1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How often are people really hacked out of their BTC? on: January 19, 2021, 01:55:46 PM
To be honest, I never experienced my funds getting hacked, and I don't want to experience it. It is why I always used a strong password and 2FA on my accounts, and I am cautious upon clicking on unnecessary links, emails, personal messages, etc. People get hacked very often because there are still people who still fall for money laundering, phishing, and other scams.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should you take loan(s) to invest in crypto? on: January 18, 2021, 12:59:07 PM
I don't think it is a good idea to make a loan to invest in cryptocurrency because there is no guarantee you can payback in your loan in time due to risk. Even if you see that some people have earned a considerable profit in buying cryptocurrency, don't expect you will have the same experience in your first purchase.
1963  Economy / Speculation / Re: You saw the BTC price WOULD YOU BUY!?............ on: January 17, 2021, 11:12:36 AM
Again, it's not a matter of right or wrong to buy expensive bitcoins, but about your investment style. if you are a day trader then it is not a problem as long as you can maintain your daily profit, but if you are a long-term holder, then it will be a little less profitable, because the essence of long-term investing is to buy dips and sell at a certain level of profit.
Buying dip is definitely the way to go for long term investment but I don't think buying bitcoin right now can be considered a bad strategy. You can see those investment firm buying bitcoin like buying ice cream and they won't let bitcoin price go down for sure considering how many money invested.
For now, it's hard for bitcoin to go down like it was in 2017 so I could consider there's no best time than the present, though ofcourse if we can find opportunity to buy dips why not?  Grin
Indeed. The current status we are now today is not like what happened in the year 2017 because whales and institutes are currently holding their bitcoins. So there is nothing with buying bitcoin today, especially if bitcoin is now down in $34,000 price, so traders and long-term investors might be able to gain profit with its current price.
1964  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has been targetted once again? on: January 17, 2021, 10:45:20 AM
From my perspective, The governments and banks might be wondering why bitcoin is continuously making stability and growth during the pandemic of COVID-19 because the banking system and stocks have suffered, and bitcoin and cryptocurrencies don't. So the media starts to targeted bitcoin and makes false accusations again, but this won't affect bitcoin's price that much because the mass adoption will stay.
1965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: how can i create bitcoin wallet and deposit on it on: January 17, 2021, 10:24:59 AM
If bitcoin is banned in your country, you should follow the authorities and avoid buying bitcoin because if you have been able to bypass them and deposit your funds in a bitcoin wallet. There is a chance that your funds will get confiscated if the authorities have caught you, so the only thing to do is wait for your government to unbanned bitcoin before you buy them. You might buy bitcoin if you know someone outside your country, which their government does not restrict buying bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
1966  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: the state of cryptocurrency is very difficult to predict on: January 17, 2021, 05:19:16 AM
The crypto market is really tough to predict due to its volatility, that only a few people have made a precise prediction and speculation in the crypto market.
Polkadot's ICO project in 2017 is promising that it is one of the ICO projects that survive and last long until this year due to its outstanding innovation. It is why it made it on the top 10 coins in the crypto market that it surpassed several old top coins, and many investors assume that it could replace Ethereum in the future.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Netherlands pilot scheme to allow women to play in senior men's team on: January 17, 2021, 04:38:29 AM
I'm not a sexist. But allowing women to play in senior men's teams is inappropriate, even though they have the same skills as men in playing football because they might fall into an accident in playing this sport that could lead to sexual harassment. So it will be better if women and men should have a football league of their own for them not to have any conflict with the fans and women's rights.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Paquiao VS Connor McGreggor? on: January 17, 2021, 04:01:37 AM
This is just only for entertainment , if Pacman will get serious about the fight I think Connor will be retiring on both sports and just focus on his liquor business, Connor should focus on MMA, his skills are for that game and not boxing, although he earns money from doing that, it will be just a waste if you will not use skills given by God for that game, Pacman, on the other hand, should retire after few fights now,  he already proves he's one of the greatest.
Indeed. Both Manny Pacquiao and Connor McGreggor are doing this for entertainment. They already know that they are great fighters in their young and adult days, so I think they don't need to come up with a fight and focus on a retirement career. But this fight is exciting, that many people cannot wait for them to see them fight.
