2781  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people claim cryptocurrencies aren’t an asset? on: September 30, 2020, 11:01:46 PM
many( especially regulators ) believe it to be mainly due to the lack of legal rights.
This is one of the reasons why,

Since crypto is not being controlled by the government, they see it as a lack of legal rights. Even if it is considered as money, online money, or an intangible asset that can be used to purchase or do transactions, as long as they don't have the right to control or regulate cryptocurrency, they will not consider it as an asset.
Mostly people think about an asset  is that being legalized by the government and is supported by it but for me, as long as it has a good value that can be very beneficial in the future, then it can be considered as an asset. Hopefully once cryptos will become a mainstream and starts gaining even local adoptions from the government, people will definitely start seeing it as a good asset.
2782  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will $XRP be safe for long term? on: September 30, 2020, 10:29:32 PM
As a centralize coin, is it really safe for people when xrp team could do anything at anytime if they want? As a top ranked coin, i agreed that its safe for long but will it really profitable? As we can see, team trying to develop it, doing partnership with largest companies but xrp consistently losing its values even 90% lower than ath. So trading with it maybe okey but i can't even think about hodl it for long term
XRP might have been doing a good rise in the market in the past days but having it as a centralized coin even if its a top coin could mean not ideal for long term holding. Although what we have here are more on speculations but i prefer to invest in decentralized coins that are on the top of coinmarket cap than focus in XRP which i might regret in the future.
2783  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trying to share wisdom on: September 29, 2020, 07:49:44 PM
For a man who have transacted millions of dollars in all forms of payments I think you should be tge one sharing some tips and tricks to the members here since not all have reached your level and everybody here would want to hear what you have some in order to be successful just like you. But if you have any particular questions in mind I'm glad to add in some points if I have a little bit of knowledge regarding what you are asking.
Yes. It's nice to hear good people sharing their experiences in trading and giving out their brilliant advices particularly for those newbies in trading. Peer to peer trading is not that easy as it is and it gives me a hard time making profits with it in my first years in trading but i learned to trade on my own which has satisfied me more and hassle free compared to peer to peer trading.
2784  Economy / Economics / Re: Waiters/Waitresses/bellboys etc just lost their jobs on: September 29, 2020, 07:24:13 PM
Somehow it gave me goosebumps.

It is still way different when people are serving you.
You get smiles or sometimes you get an angry bellboy.  Grin
Human interaction is still the best or we will end up just like these robots without emotions even in the slightest things.
I hope I am dead when that happens.
It will saddened everyone who will definitely lose their jobs beacuse of this Spot Robots. I think small etablishments and even those big ones should not be adopting this because this will only pave the way to more hungry stomachs because of unemployement. It would still be best to work with real humans who have different emotions to show than to face those robots who are fast yet no emotions involved.
2785  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: BOUNTY AND UNFAIR TREATMENT OF HUNTERS on: September 29, 2020, 06:59:29 PM
It is of no doubt that many investors detest bounty hunters as they usually attribute the fault of price fall and dump to them, instead of blaming the project teams that do not put things in place to make their projects stand out.
Today, the team equally treat the hunters wickedly as if they're beggars after the hunters have completed the tasks assigned to them.

I recently witnessed a bounty pool of $15,000 with a participants of around 2,000. The bounty bounty was first scheduled for 4 weeks and later extended to 20 without a dime added to the pool.

The hunters endure the hash condition to complete the project and the hunters' were still delayed for several months after the bounty ended. When the started to pay, just 20% was released extending the rest of the payment to over 9 months.

Despite all these, the token price is still not attractive. Are all these hash treatments meted on hunters worth it!

That is currently what is happening to most Alternate Coins and that is why I really got lucky to have a weekly signature campaign.

These developers would just create a hyped situation in which they consider their Alternate Coin to gain profit and have these maximum value but when they achieve their profits in the middle of campaigns, they stop developing their projects which really sucks and would really be a scar to people who are enthusiastic with campaigning.
Bounty hunters are not worth it to be treated like this and this is the reason why they are free to choose the campaign they think has high potentials to succeed. If the project will just run like this, bounty hunters are also free to stay or leave. Because we can do nothing about this once the bounty campaign rules is already fixed and established by its project developer.
2786  Economy / Economics / Re: Uk covid update on: September 27, 2020, 12:01:44 AM
New cases of covid 19 still not stop and it continue day by day after government impose a new normal. I'm afraid that one day we are going to have a long lockdown if covid positive will increase more. We need to follow the health protocol to avoid spreading of virus. To avoid covid we need to have a self discipline and help our frontliners to stop the pandemic.
Discipline is what we need the most in this time of pandemic. Corona virus will still keep on spreading if there are still some citizens who will not abide with the health protocols of the government. Not only for UK but for the rest of the countries. Economy will surely be affected much due to lockdowns but this one is greatly needed this time so we can stop the increasing rate of corona virus victims.
2787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 26, 2020, 11:42:04 PM
Bitcoin is definitely a risky investment. Hence the saying "only invest what you're willing to lose".

