Hope everyone is doing well. I'm plugging along at the online wallet and working on picking up our trading volume. Cheers everyone. More updates soon!

Looking forward to the upcoming updates, I think the trading volume will start to pick up once more people know that you are back and working on the project again. Do you still have access to the Gold Pieces Twitter account? If so you could make a tweet or two and let people know that you are working on GP and also post the updates on there as well.

That is interesting to read that Federer feels that he is at he's best in years coming into this years US Open. To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing him win it again as it has been over 10 years since he last won the US Open so it would be nice to see him win it maybe for the last time.

His mind set is really different and I think that is one factors that really sets him apart, and that winning attitude. He still challenges himself to be great every tournament and games, just like Tom Brady. Just like him, Tom even at 42, the competitive fire is still there and despite winning more trophies, both of them are hungrier. I would also like to see Roger win another US Open and that will be a feather in his cap if ever he retires. This is also interesting for Osaka, she won last year, but 2019 doesn't look good for her. And remember the umpire that worked last year between Osaka and Williams? He will not be working for either of the sister in this year's US Open.

Federer always had an attitude of never giving up irrespective of the situation, you’ll never see him complain or make excuses for his loss. If he’s determined to win the US open then he may just win it too, even at this age he’s yet hungry for success and yet wishes to add to his trophy collection. @vella85 there’s no news about him retiring, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned up next year to play in this tournament.

Yeah we are yet to hear if Federer will be retiring at the end of the year but going by the way he is talking I'm thinking that he will go on another year if he is fit and healthy. I personally would love to see him win another Grand Slam before he retires as he deserves to win another one and go out on a high.

I think he will go for another Grand Slam before he retires. Also, we haven't seen him slowing down, so I'm sure he will still chase for another Grand Slam and then see how his body will react till next year. He also master the art of taking his body and listening to it, that's why he was able to maintain his form and still perform at a high level. And it will be fitting for him to exit with a bang and raise another trophy.

I agree my friend, Federer still has another Grand Slam win in him.

The US Open has started and there has been one upset already with Fognini losing to the American Opelka in four sets. Djokovic and Medvedev won in straight sets and now I'm just waiting to see Federer playing in a couple of hours from now. On the Women's side Kerber losing in three sets was an upset I didn't see coming. Ash Barty had a scare losing the first set 6-1 but bounced back to win the match, she worries me sometimes as she loses the first set on many occasions but is good enough to come back and win, I guess that she is a slow starter sometimes.

Its good to see that people are starting to bet with AceD, I myself plan to have a few bets each week once the NFL season starts in just over a week from now. I still think that 2020 will be a big year for AceD coin as hopefully by then Poker will be in full swing along with the betting platform.

development of poker made some huge progress the last days. i hope dev will be able to fix all bugs very soon. discord bets are going crazy the last days, really cool feature during the time we are all waiting for the website of acedbets Smiley

That is great! I have been away from Discord for over a week as I have been going through a tough time in my life but its good to hear that members are betting in there and like I said I will most likely have a few bets once the NFL season kicks off in just over a week.

Australia had their chances to win the match but it wasn't to be. I can't believe Lyon missed that run out chance which would of sealed the win for Australia however that umpiring decision to not give the LBW was very bad as it was plum but again Australia have them self to blame on reviewing a poor decision with the ball clearly going down the leg side. Like I said before the series started I think England will win the Ashes and now this can become a reality as they will have all the momentum going into the fourth test match and will be hard to stop.

I was very happy to see Man City win and over 2.5 goals were scored but I missed out in the Tottenham match as I thought that this match would also have many goals scored as it was played at Tottenham's home but they played poor and Newcastle deserved the win.

After Lyon got Root out it looks like Stokes and Bairstow are trying to play for a draw which is crazy considering there is still another day to go. They should play their shots and go for the win as England are in striking distance. If Australia get Stokes with the new ball then it will be over for England and Australia will retain the Ashes. Its going to be an interesting hour before lunch.
1849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 24, 2019, 11:31:43 PM
Day 4 is going to be an interesting day as England are in with a shot of winning the match if Ben Stokes can stick with Root. Hazlewood will be the key to Australia winning as the pitch doesn't look like its doing much now but Hazlewood seems to get the ball in the right places to take wickets. We should see a result on day 4 as I can't see it going into day 5 and if England get the win it would be a huge momentum swing in England's favour for the rest of the series.

Man Utd still have time to turn it around as its only three games in. I can remember the days where no team could beat them at home and now we have seen in the past few years lower ranked teams beating them at home and sometimes winning easily. Man Utd have lost that winning mentality playing at home and no teams fear them anymore. I still think they can finish in the top four this season but they will need to improve to do so.