1969  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Verified Twitter account is being used to promote fake giveaway! on: January 15, 2021, 09:26:18 PM
It is the reason why I am very cautious participating in free airdrops and giveaways in Twitter, even they have a verified badge because scammers always take advantage on non-techie people that they are not aware of this kind of illegal schemes. I also think it is not only happening on twitter that it usually happens all over the surface web.
1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's going on with crypto market? on: January 15, 2021, 08:59:19 PM
I feel also that this year the new project is lesser than one year ago.
Maybe, investor invest in the defi projects, now. Because the hype projects in this year is defi projects. The defi project can give 10x ROI.
After all market depends on top crypto on crypto market. Basically most of the project are defending on the price of bitcoin and ethereum directly or indirectly. Green sign of bitcoin and ethereum is positive side of most of the project.
Indeed. Most altcoins mostly depends at the price of bitcoin because it is the leading cryptocurrency in the market and altcoins are typically measured in the price of bitcoin that makes them tied. So whenever bitcoin increases its price, altcoins will go up, and when it decreases, altcoins will go down as well.
1971  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH high gas fee on: January 15, 2021, 08:33:59 PM
Its 2021 and crazy high fees is a issue, who would have though. Year after year devs promise and no action, nothing to show for.

Costs that make it difficult for everyone to buy or replace the tokens we have with what we want. price increases have a bad impact on making transactions.
Indeed. It makes it difficult for every crypto users to convert their shitcoins nowadays because of the expensive ETH gas fees, that is why most Altcoins are stuck or remains in their crypto wallets and exchanges that they do not afford paying ETH gas fees. Instead of enjoying the great momentum of the bull run, we still need to think of another way on how we will pay these high fees.
1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: He said Bitcoin is a Scam: See What happened to Him on: January 15, 2021, 05:23:34 AM
To be honest, I have been helping some of my friends and relatives to invest in bitcoin because they wanted to earn a good profit. But they don't believe me because they assume it is a kind of a Ponzi scheme, and they want to have assurance whenever bitcoin is dead; that is why I am having a hard time explaining to them that it is not possible to happen. So I instead stop convincing them because it will be useless if I keep inviting them and they don't believe me. I recently got a DM from one of my friends that I helped with about buying bitcoin, and he says that I am totally right and should bitcoin at that time.
1973  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Filipino crypto users on: January 15, 2021, 04:43:25 AM

Pag walang campaign madalang tambayan. Dati nga noon, siksikan kami sa isang thread dahil wala pa tayo own section and halos lahat ng campaign e accepted ang local post.

-snip-

Payo lang kabayan and since newbie ka pa sa forum, iwasan natin magbump ng old thread. 2019 pa last post bago ka nagreply and yang qinoute mo na post is 2018 pa pinost. Although walang direct rule about sa necro bumping and ok naman daw as long as substantial iyong post, baka kasi makasanayan kaya magandang iwasan na lang.
Tama. Maraming members dito sa forums ang nasita ng mga high-rank members dahil sa pagbubump ng old thread kahit madalas at hindi na kailangan pagusapan pa dito sa forum.
1974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting History - 2020 on: January 14, 2021, 07:15:31 PM
No matter what the gambling games you played, you will not have a chance to secure your money if you cannot control yourself.
Newbies will not think about the risk because their minds will have a curiosity and want to feel how to gamble with crypto.
But soon after they got the experience, they want to have more experience, and they do not realize the danger to play gambling for a long time.
It will attract them to go deeper on the gambling, and without realizing what could happen to them, they still risked their money, and now, their reason is making money that they will hard to get in the gambling games.
Many of them slowly become addicted to many gambling games, and it turns to become heavily addicted to gambling if they can not realize what happens to them.
They will have a bad experience in gambling that we can not imagine, and that will be their history which we do not want to get.
I agree with this, it doesn't matter what gambling site you are dealing with as long as you did not manage your emotion you will still lose every time you play, don't let greediness come in your way, I experience it on my own and it made my money that I worked for into bubbles. So I learn my lesson but I'm still resting now and will not gamble for a moment, 2020 is hard for me, but I will strive harder and avoid to lose too much this 2021.
Emotion become the way how to control your soul when beginning on gambling, absolutely when you win and get much profit on gambling your soul will push keep betting going on because you have reach much profit without really you have make wrong decision and loss, later all your profit gone again and have start from zero. If you stop and enough with your profit maybe you have much money and could be use for the next time gambling, now many gambler can't control with their emotion when gambling.
