2841  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Mobile Gaming on: June 18, 2020, 12:11:36 PM
I don't imagine bitcoin as a mode of payment to do a transaction for mobile gaming. If you know about Steam, they are accepting bitcoin as payment to do transactions such as buying a game and top-ups for the game money. However, this was stopped immediately due to high fees.
I don't think you are getting the point here because the creator of this thread is starting to point out that we should relate bitcoin in mobile gaming, which is the new trend of gaming that most people are now playing in their mobile phones than playing in PC/console. That is why is there are any chances that more people will use bitcoin in their daily lives instead of using fiat currency in exchange of goods and services

From my point of view, this should be implented because in the middle of the pandemic, we should be avoiding physical contact to different people or known as social distancing. So with the help of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies it could people not make any physical in making transactions.
2842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: June 18, 2020, 11:51:32 AM
The first time I heard about Bitcoin was in 2014. I only signed up here on Bitcointalk, created a couple of Bitcoin wallets, etc., but never actually tried getting into it seriously.

3 years later when Bitcoin started to rise to it’s all-time high, I started to have interest in learning and use Bitcoin. Of course, Bitcoin is the future.

Some of them would say that Bitcoin would replace fiat currency within the decade. Especially that we are under the COVID-19 pandemic, establishments are starting to transition into contactless digital payments rather than paper bills or physical coins.

There will be a huge demand for Bitcoin in the long run, and I can see that coming.
Its really too bad that you haven't tried investing your money in bitcoin last year of 2014. I assume you are now a millionaire or billionaire today, if you take bitcoin seriously before bitcoin raise its price to its all time high. People who uses bitcoin are still assuming and dreaming that bitcoin could really replace fiat currency in the near future because of its benefits and great technology, especially this pandemic that it could prevent us from not getting physical contact to different people.
2843  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you know any good ways to promote a mobile application game? on: June 18, 2020, 07:48:09 AM
I am about to publish my first mobile game app.

Do you know any good ways to make it gain more popularity with the lowest costs possible?

Perhaps you know someone who runs a website or has a YouTube channel who might be interested to review it and play it for their viewers to see.

Let me know about your options and contact here or via PM
It will be difficult for you to promote a mobile app, if you will not spend a huge amount of money because the best way to promote your app is by paying in Youtube and Facebook for your app to be shown in their ads. I think the cheapest way to promote your app is by asking famous and non famous Youtubers or vlogger to promote your own mobile app.
2844  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Privacy vs Anonymity on: June 18, 2020, 07:27:41 AM
If they were anonymous, do you think you would know that they existed? Perhaps anonymity really means, "We are here, but you can't know anything about us." Wait. Isn't that what privacy is.

In other words, we don't know if there are any secrets or not. As soon as they become known, they aren't secrets any longer. If they remain secret, we don't know that they exist, right?

