1821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 05, 2021, 11:39:29 AM
How about the Lakers game, anyone here put their bet on the Lakers, they tanked again, can't believe they cannot avenge their previous loss.
I'm not surprised, they are overrated.

Look, the Lakers could tie the game and bring it to OT, but it's Westbrook who took the last shot in the 3 point line which I think is not a good idea as Westbrook's 3 points percentage is awful. I don't know if it's designed for him, or maybe he just took the liberty to shoot trying to be a hero but failed.

We can not assume his true intentions, but regardless of what happened and without Lebron James, I think the Lakers did what they think was right, Russell is pulling up 3 points shot in the first half and they are leading the game so much that their defense just withers in close to the 3rd quarter, I really thought they can pull a win here, and Lebron James is already celebrating from the bench, I really think that the Lakers can surely win that but I think the lead gave them confidence that the Thunders would not make a comeback, but maybe giving the ball to anyone that can really make that desperate shot, I think Russell Westbrook is not that guy,

And yes Lebron James could be gone for 1 week, and right now Anthony Davis has a thumb injury but maybe he can still play it next game.

On the big 3, I think only Davis is clutch, even Lebron is not consistent, but in that particular game, I think it should be Melo who should take the last shot as he is more accurate than Westbrook and I've seen lots of games where he finish with a win when he was still with the NYK.
1822  Economy / Economics / Re: There are many online jobs out there. Crypto Opportunity. on: November 05, 2021, 09:10:31 AM
If we talk about online jobs, we can find so many online jobs out there so we can search what is our passion and start working. If that is about crypto, many things you can do such as join as a freelance on here or other website or trading, investment or other things related to crypto. The matter is how we can enjoy the process and not feel it is too long to make much money from crypto opportunities or online jobs because everything will start from one step. If you can do the right thing in the first step, then you will make money in the short term.

But if you can not get the right thing, maybe you need to search for the other things that match you. The other key is not to give up doing your jobs and search for other opportunities from the internet.
In all types of jobs, i think making a good research not just on the start but all throughout the process, could mean very helpful to make you productive and even passionate on your chosen field. Particularly with crypto, it takes a lot of research especially if you are in bitcointalk forum so you can create quality posts that are highly needed. Aside from that, you could also land into other jobs depending on your expertise. As long as you know how to deal with your job properly, then its quite a guarantee that you will also be earning good amount as well.
1823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: with 12 years from nothing to maturity on: November 05, 2021, 08:01:11 AM

12 years only, that's how much it grew. It may not even be the mature price, it still can grow.

But BTC had been crashing over and over. Its been buried several times as we see there are obituaries of it. There will be another when it's going to dip once again but every time there is a dip, it gives another room for growth. The room is all because of its scarcity of BTC, there is nothing like that because GOLD is can be suppressed by regulators and the big institutions.

Bitcoin has gone so far and i don't even know if bitcoin will certainly mature or how far its maturity price will be. As long as its making significant price growth from time to time, despite of the inevitable occurrence of price corrections, then it will be very good to see. However, it doesn't cross my mind that astrology is something to do with bitcoin price movement. Well, if it really does, then i think its good as we have more other bases now for price prediction. One thing i am certain, as long as its adoption continues and never stops, then we will witness more price increase in the coming days and months.
1824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful with the hype on: November 04, 2021, 11:33:15 PM
I try and stay away from ICOs. Make sure that the team is well developed, they have a supportive community, good marketing strategies in place, and so on.
ICOs are not all bad, even in ICOs it also has what you want like a growing team, a big community,
good marketing and also a very logical roadmap structure in it, so not everything looks bad.
ICO's have been very profitable way back then but when scamming has been rampant and all we have in the market are mostly scam projects, that's the time where most of the investors have lost hope because the projects are mostly have no good developments the team behind are not even existing in real life. So that makes ICO's lost their credibility as its becoming a home for scammers and fraudulence. Gone are those days that people are treating ICO's as the most profitable in the crypto market.
1825  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Going public saying you own Bitcoin is not safe anymore on: November 04, 2021, 10:39:12 PM
It is not just about Bitcoin, there has never been a time that it is good to brag about assets that you own.
As an investor, it is always good to  keep everything you are doing to yourself and not reveal it to your friends or anyone, except people you trust very well.
You totally make sense but there's no reason what so why anyone will brag about having something or money because before he does someone else had it before him. Why the brag.
The topic reminds me of a friend that kills his best friend because he wanted to steal his Bitcoin holding so it, not security advice to publicly say I own Bitcoin either online or offline.

