I prefer natural toning on my coins, gives them eye appeal and some character

I think first it would be good to know what John Galt wants for it and then divide that price by 256 to determine the raffle ticket price. If it's a reasonable ask, then perhaps those who are willing to buy it outright could buy the rest of the tickets and take a bit of a gamble if the value of a ticket is in line with what they were originally wanting to spend. I think it's important for the raffle to both get filled, and have the seller happy with the amount that it raises.
lol oh yeh the guy that owns it might have a say well good luck with it John my final suggestion with something of this value would be have a chat with a Sothebys rep in rare coins http://www.sothebys.com/en.html

Many years ago, I bought a loaded 100 BTC Casascius Bearer Bar. Now, its value has gone up so much that I no longer feel comfortable holding it.
The first bits are 1Gop7ok6. It is version 2. I don't have any good pictures but I will take some if there is interest.
I don't want to peel it, but I don't know anyone that can afford to buy it. Is there anyone here might be interested in buying it?
Some stats from uberbills:
143 100 BTC Bearer Bars were made. 91 have been peeled. 11 were opened last year. 1 has been opened so far this year. There are only 52 left (12 are v1 and 40 are v2).
Also, 1344 Casascius coins and bars were opened last year. 357 have been opened since the beginning of this year. They are getting more and more scarce.
you could go into a partnership agreement with an investment group example A the investment group purchases 66% agreeing the value of ( BTC + numismatic) comes to 125 BTC and or $1,000,000 fiat. you get $660k and retain 34% ownership. The bar is retained in Wells Fargo vault ( or what ever group buys in) and is insured. IG pays all fees and the property cant be sold or peeled for five years at which time it would be voted on 1 btc = 1 vote example B private investors purchase 10% at 12.5 btc a piece until you sell the % you want. Then placing the bar in escrow with a fee paid by all for by all depending on ownership you could have the same agreement and time frame. Viewing of the bar would require at least two investors and one bank rep at any time during investment period. Any one selling their portion would have to pay all cost associated with transfer of ownership. Who's gonna escrow this? Blazed doesn't beleive in using safety deposit boxes. This sounds like more hassle than it is worth. AND then viewing the bar requires 2 investors, so 2 people can walk out with a 100 btc bar and scam everyone else and one bank rep so thats three people plus its insured.. might as well be robing a bank.. fine details can be worked out there are no problems just people that dont know how to solve them

Your price prediction is alright but your reason for it is wrong. It's not the adoption rate due to which bitcoin is dropping in price but the correction that the market is going through after such a huge rally we went through for such a long time.
well I disagree with that because adaptation of BTC by other countries increases the demand and as always in markets supply and demand are the reasons for price fluctuations.

Have to rely on you Casascius collectors, the photos in the Encyclopedia are not high resolution. I stay away from eBay never bought a collectible there. @Kialara says he will auction two Ruby Labyrinths on eBay though that should be fun to follow.
I bought a few silvers there graded which eliminates fakes plus you can get scammed anywhere, knowing and or seeing your sellers past reputation helps too. I was wondering when these cas fakes might start showing up, happens in every market. Morgan Dollars and China Kwangtung silver Dragon dollar have been the ones I dealt with mostly as fakes. You get where you can tell a fake in a sec after a while.. just a different look along with less detail. My money says if you sent this fake to ANACS it’d get graded. lol, that would completely destroy their reputation though. If you can fool a so called expert then your not an expert I use to keep a 10x to 16x loop with me for years to look a coins just in case. I would think those graders do the same but I dunno That’s exactly why we all hate them. We get how pathetic they are. They graded a fake Sol which is simple to spot. Edit- not to mention no real coin collectors taken them seriously right now. They are surviving the same way Spirit Airlines are. No one likes Spirit but they’re still in business yep wow Im an NGC PCGS buyer most my life... I thought Spirit was gone lol... I miss seeing TWA thought they were cool, love the old posters they are very collectible now, the NY poster goes for over $2k now the Orient $500 to $700 and thanks for posting this too Krogothmanhattan <----- I miss spelled that about four time lol OMG make it five

For everyone saying that the problem lies on the rise of altcoins, sorry but I don't entirely agree with you. Yes, it dissipates people's investment but does it ends with that? Wouldn't you look on the pros that altcoins brought to Bitcoin?
For ex. did you think ETH didn't bring attention or investments to cryptocurrencies? (bitcoin)
Come on people, this is a market. There is always an upward and downward trend.
yes for sure, even though many of these alts can stand alone I'm just speculating on BTC price for now and how that effects the overall market. I have no doubt this market will rebound and will play it as it develops

IMO BTC is going to continue to trend down and settle around a range of $4,500 to $5,500 at a new psych level. Reasons are slow adoption world wide from other countries than Japan and growing competition from alts.
The alt coins had really ruined it for bitcoins. Now all the crypto investment is scattered among all the coins and bitcoins is suffering because of this. We should have a limited number of coins so that more people are benefited. yes you get it there are some great utility coins however that have emerged from this tech.
