1801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 12, 2021, 12:48:55 PM
So when and where will be this fight to happen?

They will fight next month.

Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo agreed to for December 11
Quote
Nonito Donaire’s ordered WBC bantamweight title defense against Reymart Gaballo has been agreed to for Dec. 11, Mike Coppinger reports at ESPN.com.

The show will take place at Dignity Health Sports Park — the former StubHub Center — in California, meaning that Donaire-Gaballo will not take place in Dubai along with John Riel Casimero’s fight against Paul Butler, which had been previously rumored.

Just a month from now, we will eventually witness this big fight for both Filipinos.
1802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: November 12, 2021, 12:33:03 PM
^^ Probably Rudy Gorbet is frustrated that he was blocked Turner. Imagine the league leading defender and shot blocker being serve with his own medicine, and then they are on the losing end. He pulled the shorts of Turner and it's good that he didn't fall badly.

However, again, it's always the retaliation that is being caught by the referee, good thing is that no punches are being thrown. But for sure suspensions for the players involved.

Gobert is good but when it came to a competitive game, he doesn't have the heart to help the team win. Good for him that he tasted his own medicine so he will not think that he is the best big man in the league, and with that, he will work hard to improve especially in the playoffs where his numbers could really drop.

Gobert is a big piece in the Jazz roster, I doubt he'll get traded as Donovan Mitchell and Gobert had that good chemistry ever since, now, regarding to the Turner-Gobert scuffle, I really think that Gober was the one at fault there, their team is up by 10, a simple block from Turner triggered him and dragged his shorts down which I find weird, but I am used to Gobert at situations like this as he has this attitude ever since.

Gobert has to be tough mentally also if he wants to win a game, he is good, he won a defensive player of the year multiple times if I'm not mistaken, so no one could take that from him, but if he can't play smart in the ring, then for sure his team will be affected and Jazz might survive against a tougher teams who loves to play physical but knows how to keep their composure in the game.
1803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can we avoid scams in blockchain? on: November 11, 2021, 11:55:50 PM
well its not that easy like just looking at the whitepaper . looking a bunch of stranger photos and immediately judging a project will be successful or not. In the end, it will be based on someone's belief in the project. maybe this can be a reference if I see how the developers are trying to promote their project openly. and how the project will be handled. whether realistic or not. but in essence no one will know what will happen in the future. I also often judge projects that look serious and end up being abandoned or failed.
Its not easy but its possible, you just need to take time to read everything and analyze before you invest. What we can’t stop here is for them to come in because its easy to create fake projects so be more extra careful before you invest. If you are in doubt, share that project here, someone can help you on this and they might give you some analysis on that project. Always be wise on your investments, don’t be a victim of those scammers.
Being knowledgeable will always give you an edge so if you are in doubt about the future of this project, have a good check on its history and the staff behind the team if they are not fake and are really existing. Because most of the time, scam projects will always look more appealing and create good offers that no one can resist. Because of this, investors will be lured and invest in it rather than investing on the real and legit projects.
1804  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks will die crypto will take over in 5-10 years on: November 11, 2021, 10:38:35 PM
It's horrifying to hear that the bank is going to die in such a short time. Whether that happens or not, what is certain is that there are still ways that banks can maintain their existence in various ways and ask for reinforcement from the government. Because the role of banks and governments in running the financial system, when it is said to be dead, is cryptocurrency a suitable escape? So where are the people who don't use crypto? will they feel the economic collapse? obviously that would be a big question.
For crypto enthusiasts, they will really wish for crypto to replace banks in the near future. But how about for those who are used in the presence of banks? This will really give them a headache.  So this is the reason why government cannot allow crypto to replace banks because it will only cause more horrible experiences. As long as government still backed banks, it will never stop from existing. Maybe in the future, we can see banks integrating crypto transactions so they can cater too for those who find more convenience in crypto.
1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: November 11, 2021, 09:58:56 PM
For the promotion, again a full one month could have been enough for this fight. And the one handling this fight have many experience in promoting a fight so I don't think this will be a problem.
Donaire's fight is not hard to promote, but this fight is between both Filipinos and I think they'll get little audience compared to Donaire fighting another race like Mexicans or Americans, but still I'm hopeful the promoters will be able to make it a profitable fight.