Gamblers find it hard to stay within control. Whenever one keeps winning, the emotion automatically push the user to go for higher roll. One in ten take the profit and give a break without looking for big profit out of greed. Emotions are part of human life, but with gambling this easily goes out of control ending in massive loss.
Indeed. Most gamblers have difficulties controlling themselves as they are experiencing winning a considerable amount of profit or continuous winnings because they don't know how to be satisfied and know how to stop that they assume they can double or triple their profits. At the end, they will keep betting and experiencing losing all of their money because the only thing that controls them is their greed.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are people still buying XRP? on: January 14, 2021, 06:43:25 PM
I am also confused about why other people are still currently buying XRP, after the SEC issue because most exchanges have delisted XRP, so it will be huge risk if people will continuously buy XRP. I think investors are trying to take advantage on the cheap price of XRP, assuming XRP can recover it's price back if Ripple will resolve it's issue.
1976  Economy / Economics / Re: The sale of the COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web continues. on: January 14, 2021, 12:56:14 PM
From my perspective, it will be dangerous if someone will purchase a COVID-19 vaccine on the dark web because they are not sure if it is legitimate or will definitely help them to avoid getting infected. It might be why the virus has mutated and created a new COVID strain because of these fake vaccines everywhere on the dark web.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shall I HODL DOGE? on: January 14, 2021, 12:21:00 PM
It seems to me that right now the price of doge is overpriced and it is better to sell and then buy it if the price goes down
Actually it is not too expensive when viewed from the current price, because Doge is a good token, it rises slowly and decreases slowly,
so that the profit and loss will not be too far.
Indeed. Dogecoin is not that expensive as other cryptocurrencies because it still hasn't reached its $1 price; that is why many investors believe that Dogecoin is not a good investment. So it's okay to sell your Doge into bitcoin or other top cryptocurrencies in the market, but since altcoins can increase their prices exponentially, there is a chance that Doge could have a significant value.
1978  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fake electrum on: January 14, 2021, 11:56:45 AM
This is really not a good thing for the crypto community, it seems like there are already many scammers who are trying to create fake software just to scam and steal money from other people. Before we download the specific application, let us check first the reviews and how many people already downloaded it, if it seems doubtful then never use or install it or better try to ask some expert about it.
Looking and reading the reviews is not the best choice to check if the software application is legitimate because some people are hired to make fake comments and make the app look good. So the best way for you to know if the wallet or the application you will download is legitimate, you should check the company that created it and the number of downloads.
1979  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: again a Bitcoin millionaire who forgot his password on: January 13, 2021, 01:49:35 PM
I just don't get it on how he lose his password to his IronKey because if you are holding those huge number of bitcoin then probably you might have some back up file or you have multiple copies of your ironkey in order for you to avoid losing and forgetting those passwords. Just think about it, if you have so many money then probably you will not put it in just a 1 wallet but also you will put it in other wallet.
Indeed. Suppose you have a considerable amount of funds in your wallet. In that case, you should have writedown all of your usernames, passwords, and private keys in everything in your accounts because it is important for every crypto user to protect and keep all of your funds. I think the best way for him to get back all of his funds is to contact their supports on how they would able to bypass or have access to his account.
1980  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can hit $50k? on: January 13, 2021, 06:21:01 AM
I believe Bitcoin could hit the price of $ 50,000 in 2021, especially now Bitcoin is experiencing a correction after successfully reaching an
all time high at a price of $ 41,900. Because every time Bitcoin will rise even higher it begins with a price correction first, I'm sure the Bitcoin
price will soon go up. We just need to be patient, and keep the Bitcoin that we have. If you have extra money you can buy more Bitcoin
at the current price, because now is the right time to buy Bitcoin.
If the current trend continues, I do think that it will go sooner than everyone could expect. You have to be careful about buying at the current price point though, this is the stage where it could go high and low any moment, and if it goes the either way, someone will definitely panic thinking this might be the highest point or this might be a landslide so be careful, if you easily panic when there is a down in prices do not devote all the money you have to buying bitcoin.
We shouldn't buy bitcoin as the price goes up or at its peak because bitcoin is an extremely volatile asset. It is also dangerous if bitcoin will continue to rise that any time bitcoin could go down instantly, so we should not be in a hurry for bitcoin reach its price up to $50K because we might experience a massive landslide to bitcoin's price just like what happened in the year 2017 and 2018.