This is great to hear as I myself am sick of paying for VPS costs to run masternodes which isn't very profitable right now but I keep them running hoping for the future gains. I'm glad that the Solaris team have been working with a cold staking platform for us to cold stake for free as like you said it will attract a lot of people into Solaris as I think everyone is getting tired of masternodes and staking with the computer/laptop running 24/7. I'm really looking forward to the changes and like I said I have been slowly accumulating more Solaris ready for these changes.
It is significant change, for Solaris, and for masternode coin ecosystem, because investors can stake without VPS and computer operations. Anyway, I have another question relates to cold staking, that is, will it create more inflation, and more weak hands. Because without cost of VPS, more people will join to stake, that might in turn result in more weak hands, who will dump their coins at cheap price. Cold staking somehow help investors reduce their risks by not depending on VPS service or masternode hosting service platforms, that might shut down and do scam exits whenever they want.
I don't think so.
The staking emission rate is constant.
With the growth of community it will just spread on more people making each one amount's percentage less significant

I agree, I don't think that people will sell. I actually think it will be the opposite as there is no need to sell coins as there is no outlay when compared to hosting a masternode on a VPS, most people sell a certain amount of coins each month from their masternodes to cover the costs of running their masternodes on VPS. So with no VPS costs there is no need to sell and we should see people hold long term for when the price starts to get back to its ATH. Its going to be an interesting time for Solaris to see how all this plays out in the coming months. I also forgot to mention that the more people hold and have linked to txbit the more of the pie they earn from txbit so that is another reason to hold long term and build up your stake.

I feel that Medvedev  (who already became "black cat " for Djokovic) and Thiem will soon replace "Big 3" and become new champions.
Djokovic,  Nadal and Federer are to long on the top and people wants to see new players on the top.
They are still young and need more experience and stability but they will come on the top eventually,  in a few years.

I do hope that Medvedev will continue his strong showings, specially on a bigger stage. We have seen lots of potential players to really challenge the "Big 3", but all of them came short when they are in a Grand Slam that's why the Djokovic, Nadal and Federer continues to dominate the tennis world even at their age. If Medvedev goes on to win the US Open, then I would say yes, so it will be very interesting to see how he will do in this year US Open. Do I really wanted to see new players coming up? Definitely, but they need to prove it by winning the big tournaments in tennis.

I totally agree as we have been talking about this on here for over a year now. Every time we think that one of the up and coming young talent is going to win a Grand Slam they don't because of the pressure from the top 3. I also think a lot of it is to do with being nervous playing Nadal, Djokovic and Federer in big matches like Grand Slam finals and that is why we always see the young talent lose as that is when the top 3 bring their A game where as the lead up tournaments I don't think they worry about so that is why we always see the up and coming guys beat the top 3. Lets hope we start to see a change in the US Open, we are yet to see Nadal in action so he will be fresh and ready to go for the US Open.

Exactly, we have sounded like a broken record here for years. Those young players need to really step up the plate against the big 3 otherwise they will continue to dominate this game and show their experience. Medvedev is already on the stage wherein he had matured already and have the capability to face the top 3 in the biggest show, the US Open. I think the qualifiers has started,  and the top seeds are:

1. Djokovic
2. Nadal
3. Federer
4. Thiem
5. Medvedev

Yeah we have my friend, I was looking back in this thread and I can't believe how fast time goes by as it has been a couple of years now since we started talking about the young talent. At the time it was players like Kyrgios, Thiem and Zverev who should all be challenging for Grand Slams and even winning but we are yet to see this. Medvedev has stepped up recently and looks to be the best chance for the up and coming guys as even though Thiem is ranked 4th seed I don't think he is all that good on hard courts just yet and is more suited to clay so I don't like he's chances in the US Open.

True. Reading some interview on Roger Federer:

https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/roger-federer-feeling-better-ever-172004717.html

“Two years ago I came in with a back issue a little bit, I had a struggle early on with five-setters. Last year I struggled with the heat against (John) Millman. Obviously in 2016 I missed it entirely.

“We were saying on the practice court two days ago that this is probably the best I’ve felt in years coming into the US Open again, which is encouraging.

It looks like his very positive on his chance on the upcoming US Open. And that what's separate elite tennis players from the good ones. Elite players are very optimistic with there chances of winning another grandslam as opposed to many talented players we have right now, they don't have the mentality of champions like the big 3 and that is the main reason why they falter in this Grand Slams.

That is interesting to read that Federer feels that he is at he's best in years coming into this years US Open. To be honest I wouldn't mind seeing him win it again as it has been over 10 years since he last won the US Open so it would be nice to see him win it maybe for the last time.

Personally,  I also like Federer,  and it will be really perfect end that after so long time Federer win the US Open but I doubt about it.
Right now,  Djokovic is number 1 and have biggest chances to win US Open.
Nadal and Federer are behind him and don't have much chances.
In fact,  if Djokovic stay healthy and ready,  I think he have very big chance to replace Federer and win more Grand Slams in a next a few years.
I don't think that Medvedev,  Thiem or any other young player will replace this "big 3" before they retire.

I actually think that the young talent can win a Grand Slam before the big 3 retire, they just need to control their nerves when playing the big 3 in Grand Slams as they have shown that in other tournaments they can beat the big 3 however I don't think they play at their best in the other tournaments. I can see that after the big 3 retire that the Men's side will become like the Women's and we'll see many different players winning Grand Slams like we see on the Women's side. I said a while ago that I think Djokovic will surpass Federer in the future which we could see in the next 2 years.