It's definitely not safe for a bitcoin holder to expose his bitcoin holding on the public because that will only result into making a crime. Just imagine how hard today to make a living and there you are, flaunting your expensive asset so expect that anyone will get interested on it and might think of making an action how to hack your own account. Things that are of high value should never be announced in the crowd. That is if you want to live safe and out from troubles. Think first its consequences before doing it.
1826  Economy / Economics / Re: Really, why bitcoin has this value? on: November 04, 2021, 09:09:49 AM
Bitcoin has value because many people are looking for it while bitcoin stock is limited, this is what makes the value of bitcoin continue to increase, as long as there are bitcoin users, bitcoin will be valuable, this also happens to all types of investments.
Why would you doubt the price of bitcoin OP? I bet you know already how profitable bitcoin is and how far its price can go. As long as there is a strong demand from its investors, users, big companies and financial institutions, then its price will never cease from going up. Although sometimes, bitcoin price can be speculated, but knowing its trend will always going upward, so even how many times its price falls, it will always bound to recover. I won't be surprised if in the next 5-10 years, its value will certainly range from $500k and above.
1827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: November 04, 2021, 07:16:16 AM
Yes, that's what I wanted to see in this fight, a brutal knock out win by Casimero to send the message to all bantamweights specially Inoue. So that they can't avoid him as much as they want to. For sure Arum is protecting him because he wanted to build him like Pacquiao. So he carefully places him and chooses who he should fight to avoid Casimero. But if Casimero wins in an emphatic way here, he is now sending a mesage to Top Rank to make the fight.

Arum is protecting Casimero? lol. If there's a gem in Casimero, then it's the other way around and Arum will always arrange a fight for him. Look at Pacquiao, always have a match. That's the proper treatment to build a boxer, get the fight as much as possible. What are you saying is, Arum is choosing a fight where Casimero will have a chance to win. It's not that way.

I think what Dave1 trying to say is that Arum is protecting Inoue, his cash cow.

Casimero is a great boxer, he does not back up to anyone, even Inoue who has a good knockout ratio, but why is it until now they are still not accepting the challenge by arranging a fight? That's one of the reasons why some people are thinking that Arum could be afraid of risking his cash cow as he knows Casimero has a good chance of winning the fight.
1828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 04, 2021, 06:46:21 AM
Even without a rumor, it should be this month.

The restart of PBA every year always starts at All-Filipino Cup Conference. IThe next conference should be this month or before the year ends.

That's good to know, maybe they are already preparing now and we will just have to wait for the official announcement. So with these imports already confirmed, I like to ask based on your prediction, which teams will probably play in the Finals?
1829  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can SHIB rise to 0.1? on: November 03, 2021, 11:58:11 PM
It may have given one of the best return but it srill doesn’t change the fact that it's a shitcoin. It's still a shitcoin.
Have you ever calculated what will be the market cap of Shib will be once it raised to $0.10? I think it will be 100x higher than current bitcoin marketcap. Do you think it will be possible even?
During a bull run every shit coin gives you a return and that is the case with Shiba and there are many that genuinely think that it will keep on rising which is silly at its core when you look at the total coins in circulation  Cheesy. If we see these coins surviving the bear market which we should expect next year it will be surprising for me, the positive is that the developers created billions in a short period of time out of thin air  Cheesy.

and high likely that they will also disappear into thin air. the op asking for such price is ridiculous for me. but everyone can dream, right? maybe aim for much lower value, that is if this token can still survive in the coming years. because my opinion on this matter, is that this will decline very soon and don't know if there's a chance that they will be pumped again. once the people behind this got their pockets full, i believe they will go their separate ways and enjoy their retirement. so better think if you are a holder. don't wait too long before you cash out.
Shib is something that we should look forward too because it has great potentials that will give us benefits in the near future. Yes, by holding it, we can get decent profits in the long run. But let us not be too unrealistic when it comes to its future value. Of course, it has chances to grow more but it will only happen if its own demand will also keep increasing too. Otherwise, we will be left investing in Shib while others are also shifting into some other coins. So invest only in an amount we can afford to lose as there's no security that its demand will always go on progress.
1830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Jonas Sultan vs Carlos Caraballo - October 30, 2021 on: November 03, 2021, 12:33:36 PM

or.... an opposite thing might happen, what if Caraballo will find a way to adjust and instead will just use his advantage to box Sultan.

