1921  Economy / Economics / Re: after gamestop's short squeeze, reddit turns to doge. 600%+ today on: January 29, 2021, 04:30:57 PM
Thanks to GameStop stock. Dogecoin started to make a sudden increase to its price because many Redditors have switched on buying Dogecoin after GameStop surges its price in 2 weeks, so many people are now expecting that Dogecoin could reach $1. This will probably increase the number of people interested in buying bitcoin because of this kind of event.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Newbie gambling sites on: January 29, 2021, 02:13:48 PM
I would like to deposit a small amount of Bitcoin for gambling purposes. I would like a few suggestions of websites that have you've used yourself and are trusted/safe to use for newbie gamblers?
Not interested in sport betting or anything similar, just something to try my luck and kill some time once in a while.
If you're still interested in depositing a small amount of bitcoin in a crypto gambling site, you better play in an old crypto gambling site because they are already tested that they are safe and fair to play just like fortunejack, bitvest, 7bitcasino, primedice, etc. They are all suitable for newbie gamblers because they are all user-friendly and has a good user-interface.
1923  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what have you learn? what do you need to learn? on: January 28, 2021, 04:13:02 PM
My first reality contact is from this forum. I had little about it but now understand it, how to use it and better knowledge of bitcoin from the forum.
I have spent more than three years in this forum, and it also has helped me better understand the crypto and blockchain space. Reading opinions and facts from people who have better experience in the crypto space is more helpful than reading written articles and tutorial videos because their tips and guides are more effective.

I learnt how to play around with scammers with any of them to scm me because I know their trucks which can not lead to any thing.

Yes it has also exposed me to some of the scamming tricks and that ponzi is not going to do any good. But I don't play along with scammers, I avoid them if I identity such. I don't dine with the devil at all  Cheesy
Yes. This forum has also helped me avoid scams and Ponzi schemes because some posts on social media look legit, and this forum makes me realize that it is not worth it for my valuable time.
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy, sell, HODL? on: January 28, 2021, 03:18:06 PM
If we look at the price of Bitcoin which is still stable and hasn't dropped below the $ 30k support price, I choose HODL for now. Unless finally
Bitcoin suddenly crashed and dropped its price below $ 30k, I bought more Bitcoin. Then for the selling target I wanted, was still far enough
away to be achieved, I set a target at the price of $ 50k to sell my Bitcoin. Hopefully this year Bitcoin can actually hit the price of $ 50k,
so I can get the profit I want.

I also choose to hold my bitcoins while bitcoin's price is currently in the range of $30,000+. Then grab the opportunity of buying bitcoin when its price started to decrease, instead of panic selling because there is a high chance that bitcoin will increase more than $40,000 in the Q4 of 2021. Therefore, it's better to buy more bitcoin while its price is still in the range of $30,000.
1925  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: January 28, 2021, 04:49:30 AM
I had a lot to learn from Toronto women who won the $ 60 Million lottery jackpot. Because he managed to become a winner not because of
luck alone, but his patience should also be appreciated. Imagine her playing with the same strategy for 20 years, I think very few people have
the patience to do that. So it is very worthy in my opinion that the woman is the winner of the $ 60 Million lottery. Because I'm also not sure
I can be patient like these Toronto women.

