I think that Manchester City deserved to win today as they had a lot of chances and the game was only played on Tottenham half side of the pitch.VAR is a great technology to have and today it just showed that this is a great improvement to stop the so called "human error" that many referees were using as an excuse.I think VAR should be implemented in every league, even in non major Eu leagues.

Yes I think City did deserve to win but a lot of credit goes to Tottenham for being able to get a point from this match. I'm upset that City dropped points in this match however I did win my bet on both teams to score and over 2.5 goals as I thought there would be goals scored which there was. Liverpool were lucky to take all 3 points in their match as Southampton played really well but the good teams find a way to win even though they are having a bad day like Liverpool have just done. Now we wait to see how Man Utd goes away from home against the Wolves, I'm actually liking the Wolves in this match and maybe they can hold Man Utd to a draw. I'm betting on both teams to score in this match.

I still think that the match is in Australia's favour at the moment as Smith and Wade are still there, if these two can put on a big partnership like they did in the previous test match then Australia can take a 100+ run lead and make it very tough for England to survive on the last day. The rain needs to stay away though as right now it is looking like it will be a draw.
1883  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 16, 2019, 10:53:24 PM
There was an upset today as Roger Federer lost to Rublev 6-3, 6-4. He beat Stan Wawrinka rin the previous run, so it looks like we have a giant killer in this tournament. Although he was really doing good tennis in the last two years but a injury (lower back stress fracture) forced him to miss and sideline early 2019.

Medvedev won against Struff, Djokovic match in two hours against Pablo Carreño Busta.

Yeah this was a big upset with Federer losing in straight sets, Rublev did it with ease which was not expected playing one of the greatest players of all time.

Not taking anything from Rublev, but it looks like Federer has a bad game, but in his interview, he says that he is fine.

I'm watching the Djokovic match right now and he is getting pushed hard by Carreno Busta early in the match, I don't want to say that another upset is on the cards but Carreno Busta is playing some good tennis right now. Lets hope he can push Djokovic and we see a three set match.

Djokovic prevailed and is going on the next round, it was a bit scary though as I thought that there could be another upset. Pablo Carreño Busta is no push over though, he use to be in the top 10, but Djokovic proved how tough he is and fought the storm, he will be facing Poullie next, rematch of their Australian open semis.

Enough with the Kyrgios tantrums, he is really a disgrace to the sport and to the Australian tennis, should be given harsh punishments for that action.

Yeah I was thinking the same with the Djokovic match however he was just too good for Carreno Busta. It is looking like Djokovic will win this tournament with almost all the top seeds going out in the early rounds except for Medvedev who might be the one to stop Djokovic.

Yep I am over Kyrgios, that is why I didn't mention it here because like we have been saying he can never control himself after winning a tournament. I just don't understand why he can't continue on with it after winning a tournament. Anyway enough said about him for now as he needs to learn to control himself a lot more and not let things get to him but not sure if he ever will.

We are getting closer now and I can't wait for the switch over to the Stratis code base and that there will be Solaris cold staking in the future. I prefer cold staking and will be doing this for sure once it is implemented. The team has done and continues to do a great job here and hopefully it will all pay off the them and the community in the near future.

After losing a whole day to rain Australia have really dominated day 2 of this test match. When Australia won the toss and elected to bowl, everyone thought that it might of been the wrong decision but it has worked perfectly thanks to some great bowling by Hazlewood early on that kept the England batsman under pressure. It was a good decision to bring him back into the team as he was the one early on that put the match in Australia's favour. Warner failed again with the bat so I'm not sure if he is able to keep his spot in the team in the third test match. I'm looking forward to seeing Smith bat and to see if England try and new tactics to try and get Smith out early on.

What is the next exchange we should expect and when? Cool

With all these new features coming for Sinovate, hopefully in the future Binance will list SIN for free like they have done for some other projects. I really do believe that SIN deserves to be listed on Binance as it is one of the best up and coming projects in 2019 and that this is just the start for bigger and better things to come.

That would be awesome, but I think the team is waiting for hardfork for dPow before they pursue any definite new exchanges.

They do have a good review on info.binance as well though.  So you never know

Yes I think the team are waiting for the hardfork as it wouldn't make any sense to try and get listed on any new exchanges right now before the fork. That review on Info.binance is a step in the right direction for hopefully a listing on their exchange in the future so time will tell if we'll see SIN listed on there.

Its nice to see that all the links have been updated here as there are still a lot of people that come to this forum to get information about KYD so it was important that all the info in the OP was updated. The team continue to work hard to bring us a working platform which will hopefully be ready very soon, well the updated platform.

And with that lost to Gasquest, Andy Murray says that he won't be playing singles at this year's US Open.

Quote
He had been offered a wildcard by the United States Tennis Association, but Murray said: "We were hoping to hold a wildcard until nearer the time and see how it feels.

"But the US Open were announcing their wildcards today and I didn't feel I was able to make that decision before today's match.