But, at the end of the day, it's at everyone's discretion how much risk they want to keep within their portfolios. While comparing Bitcoin to a high risk stock wouldn't exactly be accurate (since they do operate differently) - the same approach should be taken. A portion in Bitcoin (or high risks stock) is necessary for growth, but the amount you invest should be measured with your comfortability with risk.
Bitcoin is definitely a risky investment but seeing that bitcoin has already build a strong foundation, that risks will consider be nothing once you gain huge profits from it. Every investment has its own risks so if you just sit there and do nothing even if you have all the spare budget to invest, you will find your life worthless by not taking the risks at your own comfort zone.
2788  Economy / Economics / Re: Why criminals prefer cash (Fiat) on top of crypto? on: September 25, 2020, 08:21:58 PM
As an option: criminals prefer cryptocurrencies less because of their volatility. Since they know that sooner or later they will be caught, they seek to get rich here and now, using the familiar and more stable fiat currency.
Most likely, criminals find it more easy to spend fiat currencies because they are accepted in all establishments unlike crypto that there are chances that they will still be traced and caught from doing online transacations. Although there is already a slow adoption for crypto that is taking place, still fiat is the best choice for criminals because they find it more easy to launder.
2789  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why don't you stop rushing to promote bounty from a scammed bounty manager on: September 25, 2020, 07:54:14 PM
Sometimes even the project managed by reputed manager had issues with paying the rewards and even many of them didn't have any value when token got distributed to bounty participants but still people are okay to accept any of their terms and start promoting the bounties without any knowledge about that project.
It does not mean that once a project is managed by a reputable manager, the project will always end up successful. Sometimes, bounty managers are just making their tasks because they are just being paid but when the project turns into a scam one once the project ends, it is already the team behind the project that should be blame and not the bounty manager alone. Same with those bounty hunters, they will surely render their services and keeps promoting the project not knowing what will be the future of the said project.
2790  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Was 2017 the "Golden Year of Crypto"? on: September 25, 2020, 07:26:48 PM
We can't say that 2017 is the Golden Year of Crypto because the development of bitcoin is just getting started. I believe Golden year of bitcoin is just coming, just wait and watch! If almost all people globally will accept and use bitcoin and government will legalize it, I think the value of bitcoin will increase more than the last 2017 ATH.
2017 was definitely a great year for crypto but with the surprises that happened to crypto everyday, i believe the best or the golden year for crypto is still yet to come. Bitcoin and other altcoins at the moment may have low prices but once there are great news that will hit the market, crypto prices will definitely reach its all time high price again.
2791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Charlo vs Derevyanchenko on Sept 26 on: September 25, 2020, 11:24:06 AM
Thanks for this mate, after watching the fight between Charlo vs Korobov on youtube i'm putting my money on Charlo. Though he struggled a bit on the early rounds, the good thing is that he did not lost his  composure and won that championship rounds. Charlo 1.50 not bad.

So we have an exciting card this September 26 as this is a triple header, all championship fights.

I put a parlay on the twins, it boosted the odds @1.80 not bad, so I hope that they really performed very well under worthy opponents. I'm more concern on the other Charlo against Rosario, and I think this is going to end in a knock out as Rosario is also a heavy puncher at 154 lbs.

Thanks for the idea of a parlay bro, i did the same as you and also add Casimero to my parlay thus making the odds at 2.10. Seems to me that this twin is the future of the 154 weight division and may rule this weight category just like the Klitsko's who once ruled the Heavyweight division.

I just can't believe Casimero's odds are that low. Well, I think you have a good plan here, I'm not saying that parlay would win or lose but if what you want is to get a good odds, parlay is always the answer. Good luck, these fights gonna happen in the same day, so you'll know the result immediately.
2792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 25, 2020, 09:08:43 AM
Meanwhile we have some bad news for the Phoenix.

PBA disallows Phoenix from including Calvin Abueva in bubble lineup

Calvin Abueva's suspension has now ran for 15 months and counting. He admits for his mistakes, trying to change for good, doing community projects, and involving in charities, still not enough?

As per the article, the deadline is today, Friday, for submitting the lineup so if that the case, Abueva won't be listed. Still a few weeks before the resume, I hope the decision will be made about lifting his suspension.

I think Abueva is expecting that he is now allowed to come back and play because of positive rumors.

That's very unfortunate, it's not actually him who is expecting, we the fans are also expecting that he'll return once the PBA resume, that's because of the good news about him that we have been reading lately, but it looks like he will have to wait again to play, if he can't play this conference, maybe in the next but it would be nice to really see him playing since it's an ALL Filipino conference where talents of the locals are showed.

