I just saw the news that this could be Andy Murray's last Grand Slam, he held a press conference not too long ago where he said he will compete in the Australian Open and then hopes to play his final tournament of his career at Wimbledon. We could all see this coming after his pratice match with Djokovic where he just didn't look right but he is going to fight on and try his best in the Australian Open. I just hope that he can get through okay and end his career at Wimbledon. Its sad to see a great player have this one injury that will likely end his career.

Alarming situation in camps of Murray and A. Zverev, latest info: Murray won just two games in a practice match against world number one Novak Djokovic as part of his Australian Open preparations. The Scot, whose movement was laboured, held serve only once and was trailing 6-1 4-1 when they called it a day.

A. Zverev: "Alexander Zverev goes down hurt in his practice match against Marc Polmans. Tried to continue playing but ended the match two points later with some sort of foot injury." The German was already a questionmark due to a hamstring strain.

Hey Andy was suffering from a hip injury which he had carried from last year, and even before coming he had stated he was feeling the pain it looks like he's going to pull out. I didn't see Zverev injury news but it'll be really sad if he's not fit for the tournament, I do hope he recovers in time. I feel if these two pull out,Djokovic will have a walk in the park with virtually no competition.

Too bad to hear about Andy Murray news though. I'm also a fan of this guy but it seems he can't really get off this year again. I don't know the extent of his injury might be worst than initially though. I'm still hoping he can come back like Novak Djokovic did last year, but with the latest news, I doubt that we can see high level tennis from him again.

Regarding Zverev, still young though, lots of good tennis ahead of him, I'm sure he can go back and be ready for the AO.

This is not the news us tennis fans were hoping for when it comes to Murray, its sad to see one of the greatest players of the last 10 years go through what he is going through right now. Maybe he needs to make the tough decision and give the Australia Open a miss and try and get fit and healthy for the French Open or take a longer time off and be ready for Wimbledon. I just hope this isn't the end of his career as it would be a sad way to go out.

I'm looking forward to the Sydney International semi finals today to see who will go through to the final. As most people know in here, I'm banking on Alex de Minaur to make it through but it won't be an easy task taking on Gilles Simon however de Minaur has had the easier run through so far so fatigue could play a part in this match.
2823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] THERESAMAYCOIN [MAY]|💠Crypto Currency💠| DIGITAL ASSET on: January 10, 2019, 10:20:11 PM
I don't think the issue is with the supply as to why we are so low in price. The 1000 block reward isn't going to last for long. After block 216901 it's going to be a 1% POS rate. The problem is the crypto space in general. The coin supply right now is only 95m... that's nothing.

May is simply dead when it comes to the dev. If coinmarketcap is correct this only has a 7000$ market cap. You can't expect this coin to be worth a lot when the market cap is so pathetic.

Of course with the dev doing absolutely nothing when it comes to the coin it's not going to go anywhere. It needs to drop Theresa from the name first of all. Supply is fine, and the POS rate should be adjusted from 1% to possibly 5-10% to keep people staking. I won't be staking this coin once it hits 1%... that's not worth opening... may as well be pure POW.

Another issue is when this coin does finally drop to 1% nobody is going to open the wallet to stake anymore, and someone new joining the coin is going to have a hell of a time trying to get a connection.

I agree with you, I have been saying for a while here that we need the dev to start working on the coin. The dev was offered help from a couple of guys I know but they never received an answer from him. I agree that most people won't stake once the 1k block rewards end and May will slowly die unless something is done.
2824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 10, 2019, 10:12:14 PM
Anyway, well done Indian Team. Record is a record.
no one will remember who played.

True! You summed it up all beautifully. after 20-30 years, no one going to remember who played in this test series. except for the result.

Everyone forgot What happened in 2007-08 series and moved on.

I'm sorry to say but I don't agree with this, in 20-30 years from now I still think people will remember that one of the best batsman in the world at the time of this test series in Smith wasn't playing for Australia and that one of the best opening batsman in the world Warner was also not playing. Don't forget that this ball tampering from the three Australian guys will always be remembered due to it was the biggest thing to happen in Australian cricket so I believe everyone will remember that in this test series where India beat Australia on home soil that two of Australia's best batsman were not playing. Like I have been saying if they were playing it would of been a different story and the series would of been a lot closer then it was.

I totally agree with that. This test series between Australia and India was completely tasteless without Warner and Smith. India might succeed again in winning the upcoming ODI series against Australia, but for the Indian team, that should not be something to be *very* proud of.

Indians have a lot to cheer about in context of this series. It was not that tasteless for Indian or every cricket fan around the world for the following reasons.

1. Mayank Agarwal: Debutant faces the likes of Starc and shows in a foreign condition that he can bat no matter who is the opposition and he's here for a long run. time will tell how he transforms his test career. it depends on him.