True, and no offense to Reymart, he is no name as compare to Donaire and even if he won against Rodriguez, boxing fans are not familiar with him. Even to some Filipinos, he is relatively unknown, if not for the fight against Rodriguez, he will still be under the shadows of most well known Filipino bantamweight champions such as Casimero and Donaire. But it good that there are also other Filipinos in this division, like Jonas Sultan who recently won. At least we can say that the Filipinos are dominating this weight class.

Gaballo could introduce himself to the world if he wins in this match.

Donaire is a popular boxer and he gots fans that will watch this fight, so if an upset would happen, then most likely it will make Gaballo popular, and who knows, maybe Donaire's fans will become fans of Gaballo too if Donaire would retire after this fight.

This is probably the biggest fight of Gaballo, so he is making sure he will get the W.
This fight is important for both, whoever wins this fight has a chance of fighting Inoue and I'm pretty sure that Gaballo is also not afraid to fight Inoue. It's normal for the fans to assume that Donaire would win this because he has a great win the last fight and he is more popular than Gaballo whom not everyone knows him yet, but lets see how this young fella would be able to make a strategy to beat the Flash.
1806  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 11, 2021, 09:44:08 PM
Its expected that everything would really be having that script.  Cheesy
Only a few expect that it's gonna be a scripted fight, but let me ask, what do you think would be the content on the script? I mean who will win in this fight and how the win would look like? I guess that's something we have to know so it's easier for us bettors to choose what kind of bet we will put in.
1807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your strategy to carry on making money when Bitcoin turns bearish on: November 10, 2021, 11:35:49 PM
This is why investors are advised to only invest what they can afford to lose, and to also get a job in RL, it's absolutely risky to depend just on crypto, the market is unpredictable, so you can't put all your eggs in it, thus on that basis, if you invested with only what you can afford to lose, then it's expected you have some other cash somewhere else, you can put it in some other investment or start a business, and then if you have a job, then you can also use the income from your job to start up something during the bear market.

Having said that, another thing is to try as much as possible to have diverse skills, making it possible for you to offer one service or the other, that way you get paid for what you do, and you'll not even have to worry about the bear period as you're sure Bitcoin will still rise up again and you'll make profit.
It will always be an edge if you have other skills that can help you land another job than just trading along in crypto because in time of bearish season, there are less opportunities to make profits. However, buying and holding your trusted coins in this bearish time can give you profits in the future but the question is when will be the exact time. Crypto brings a lot of uncertainties and if you are not wise enough to survive, then you won't make good profits at all.
1808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No more long term bear market on: November 10, 2021, 10:49:24 PM
It is difficult to say what will happen in the crypto market. Whether the bear market will come at all, it is difficult to guess how long it will last.  During the bullrun of 2017 it seemed that the bear market would not come but the bear market did come and lasted for 2 years. So only time will tell what will happen. We just have to be alert.
We can never really tell how long will it last, but the fact that it will really come, so we just have to prepared for it by taking advantage of our profits that we will gain in this present bullish season. Bearish season will give us good opportunities to invest again from those cheap coins and by choosing from them who will gonna give more value in the future, maybe we can stick with bitcoin and ethereum and some major altcoins because they have all the bigger chances to soar high again when bearish season is over. And it even keeps repeating every year.
1809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The reason why investors often lose money on: November 10, 2021, 05:39:45 PM
Investors lose money because they enters and exit the market at wrong time, poor financial management and also lack of proper knowledge related to assets they are all investing.