Cool
You have a point. You can't really say if things are anonymous, if you know that they exist. But if you don't know their real information and only knows what they are, you can say they are still anonymous. From my point of view, projects does not claim they are anonymous because how people would know about them and how investors will get interested in their project if they stay hidden or private.
2845  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Earn Cryptocurrency on: June 18, 2020, 07:07:28 AM
I heard a lot about earning cryptocurrency for free. But unfortunately most of these methods or websites are either scam or pay very little. So I would like to know some legit and real methods to earn crypto online. It will be really appreciated. Thanks!
The only thing that I know about earning cryptocurrencies for free or without any investments are joining bounties and airdrops. But you still need to make a research about it before joining because bounty campaigns and airdrops could be a scam, even you can only earn small amount of profit from it.
2846  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cannot be banned on: June 17, 2020, 03:03:19 PM
From my point of view, bitcoin can be banned and can be restrict in other countries from making transactions in bitcoin, but they cannot cease bitcoin because it is decentralized, which no one can control and manipulate it. That is why governments in other counteues only bans bitcoin from using it.
2847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What future is expected for new altcoins? on: June 17, 2020, 01:53:33 PM
For me, the new projects at the moment are a scam. I do not see any projects that are really quality and have a good development team. I only care about the top altcoins in this market or a few altcoins that are IEO in binance
but not all projects bro, there are still some decent new altcoins and still have good hopes in the future. one example of a new altcoin, in my opinion, has the potential is https://tachyon.eco/
IEO are still developing to improve their project and we only focus on top coins in the market, that is why it is hard for us to see if new projects like IEO has a potential to grow in the future. It is also hard to conpete to other coins, especially the successful ones because they have a lot of things to do to attract more investors and make their project well developed.
2848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe with bitcoin? on: June 17, 2020, 11:28:00 AM
Today we are experiencing a virus and that is the coronavirus or the NCov19 that is becoming pandemic immediately in just a single week and today there are a lot of people still going outside even there is a quarantine. The reason why? They need to go outside just to buy foods and things they need and also pay their bills they are prone to the virus also the virus can now be attached to the tangible things like money if they are already infected and touch the money with the virus it is rapidly spreading immediately. And today it is good to introduce the use of cryptocurrency or the bitcoin using online payment because it is more faster and secured they don't need to go outside too to pay other things they need and it is better if we are spreading those information so they can now made online payment and let's stop spreading of virus.
Yes,bitcoin will be a good idea, option,or alternative payment method to help not spreading virus because you can transact inside your house as long as you have data or internet to connect. But the problem is ,not all people are already using bitcoin and if you forced them to use bitcoin now that they don't have enough knowledge about it,i think this is not a good idea. For us,it's really helped. Even me ,i used my bitcoin to pay our bills because in our country there is an apps that you can send your bitcoin and use it directly for bills payments and buy loads. Very helpful. I hope many people will also discover the usage of bitcoin and accept it someday. It could be a great help for this pandemic situation.
Indeed. Using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as an alternative payment will help us not to catch and spread the virus because we can avoid having physical contact with different people when going to stores, malls, and other public places, that is why it is much better if countries will accept bitcoin during the pandemic because it could really reduce the virus cases.
2849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the new cryptocurrency worth buying on: June 17, 2020, 10:49:04 AM
When it comes to buying new crypto currency tokens. There are vast and diverse reasons for that; and those reasons depends on each individual perspectives.
So to be frank, new crypto currency tokens are worth buying, and which is why in every ieo, trading charts there are buy orders no matter how little.

I would implore that you always do your own research before investment.
I don't think new coins are worth buying because even you look in trading charts, you will see there are more sell orders than buy orders.  I recommend you to buy coins that are in the top coins of the market because you will see these coins have better value and have a potential in the near future.
2850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the terms you decide on which casino to play? on: June 17, 2020, 10:21:33 AM
When I am choosing online casinos, I mostly do research in the surface web and here in this forum to check the online casino's reviews, site and reputation, so I could know if it is good and legitimate because if there are no people playing on that site and they have bad reviews, I assume it is not that good site.
2851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: June 17, 2020, 09:56:42 AM
I think it is the same as misuse of funds because it is not used properly even though the funds have been received by people in need and people like this clearly have no responsibility, the government provides assistance such as for food needs and some money to be used properly and of course for the good of their own family, but still they use the money to indulge in their own lusts like drunk and still do physical gambling while at the same time the money is still very much needed for their own family's living expenses for the next few weeks or months.

Challenging the risks.

I know these people who received financial support know how to use the money properly. But since no source of income, that financial assistance will soon be gone and they will be left again with no money at all.

They will now challenge the risks by taking chances to do gambling in order to double the money so that they can maximize their budget. But since, gambling is gambling, instead of extra income, the worst thing is what they got.

