1881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In my school, Bitcoin is now becoming a subject on: February 16, 2021, 01:00:30 PM
That's actually a good thing! However in the university that I attended the course subjects are still the same, but a lot of students are talking about bitcoin and cryptocurrency, and they are actually investing and trading to it. Though the university is not much familiar with Bitcoin and other cryptos, I am glad that a lot of young people are now curious with it and I know not only in your school, but also other areas of the country will accept Bitcoin and might even add it into the subjects for a specific programs and courses.
1882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Discipline keeps you grounded on: February 15, 2021, 07:07:18 AM
During a bull run or bear market; it is easy for newbies to make more money. In fact newbies make more money during the bull run than long term trader, the core problem is that newbies tend to lose those profits back to the market when the bear struck and the long term traders keep making their profits all year round.

You have to understand in reality that you cannot be consistently profitable except you are disciplined and glue to your rules.
The truth is, you know the right thing to do as regards crypto currency; just do it.
That is not entirely true. Some newbies still are not knowing enough about investing and trading in crypto. Joining in this forum is really helpful especially for beginners because all things that they need to know about crypto, it's actually here. Having discipline is one, but that's not all. It is still important to constantly learn more about the current happenings, then try to change or adapt depending on your initial goals. Knowledge is application is still the best if you want to succeed in one area.
1883  Economy / Economics / Re: Will New York become a Bitcoin hub on: February 15, 2021, 06:31:23 AM
Building crypto hubs are not really necessary, I think. Government and other organizations just like to make things look like it is needed so crypto users will fall in to their plans. But not all users are not like that. Of course this will be argued by different people who have their own views about it, what are he potential benefits and problems may arise, and others such as reason, importance, etc. But since crypto are being used by anyone around the world, and we can actually access is anytime, anywhere, do we really need hubs??
1884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: OMG !!!!! You BitCoin people were right. I wish I had bought back in March :( on: February 15, 2021, 06:02:09 AM
I was actually losing hope and was doubting if Bitcoin's price can get any higher since a lot of things happened, and as what we can see now I kinda regretted losing hope in Bitcoin's price getting higher. But that's in the past and I believe it's not too late to make a move now. Invest as soon as possible and wait patiently for the results in the next few months or years. It will be really worth it.
1885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cash out or HODL - Bitcoin? on: February 12, 2021, 03:36:38 AM
Something very similar never happens every time. I know in 2017 on Christmas eve, when the bitcoin smashed and pretty much every individual quit utilizing it.
But today is different, the cost is a lot higher than $20,000, and its dependability revealing to me the diverse story, I won't sell it, rather I will hoDL.
On the off chance that the cost can cross $20k, at that point it can cross $50k as well.

Whenever this happens, it is really advisable that you are holding bitcoin since there will be a chance that there will be correction, also, if you want to achieve higher price of bitcoin, it is also good to hold btc. It really depends on you if you need the money... you can cash it out if it is a good price for you. Otherwise you should hold back if you want your holdings to be higher at what it is today.
1886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Crash? on: February 11, 2021, 10:31:08 AM
In my perspective, before reading the article, I actually thought bitcoin can crash. In every thing that existed there will always be pros and cons, weakness and strengths. I thought it can crash because of networks and such; and reasons such as technical problems would occur. But then I have found out that it can't be hacked by anyone as the nodes are entirely scattered, and not letting a single node hold the singularity of bitcoin. It is very cool to think we can go to such lengths with technology.
1887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people follow Elon Musk? on: February 11, 2021, 09:26:28 AM
People follow him because he is the biggest man in cryptocurrency What he says happens. Is one of the people and when he speaks it is clear and easy.
He is a successful man in cryptocurrency The coin he talks about gets his price up. a few days ago he tweeted about dogecoin and check his price where are you. I think that's why people follow Elon Musk.
Well... that may be possible but then that means people who follow Elon Musk because of that means they don't have much background about bitcoin. Aside from that disregarding crypto connections, Elon Musk is a billionaire; of course people who aspire to be like him will follow him; what he does, how he thinks, and how he do things in his own way. That may be one reason, but there are other lots of reasons to consider.
1888  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Coinless 2025 on: February 11, 2021, 08:54:20 AM
1889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Destroying Bitcoin on: February 11, 2021, 08:09:53 AM
The big companies are buying bitcoin and manipulating the market. one day they will start to sell all bitcoins and we will have a very big shock. imagine that you think that crypto is your enemy, if you want to destroy it, first you will buy as much as you can, you will make the market goes up, after you will sell all coins and you will destroy the market, take money of small investors and make them hate the crypto.

when i saw a company buy big amount of coin, i afraid.

Your logic is weak because those companies don't have the same strategies when it comes to their investment. of course, some will win and some will lose. you just need to choose the right timing to sell yours. You cannot stop this kind of thing from happening and most of all there's no such thing in the investment where you won't ever lose. Of course, If they wanted to hold their BTC when the price is quite high, then they are free to do so, and when they chose to hold it for long they have completely free to do so as well.

That's true. Not all big companies will do have that kind of strategy, but if they did, us individual investors should not be afraid. They are in the same standing as us. Do they know when will bitcoin fluctates? or when will the correction ends? At the end, we are all holding our bitcoins without knowing the definite price of bitcoin in the future. No one controls it, that's for sure. Not any name, organization.
1890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lost phone with bitcoin wallet on: February 11, 2021, 06:46:54 AM
If you link your e-mail, contact number or any way you can retrieve your old account I guess you can get it. But really? 2 years ago? That was a long time ago and if I were you I wouldn't have much hope to get the bitcoin wallet back. Unless you still have access with the contact info you linked in your wallet. If ever you gained that bitcoin wallet back make sure that no one can access it anymore so reset your credentials.