True. Entry and Exit at right time is very important for success of any trade otherwise you will continue losing in trading, you nmight win in one or two trades but that happens by chance or by luck. As a matter of fact Trading is ba wonderful Profession and it requires good knowledge of market Fundamentals, skills to read and understand Technical Indicators to make entry and exit at right time as well as awareness Money and Risk management.
Investors often lose money because they don't set up a plan before they enter the market. I think in every step we make in crypto market, there should be a plan so we can be more guided and focused to achieve our main goal. Although we can say that we entered in a bearish season and start accumulating coins, but the fact that we are taken for granted when will be the best time to exit, then it will still create losses in the end. So if you want to be successful either from investing or trading crypto, at least you should have a concrete plan and if the market suddenly turn sideways, you should have prepared another back up too.
1810  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin adoption by banks - good or bad? on: November 09, 2021, 09:17:05 PM
Of course this is a good thing, the more bitcoin adoption it will make the bitcoin circulation more active and this will make demand high and prices rise, banks certainly have a lot of strict regulations if they accept bitcoin then this will make both of them get big profits.
Good for most people but for those maximalist, they would still prefer anonymity offered by some dex or cex compared to this. Bitcoin adoption by banks could potentially be a stepping stone to further enhancements of banking industry. The integration of cryptocurrency to a bank means having more option than the typical fiat only transaction. These days where blockchain technology is far more advance than typical fiat system, many people would surely have a transaction in blockchain. But nonetheless, this move contradicts the vision of Satoshi of having a permission less, decentralised digital currency that needed no intermediary or central bank.
If bitcoin aims to be globally accepted in the near future, then it will surely pay the cost. No thing can be globally accepted that has not been legalized and adopted by banks and other legal institutions. For me, bitcoin adoption by banks may create more opportunities for bitcoin to be more utilized as a currency rather than being a sole investment. People will have more chances to use bitcoin more than fiat, and since bitcoin has its blockchain technology that goes along with this digital age, then most of the people will go for it particularly for those who are tech savvy. Although it may lessen its being decentralized, but i think it will also widen its scope knowing its already backed by banks.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online sports book, New York. on: November 09, 2021, 01:53:08 PM
This news is very important and would be related to crypto if one day these sites listed will start accepting crypto for sports betting.

I believe if the government is regulating sportsbooks properly, they should also consider how to increase the revenue of the casinos, and integrating crypto would definitely help as we know how popular crypto is now with its growing adoption. Someday, more competitive casinos will operate worldwide and they can take clients from this land, so if these casinos will not innovate, then they'll probably get outdated sooner or later.
1812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul on: November 09, 2021, 01:16:27 PM
There was a report that there was a no knockout clause on Jake Paul's fight this was the allegation of Claressa  Shields but it was denied by Woodley's manager.
I'm glad that there was none like that because Tommy Fury will have his hands locked if he is not allowed to knock out Paul, Jake Paul is in big trouble he is facing a real boxer, who knows how to knock out, he is going too far face people who think he can beat, there has to be an end to this Jake Paul show and Tommy could be the opponent that can end his show.

Someone needs to sacrifice the money he could get to fight like a real boxer to knockout this crook out of his imagination. He thinks that he is someone like a pro boxer who has worked hard to become champion when he was only fighting opponents that he has paid some huge cash. I wonder how much does he make from his youtube channel to host such boring event in the name of entertainment when no one really entertained on what they are doing.

We can't say that no one has been entertain on the show they are doing since in the first place many people still feel curious about how this shit show may end up, although its undeniable that this might be a boring fight since we cannot expect to see an intense fight from them but still the essence on how possibly Jake Paul could knock off his opponent will make the spectator curious to know about this fight.

And also, we cannot deny that Jake Paul is the star in exhibition fights because if he is not making money, he could have stopped fighting already, but no, we are still seeing him bringing more interesting fight and this time around is probably the toughest challenge for him as a real boxer is going to face him.
1813  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin ever get regulated on: November 09, 2021, 08:47:16 AM
This topic have taken the center stage of my thought we have seen how countries around the world are gradually opening the economy to adopt bitcoin and as a result a lot of government policies are already underway to develop a framework that allow regulation of the bitcoin ecosystem which have made me to wonder on this topic. Can a decentralized currency like bitcoin ever get regulated?

Bitcoin will not be regulated, but Bitcoin trading activities and people involved in Bitcoin transactions may be regulated. Roll Eyes
The coin itself cannot be regulated as it is fully decentralized. But as the government starts to adopt bitcoin, more likely that all crypto related activities will be regulated soon, even if we know the fact that crypto is far better more compared to fiat as long as transparency is concerned. Bitcoin cannot be regulated, but its centralized exchanges will certainly be because they are fully controlled by the government and whatever crypto transactions that are made in those centralized exchanges will certainly be traced easily.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors desire on meme coins are insane on: November 08, 2021, 09:35:42 PM
This is probably what many don't want to hear right now but I'm just trying to share what I've achieved so far since the last three months, I'm made more money from meme coins than every other bigger coins I have in my portfolio, not even BTC and ETH where able to give me that much insane profits in a short term, since I've been here on this forum I've never seen my portfolio surging high like this, meme coins are dangerous but their rewards are insane

Not a financial advice, what have your own experience been like with meme coins?