It's not expected that he will play, people are just speculating based on the positive news they read about Calvin's case development, so hopefully people will not get disappointed, he will come back at the proper time for sure.
2793  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for 0.047 BTC loan on: September 25, 2020, 08:32:28 AM
My facebook: https://www.facebook.com/gasitotakoradi

So you can contact me with questions and suggestions
If you have fund and I ask for money to you as an in known person then will you give me such an amount? It is not a big deal either you see me via IMO, Facebook, whatsapp, telegram, instagram, linkedin or other social media?
If not then how you think anyone will allow such amount to you?

Don't take that seriously, even if that is his real facebook, no one would approve that loan as there was no collateral and since we are anonymous here, we don't have a contract, we can't sue anyone so we can't go after the money, just let it go, there's a lot of newbie asking loan, just disregard and don't waste your time.
2794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2019-2020 betting on: September 25, 2020, 08:18:34 AM

Lakers win!
Congratulations to the winners. I won over but it was paired with Denver winning the game.  Cheesy
Thankfully, one guy didn't let me down.

You still have bullets to win you bet.

Congrats Lakers, Lebron guard Murray making sure that the last foul that they've contest was a mistake, he really make it tough
for Murray to score, one more for both Miami and Lakers. Good luck to your next sets of picks.

Now let's focus on the Miami vs Boston game 5. Miami winning in 5 games is likely as in the last two series, they only allow the Bucks to win one game and I think Celtics now is not deep enough for a come back, so I would take the Miami Heat ML for betting odds, if they'll lose, I guess in the next game they'll win but I'm not really expecting that anymore. In a possible last game, it could be a low scoring too.

2796  Economy / Economics / Re: Pandemic pushed the US into recession- now official , analysis on: September 24, 2020, 08:36:21 PM

Its not just US that is going to plunge into a recession. Most countries in the world had been affected by the virus, every city locked down just to slow down the spread of virus and its consequences are felt by the people within it. This is going to be the new normal now and it sink in already that surviving this pandemic should be the first priority.

War is not a solution anymore to run an economy. Things change and maintaining on top of the game can be hard.
US is not alone having this recession because most of the countries are also struggling to recover from their down economy. But this one for sure will definitely take a long process and might even take years to recover because the government is more focused on the health safety of their citizens rather than focusing on how to generate profits for the country's sinking economy.
2797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ∧ Shape In Price on: September 24, 2020, 08:09:48 PM
Have you noticed whether all old cryptocurrencies went through ∧ shape in price?

Will all cryptocurrencies have gone thru this and let people make big profit?

There is no Crypto tokens that has not gone through this pump and dump phase even BTC, but the difference is if the project truly have a true product that solves people's problem, BTC has rise and dump several times and we all know that it will rise again because there is a strong fundamentals being it. Only shitcoins pump, dump and die
Pumps and dumps are very common in crypto market as new and old coins really tend to pump and then dump, and then vice versa. But for shitcoins, they will eventually pump and then suddenly dump and then totally lose their value. Unlike bitcoin and ethereum that are experiencing certain dumps at the moment but are expected to recover their prices once the market starts to pump.

2799  Economy / Economics / Re: Internet shutdowns by governments are bad for corporate marketing on: September 24, 2020, 10:03:29 AM
Seriously though, does anyone happen to know the cause for the loss of internet today?
The internet shutdown can bring sadness to people because many people have online works that depend on the internet. And if somehow, in his country, the internet is not online, it will make him can not work as usual. The internet has now become a primary thing for people, especially for the young generation who always connect to the internet. They will not be able to do many things, especially for playing games which many young generations did.
If those people are having struggles when there is internet shutdown, how much more to those companies who cannot continue to generate their sales because there is no internet access. Having an  internet shutdown even just for few hours is really a big loss for marketing companies even for those individuals who are making a living through internet connections.
2800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you determine if an altcoin is worth investing in? on: September 24, 2020, 09:41:50 AM
A lot of people have been burned by founders running away with with ICO money. It tarnishes the reputation of cryptocurrencies and I believe we should help educate new investors as soon as possible.

Can anyone share a checklist of the things they look for to determine if a coin is worth investing in?

And what are the red flags that you often see people fall for?
An altcoin project coming from authentic team or someone already associated with some other successful project or a project by an experienced person always gets the attention even before the launch. And most of the media outlets in this niche start righting about it. So if you are active and stay updated with what is happening you cannot miss out and you will find the right project before the masses get to know about it.
An investor who is more focused on the updates of the potential project he is going to invest is more likely not to be scammed. But if you just put your money because the project seems to be authentic and has high potentials to succeed without even researching the team behind the project, then scamming usually happened. Even red flags nowadays are not reliable because scam projects usually look perfect in the eyes of their target invetors.