Well, that would be good and we might see a third fight to know who really is the better boxer.

I'm sure if they'll do a rematch the odds won't be too the same as the previous one, maybe we will be able to get 1.90 for either boxer and that would certainly make this fight more favorable to the bettors.

Carlos Caraballo signs with Top Rank ahead of Jonas Sultan fight
1831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 03, 2021, 06:41:17 AM
Brownlee is my favorite import in the NBA, so this next conference, I will be putting my bet on the Ginebra San Miguel. I also hope that all the starters are healthy once again especially Thompson who is really good help on the defense of the team, he can limit Mikey Williams for sure.

Per news article, Justine Brownlee is available to play as an import in our country, good thing that he didn't play or offered a more lucrative offer in Japan B-league. With his charisma and athleticism, I think there he could unite the disgruntled Ginebra Kings  Grin.

If Christian Standhardinger is still with Ginebra by the start of the second conference, i think the Gins Kings are a little bit stronger because they could execute the run and gun system as the first five will be all athletic.
Ginebra will be better as they have Justin Brownlee who will make it possible.
He will just need to hold the ball and score for the team, he can average at least 30 points per game if he wants to, and if the locals will struggle again, it's not a problem as they know JB is very reliable.

I just hope though that this next conference will not be a bubble and the crowd will already be allowed to watch live and covid cases continues to declined.
This is a great improvement and will bring back the excitement of watching the game as the fans will energize the game.
1832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Caleb Plant on: November 03, 2021, 05:33:47 AM

Age is not a problem because Plant is 29 years old and Canelo is 31, there's not much of an age gap and I'm pretty sure Canelo is still young and he is in his prime now. We will certainly see a great fight but on the side of the gamblers, it will be harder to find a good odds since Canelo is a heavy favorite.

That is the age of boxers where a boxer is at its prime, there is no age factor to consider, we can only consider skills punches and of course motivation, they both have a big motivation to win and they are both hungry to win if the fights turn out to be excited like a draw or Canelo get upset there's a possibility of a rematch or even a trilogy, fans are still yearning for GGG - Canelo, but this also has the making of a trilogy depending on the outcome of the fight, we all love rematch and trilogy because it's the continuation of the excitement brought by two boxers.

Sadly, Canelo doesn't want to fight with GGG again. It's 2-0 for him. He should give the fans another chance to see their fight for the last time as GGG is the only one who is capable of beating Canelo toe to toe.

And by surprise, the output instead will be GGG vs Caleb Plant because of that. Grin
As you state it, Canelo doesn't want anything with GGG, and this is kind of sad, but this Canelo fight with Caleb can warm up the engines, maybe some questions after the fight (Assuming Canelo wins) can put in direct context For a possible meeting with GGG, which for me, this is a dream fight, without detracting from all that Caleb can do, if in that case Caleb wins, the scenario may be that with GGG the possibility is much less.

Although nothing is written, everything can happen, and everything depends on the managers of each boxer and what each of them can offer, the important thing is a show that has more emotion.

That dream fight already happened, in fact, they had already faced each other twice and in the 2nd fight, it was Canelo who won the fight. We know a trilogy would be an exciting one, but we should respect if Canelo does not want it anymore, besides, he is still dominating in his division and has nothing to prove anymore.
1833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't lose your profit unnecessarily on: November 02, 2021, 11:16:24 PM
-snip- they do not understand that even more important than when you enter the market is when you decide to exit the market -snip-
Both important, knowing the best time to enter and to exit the market. I don't think that the newbies carelessly not learning about how to exit well. They are just still having a little experience and sometimes be influenced by others to keep holding. So, when there is a good chance to sell, they don't sell their tokens because they think it will increase more as people suggested to them. Sadly, after few days, the price of the tokens decrease drastically.