I fully agree with you. I have no idea where people come to mind to invest in something that has no value. It's like buying air, because someone else is also buying. I am sure that when the meme coins market collapses, the entire cryptocurrency market will lose a large part of the community. People just won't know why they lost so much money.
So be very careful, everyone, because this madness could end at any moment.
Well, we all know that meme coins are bound to end once this bearish season comes so while we are still in profits, cash out more often because once its market starts to collapse, all your expected profits will eventually turn into losses  in the end. For me, there's now wrong investing in meme coins as long as you know when to make an exit because if you just keep your faith into these meme coins hoping they can outperform btc in the long run, well that will put you in a terrible loss in the end.
1815  Other / Off-topic / Re: Deron Williams to fight in an undercard on Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul fight. on: November 08, 2021, 08:54:11 PM
.. with Deron Williams that are having a past wrestling experience when he's young I don't think so, I mean I'm afraid on how will Deron will going to receive punches either on the two opponents.

We're curious about how these two fighters will react comes fight night, will they have sparring first so they can stage the fight right, Basketball and football are contact sports but they are not hurting sports, where you win by hurting your opponent, I wonder if we will have two chessplayers battling inside the ring in the future.  Cheesy

They surely started their training now because they need more time to learn how to be entertaining in front of the fans. As what I witnessed in the past exhibition fights, I have not yet seen a fighter that does not have experience in boxing win a fight, but since both came from other sports, then most probably it will be hard to guess who will win, but let's hope we will get a surprise that would entertain the crowd, not to bore.
1816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 08, 2021, 08:31:58 PM

I guess this will be the end of Santos' career. Vic Manuel is a good steal for the SMB because he can work inside unlike Arwind who only shoots outside and doesn't do his low post game anymore. They really believe that TNT is a threat because TNT beat all the SMB corporation teams and they need to be better his new conference.

If the price is right santos is willing to move and accept that fate, who among us expect that Danny I who brings a lot of title to this company and he is not just a role player but the main man of the team, it's pretty normal to see players to go and be traded, the thing that I didn't expect is SMB will acquired Manuel who just traded from Phoenix.

I just looking for any good information but it's really a big surprise, with him, towering inside together with Tau and JMF will be the toughest core to dominate.

And with Terrence and CJ, it's a PH national against the PBA team. Grin Roll Eyes

This is a trade, Santos has no choice but to accept it and play with Northport, I don't know when his contract will expire but at least he is required to play while his contract is still on and he has to play based on how he is expected to play. After his contract will expire, then we will know if he will be renewed or he will retire, it's just unfortunate that if he will not get renewed anymore, he cannot retire with SMB where he won multiple championships.

For sure Northport won't be able to renew his contract with the same amount or higher once it expires because his current contract makes him in the top 10 highest earners in the PBA. Number 5 in the list here - https://www.trendrr.net/10957/highest-paid-most-successful-pba-players-salary-famous-richest/

Arwin Santos is 40 years old now, he might only get a veterans contract after the current.
1817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency must adapt in schools/colleges curriculum on: November 05, 2021, 08:15:26 PM
That's nice, but since these students are still learning, I don't think that these institutes are actually encouraging students to learn how to trade or do such activities at an early age but rather educating them early so that they have decent knowledge about crypto and how it works, then probably study a brief history on how even Bitcoin and cryptocurrency started from the bottom.

About being hacked, I think it's important for students to study about how to avoid getting hacked, learning the different attacks of hackers through the internet, it's mandatory for schools to teach that as technology and social media continues to rise, hackers will never stop, so this is an actual way on educating the students on how to take care of their accounts better.
Giving good education for young minds about cryptocurrency and how it works is a good thing to include in colleges curriculum knowing this will bring good future for them since digital technology continues to arise. But not literally that teachers should teach them how to trade successfully, maybe just an overview of a good trading can help students to sort it out in the future.

