hm, are we heading to 100  Shocked

No, no more triple digits for 2013. Or is it 300k$/BTC. I can never remember.

both and add "we'll never see 130, 90 etc, etc" again  Grin

That 300k stuff sent me to imaginative world a bit... ah  Embarrassed

This rally takes us to $300,000/BTC, dont worry. Then we fall to 0.

Bumping this because... a couple of these addresses have shed a lot of coins.

However, https://blockchain.info/address/1AXmu2pGHuS67v1BrmRo1MAapFbbJo9QUw has grown.

July 11th, 2013

Price is still being held down with ask walls. Gox took a large USD withdrawal hit this past week. Keeping the price low entices those withdrawals to come back as deposits. The writing is on the wall, in this case walls.

Very nice prediction there.

However, I'm really not seeing the ask walls anymore. Most of the asks are now in the form of small-medium chunks of 5-100. I know some of them are from a bigger player splitting them up [Like the 37.25 asks x ~28]

The 2k wall at 90 I'm fairly certain is from the same guy that had 5k at 80, and then pulled 2k before the major rally came thru.

Interesting point on lower price -> less withdrawals. It makes sense.

Asks have slightly recovered [123k, +13k from low today]

Bid/Ask down to $89/BTC from a high of $101/BTC.

8k coins need to be bought in order to top the daily high,
19k coins need to be sold to drop below the low.

I hate the part where I go to sleep now. Hopefully the action waits a few hours.. and it isnt a no-volume period until a whale comes in... AGAIN.
2787  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 11, 2013, 03:21:23 AM
^ a short term uptick was necessary and expected...before resuming the overall medium term downward trend...the pattern remains: lower highs and lower lows...that pattern has not been broken yet....

How can you say that after checking out the 12 hour chart, such as below:

http://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/mtgox/btcusd

We have just seen the biggest move up for 2 months. A new pattern is emerging. At some point reversals have to happen, unless it is in terminal decline. I remember watching the Enron share price in late '01 (didn't have any, fortunately) and it just kept going down and down. When it hit $8 the Bloomberg guys were having a fit saying that it must turn around soon. It didn't, the company collapsed and it went to zero. Unless Bitcoin is in terminal decline we will not see a permanent downtrend. In fact the last four years has shown it is the ultimate financial instrument on the planet. I think it will remain so, based on remarkable fundamentals, and so do many other people.

Enron. NOT Bitcoin

The biggest up move in 2 months... immediately following a doubly large, also 2 month record, down move?

It's clear you're all in Tongue

Anyway, best of luck. But I think you might be a bit delusional.

^Not that big of a move, relatively.
2788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Thank you to all the Terrified BTC Sellers! on: July 11, 2013, 02:50:50 AM
The difficulty of buying bitcoins is the main obstacle of making them a widespread currency. The average online user isn't going to be bothered with bitcoins when they see how many steps it takes to buy them.

The average online US user?

For example, on btcchina.com it only takes to send money by AliPay or Chinese online banking to a designated address, then after the funds have arrived, make a buy order and then a withdraw order, done. I would not call that “many steps”. The only thing to care about is somewhat long wait to process funding.

^ This. It's not hard to buy bitcoins.

Exactly. They just arent useful. Yet.

why does http://trading.i286.org/# show a 1.8k wall at 87 while it's not showing on bitcoinity?
Huh

Because bitcoinity is bad and its graph only refreshes periodically.

However mine has shown the wall for awhile.
2790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 11, 2013, 01:42:50 AM
walls everywhere

Except on the ask end! Tongue

I know, I know, a 2k wall popped up.. but, thats really it.

This is insane... broke 80, 85, AND 90 in one day?

Something isnt right here.

It's almost like the ETF is big news or something.

That news came out during the fall...

Is that seriously your point?

2795  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 10, 2013, 09:46:03 PM
Nice jump Smiley

Just panic buying or any news involved?

Just 2 million of bids have been shown, so people are buying.

Asks are way too low for us to be under 80.

Quote
It can't keep rising at this rate. I'm sure we will see a retrace of the recent upward move. Sub 80 within 24 hours?

Unlikely with >1mill waiting to buy at $80.
2796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker - Hardcore on: July 10, 2013, 09:37:46 PM