Just because of greed, all your expected profits have gone in an instant. And you could have made good profits if you take advantage with the market's good condition and sell your coin while the price is still in profits. As long as you see your coin in progress and brings even small profits from the time you bought it, do not hesitate to sell it just because you are aiming for a bigger profits. Always remember that this crypto market is too much volatile and what is profitable at the moment will lose its value in the days to come. So always seize the iron while its still hot so you won't end up being a loser.
1834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The president of El Salvador just bout 420 BTC! on: November 02, 2021, 05:10:02 PM
By buying so much BTC then they are sure that the magic will happen for the future, and they are a country that is currently using BTC as a legitimate means of payment so what they are doing now is all well planned even though the risk they receive is very large but in this case the agreement of certain parties has been agreed then Nayib Bukele does not want to waste this opportunity for the benefit of his country, This is all done for the benefit of the country and prosperity in the future.

There's no magic here since eventhough how promising bitcoin in  terms of profitability for holding it for so many years still we have a huge risk that we might don't get the target price we set for future and sometimes a huge dumps will came and that can affect their economy but I'm sure he know on what he is doing since for sure he have experience advisers on his side and have a proper planning on what actions they need to do once the market collapsed on certain times.

I don't think they're just buying it for the sake of holding it; I believe it's to help their economy cycle since they legalized bitcoin, and I believe they'll offer it as a payment method just to get people to try it, or they're planning something big. Though, in terms of holding it, there is still a lot of risk because we don't know what will happen, but we should be prepared for losses as well as wins because there are times when it is dump. However, risking is the best option because you will know whether or not you will win.
Buying a lot of bitcoin could only mean a huge expense from the government's money so i really think that this has been well planned by the country's leaders. The risks is really big because the market's volatility could possibly create a huge drop of bitcoin price and they might end up losing their money in an instant.

However, if this big decision will possibly work in the near future, then it will also create a big progress in the country that will also benefit all its citizens. Although this is something to be fear of because of its win-lose scenario, but knowing bitcoin it will always end up into a a huge success.
1835  Economy / Speculation / Re: The indices that makes bitcoin price on: November 01, 2021, 11:55:20 PM
It's not likely to move below the 50 week average just yet and if it did so it would be the first time for this whole year so especially bearish.  Some price levels are related to a rough sentiment that would match that amount of movement in the price.  I doubt we get it by month end but should we have a prolonged series of negative weeks into months it might occur before resolving one way or the other.
Bitcoin has moved above the price that it can correct back to below 50k as at the moment the Bitcoin correction benchmark is 61k and 59k respectively which is an indication of a pending Bitcoin bull run which will see Bitcoin moving to 70k before the end of October.

$70k for this month is not achievable as we see price has ranged between $61k this week and may end so. The moving average on a monthly time is not looking upwards and that is a sign of a correction of the bull experienced lately. The bull run so far got no strength guess we have to keep fingers crossed for next month.

the bitcoin market I see is very weak and needs strong support in order to break through the latest $67k reset. even though there had been a strong bull run after the launch of the Bitcoin ETF, but after a week there was an immediate market price correction. I don't know what caused the market price correction to occur, causing it to last a long time.
Bitcoin may be bullish this time and could anytime reach an amount higher from its previous ATH but certainly not this month because the market's resistance is not that strong. It needs more strong support from any big and significant news that could impact a big change in the market positively. And with the big whales that are always present to create price correction that could lead to a possible dump, but i think after that the market will gain more strong support that could also lead to a more pump in the market.
1836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will shiba inu coin beat bitcoin ? on: November 01, 2021, 09:57:20 PM
I would say it is highly unlikely but this is crypto and you never know what could happen, after the way so many crypto lovers react towards shiba inu and strongly push the price up even though it was just a meme coin, it made me realise the power of community,  shiba has become very popular and famous within a short time despite so I doubt it can take over btc for the top position.
Well, for me nothing is impossible in this crypto market because of its high volatility. The coins that are leading the market today might still be possible that they may be overcome by some other coins in the market. And talking about Shina Inu, it has a good demand from its community and i think it has really its own potentials that even if experienced its deepest dip, it will always recover from the dip. Its even better compared to dogecoin. So if we think that dogecoin has been very profitable in the past, then it won't be surprising in the future that Shiba inu will be very profitable in the future.
1837  Other / Off-topic / Re: Facebook Plan To Rebrand Name To Meta on: October 29, 2021, 09:11:30 PM
I think that this move was very carefully thought out and runs deeper than people believe.