I know some who have already lost the money that way. From my perspective it's really stupid to gamble the money you got as a support from government thinking you will make more money on it. Instead to take care of the future in this hard times some just spent the money so easily. It's not a good strategy and since gambling depends purely on luck no one can't rely on it as a source of extra income.
There are really some people who will do stupid decisions because of their greediness thinking that they could double or triple their money in gambling that they recently receive and ask support from their government, and after they lose all of their money in gambling they will put all the blame to their government because they are poor.
2852  Other / Politics & Society / Re: When will covid-19 disappear? on: June 17, 2020, 06:26:33 AM
Covid-19 would disappear literally today, if the people woke up and realized that the Covid-19 pandemic is a lie. It's not that the virus doesn't exist. It's that the deaths attributed to it are a lie.

Cool

COVID-19 IS NOT A LIE! too many people died from it and scientists now still are trying to find the cure. Please be mature and stop telling it is a lie because it does not makes sense.

There are still many people who think like that even though many countries have been affected and many have died because of the covid. the mistake at first underestimated that covid could be with because it was just like the common cold, after which not many people were prepared for this incident.
even the most recent discovery is very frightening that covid has mutated even bigger and its transmission is 10x faster than it has ever happened. there is no way other than to be immediately found drugs and vaccines so that covid ends, not just breaking the link from the sick to the healthy.

In the United States, and probably most of the rest of the world, NOBODY knows even near right, what the Covid death statistics are. Why not? Because like the US, the rest of the world has been told to use flawed info to determine Covid deaths.

What I mean is, both Deborah Birx (Trump's team) and the CDC have instructed doctors that if the cause of death is unknown, or if it might be similar to Covid, that they are supposed to call it Covid, no matter what it is, even if it is unknown.

In other words:

There are 4 buddies. Three of them are tested over and over Covid negative. The fourth is Covid positive. They go to the bar together, and they all get plastered. The driver is the Covid positive guy. On the way home, he runs them off the road, hits a tree, and kills them all. What was the cause of death?

The coroner might list various things as cause of death. The CDC will work as hard as they can to get the cause in all of them to be Covid, because the driver was Covid positive. Even if the driver was one of the Covid negative guys, the CDC will still try to get them listed as Covid. They might even change the coroner's report if they can get away with it.

This is happening all over the country. Nobody knows which doctors are being honest in their cause of death evaluation. Nobody knows which doctors are simply doing what the CC says, even if it seems a little shady.

We have found out that the vast majority of Covid-called deaths in the USA, were deaths because of accidental malpractice of doctors not knowing what to do, or not knowing who to obey. Roughly 88% of all the people in the USA who died of Covid, really had some other life threatening problem - heart disease, cancer, diabetes, pneumonia, etc.  If they caught the simple common cold, they would have died. The Covid numbers are being greatly exaggerated.

Cool
You have a good evidences that people who dies during this pandemic are exaggeration just to scare people out that not all people who dies is because of the corona virus. Other people only dies because of common diseases and accidents, not the corona virus. To be honest, corona virus is curable because there are a lot of people have already been recovered from the virus, so nothing to be scared off and as long you have a healthy immune system you will be safe.
2853  Other / Off-topic / Re: Lockdown depression :( on: June 17, 2020, 04:13:01 AM
I think no person who likes the feeling of experiencing community quarantine lockdown because every day watching and hearing about the bad news of governments and front liners having a hard time dealing with this COVID-19. And every day doing nothing just sitting on your couch, just eat, taking a shower, and not having a face to face conversation with your friends and family really bumps me out.
2854  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I have learned from this forum. on: June 16, 2020, 02:33:08 PM
I assume we all have the same learnings and experience from this forum that we all learn from the opinions and tips by people that are here in this forum because they helps us to make decisions on where we should invest our profit and to know if new projects are legitimate or a scam. That is why I am really thankful knowing about this forum because it really helps me, especially in trading.
2855  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Brave browser hijacking links and affiliate codes! on: June 16, 2020, 09:39:53 AM
I am using brave browser for years and I didn't know anything about this issue and problem about using brave browser. I really love the use of brave browser because I thought it could help me to keep my privacy and data away from hackers.
2856  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin can never become a currency. Part 1: scarce supply. on: June 16, 2020, 09:03:39 AM
It is a currency? I mean just because it is not the main currency doesn't mean it is not a currency. Ethereum is a currency, litecoin is a currency, all the coins in the market is a currency. What you are trying say is "bitcoin will never become standard currency" which is totally different thing to say. I do agree that bitcoin not being the main currency is likely, after all not only scarcity but volatility and decentralization are all cause for bitcoin to be not a standard currency in any nation.