Perhaps he was just happy to to play again in singles but doesn't want to push his body again after getting back from his injury.

Djokovic vs Querrey next in center court, I'm expecting Sam to give his best against Djokovic, but in the end I'm seeing Novak winning in three setter here.

Querrey played well in the first set and was putting up a fight against Djokovic but he couldn't sustain it as Djokovic won the second set 6-1. I'm interested to see how Federer goes as his match is about to start soon so I'll be watching that, I'm expecting Federer to win in straight sets but hopefully Londero can make a match out of it.

At least it's cheap now.....usually the coin held value pretty well and so with the low staking percentage it was hard to get much unless you invested pretty big into it.

That is true my friend, the price has been falling a bit recently. It could be that some people are tired of waiting for something to happen here, I have been trying to find a dev to take over the project but like I said I haven't had any luck.

I believe the reason they are not going after a listing on other exchanges now is because they want txbit.io to shine brightly because it should be listed very shortly on CMC.
There are two main things for Solaris project:
Coinmarketcap.com seems not update exact daily volume in total for Solaris.
txbit.io should be listed on Coinmarketcap.com too.
I don't think people will feel readily to invest in project that have nearly 0.03 BTC in total volume each day. I knew the figure on coinmarketcap.com is incorrect, but if a guess just visit that site to have an overview on Solaris, they will quickly go away after looking at volume.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/solaris/#markets

That could be true and that is why the community and team have been pushing hard for CMC to listed txbit exchange. It would be nice if they could explain more on why it is taking so long instead of a generic message they always send on Twitter. I guess we just have to wait but I do hope that it will be sometime this year we see txbit listed.

Its nice to see the delisting message on Coinexchange gone as it could of been putting potential buyers off from buying GP so at least now we might see some more volume. Also its great to see GP listed on Unnamed exchange so now we have two exchanges to trade on which is good and in the future hopefully Unnamed is listed on CMC and then we can get GP listed back on CMC.
1893  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 13, 2019, 10:57:56 PM

My bet is on England or a draw for the 2nd test match. Australia is heavily dependent on Smith currently and I think they might be in trouble if Smith departs early this time around.

Me too. England have their homeland advantage too. Out of 5 tests, they should win atleast three so first one going bad is fine. They have more reliable batsmen than Australia currently. They should choose to bat first though to understand the wicket.

I think we cannot be sure of who will win the 2nd test match between England and Australia. The last test was pretty much even  till the forth day.
Both teams are strong and it will depend on them on how they start the first innings. The team who start to dominate early will have more chances of winning.

Playing test matches in England is never been easy for any team first test was poised fourth day otherwise first 3 days was completed dominant by England now we are heading for Lords here England's personal record is never been good but now England is is do or die situation so we can expect very tough competition from them and this is going to be very interesting match beyond the result.

Adding to this is that England are also the world champions and they now have a different level of confidence. This Ashes series should belong to them although they did faced the first defeat in the first test match. I think England will come up strongly in the 2nd test.

I keep seeing people here talking about England being World Champions however that is for ODI and test match cricket is a lot different and the team is not the same. It doesn't matter that they won the World Cup, test match cricket is not the same and the Ashes is the biggest in test match cricket so Australia was always going to be up for the challenge and maybe England got carried away after winning the World Cup. I still think England will bounce back in the series and even win the Ashes back from Australia only because Australia hasn't performed all that well in England in past years. I just know that we are in for an entertaining series ahead and if England can win the second test it will be very interesting to see how it all plays out.

How long have you been here? Was there any background? Investors?

Like 2 years now, nope just the creation and people joined.  No investors or such, all normal people who bought the coin and staked.

Well a lot of us early holders of XPTX are still here and staking, some well know names on Twitter hold XPTX and I believe are helping the dev so this is what gives me confidence to continue to hold and stake XPTX. Time will tell if it was the right decision or not but I really do like how this coin stakes.

[...]

Hard to see that Starc will be coming back. Don't see Aussie bowlers finding it difficult to bowl to English batsman. I think current bowling attack is quite good enough.

Addition of Jofra Archer to England side for the next is something interesting. He had very good figures in WC and delivered when needed and with current situation where England are behind in series it will be good to see how much his addition to the team will work out.

Strac needs to come back into the Australian team because he has a lot of fire power compared to say Siddle. Strac can change a match in just one bowling spell where as Siddle can't so Strac needs to come back in. Also I think Warner gets another chance but if he fails in this test match, the selectors will need to take another look at playing Finch. Its going to be an interesting test match to see if England can fight back and get a win to square up the series.

Only 8 days left for the snapshot

Yeah it has gone quick, I can't wait as I have the minimum 10,000 DMME tokens in my wallet waiting for the snapshot day to come. Also I'm not sure if we also receive the 5% from cold staking? If we do then its going to be a great month for holding DMME.