There are speculations that facebook is doing this to separate their assets from their original brand to be able to preserve them under another limited liability corporation. With all due respect, I wouldn't be surprised if this was actually the case.

Hopefully this is a starting point for mainstream adoption of Metaverse technology though which is something crypto is going to be at the forefront of.
Hopefully. Its new name Meta might open more opportunities for crypto to be more acknowledged from its beginning until it will become a mainstream. Not just for Meta alone, but even for all social media platforms that have been very helpful to spread the news about crypto and luckily, also gain positive feedbacks.

However, this new name Meta from Facebook Inc. has its new plan and will focus more on the metaverse. Mark said that the decision was made to "reflect who we are and what we hope to build" refers to the company's new plan. I guess this is something that we should look forward to as it entails better visions compared to its previous name. And i hope crypto will be a part of it.
1838  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on a recovery mode on: October 29, 2021, 08:15:20 PM
Following the sharp sell-off on Tuesday where the bitcoin price drops with a 10% negative movement which sees the price of Bitcoin from above 52,000 to 46,000, which is a 10% sharp dropped, the entire crypto market has suffered from the crash in price. But as of Thursday afternoon, the bitcoin market has shown some sign of recovery where the price is heading to 47k the highest since the crash.
I think bitcoin is back in fashion to continue rallying again to hit its price target to an all-time high of $80,000 and will continue later this year to early next year. Even the improvement in the price chart over the last few days indicates that the bitcoin price continues to move above the rising resistance line. Therefore, as long as it occurs, the short-term trend remains bullish.
Bitcoin is now moving towards its new all time high as its own price continue to surge despite of its price correction in the past days. And if the momentum goes on, we will end up this year reaching bitcoin's bull run which could pave the way for ethereum new ATH too. Right now, everyone is positive about that unless a serious problem will hit the market and may pull down their prices again. I guess as volatility never stops, then we will expect inevitable ups and down for bitcoin and the rest of the crypto coins.
1839  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders always learn to leave when the ovation is loudest on: October 29, 2021, 07:35:47 PM
This is important to a day trader. I like to relate this to comedians. In comedy , I see that the comedians usually leave the stage when they have made a hit joke that cracked audience up real good and they just tell you there time is up and at this time the applause is higher the more. This leaves the comedian happy in his closest while the audience too enjoy the feel of their money.

In relation ton trading too , when you are at the top of your profit and you are not sure or certain of the next market spike or movement, instead you waiting for take profit you can exit the market and go with happiness with what you made already before price crash because most times when ovaction is laudest, some audience might start "criticizing and you get a wipe"  Grin
yup its always good to make exit than  expecting too much because market is so volatile wherein without knowing there's a chance of losing instead of obtaining profits, actually it always happened to me when i was new in day trading.. And it really pissing me off every time the growth rate change because i always end up waiting for the recovery in order to recover my losses as well. That's my common mistake, so better to leave happy and take the profits instead of expecting too much when it comes day trade.
If you are in day trading, the risk is definitely higher than long term trading so you need to monitor the market 24/7 so you'll not end up losing.

Well, it's a good thing really that at least you know when to make an exit from a day trading after you have made profits than keep on chasing for more profits because you think the market will be more positive, and yet the price suddenly drops, that means you end up losing instead. Set your own happiness and when you think you're already there, claim it. Otherwise, you'll end up frustrated while leaving the market.
1840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason for bitcon flash drop. on: October 29, 2021, 01:34:44 PM
Bear ETF, never heard of this before but if this is to bet against the future of Bitcoin, then it will not certainly win since the majority of investors are bullish in long term for bitcoin.  An expert once said that if you want to be a millionaire, allocate a portion of your savings into bitcoin, and I take that advice as a recipe for success, so whatever platforms would operate to bet against the bullish future of bitcoin, it will not succeed.

Short-term price movement does not significantly affect the future of bitcoin, sometimes it's just a way to scare the weak hands and if they dump, whales will eventually buy those discounted Bitcoins.