However, as technology arises, there are more scammers and hackers too have become visible and in order to stop this, then there should be no more fools to easily believe in what is too good to be true offers. If all people have become educated about this, then scamming may not be totally stop but it can be somehow lessen or minimized.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING] Logan Paul vs Mike Tyson on: November 05, 2021, 02:21:49 PM
You guys believe too much in Mike. All your predictions are based on his past achievements. His last real fight was 16 years ago and only one exhibition fight last year. I dont think that Mike trains daily all these 16 years. While Logan Paul as much younger, was into sports at least 1-4 years. I think he spends way more time in gym than Mike in last years. I am not trying to say that he will win, but he wont look pathetic or like a total newbie in the ring. Mike Tysons chances to win are not 99%.

You have a point there. Although Mike is more skilled and experienced than Logan but he is getting older too.
We never know how the young blood could turn against him. Although I think Mike will win this fight for sure I still think Logan will give a good fight against him.
Boxing is more of a mind game and Mike has all that experienced mind it needs to win a match against the not so professional Logan.

Exactly, it's the experience of Mike that gives him the edge in this fight, but if he could not end the fight early, that would be his disadvantage because Logan has better stamina since he is younger and he also have fought before so the experience is there already. This exhibition fight is very unpredictable, some would side on the young Logan, while the others believe that Mike is going to knock Logan down.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Issue of fixed Matches on: November 05, 2021, 01:46:14 PM
We all know that in gambling the higher the stakes the more risk is involved. But in a fair game what you are risking is your money, while if you are "close to the Kitchen", as you put it, you are risking your health, your freedom, and even your very life. Regardless of the potential profit, it's not worth it.
Yeah, that must be a valid point. Even a gambler is getting the highest odds, how much they could make? Some 10x or 25x of their bankroll? But if they get into legal actions, that may risk their rest of life; definitely anyone could make multifold of money from other opportunities. Honestly greediness must be playing and leading gamblers to go against their law here. A law abiding gambler never will look for such a fixed match betting for any reasons.

Recently someone tried to contact me in telegram for fixed match betting on one famous crypto gambling platform; not sure how true what they were talking but I immediately blocked them and deleted the chat history.

I would do exactly the same. Most likely those clowns that contacted you can't do sh*t in regard to fixing matches, especially when we are talking of a famous crypto gambling platform. It would be worth investigating if there was a chance that they could do something, but that chance is more than likely equal to zero, so why waste time?
I think these people are bots, they message random telegram users and offer their fixed game information for money, though most of us are probably aware of this I'm sure there are still gamblers who fall for this kind of scam.

You know, it could also look real because what if their tip will hit, then most probably the gambler will try to avail again as he/she is more confident, but if the tipster will run out of luck and bet will not win, that's the time the gambler will realize he was only fooled, too late.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: November 05, 2021, 12:11:58 PM
Fresh news guys.

Phoenix set to trade Vic Manuel to NorthPort for Sean Anthony
Quote
IC Manuel’s stint with Phoenix may prove a short one.

The veteran big man is on the move again and headed to NorthPort in a trade for former Defensive Player of the Year Sean Anthony, sources said.

The PBA Commissioner’s Office, sources added, has received the papers for the deal that also includes young wingman Michael Calisaan, a free agent signed to a one-year deal by the Fuel Masters during the offseason.

Manuel on a new team, I guess this one is good for the benefit of both teams. We saw how the Phoenix struggle where Manuel and Perkins production have dropped. It could possibly be because they can't play fast when two bigs are playing together, so I guess it's the right decision for the trade as Manuel would certainly be a huge help for the NP who has improved a lot last conference.
Anthony is used to be the captain of the NorthPort team so trading him is kinda surprising at least for me but... well we've seen unimaginable trades in the past right Cheesy. If you know what I mean.

Anyway, the inside defense of NorthPort is stronger now with Manuel plus add Slaughter. One thing more is that Manuel will have more chances to shoot at the perimeter because they have Slaughter to get those offensive rebounds in case he misses. For me, the NorthPort won this trade. The team has a good amount of guards and at the same time, a good amount of players who can defend the paint. Bollick, Ferrer, Malonzo, Manuel, Slaughter. This starting 5 of them is strong already. Lets see how the team will play a few weeks from now still Smiley.

It's a win-win for both teams IMO, why would the Phoenix keep Manuel if there's no improvement of the team. Look, they are better without Manuel and even before Calvin joined the team, Phoenix is already competing well, so I guess having two legit big men, Perkins and Chua are already good for the team, at least they can operate more as they don't have other players given the same minutes they get with the same position.
