484  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day trading or Long term on: February 16, 2024, 03:09:04 PM
So I have been trying to wrap my head around which is a better option, day trading crypto or buying for long term keep.
While they both have their pros and cons, they both come with a form of risk and they are meant to generate profit.

In day trading you can make a trade within a week, months or more so you don't need to watch the market every time, in long term trading you just need to hold your asset if you get satisfied with the profit you've got you can pull it out also you don't need to worry too much with the market volatility because your goal is to buy low and sell high. Also, it depends on your availability to make a trade, if you have more time you can make a daily trading but if not and just want to have a small portion investment every market dip go for a long term.
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do many people fail in trade? on: February 16, 2024, 02:27:37 PM
It is normal to fail in trading we know how the market of crypto is so volatile which is there's price manipulation or also could be news related to the particular coins release, or any big events comes up to the active traders, after this mistake you can set another position but its not the same as it is because its another trade not all the time you've been trading are still ideal to trade, people most likely deceive with their perspective and emotions instead cutting it off and make a reset trade. Control your emotions stick to the plan most of the key to success in trading.

Excepting the topic proposed by Porf, I would like to add a new proposal Smiley

RickDeckard just announced that he launched the second edition of pie baking contest! Since we translated the topic of first iteration of this contest, I thought that it would be nice to translate this topic as well, as it is a very nice contest and I am sure that it will gather many participants, just like year.

Count me into translating this event!

489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What contributes to a casual gambler becoming an addicted gambler? on: February 15, 2024, 12:07:41 PM
I can add due to excessive/aggressive emotions, we know how gambling affects people too much when they lose their money in a game, some of them already accept it as part of the game. Still, some of them cannot accept that they lost all the money not fairly so they make a revenge game, possibly doubling the pay to earn back their losses or we call as Martingale strategy or make a wrong decision in current game result in losing over on their capital and urge to make their money back and make another deposit hoping at least they can manage to reduce their losses. However, the possible outcome make it double their negative losses.
490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: February 15, 2024, 11:56:31 AM
As long as they don’t take this motivational quote literally then everything is fine. Gambling can be a bonding activity among friends. Making a few friendly bets in a group chat is something normal that a lot of people do and they don’t necessarily view it as gambling because you don’t risk anything significant. If it’s an activity you are doing outside of group chats then it is your responsibility to not let it become a harmful habit. It might feel compulsory but if your friends are reasonable people they will understand if you need to take a break for a while.

Gambling can very well be a bonding activity amongst friends. But the kind of friends could determine how safe you’ll indulge in the activity. People could take the motivational quote literally. They can even take it and use it to motivate themselves, cheering themselves in whenever they incur losses. And the type of friends you gamble with would either help pull you out of that notion or swim with you in the sea of misery that would lead to addiction.

The motivational quote may really seem harmless as people wouldn’t really go on and follow such an advice, right? Wrong. People would motivate themselves and justify their actions with just about anything.

Gambling is a form of entertainment people want to add some spice to the game reason to have wages, and if you are a responsible gambler you know your limits even if there's a friend with you sometimes having those friends who keep pushing you and get bad influence to lose more money, not all friends are there's to enjoy sometimes you just need to know who is you real friends are. Those suggestions and opinions came from the person might lead you in a wrong direction. Listen to people carefully who you trust with. Not all friends are there when you don't have any.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Difference between afford to lose and can't afford to lose. on: February 15, 2024, 11:07:50 AM
On the first statement seeking money like having a debt is not the most suitable way to satisfy yourself for playing gambling you are just digging yourself into debt if you lose all of those amounts plus interest if there's any, In the first place you ca afford playing gambling why still keep playing because of getting hopeful to win a large amount if that's the case gambling is not for you. if you have a job and are just a casual player have extra money to play gambling it's just okay but at least still having a self control with your action sometimes emotions carried us out to make a wrong deicsion.

I have seen people do that and what comes to my mind is that - they may be super rich to be able to do that, I can’t imagine someone with just a $1000 bankroll staking $50 on plinko before he even blinks his money would be gone.  Majority of people you see staking high and hitting 1000x on social media are being sponsored and it would not be a wise decision to increase the amount you stake just because you saw someone who won a huge multiplier after staking big.

People who have more money of course have a higher chance of playing more games, still gambling responsively, there's a lot of stake players who bet a large amount with the risk of having a higher return, people often streamers got a large amount of winnings that's how social media powerful are but there are still lowkey people playing gambling with larger wages.

