288  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to be more visible in the forum as a beginner on: May 12, 2024, 02:26:43 PM
Those boards aren't limited only to beginners if the newbies aren't confident enough with the other boards, actually they can start with their local because it is the way they can express more, next is what are your objectives in the community different boards have a different knowledge can acquire, if you want to get merits only seems easier to get noticed is to go in the meta board, and development board which is technicalities in terms of crypto and the forum itself, keep learning in the forum, share your experiences, contribute to the community. Don't need to rush too much or else you will burn out and become like other members who leave the forum because of they didnt get merits.
289  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Understanding dormant wallets for beginners on: May 12, 2024, 01:25:56 PM
I guess the number given is too short, could be the owner doesn't want to transact within those months and just holding, i guess on my part I will consider that address as dormant if the wallet doesn't have any activity within 2 years or more at least, there's a lot of factors why the owner doesn't have any transaction, like the natural occurrence, people have their wallet on their hard drives, lose the access in their seed phrase, lose their wallet physically or both, or totally destroyed due to other circumstances.
290  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I was holding on to Ledger and I got robbed on: May 12, 2024, 01:17:50 PM
I think this is considered a loss already, meaning that someone gets your seed phrase online or you leave your seed phrase in just with your paper included into your nano s ledger, most of the hard wallet have their at least two or three copies of paper which you will put the seed phrase of your account, this is the reason too why always keep an eye check at least a twice a month or day even though we are using hardware wallet still there's a possible unexpected occurrence. Seems like the binance or police report doesn't have a deal with the concern, the binance will just possibly block the account seems the hacker already withdrew the funds, and the police will just have a blotter just for documentation. This could be a charge to experience, sorry for your loss.

300  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why you should only hold Bitcoin on: May 11, 2024, 05:29:34 AM
I somewhat agree with what you've said. Bitcoin is the only "reliable" coin that you can hold for the long term. However, it doesn't mean that people should stop investing in other projects. A diverse portfolio is always better than hedging your bets on just one coin or asset. I also see potential in SOL, ETH, and other altcoins. Of course, research is crucial and you must not invest blindly.

Well it depends on the personal preference of each participant actually. Because if you are here long term like 10 or 20 years of investment, of course the most reliable digital asset that you can invest to that is available right now is Bitcoin. However, if you are just here short term so that you can play around with daily fluctuations then you can trade with major Altcoins like ETH, SOL, VET. Because there's no worry on it years from now. you're just there short term. You don't worry about fundamentals, you are just interested purely in possible 10x 100x or 50x of price of the coin short term.

Bitcoin shows its potential already from the previous years, the ups and downs, news related, crash due to covid and etc. People still keep trusting the process of the bitcoin every time, and we cannot deny this people now keep accumulation after the bitcoin make a halving bitcoin repeats its history, those coins are paired now with the bitcoin so if the market goes down they will follow. Those altcoins have their own uses not only pair of it so still possible there's a manipulation on it than the bitcoin solely itself. Holding is the way if you want to keep doing the lazy process of buy low and sell high that's all no matter what the current price right now. People doing this because they don't have time to become active in market and just use those investment as possible extra income.
