281  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: July 09, 2019, 03:57:03 PM
Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.

If they are not included in the project team, it doesn't really matter whether they're legendary or regular member. I would think that people would find legendary more trustworthy than your newbie member but I don't know if it means they would trust legendary more than lets say full member.
282  Economy / Economics / Re: Can not believe 5 years ago you could of bought one whole bitcoin for this much! on: July 08, 2019, 02:26:04 PM
I know some people considered it expensive and thought it was going to come down from it. I knew that a time would come when that price would look extremely cheap. If you consider some of those "predictions" then your current price is still cheap compare to what it will be in the future.
283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop glorifying centralized exchanges. on: July 08, 2019, 02:19:49 PM
The main response people give me is that the technology doesn't exist to make a fully functional DEX, that atomic swap are too slow. It was never true and now that Ren VM has a prototype for running decentralized server functions to process the functions of the exchange it definitely isn't true. If bitcoin can use hash to verfiy the network, then hashing power can be used to run distributed servers and virtual machines as a virtual network, along with atomic swaps and regular distributed liquidity pools.

Centralized exchanges are quite literally evil. They are a failure point for cryptocurrency. If everyone has to do KYC and store their funds with state and corporate servers and give away their financial information to a financial system that is already responsible for predatory finance capitalism, then the very purpose of bitcoin has failed.

Without a working exchange that is immutable you do not have immutable money.

If the *exchange* is not immutable, then your *money* is not immutable.

Start building immutable exchange software, and for the love of god don't put your name or address on it. Do what Satoshi did.

I can agree with your perspective but in current environment it's quite impossible for most people to escape centralized exchange. Even if you can ignore slow process time, you still need to convert your crypto to fiat and vice versa since you can't do it through dex. On top of that people prefer things that is easy to use and cex have been here for a long time which means people will have to give up their old ways which most people aren't willing to do.
284  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrop millionaires ( Your success stories ) on: July 06, 2019, 03:52:28 PM
I just decided to post about airdrops.. i know still lot of members are not trying it. so we can motivate new crypto members to do airdrops and earn good money. also help to promote those projects too.

My biggest airdrop was HYDRO project airdrop. it was worth $500 when it listed in exchange few weeks ago. but now its worth more than $3000. so still im holding it.
a one good airdrop can change your life. so try more and more airdrops daily to catch gems.

that's a good amount of money assuming you got them for free but getting a million from airdrop is another story. I have tried few in the past with no luck and those projects never got listed on any exchange.
285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Manipulation of cryptocurrency exchanges. on: July 04, 2019, 12:45:23 PM
there isn't much manipulation from my perspective but some people have reported that they have seen it in the past. Some of them do it to bring more investors to their website, increasing volume even if it's fake can bring more people in.
286  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US lawmaker: Facebook must delay Libra cryptocurrency on: July 04, 2019, 12:41:19 PM
A US lawmaker has said Facebook should delay the launch of its Libra crypto-currency - hours after the social network formally announced the project.

Libra, set to be launched next year, will let people make payments via Facebook's apps and WhatsApp.But the company should wait until the US Congress has examined the project, according to the chairwoman of the House Financial Services Committee.Facebook said it looked forward to responding to policymakers' questions.

"Given the company's troubled past, I am requesting that Facebook agree to a moratorium on any movement forward on developing a crypto-currency until Congress and regulators have the opportunity to examine these issues and take action," said Democratic congresswoman Maxine Waters.

So there is a possibility, that Facebook coin will not push through, but we all know that Facebook is good at lobbying they can fast track this, I think this is good publicity for Facebook because they can prove that they are working within the boundaries of the law, in the end, Facebook will launch their coin eventually next year.

Yeah, I doubt they will not push through this. This could mean that their token won't be launched on due date and they may have to delay the launch date but they're good at what they do so I don't see how this could stretch for too long without some kind of resolution. I bet everything will change in few months. at the same time they're getting free publicity which is beneficial for them.
287  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Whats going on with most new projects? on: July 04, 2019, 12:37:01 PM
Even as market has been improving rapidly in the past months , why do this new projects keep failing?

Which new project is failing? I have yet to see one that has failed. If you're talking about price movement then you have to look at everything else too including old alts but that doesn't necessarily mean project has failed. it is just making slow progress.
288  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: House Democrats call for Facebook to halt cryptocurrency project on: July 03, 2019, 01:04:46 PM
this was not something that is far from what most people had suggested but as I see in the article they're coming back strong. I'm not sure this will do anything to stop them progressing this project. It says the data is separate but will it stay separate in the future? that is the important question.
289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Cheap Cryptocurrencies(<$1) With Huge Potential on: July 03, 2019, 01:00:45 PM
I wouldn't necessarily say that you should invest based on the price since going from $0.50 to $2 is no different than going from $50 to $200 which are both possible ways you can earn return. I like some of those coins listed and I think they have great potential but I don't see why they would be better than other alternatives that are way above 1.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Some Risks Of Long-Term Hodling Alts on: July 03, 2019, 12:56:50 PM
depends on what you're hodling. some of them can be considered more risky than others and long term hodling isn't a viable option for them but if you're hodling a decent alt that is showing continue progress I don't see a reason why someone can't hodl them for long term if they choose to but again how long term are we speaking of? 2 months? 1 year? 10 years?
291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The time of seriousness is disappearing on: July 02, 2019, 04:21:29 PM
to be fair, those analysts predict everything you can think of and turning things into satire isn't very new with news since it's done to pretty much everything that gets popular. btc in this case is popular kid in the block and everyone else is trying to act like they grew up with that kid.  Cheesy
292  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never buy too much coins because you would eventually forgot gosh on: July 02, 2019, 04:12:25 PM
I know what you mean. Having a diverse portfolio is important but if you get it too diverse, it can bite you where it hurts. Token swap can be handled but there are projects that completely die after a year or so and some of them even delisted from the exchange that's why it's safer to stick to top 50 if you don't like watching the chart all day.
293  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: July 02, 2019, 04:06:23 PM
Well!!