494  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you have a hard time bringing new people to the forum? on: February 14, 2024, 01:00:55 PM
Even though the agenda is good you cannot please every time the people to adopt the use of Bitcoin, you are just wasting your time, just make an introduction to them to the people who caught their attention with the crypto or Bitcoin itself you entertain only those not everyone would like to adopt the bitcoin and would like to know to those things who doesn't help too much to their current status of living. Also, forums always have visitors who will create an account, ask a question about how to earn in Bitcoin and then vanish and seem like never been here.
495  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why we need to stay vigilant on: February 14, 2024, 12:30:51 PM
It's easy to the fake ones now to create a duplicate platform like most of the time form of phishing so those people who aren't aware of the things they are doing are their victims, the reason why being knowledgeable on the internet is a must, your data now can be used for identify theft or fraud. Not in the crypto space but just casual use of the internet people easily deceive with these fake platforms and steal their credentials and if you are not knowledgeable about this you only not lose your information but also your money even more like in crypto.

Instead, people this days will just believe that all they need is finding answers using google search engine, and this search engine have lead many people astray, they will show fake website links and ads and newbies will sign up through them only to get scammed later.

Even Google now can be paid so you need to have a sharp eye if you are accessing a legit platform or not. Better you have a white listed website only in your device or ISP itself.
496  Economy / Economics / Re: Save while young better than wait on: February 14, 2024, 12:06:30 PM
Look, you can be old and rich or young an poor, but being old and poor is bad shit.

A surefire way of doing the wrong kind of things is to spend your money early or try to live a good life quickly without thinking about the future. Or if you have an ok job or income to think that is enough, even if you cannot save.

All young people, understand that time an money are linked. It is not the same to invest early than late, it is not the same  to invest more early that try to invest more later. 100 is worth 100 today, but 800 in 20 years if you play it safe but well. Make no mistake, you will need to start creating your wealth.

It depends on the abilities of the person, some people already have a backup plan made by their parents or grandparents so they don't care too much but if you are a person who knows how hard to earn money and you already have experience and you don't want to get experience from your children you will enlighten them how ideally use to save up money. Also tips from people who have experienced this while you are younger, it's ideal to save up money so you don't have to worry too much when you get old. This thing needs to be taught in school how to manage money properly so while they are young they know what are the implications of having savings and getting financially free.
497  Economy / Economics / Re: Is increase in minimum wage a good method to fight inflation? on: February 14, 2024, 11:18:09 AM
Even if they will increase the minimum wage if the inflation has continuously increasing all of the expenses will now goes high no matter what happens due to products and demand into circulation but if you are just a sleeping giant country you can easily manage those higher prices but of course, most of the country doing an import and export so there's a demand and price action hike. Reason id recommend not sleep your money in just in savings instead while having inflation your money getting a good income flow other than your salary so you don't get too much affected with inflation.
498  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is social trading in crypto? Do you EVEN use them? on: February 13, 2024, 02:11:07 PM
I know about Copy Trading, but I have not found any thing about Social Trading.

What are these and Do you use them for crypto?

People are now using copy trading because they don't have enough time and they just let other people make a trade on their own, with the help of the platforms offering this feature people have a commission and of course, they need to show off those details how their trade success win rates, it's up to you if you want to use this feature but are you letting other people have your money?, I guess in my part, not so ill make a trade on my own, it could be from a self-investment so you don't need to become dependent on the decision of other people.
499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC or Love on Valentine's day. What's your pick? on: February 13, 2024, 01:02:37 PM
Valentines is not just only for the couples, you can celebrate with your family too, if you think you can see the market goes makes a possible made to trade while doing the valentines and if you have a lot of time to deal with you can enjoy the market ride or else you will call those for a rest day just to be with your love ones, or the most ideal make a trade while doing valentines day but of course your attention will get distracted if anytime will happen in the market.
500  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which sort of investor are you? on: February 13, 2024, 10:47:36 AM
Through experience, knowledge and mistakes you can build your own reputation and which kind of trader are you if you know yourself already where is the most suitable and effective for you, could be in business, stocks, real estate, or crypto there are other forms but of course, we are in crypto. In investment, there's always a risk but you can lessen the percentage of it if you know already the possible outcomes, and proper preparation if you keep pursuing this or not at least you learn something if you fail. If you succeed go you can continue if not you can cut loss and take another risk.
