Gavin coding SPV mining into Classic

 Grin Grin Grin

So the "nothing but Core with a 2MB block change" classic party line is turning into a load of total BS.

It is, and always was, all about politics.

pumpers become now the dumpers ... shorts will be ruthless with this puffed up nothingness
2823  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2016, 11:54:46 PM

It was just a dollar hiccup (of nearing death, imho).
Gold and silver made 2%+ today and us 2 lousy bucks.  Cry

they will hold bitcoin down as long as they possibly can using FUD, spamming, forum shills and price manipulation ... when they can no longer hold it, they will pump it excessively and then dump it, to add to volatility and destabilize/disrupt as much as possible.
2824  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 16, 2016, 10:07:19 PM
so where's the ETH ATH bag-holders club forum?

Not bad at all mate! I sold my Ethers and did over 1000% from the pre-sale so I can't complain really. What's about you? still hoping that BTC will save the world?  Grin Any news on the scalability issue?  Grin Grin Ho! I forgot... are they any dev still working on the development of your doomed coin?  Grin Grin Grin

... you sound like a good little parasite in training, good luck.
2825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2016, 09:43:43 PM
classic rubes are gonna dump for the last time, HODLERS will stay strong and pick up the cheap coinz then we are off to the races.
2826  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2016, 08:51:45 PM
I haven't made a bitcoin transaction in a while.  Just did one, expecting delays, with all the hype going on.  7 confirmations in 28 minutes.  Surprised? Ah, yep.

28min?!! i hope they kept your coffee hot while waiting for the payment to confirm! Tongue

LOL. This is the real problem with BTC. Ideally all the confirms should be done in five minutes, if that.

no, the real problem at the moment is ignorant people who have no clue what they are talking about.

Expecting faster confirms is simply idiotic, the system does not work like that, never has done, never will. If you want faster transactions use a higher layer (or god forbid get off your complaining asses and build a better on).
2827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 16, 2016, 08:33:20 PM
A spam attack .... It's a stupid attack UNLESS ..... the attack ....

..... the spammer ...... increasing transaction capacity.

We are sitting ducks.

Just leave already.

2829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: March 16, 2016, 08:28:22 PM
If bitcoin becomes THAT mainstream then it would be a gradual process, it would take months if not more for it to be adopted and used world-wide and for it to replace bitcoin it would need even more, people won't be affected...

... in that case, growth would be 'slow' at first and then relatively explosive, with 'slow' being a relative term.
2830  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 15, 2016, 10:33:55 PM

No, it's not dishonest. It's stupid. He is saying a ship sails better with no captain, just randomly floating with the tides, winds and currents and whatever the sailors feel like doing at any given time.  He dismisses the concerns of the passengers, who don't just want to avoid icebergs and pirates, but actually have specific places to go.

Many of us are now just looking for a good opportunity to get off this floating madhouse.

god, when will you finally jump?! so full of shit it's almost unbearable.
2831  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 15, 2016, 10:31:58 PM
I don't understand why so much money is flowing into Ethereum. Given that Ethereum is inflationary, and therefore has no fixed supply - it seems like a terrible long term investment. Can someone please explain why so much money is getting pumped into it right now?

it's the bankster's baby ... they got fiat to burn, and a new toy to rape it seems.
2832  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 15, 2016, 10:04:56 PM

2833  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor: Bitcoin hardware wallet on: March 15, 2016, 09:23:11 PM
Is it possible to use Trezor from an android phone?

Not yet. There is a library that allows Android app to communicate with TREZOR here: https://github.com/trezor/trezor-android and BitcoinJ people are working on adding necessary stuff (BIP39, BIP44) to their library so we'll have everything needed to build a TREZOR App for Android.

Very nice. Cannot wait to receive mine.  Tongue

I just bought a blackphone, so if you build this app, it would be nice to publish apk on github and/or amazon store or f-droid as I don't use the playstore  Wink

I read somewhere in reddit that Trezor does work with Blackphone with its own secure/modified version of Android (since Google is NSA partner) and Mycelium. Expensive but worth it if you have enough btc to protect. I hope the TREZOR team keeps supporting Mycelium. It seems like a great combo.

I gave up with blackphone. The usb otg don't work with hw1 hardware wallet. Blackphone support is bad they did not investigate at all and did not validate some support request I posted on their website regarding usb otg.

I'm now on a note 4 from samsung...