We all are aware that Elon Musk has publicly stated that Dogecoin is one of his favorite cryptocurrencies. At present Dogecoin found a new fan,
John McAfee, the most popular public figures in the crypto industry. John has agreed that Dogecoin is cryptocurrency gearing up for a big price rally.

What's your take on this, will dogecoin price surge up?

I wouldn't take Elon Musk seriously, he has been too much of a funny guy as of late and he might as well be joking. I'm not so sure about John either but may be he does believe it but he believes in a lot of things that don't come true so stay safe if you choose to take his words seriously.
294  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will FB Coin/JPM Coin Impact the Cryptocurrency Ecosystem? on: June 28, 2019, 04:19:52 PM
I have given it a lot of thought but at the end of the day it's up to the people. fb have huge userbase that is true but how many of them would invest in fb coin and hodl it for long term? investing is not enough they have to hodl it too or the value and its acceptance won't reach very high. Good news is that it can bring those same people towards decentralized tokens.
295  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB become the king of all coins on: June 28, 2019, 04:05:06 PM
As information from CZ: 1.2 billion dollars BNB is transferred in 1 second, which takes less than 2 cents

On June 26, about $ 1.2 billion Binance Coin (BNB) was transferred in 1.1 seconds, for a fee of only $ 0.015 on Binance Chain, disclosures of this data were published on WhaleAlert , a platform that tracks important transactions. The exact amount of BNB transferred is 32,888,888. As a Twitter user pointed out, 8 is a number unlike anyone in Chinese arithmetic, quoting Wikipedia: "Number 8 is considered a good number that even some 8s are considered is very lucky ".

With such successes do you think BNB will become the All coin king?

from what I understand bnb is a centralized coin which has its own use for those who likes it but it's not a fair comparison if you compare it to bitcoin. from what I can see it can definitely become more popular in the future due to hype that's associated with it but by no means it can be called "king".
296  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will alts really die once BTC starts climbing unbelievable highs? on: June 28, 2019, 04:01:07 PM
https://ethereumworldnews.com/crypto-vcs-bitcoin-nears-100000-2021-altcoins-die-off/amp/

Watched this.
Heisenberg Capital, led by Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert, two of the most early cryptocurrency adopters, gave a statement that BTC will probably outperform in the near term and will end the whole game for alts as the whole capital is currently being fetched out of alts and being put in BTC only to make it realize its true value. They believe that 2018 was all a comeback for Bitcoin to claw back the market share out of altcoins.

I've been watching and I'm seeing each and every of their word to be getting proven true as all the alts are just declining and people are trying to steal the only giant cryptocurrency - Bitcoins by only playing the leveraged trading games going on over Futures platforms and exchanges like Bitmex. The volume for each alt is declining to their all time lows while BTC has started showing greater possibilities of breaking its all time record highs once again.

Please share your thoughts on this and tell me what do you think.

I don't completely agree with that message. I think it would be completely opposite and alts would rise once bitcoin has reached certain threshold. People like to diversify their portfolio and it would be very difficult to put all that in just one bitcoin. There is less reward for those investing.
297  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix is gonna film documentary about crypto on: June 28, 2019, 03:56:09 PM
that's very good news for crypto enthusiasts. I'm looking forward to see how they will present the information. There are other documentaries on flix regarding cryptocurrency but I didn't enjoy them as much. I'm looking forward to see what they come up with this time and I think free marketing (not absolutely free) can always be good for bit.
298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How high bitcoin cash price go? on: June 27, 2019, 06:13:59 AM
Well! Did you know?

Bitcoin cash is performing really well in the crypto market, several crypto experts predict that the bitcoin cash price prediction the price will rise in the upcoming years.

I want to invest in bitcoin cash, can anyone suggest me how high its price go?

Bcash was trading low when btc was trading low. It's good to see it reach where it has reached and that statement about pricing rising in coming years is true but how high are your aiming for? I don't think anyone can tell you how high price would go since there are many variables that you need to consider most important being btc.
299  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Could the time traveller’s “2019 BTC price” become true? on: June 27, 2019, 06:10:28 AM
To be honest guys, I felt some goosebumps after reading the self-proclaimed Bitcoin time traveller from 2025. You can Google that right now.

John McAfee projected that Bitcoin would reach a million dollars by the end of 2020 or else he would eat his d*** on national TV. As the time traveller said that for this year, Bitcoin will hit $100,000.

All of his statements since 2013 were actually true.

I know that this sounds crazy or fantasy stuff, but will he prove that this year Bitcoin will actually hit at least $100,000 even one time?

We still have 7 months to go before 2019 ends. What are your thoughts on this one guys? Would love to hear responses from the community here.

P.S. If Quantum Realm along with Pym Particle does exist in 2025, I would like to travel back in time when that man buys pizza for 10,000 Bitcoin and gonna buy as much as I want lol.

People who predict bitcoin price are gambling with their mind. I'm not sure how legit that time traveler story is but as far as I know there are many probability when it comes to time travel and he is just one of them. I hope it does come true though but by no means I would give him credit for it since its really just shooting in the dark and hoping you get it right.
300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I went $150.000, into NEO (screen) on: June 27, 2019, 06:07:15 AM
allow me to congratulate you on taking a huge risk that most people will not come near. Once altcoin season hits you can make big and although most people would prefer btc as safer investment I don't see why someone can't go to neo, eth or any other altcoin. I would keep from criticizing your investment regardless of my own person view on it and I wish you good luck.  Smiley