There are a lot of good suggestions here however I think it is best if you can post these in the GTM discord server so the dev can see them as I don't believe the dev comes on here much anymore. A collateral increase may help in the short term but not sure about long term.
1899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: August 09, 2019, 10:36:17 PM
And of course, Kyrgios is out in the first round of the next tournament. Kyle Edmund was good enough to win in two easy sets. Should have placed a bet on this one since I had a feeling Kyrgios celebrated after winning Washington and this match was quite soon after that final.

It seems nobody is watching early rounds at Montreal or at least writing about it? I usually like to bet in early rounds since it is easier to predict some upsets with good odds, but this time I didn't even had time to browse trough offer.

Kyrgios defeat is surprising as I was expecting his victory at Washington to inspire him to win more titles, it’s about time he get serious about how he plays his game. The fight with the umpire regarding the lack of towels was unnecessary, and on the other hand Edmund kept his cool and won the match. Earlier rounds can get tricky at times especially in matches like this, you never know when Kyrgios is in mood and when he isn’t.

Source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/tennis/9671243/watch-tennis-nick-kyrgios-umpire-white-towel/

No surprise for me as like I said, he always does this after winning a tournament, just go back and see how he has performed after winning a tournament. This is why no one can rely on him because he is too inconsistent, I'm still hoping for that day when he is able to put it all together but until that day comes I can't take him seriously.

Correct, when he lost interest, for sure it doesn't matter who is the man facing him, he will suddenly suddenly slip another worst performance. And as a tennis gambler, really hard to bet on him, never get the chance to have money because of his inconsistency. If you won betting on him on the last tournament then good for you. But the fact that he is very inconsistent? You need to be very very lucky to win big money specially if he is the underdog.

I don't really know when we are going to see him putting it all together though, doubt it will happen.

Kyrgios is one player I would never bet on unless we start to see him playing more consistent tennis. I bet that he has cost a lot of people a lot of money over the years because he is too inconsistent. Like we have seen, every time he has a good tournament and wins, the next tournament he doesn't seem to care and loses matches. We are just waiting for that day my friend but like you I doubt that it will ever happen.
1900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: August 09, 2019, 10:30:50 PM
Nigeria has been given a slot in the T20 World Cup Qualifiers for the first time, after the ICC disqualified Zimbabwe. A total of 14 teams will be taking part in the tournament, and out of that number 6 will qualify for the initial stage of the 2020 T20 World Cup. At the same time, an announcement came from the Zimbabwe Cricket Board, confirming their participation in a T20I tri-series in Bangladesh next month (together with Afghanistan). I am not sure whether this tournament will go ahead or not, as they don't have ICC membership now.

Most of the cricket fans will be feeling bad for Zimbabwe. But they were given multiple chances and they failed to reform. On top of that, as a test playing nation they were receiving huge amounts of funding from the ICC, most of which was lost to corruption. These funds would have been better spent on emerging teams such as Nepal and Afghanistan (who despite being a test nation receives only a fraction of the funding that Zimbabwe gets) and therefore I would say that the suspension of Zimbabwe may be good for the expansion of the game.

I am one of them cricket fans that is sad to see this happen to Zimbabwe. I still remember when they started playing cricket on the big stage and to now see them where they are not being able to play in the big tournaments is sad to see as they were once a decent team and even upset some big teams on their day but it is looking like it could become the end of Zimbabwe playing cricket.

The positive is that this opens up the doors for other cricket nations so lets see how Nigeria performs in the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifiers.

What happening in Zimbabwe is sad and due to the ICC ruling, there is going to be a lot of heartache and pain among the cricket lovers in Zimbabwe. But in the end, it is about making the decision as fair as possible and I don't think that we can blame the ICC here. Zimbabwe is currently under sanctions, as a result of the human rights violations and there is frequent political violence in that country. Despite that, they were allowed to participate in the ICC tournaments and most importantly they were receiving funding from the ICC (most of which was getting stolen).

As per the latest financial model from ICC, Zimbabwe was supposed to receive $94 million during the 2015-2023 cycle (the 92 associate members of ICC receive a total of $130 million, at an average of $1.41 million per country for the eight year period). This is despite the fact that cricket remains very unpopular among the native Zimbabweans and most of the white players emigrating to countries such as Australia and England. Now tell me how this can be justified when cricket crazy nations like Nepal and PNG receive less than one-tenth of the funding that Zimbabwe receives?

Yeah it doesn't make sense to me as to why Zimbabwe receive a bigger share then Nepal and PNG. When it comes to money in sport I never understand how some teams receive the bulk of the share while others receive a small amount. Nepal does deserve a lot more of the share as they are one of the up and coming teams in world cricket and the ICC really need to help them out with more funding to keep the young talent interested in playing for their country. Its sad to say but I think Zimbabwe need to be kicked out of playing cricket as there is no support anymore from the country so why keep it going, it doesn't make any sense. Up and coming countries deserve to have a shot on the big stage and see how they go.