However that doesn't change the fact that you can use crypto to buy stuff and that means if you are paying with it, that is a currency. It is not barter neither, it is not like you give 2 chickens and get 5kg meat type of barter, it is really a currency that has a worth in any other currency as well.

Man, the concept of bitcoin and stocks is basically a barter trading, they are relaying on the law of supply and demand as you can see if the demand is low then, the price is low and if the demand is high then, the price is also high. Bitcoin have up's and down cause it basically using the law of supply and demand and as we all know, Barter trading is the first trading system that use the law supply and demand.

Bitcoin will never be a currency, it's more like a stocks or an good asset to invest with.
The barter trading is really the reason why bitcoin is having an expensive price because a lot of people and investors are buying bitcoin as an investment and as a safe asset. Bitcoin would never be a currency due to its decentralization that no one can control it, no matter what happens. Bitcoin would only be a currency if it will only become centralized.
2857  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin worth so much ? on: June 16, 2020, 08:43:42 AM
Bitcoin is the leading cryptocyrrency that a lot of people and investors put a trust on bitcoin that they are continuously buying and holding their bitcoin in a long term. Even bitcoin does not have smart contracts, token supports, and has a high transaction fees, it is still secured and encrypted and backed by blockchain technology.
2858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India may again ban cryptocurrency on: June 16, 2020, 08:10:33 AM
It will be stupid for the government to ban cryptocurrency, they don't have any idea how it would help their economy grow.

What they are doing is they are blocking the revolutionary technology that would change how people treat money and this will eliminate boundaries because bitcoin and its blockchain knows no boundaries. I hope they will re-evaluate this before making a decision because if other countries allows crypto then why can't they? what would be their reason?

I believe banning is bad and the fines is too harsh, government suppose to serve the people so they should listen to people before making a decision.

The thing is governments don't really agrees on bitcoin and cryptocurrencies because of its decentralization that they no one control it. They also think that bitcoin is only being used for illegal activities like scams and fraud, that is why it is hard for them to accept it as a legal currency. They don't look on the good side of bitcoin that it could really help their economy by giving unemployed people a source of income.
2859  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin ang future shitcoin ayon Kay Mcafee on: June 16, 2020, 07:48:58 AM
2860  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ethereum investment for future ?? on: June 16, 2020, 07:24:13 AM
Yes, check the news, the price of Ethereum already changed almost 100% only this year and more changes coming price will go 3x or more until the end of this year, ETH can be the best crypto of 2020 easy.
But still, bitcoin is the best investment in crypto Grin
You got it! I will definitely agree with this one. No doubt that bitcoin will remain the best cryptocurrencies investment for the next few years. For me, Ethereum is also a good cryptocurrency investment, and it is also part of my portfolio but not in a big portion. We have seen the slow increase in the price of Ethereum and it seems it's striving to go back to its ATH price in the market which is around 1400$. Many of us are now waiting on their big update and I know it can somehow change the price of Ethereum on the market. I'm totally sure that Ethereum will really become part of the best cryptocurrency for this year 2020.

Btw, Do you think after its update it will really climb up to 1000$? or it can somehow hit 300$-500$?
Indeed. No one can replace bitcoin as the top one cryptocurrency in the market. Ethereum is really a good cryptocurrency next to bitcoin, even ETH have problems increasing or improving its price last year. Good to know that ethereum is making a come to it's price once again, so that we can keep oyr investment for a long term.