2. Hanuma Vihari: Numbers don't support him but he has only 4 test under his cap and this guy showed grit and intent when facing English bowler in England and same here in Australia when given chance or throw under the bus (responsibility to open, according to team's requirement).

3. Rishab Pant: He is my fav youngest player in this Indian team along with Prithvi Shaw. I have been following him since under 19 world cup 2016 and let me tell you he's a very destructive player. his average is almost 50 in test despite throwing his wicket with the loose shot but he played only 9 Test match, made 2 centuries in Eng and Aus and missed 2 in India by playing loose shots. so he will learn from here and with more games, his wicketkeeping and batting will improve. no one can deny that his last inning in England and Australia was a good treat for every cricket fan.

Not including Indian Fast Bowlers.

Alright, guys, the Indian fans took it way too serious, so I'm taking my words back; the series was not tasteless. I should've said, "the series would've tasted better if Warner and Smith were playing."

The only thing I'm afraid of is the possible "over-confidence" of Virat Kohli in upcoming matches and series; it can prove to be very bad for the Indian cricket team.

Good luck Indian team (and fans) with all the upcoming matches!

Yes I think some are taking it too seriously while we have been pointing out that the series would of been a lot different if Smith, Warner and Bancroft were playing. I have praised Kohli and the Indian team on the series win however they didn't beat a full strength Australia team and when you play one of the best teams on home soil you want to beat the best team and Australia didn't have their best team out there playing.

I am here because of cryptotrader85 tweet. I buy some Aced to start stake, how much is a good amount to stake with? I start with 500 Aced and see how it goes. I never own a masternode so I not know how to do it but I try and get a masternode here.

Hey! That guy is me lol

Its nice to see that my tweets are reaching out to people on Twitter as it has been a tough few months on there. 500 is a good amount to start with and will most likely earn you a stake daily or every second day. When it comes to staking the more coins you have the more times you will stake and more regularly so if you want to earn more often then try and increase your staking amount. Also it is best to split your coins up into say 500 coin blocks as I have found that I stake more often then not and it also increases your chance at staking as you don't have your coins in one large amount. This is for anyone with 1k+ coins staking. Good luck!

Nice insights on staking! Thanks  Cheesy
Personally I think ACED is one of the alts to be accumulating now as alt-season begins! Good entry point right now, perfect to buy a bunch of ACED coins and start staking... or beting at ACED Poker, for some of us this last option may be more profitable heheheh  Cool Cool Cool Cool Cool

No problem, I always like to try different things when it comes to staking coins as they are all different in their own way. AceD has been one of my best staking coins since it switched to PoS and even though I have enough to run a node I just prefer to stake right now as it has been staking well. I'm sure masternodes rewards are much better but I'm happy with staking and supporting the network.
2826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] PlatinumBAR XPTX - Rare Cryptocurrency with PoW / PoS (230%) on: January 10, 2019, 09:50:47 PM
Not sure what the hold up is with Cryptopia as several of us from the community have sent them add nodes to get their wallet back online but we are still waiting. Its not that hard to add nodes and only takes a few seconds of their time but for some reason they like to take their time when it comes to these issues as I have seen this happen with other staking coins in the past. I just hope they fix this asap.
2827  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PoW/MN] Gentarium (GTM) | Masternode hosting platform | Shared MN service on: January 09, 2019, 11:12:22 PM
Deposits and withdrawals being closed in all exchanges is hurting GTM in the short term, we really need need this fixed asap as I'm expecting a dump once they open again as people are getting frustrated with the wait, the longer it goes on the bigger the dump could be. I'm not sure what the hold up is, I just hope it is fixed soon.
Why?
Mandatory upgrade or some serious technical issues on the Gentarium network recently?
Why the GTM team asked exchanges to close both deposits and withdrawals ?

I'm not 100% sure what is going on here, all I know is that the dev team are working on a new wallet that will switch to PoS/MN. There has been no announcement on when these wallets will be released so I'm guessing that is why deposits and withdrawals are closed on the exchanges. I just hope it isn't too much longer and done by the end of January.
2828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 09, 2019, 11:08:16 PM
This thread has recently blown up with posts which is great to see as at one stage it was just myself, Kemarit and one or two other guys posting in here. I'm really liking Alex de Minaur in the Sydney International to maybe go all the way and win the tournament, he has been playing some very good tennis coming off a very successful 2018 so I think he has a big chance at winning.

Exactly, nice to see this thread come to life again with so many fans and not just fans but offering a lot of tips and analysis of the game. As a have said before, Alex de Minaur is the future of Australian tennis and it will be just a matter of time for him to be the a future Grand Slam winner.