I don't agree with this. The probability of winning a single lottery game remains the same whether you have been playing for 20 years or whether it is your first game. Let's say that the probability is 1 in 10 million. Now let's take two examples. First example is of someone who have been taking lottery tickets regularly for 20 years and the second example is of someone who is playing for the first time. In both cases, the probability for that game will be 1 in 10 million. It is not that the first person will have a better probability compared to the second one.
Indeed. Whether you are new or old in playing the lottery, the probability or chances of winning the jackpot prize is the same: luck alone is the one-way ticket for you to win. However, people who regularly play the lottery believe that hope and determination in playing the lottery make them win, which is not a reasonable answer because many people out there also play the lottery every day until they die, but they still didn't experience winning.
1926  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest for quick gains only on: January 28, 2021, 04:22:40 AM
It is very regrettable that most investors only care about quick gains only, therefore many have become victims of fraud. Because scammers know
DeFi is a trend that is very booming and is of interest to many people, eventually many DeFi projects have sprung up without any clear purpose.
Finally in order to avoid becoming a victim of fraud, we do have to do research and analysis thoroughly and make sure the projects we are going to
buy have better utilities. Don't choose DeFi which is popular because of the hype alone.
Indeed. Since DeFi projects become a hype, investors are only interested in looking for quick gains or profits because waiting for a long time is not worth them. Therefore many have become victims of DeFi scams, especially those free fake airdrops and giveaways on Twitter. Easy money and quick gains really exist, but not all the time because if earning money is really easy, many people are rich today.

"It takes time to create excellence. If it could be done quickly, more people would do it."

1927  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if internet connectivity gets terminated on: January 28, 2021, 03:56:08 AM
If the internet connectivity gets terminated, our daily activity will change all of a sudden. Cellphone services will be unavailable, application and social networking sites will stop working, cloud storage and essential files will be inaccessible.  Lastly, The online payment system will be down, especially bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. The internet is already part of daily life, especially for us crypto users, because some are using crypto as a daily source of income.
1929  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Should I sell or hold on my bitcoin? on: January 27, 2021, 03:54:45 PM
People often ask this kind of question about when is the right time to buy and sell bitcoin. As everybody says, there is no actual or specific time or date to buy and sell bitcoin. But I prefer to buy bitcoin when its price has decreased just like today because bitcoin is down that it is now $30,000. Also, I only sell my bitcoins when I need money to maintain my long term investment.
1930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: do you do mining or staking? on: January 27, 2021, 01:42:19 PM
if only given these two options then I prefer to stake at a trusted exchange and of course the coin I choose must also have the potential because by staking we as users don't need capital to buy mining equipment and don't think about the electricity costs involved need when mining.
Indeed. I also prefer staking to mining because you don't need to spend expensive mining equipment such as high-end GPUs and pay for an electricity bill to earn a coin that you only need a few resources for you to able to participate in staking. Also, the amount of the coin you stake will increase depending on how long you will hold it in an exchange or wallet.
1931  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin ever be use as other country currency on: January 27, 2021, 01:13:43 PM
Since bitcoin is decentralized, it has no central authority. There is no exact country where it originates so that any country can use bitcoin as a digital currency. If this happens, bitcoin will continue its purpose of being a new payment system as a digital currency that people will mostly use bitcoin in exchange for goods and services, other than using it as a highly volatile investment.
1932  Economy / Economics / Re: Is wallet security important to use? on: January 27, 2021, 12:47:15 PM
Are you fine to leave your funds in a crypto wallet if you don't guarantee its security is adequate? Of course not. Without a useful security feature in a crypto wallet, it will be vulnerable for hackers to lose all of your funds. Hence, wallet security is essential for you to ensure that your funds are safe and sound in the long term.
1933  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: January 26, 2021, 11:43:35 AM
From my point of view, Both of them are profitable depending on how much money you will use. But investing is much better than staking because investing gives a much higher percentage of profit in a short time, depending on the coin you invest your money in. Unlike staking, it just gives a little interest like depositing in traditional banks.
1934  Economy / Economics / Re: What We Should Learn From Elon Musk Influence on: January 26, 2021, 11:18:51 AM
Quote
Does popularity or fame has a positive correlation with wealth creation?