@Kemarit

I agree my friend, Federer is very like Brady as they keep going and want to win even at their ages. I think age doesn't mean anything in sports any more as the mind is very powerful and if the player/s have the right mindset they can go on for how ever long they like as long as they body stays healthy.

That is true my friend however that is why we never put our eggs in one basket, that way it spreads the risk around. I was able to buy GTM with profits from another coin so for me its okay to hold and that I believe in the team. Yes Silence from the team isn't helping the situation but hopefully they are working on one of their use cases for GTM and that it will be released soon.
The trend is likely changed, and cold-staking might be another trend. I don't know that Gentarium team actually have plans to adapt to that trend change in masternode/PoS coin and hosting service industry or not. Let's see. I agree with you that the team's silence is not good, generally, and should be broken as soon as possible. Investors have their feelings, and their own ability to control their patience and their emotions. When they lose patience, and uncontrollable emotions, they might dump all their Gentarium coins, even price already fell to low range.

The masternode trend has changed for sure as there were too many scam masternode projects and over hyped projects that hurt a lot of people with pump and dumps. The main thing with GTM is that its still here and hasn't given in just yet so hopefully the team have some big news soon on where they are heading in the future.

Maybe we can try and get Triangles listed on Unnamed exchange so that we have two exchanges. A lot of people can't use Nova exchange which is why I think Triangles is struggling right now with price and volume so another exchange is needed and Unnamed I think is a good choice for now.

The third test match between England and Australia has been entertaining so far, it really is a bowlers pitch as 26 wickets have fallen in 2 days. Warner needs to be dropped in my opinion as he has failed again with the bat, Finch deserves a go and I think that will happen in the next test match. Labuschagne has been the shining light for Australia in this match and has put Australia in a strong position after day 2, I think if he can make a century and the tail stick around Australia will certainly win the match. 300+ runs will be very tough to chase down on this pitch with the way it is playing.

It was more than a year, they could not open the platform. The team is not doing any work on the discord channel. They're just talking. So much time has passed just a falling coin. A coin without development. Unfortunately my trust in this coine is now over.

Well there are a lot of other coins in the same situation as KYD, the Altcoin market being down is hurting a lot of coins but at least the team are still here working on getting KYD back on track. I can understand why people move on and to wait one year is a long time but I think the team can get things back on track as they are still here unlike most other masternode projects out there that are either dead or have been abandoned by the dev.

There is no such thing as full on off-line staking. A computer (full node) needs to process and add blocks to the blockchain. No computers on the network means blockchain is dead.

What the new Solaris wallet will have is Cold-Staking. This means that you can stake your coins on an outside server like a VPS, or a service that provides cold staking for Solaris, while keeping your coins safely in a local wallet. You can also turn this wallet off and your coins will keep getting staked.

I suspect that these coins you are talking about have the same thing in the form of cold-staking.

Yes, I just learned last night that the foundations are being set up for this coin to go to the moon. Here is why: There will be way to have your coins in your wallet and not have to keep your computer running 24 hours a day. This will help bring hundreds of more people into buying this coin.

The Solaris Team already did cold staking with extensive testing with this system. For the ones who are sick of those VPS costs, the Solaris team has developed a great partnership with a cold staking platform. Those who buy the Solaris coin, set up a wallet, and want to stake with their computers shut down, while they sleep, will learn about a company that will allow the Solaris coin users the opportunity to do cold staking for FREE. That means no more lost money using a VPS and it is totally safe to use.

You will attach your wallet to the txbit.io exchange, and the more coins you have staking, the more rewards you get from those users trading on the txbit.io exchange. For those who can see into the future,  THIS IS HUGE.

AUS - 179 all out
Archer ripped through them, amazing bowling performance. AUS are up against it now, can England get a good 1st innings though, that’s the question.
I am really impressed with Jofra Archer with his pace and his ability to confuse the batsman with bouncers every now and then and as expected without Smith in the team the Australians are struggling to put runs on the board, Warner scored a half century but the team wants him to score big hundreds, but i am surprised to see a new face in the team Labuschagne who played really well, i am expecting England to take the lead in the first innings but i do not expect them to score beyond 300 runs.

Not sure if Smith would of made a difference as he's replacement Labuschagne played well like I thought he would as I said he was a good replacement for Smith. It was nice to see Warner finally make some runs but he couldn't go on to make that century which Australia really needed. The middle order let Australia down which is why they score what they did and also because of the amazing bowling performance by Archer, even with Smith playing I'm not sure if he could withstand the onslaught from Archer. Australia will need to bowl well if they have any chance in this match, I still don't understand why Strac isn't playing but I guess the selectors know something we don't.

Like I have said previous in this thread, I'm willing to hold and continue to keep my GTM masternodes running as the team do have plans for the future. I just hope they don't leave them too long as the Altcoin market is still struggling right now and the coins with something unique and have a use case will be the ones to survive.

This is often the trap people get stuck in with their masternode coins. They hold everything for too long and it’s not worth selling.

The team claims to have a new use case in the works, but the silence from them is not helpful.

That is true my friend however that is why we never put our eggs in one basket, that way it spreads the risk around.