I gave up on blackphone when they said they wouldn't be selling them for bitcoin ... even got a snotty letter back from some high-up marketing idiot saying something like "why would we do that?".

Selling a privacy-centric crypto-laden smartphone and doesn't understand why someone would want to buy one for bitcoin ... i mean what an idiot company.

Edit: apologies in advance to trezor guys for off-topic.
2834  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 15, 2016, 09:19:22 PM
looks like that was the blow-off top in ether fart gas.

Prep yourselves for the years of the long bear markets ether luvvers ... or sell now and buy back at fiddy cents in 18 months or so ...?
2835  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ToominCoin aka "Bitcoin_Classic" #R3KT on: March 14, 2016, 07:59:34 AM
What about the exchanges? Do they have any liabilities to worry about if they start sending customers "Classic" coins after they've bought bitcoins? It seems like there could be no question that the original 1MB version of the software would be "bitcoins" before a court of law, but what about coins that are only valid on the forked network?

The intra- and post-contentious-hardfork nightmare scenario should terrify Coinbase (and their lawyers/insurers/investors) but for some unfathomable reason they insist on pushing forward into such uncharted, fog-of-war obscured territory.

They seem to be intent on confiscating all their users' CoreCoins (IE Bitcoins) and replacing them with BIS-friendly ClassicCoins.

Of course, This Will Not Stand.  But regardless, Brian Armstrong has been sufficiently motivated to go all-in by supporting the governance coup to the hilt.

... he seems quite desperate, like he has nothing to lose. Perhaps Coinbase is going the way of Gox, in a very NY, US govvy regulated kind of way though?
2836  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If bitcoin ever goes mainstream on: March 14, 2016, 07:48:34 AM
The same way in the past and nowadays people trades stock, play forex and gambling, all those kinds are to grow their porfolio, making money why with bitcoin would be different?Gold achieved mainstream and all wanna have a part of it,soo why not bitcoin can has the same process, interest into trading it and having it.

because BTC is not real, it's a niche e-currency which is mainly used of the black market(including ponzi schemes, hackers, drug dealers) and it will remain like that until its value will go to zero.

BTC is real ... it is now mostly being used for cross-border payments the potential market of which makes up 40% of current total global banking revenue.

Coming to eat the bankster's lunch chump.
2837  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 13, 2016, 11:02:38 PM
Lol, "bitcoiners" are starting to lose their minds, it's just sad...

yeah ... so what exactly are you doing here using the hated bitcoin's forum, all this doom and sadness might be too much for you ether bankster rainbow-fart pumpers?

pumping a hyperbolic crypto that has at present zero market uses, at the top, looks quite insane btw.
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: March 13, 2016, 10:43:32 PM

Vitalik  is not the only dev on ethereum. There are over 70.  Vitalik  has created the idea and whitepaper already.

yeah but the market wont care about that, it is all based on FUD, hype and perception. Mike Hearn wasn't even a real core developer and his tantrum dropped bitcoin 20%.

If Vitalik disappears ethereum would crash, there's way too much hype centralising it around one poor kid who's way out of his depth ... it's kind of sad how they are exploiting him.

What's sad is to watch "Bitcoiners" running for the lifes and trying to invent the most ridiculous FUD ever. Vitalik kidnapped? You don't even know who Satoshi is but you trust some unknown "core" developers and chinese miners and call that a decentralized utopia, lol.

Look man, Bitcoin doesn't even have to die because it has proven itself a good way to store wealth, like digital gold. As a payment system it's a complete joke that will never be adopted by anyone, either common persons or serious companies. It had its time and now it's really agonizing. Ethereum is not here to replace Bitcoin actually, because Bitcoin doesn't even have its own position secured, what's the use of it? Nothing. It was a unique and disruptive original idea that gave us the blockchain, the "currency" itself is a complete failure unless it's used as speculation tool (that's perfectly fine for me though...but many are still trying to make Bitcoin "happen", they think they could actually get a woman to use it for example...).

... so you're buying beer, pizza and coffee with your ether wallets?

Are you trolling? Is the same with Bitcoin, are you buying beer with Bitcoin? what are you? retarded? Why would you pay for a beer with "gold"? Same with ETH if its oil. These coins were not meant to replace digital payments. Digital payments work just fine for 99% of the people. They use Visa and Paypal.

so let's get this straight, you can't buy beer, pizza or coffee with your precious ether farts and it's the best payment system EVA! ... ?