Fame always goes hand to hand with money.Just look at all the Hollywood movie stars or Instagram influencers. The more famous your are,the more advertisers will want to pay you for sponsorships and hire you for high paying jobs.If you are famous, you obviously have fans, and your fans have money to spend.
Fame is an asset,a very scarce asset in high demand actually.
Elon Musk has fame and money and he is also a role model.Of course that he will influence many people to do certain things.
News, opinions of famous people and gossips have short term impact over the financial markets. This isn't something new.
Millennials nowadays wanted to become a streamer, vlogger, social media influencer, or want to be on television because they wanted to become famous, get paid for sponsorships, and make their merchandise. Popularity and influence are also one of the reasons why Elon Musk Surpassed Jeff Bezos for being the richest man in the world other than working hard in his company.
1935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: So how do i make daily20- 40$ here ? on: January 26, 2021, 07:24:50 AM
This forum was not made for earning money and cryptocurrencies that it was made to educate and help newcomers or beginners. I have been in this forum for more than three years, earning $20-$40 a day is impossible. Still, you can make $20 a week after ranking up your account by merely joining signature campaigns, and if you have some skills such as blockchain developing, graphic design, web development, etc., you can apply them in projects.
1936  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin hits $40k on: January 26, 2021, 05:53:40 AM
Bitcoin had always been destine to hit $40k but it was just the matter of time for that to happen and it finally happened. The next ATH for Bitcoin to attain is hitting $100k. This is destine to happen very soon looking at how Bitcoin moved from $10k to $40k.  $100k is very likely to happen in the early but of 2022 or when 2022 is ending.  Saving my Bitcoins for that day.
We only expect that bitcoin will only surpass its $20K price in 2020, but surprisingly bitcoin exceeds $25K until it reaches $40K+ price. So there is a possibility that bitcoin will surpass its ATH again and reach up to $100K this year or next year of 2022 if the mass adoption continues. Saving and holding our bitcoins until that comes will be worth it.
1937  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you in panic whenever there is a big drop in price? on: January 26, 2021, 05:10:15 AM
I am only in panic when the price drops if I recently bought a shit coin or new coin because you can't say if its price will recover soon or not. Unlike buying and holding top coins in the market, there is a huge potential for its price to recover soon like bitcoin and ethereum that it doesn't make me panic when its price suddenly decreases.
1938  Economy / Speculation / Re: to sell or buy BTC? on: January 25, 2021, 12:20:31 PM
I would really love to save some Bitcoins.

Since the price of Bitcoin is quite unpredictable right now, I think it is best to wait for some time and look at the price chart. Maybe look at the identifiers so you would know what to do in certain situations. If you feel that the price is going low, you should be wary of the price changes and mark a price where you could reinvest.

Saving is good enough when we don't really have to spend btc on our daily living, its just unfortunate when there's a need to convert your digital asset to fiat so you need to sell. You had no choice because by the time you waited for the price to grow while holding, price won't move up when it's not in perfect time. Accumulating our remaining balances could be done through buy and sell during active market, but needed skills to do it.
Only sell your holdings when you need money because it is unnecessary to spend or sell your bitcoin when its price started to increase, but if you feel the price of bitcoin will go down, it's better to save your funds from going down. Holding your bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and waiting for you to have a considerable amount of profit takes a long time; that is why you need to learn to analyze the market price and make a strategy when the price goes up and down.
1939  Economy / Economics / Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth on: January 25, 2021, 11:52:58 AM
I think it applies every year that most people wanted to have a good life and wealth. It only depends on a person if he will choose a live a good life or not because, without any action, we will not be able to reach our goals and dreams in life. I know the whole year of 2020 is troublesome for most of us; that is why we expect this year of 2021 to be better or back to normal, so we should be taking action not only in 2021 and 2022; it should be every day as we live.
1940  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paper money vs Digital currency on: January 25, 2021, 11:31:47 AM
Technology is rapidly changing every day, so in an instant, everybody might be using digital currency over paper money. We all know that it is much convenient to use digital currency than physical money because we don't have to wait for our change and count our coins to pay. But I think there will still be people who will use paper money because digital money is vulnerable to hacking that no technology is perfect when it comes to security.