Nadal was in action last night in the fast4 tennis event where he was up against Kyrgios, Nadal ended up losing the match but it gave him a chance to get some fitness up ahead of the Australian Open. It looked like he got through the match okay so hopefully he will be right for the Australian Open, I'm not sure if he will be 100% fit but even at 80% Nadal is a tough person to beat.

Bad sign, it only shows that he is not fully recuperated and might need some time to heal this body. Again, he is not getting any younger, might be another reason why his body is slow to react to rehab or medicine. Might be good for him to take some time off and let his body healed 100%.

Off topic: Glad to see you back on Bitvest campaign.

Its a shame that we won't see a fully fit Nadal for the Australian Open and like you said he might need some more time to get to 100% fitness again. I believe you and I were talking about Nadal in September last year where we both thought that he should of taken the rest of the year off like Murray did but Nadal didn't and re-injured his knee in that tournament which now has set him back a little. Murray looks good from what I have seen in his matches so far but I also don't feel that he is 100% fit either. So Nadal does have a tough decision to make, play in the Australian Open where he isn't fully fit or not play and make sure he is 100% fit and healthy for the French Open.

Novak Djokovic may very well be the man to beat in the Australian Open as this is his most successful Grand Slam event. Or could this be the year we finally see the young talent rise to the top in Grand Slams. Alexander Zverev is racing against time to be fit for the Australian Open after a hamstring injury. Dominic Thiem hasn't been in the best form of late but could finally produce the goods at the Open or could we see the local chances in Alex de Minaur or Nick Kyrgios win the Australian Open? And lets not forget Federer, can he make it 7 Australian Grand Slam titles and make it a hat-trick of titles? Its going to be an interesting Grand Slam that's for sure.

Yes, back then we know that something might blown up specially talking about the case of his body really taking its toll on him. Might be good to really skip this Australian Open and take his time to heal his body. Roger Federer already proved that it can be done and I'm sure that Nadal is looking at that option right now. Me neither, Andy Murray is not yet 100%, might be more of psychological issues though on his part so let's see.

Of course, Novak Djokovic will still be the man, but I know a lot of members will disagree. Most of them thinks that Novak is already old and can't go against the young talent in the roster. But we can't discount the possibility that maybe either Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic still have something to proved in this Australian Open.

I still think that Federer and Djokovic are the ones to beat even though they are the veterans. Grand Slams is where it counts and still we are yet to see a young talent win a Grand Slam on the Men's side. 2019 could be the year but first I like to see how they all go in the Australian Open as we might get a fair idea on how they will perform through the year. Thiem I'm expecting to do much better on clay the on hard courts so he could be a dark horse for the French Open if he is playing well. I almost won on him last year but he couldn't get the job done against Nadal.

The Sydney International is looking good with most of the top seeds making it through to the quarter finals, my money is still on Alex de Minaur to win this event so lets see how he now goes up against his fellow country men Jordan Thompson. Tsitsipas takes on Seppi which should be a great match to watch, its going to be another interesting day of tennis.

I am sorry for the confusion. It came out because of the Indian perspective and in the Indian context. I stand by it.

Yes, you are right no one will forget them. And If by any chance you guys forget this then English and South African will remind you for sure that why did they not play in this series.

I 100% agree that it would of have been a different story. Having said that now it's effortless to say this for us because results are out. That's another debate that they could face Indian pacer line up or not. I am not sure about Warner due to his poor form ( will back my statement with stats), but Smith can surely tackle them.

If you remember our previous discussion. This one: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg47442724#msg47442724 I was against one year ban( 5-6 test ban was enough) If it wasn't for one year ban then they would be playing last 2 test against India if I am not mistaken.

I mentioned earlier about both batting line up struggle and bench strength here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg47952602#msg47952602

Before this series, we were saying that both batting lineups are struggling badly. Be it India or Australia. But in this tour Indian batters played well and won the series. Special mention to team management. who dropped both their top order batsmen and one promising batsman (Prithvi Shaw) got injured.

It's not an easy task to do in the middle of the tour. Bringing Mayank was the brave call or moving middle order batsman to top order, and Debutant Mayank grabbed this opportunity by both hands. But it shows that India got strong bench strength which Australia Lacks by miles right now. this is the main reason IMHO.

Couple of points I raised in reply to your post previously about the pitch. guess you missed it?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1135451.msg49055891#msg49055891

I pulled up some records of David Warner and Smith.

2017 against India

David warner 38,10, 33,17,19,14,56,6

Steve Smith  27, 109, 8,28,178,21,111,17

Smith was in good form but David Warner not really. Brainfade incident was limelight in this series. kohli said in interview with stress that he saw Oz team doing this 2 times by himself and pointed out this with the umpire but no one really believed him.

Ashes series

Steve Smith was on fire and his peak during the Ashes but Warner didn't perform well according to his reputation despite playing in the home.

