King of Clay alright and a record maker!

Nadal has won his 14th title in Paris. That is really unprecedented, to win a Grand Slam tournament no less than 14 times? Today, when you look at the scores, it seems like a walk over. But it went very differently. In the 2nd set, Ruud was leading 3-1 and a set win seemed close. Then he lost all games in a row from the rest of the match. Ruud is not a bad player at all, the current number 8 in the world. But you can be as good against Nadal, if you don't play well you will be swept off the court. The odds of 2.1 for 3-0 were very favorable.

I would like to congratulate Rafael Nadal with a brilliant record 14 wins at Roland Garros and 22 titles at Grand Slam tournaments! To be honest, I had some doubts about his victory this year, given his health problems in recent weeks, but after Nadal dealt with Djokovic in the quarterfinals, it became clear that Rafael is capable of winning the entire tournament. There were certain rumors before the final that Nadal might announce his retirement after this match, but Rafa clearly showed after the match that he would still try to continue to please the audience with his performances.

Absolutely crazy how tough he is on clay. I'm not a huge tennis fan but watch the big matches. Don't know if I've ever seen someone dominate a particular court like Raffy does at the French open. Easy money every year when this tourny comes around 😉

As expected, a very dominant win by Nadal and now put separation between him and Dkojovic 22 vs 20 Grand Slam wins. Leading up to the tournament, we never thought that he will reach the finals because of his nagging foot injury. But he defies time, again and again, 6-0 in the Finals? That's really perfection. So he sets the record again in Roland Garros and I don't think that anyone can touch that record

It's a good odds for those who have put a bet on him as an outright winner in RG. And I agree that he was not the favorite in the beginning, but when Alcaraz was eliminated and then he beat Djokovic, Nadal's path is very easy. And I would say that this is one of the those one sided finals we have seen in RG in recent years. Even in the ladies side, Swiatek had a dominant win. Let's wee how is foot is, post game interview, he said that he there are numbness so he might take sometime to rest his body.

Honestly, Zverev was completely equal in those 2 sets he played against Nadal and that he didn't get injured, who knows how that match would end. Nadal was very lucky in that match and I think that Cilic would be a much harder opponent in the final. Despite all that, Nadal is truly a king in Paris and he absolutely deserves all the praise for his successes so far, which probably no one will ever repeat. What worries me are the growing rumors that Nadal will have to end his tennis career due to a foot injury. It would really be a great pity for such a tennis giant to end his magnificent tennis career due to injury.

Yes, perhaps it was pure luck on his side, Zverev beat Alcaraz, unfortunately he injured himself against Nadal and forced to surrender. And most of us says that Djokovic vs Nadal is the finals and that's what we witnessed when they fought. After that, it was easy final match for Nadal, 3 sets win against Ruud to win his 14th title here and becoming the older winner at 36.

i saw the odds of Nadal to win it at 4.44 but i didn't bet on him and i regret it
It was just the uncertainty over his fitness really that made him a comparative outsider. If he'd come into the tournament 100% fit, he'd have likely been the favourite - a fully-fit Nadal on clay, and especially at RG, is as close to a certainty as you can get in tennis. But we all saw how he was in Rome the week before, and it seemed unlikely that he'd be able to win seven best-of-five-set matches in a fortnight to win RG again... nevertheless, that's what he did. He was clearly not fully fit, and the injections to remove all feeling from his foot sound quite alarming, but it turns out even a half-fit Nadal can beat everyone in Paris!

But, surely now in near future we will have some good upsets as the big three-time is going to end and new players are going to join big events Federer is already down and out with Djokovic is also struggling and Nadal is having some fitness issues if new generation players able to give their best then surely they can replace very quickly.

Wow 4.44 for Nadal to win would have been great bet but yea nobody expected him to do what he did. His injury is clearly well managed with those pain killing/numbing injections. He would have to practice with those too to get used to that sensation, or lack of sensation. Honestly, Zverev was completely equal in those 2 sets he played against Nadal and that he didn't get injured, who knows how that match would end. Finally struff managed to win against giron 2 1 in the stuttgart tournament he had a loss streak of 8 games without a win and i think he got injured in the miami tournement against martinez but it seems that he got better and he managed to get back into competitions, but unfortunatly for him he will face sonego next which will be too much for him to handle i think he will lose 2 0.

i saw the odds of Nadal to win it at 4.44 but i didn't bet on him and i regret it
It was just the uncertainty over his fitness really that made him a comparative outsider. Wow 4.44 for Nadal to win would have been great bet but yea nobody expected him to do what he did. His injury is clearly well managed with those pain killing/numbing injections. He would have to practice with those too to get used to that sensation, or lack of sensation. people even said that he could announce his retirement because of his injury after Rolland Garros which made it harder for me to actually bet him to win it, but Nadal proved those rumors wrong and he said that he will keep fighting and is nothing thinking about retirement now, could you imagine Nadal winning all four grand slams this year and doing what Djokovic failed to do last year ? it's seems too good to be true but maybe