South Africa Tour

David Warner: 51 , 28, 63, 13, 30, 32

Smith :56, 38, 25, 11, 5,7

As you can see pretty average tour for both but my concern here is David Warner due to his form.

Rest is history!

I agree with everything you said here and I also called this series a long way out once the ban was set for the three Australian players that the Indian tour of Australia will be India's big chance at winning a test series in Australia and it has happened. However I was not expecting the Indian pace attack to play the way they did, I said that it would be the Australian pace attack that is the strongest but I was wrong with this as the Indian bowlers out preformed the Australian bowlers in this series. I also think people are forgetting that the Australian batting line up had only two experienced players in Usman Khawaja and Shaun Marsh but even then these two players have been in and out of the Australia team for years now. India still had a solid batting line up compared to Australia. Maady mentioned that India played with kl rahul murali vijay, well Australia had the same at the top of the order with two inexperienced batsman. We can all go on about this forever, I'm just saying that the series would of been a lot closer if Australia had Warner, Smith and Bandcroft playing.

Interesting that someone is using his avatar on discord, could it be him by any chance?

Well at least we got something to look forward to here as there was a post in the Rain discord that the whitepaper will be released by the end of January. We have all been waiting for this so long now so I'm hoping that it is very good.

It looks like I may need to buy some extra RAM for my PC as BeanCash is getting too big to run 24/7 for me as I have other staking coins that I stake so now I just run BeanCash for 8 hours a day. I was thinking of sending my beans to a staking pool but I prefer to sprout them myself and its much safer.

I could sprout them for you Smiley My Bean machine does nothing but Bean sprouting.

Thanks for the offer my friend but I'll just continue to sprout as I have been for the past few weeks for around 8 hours a day.

To be honest the price should be a lot higher then what it is and I'm not sure why it keeps going down, some days we get a little spike and then it is pushed back down again. I hope that we start to see the price rise again and get back up to 100 sats where it belongs.

I was wondering if Kees would be interested in getting AMS listed on any of the masternode 1 click platforms such as Gin, Gentarium and any of the other platforms out there. It could help give AMS more exposure and also help with newbies wanting to set up a MN for AMS, some of the newer MN platforms sometimes have voting for free listings which we could try and get AMS listed on so what does everyone else think about getting listed on one or two of these platforms?

I think it would be a very good idea to have AMS listed on these kind of websites.

I'm not sure what the fee is for these sites, I believe they normally ask for 1 node or two to list a coin. Gentarium also has a shared instant masternode service which can also help AMS. I actually chat with one of the Gentarium dev team so I can ask him about the listing fee.

Thanks Vella, it would be very nice if you can let me know their fee for listing AMS on the Gentarium platform. These kind of services could be very handy for people who want to run a masternode but dont want the VPS server hazzle.

You're welcome my friend, I have sent a message to the dev I know and I'm just waiting on a reply back. I believe it was a masternode or two for the fee but I'll confirm this first.

I've also been looking around for more exchanges that we could get AMS listed on and I think I found a good one in Amsterdex. The listing is free however the Amsterdex team will make the decision on whether to list the coin or not but I think AMS meets all the requirements on getting listed.

There hasn't been any updates from the dev for months now. The last time he came here to post was just for the increased block rewards to 800 coins per block and that was many months ago. There have been no developments at all and we don't even know where MAY is heading due to no roadmap or any plans for the future. Right now we just have a coin that mines and stakes which is going down to 1 sats and may even go below that.

Wallet is not syncing.  This has been going on for a while, on and off.  Can someone upload a bootstrap?  Perhaps, Cryptocity can host it like they did with Bottlecaps.

I was also having so much trouble with this wallet with it going out of sync and then not syncing or taking a long time just for the wallet to sync. So I had to make the tough decision and sell all my Buzz coins as it was frustrating for me and I was even earning any stakes due to the wallet always going out of sync. I know its not my internet connection as I don't have any trouble with any of my other staking wallets. Anyway I hope you can get your wallet sorted, good luck.

Good luck!

Maybe the best way to fix this is to delete everything in the MAY folder in appdata-roaming, back up the wallet.dat first. Delete everything except for the wallet.dat and let the wallet re-sync from the start again. It might take a couple of hours but hopefully this fixes your issue as I have also had this issue in the past with MAY but that was caused to the power going out which then gave me an error so I just re-synced it from the start and all was well again. Remember to not delete the wallet.dat file or you will lose your coins and be sure to back up the wallet.dat before deleting anything. Good luck!
- Thank you! It helps me!

You're welcome my friend, I'm happy to hear that this has helped you out and you can get back to staking MAY again.

I'm not sure if the dev comes on this thread but I do think we need to look at other options for more pairings for MAY, Coinexchange have other pairings but not sure what the cost is. I'll be surprised if the price can hold above 1 sats once the 1k block rewards start.