On a different scenario, if you haven't reclaimed it I suggest you create backups and save your information in a safe place so that you won't have to worry if ever you lost your phone again.
1891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a new investment on: February 11, 2021, 05:44:28 AM
Bitcoin is one of the strong cryptocurrency and it is the most stable digital coin nowadays. Also, bitcoin is one of the promising investment in digital world. Since, peoples economy nowadays are unstable due to the pandimic situation in the world. Peoples are looking for new source of income to improve their economy. Do you think bitcoin is the best investment choice nowadays to earn money?
Many companies and small businesses are heavily affected by the pandemic; we actually see physical stores closing due to the rapid change because of what happened. Slowly they are adapting the new normal but they experienced great loss before that happens. On the other hand, bitcoin as an investment is definitely good, since it is managed through the internet; you control it with just your device and your connection. Also, it's your decision when will you hold or withdraw your profit. Of course you need to learn how will you successfully manage your holdings so that you won' e frustrated in the long run.
1892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I made 3 new cartoon episodes of secrets of bitcoin and darknet. on: February 09, 2021, 07:18:52 AM
The videos are good, and just right quality for one person to do it. In a few minutes you have explained important information about what people need to know about crypto currencies and such. Thank you for the clips and I hope you make more for the new users who became interested in bitcoin. It's also good that you put it in a situation like scenarios so information will not be overloaded to the viewers.

Kudos to your project!  Smiley
1893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Bitcoin on: February 09, 2021, 06:29:26 AM

Brother, nothing is perfect in this world. Bitcoin, as well as, any other currency, has its respective advantages and disadvantages. It's important to know about this before getting all in the Blockchain revolution.

One of Bitcoin's biggest disadvantages is price volatility. Who will want to use something that widely fluctuates in price as a currency for day-to-day payments?

This is very true. Even in the past few years this is the main 'disadvantage' the people are talking about when it comes to Bitcoin. The arguments before are about uncertainty of the price, and there's nothing we can do about it. But as time passes by, the people have accepted this truth and still continue to do transactions using bitcoin. It is a fundamental truth about it, and if we cannot accept this truth, might as well stop using it.
1894  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Kolsener Ahente na Nag Trade/HODL ng Bitcoin? on: February 06, 2021, 04:18:37 AM
Magandang idea na habang nagwo-work ka as a call center agent, naisipan mong mag-start pumasok sa bitcoin and cryptocurrency. I already tried entering a call center company and I think a good percentage will be 10% of your monthly income, or it really depends on how you will budget your money. Especially kung wala ka naman ganun karaming responsibilities, better if magdagdag ka pa ng share. It will really be worth it. Good luck in your journey Smiley
1895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much btc do you need to secure your future? on: February 06, 2021, 03:52:35 AM
Yes, it really depends on where you live and what is your lifestyle. Securing 5 or 10 is bit too much actually. You can secure your future (I am assuming in my situation), but still don't be complacent; it is better if the money is actively flowing. Given the price of 1 bitcoin is that much, and it does not stop there. So having such money 1 btc or a few will definitely enough for a good future.

The people living in Southeast Asin country will be the ones who get some decent amount of earnings because living in this part of the world is not expensive.

Yes, I can agree to this statement because that's actually a big amount for us, big time.
1896  Economy / Economics / Re: All world banks need bitcoin now big solution on: February 06, 2021, 03:27:11 AM
Banking institution are under the regulation of the central bank and central bank is created by the government, so why would a government allow bitcoin to be a reserve, it's risky asset and banks are usually insured by the government so it does not really make sense.

I understand that other private institution are doing that, but banks, I doubt they win.

They would create their own centralized digital coins but would not trust or allow bitcoin to be their reserved.

I agree with the statement. If central bank and government will use that kind of method how will they regulate the money? I bet they won't do that. Fiat currencies are way too different with crypto and government can't just put their assets into a thing that is not controlled by anyone or anything. They won't like uncertainty. Central bank has a different concept from bitcoin so the future is bleak in terms of government institutions relying on crypto.
1897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk adds #Bitcoin to his Twitter bio on: February 05, 2021, 05:22:25 PM
Really now. A lot of people making assumptions just because Elon Musk tweeted something about bitcoin... We should know that that's not how it really works. There may be some factors about it but I think it's not entirely true. Bitcoin is not affected by this kind of factors alone and we know that it can't be controlled by anyone or any organization, even if it is an influencer or a famous one.
1898  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How do you increase the ranking for beginners? on: February 05, 2021, 02:03:29 PM
How do you increase the ranking for beginners?
please guide because I am still a beginner  Huh Huh Smiley Smiley
because I don't know what to do
Why would a newbie focus on ranking up fast? It's wrong move and it can lead to practising means on ranking up that's against the rules of this forum, learn about crypto is why you are here I guess? Start engaging in good conversations and make good contributions you will get ranked up when you least expected
I think they just want to know since they are interested. Given the fact that this is a thread for beginners, they're not actually wrong to ask this kind of questions. Instead of criticizing them, teach newbies where they should read more information in specific topics.

As for the OP, you're welcome in the forum to ask questions and share your thoughts about a specific topic. I suggest, as a newbie, you should read first rules and regulations and the pinned topics for the topics you are interested in. Happy reading and posting Smiley
1899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some important tips about the bitcoin market on: February 05, 2021, 12:38:18 PM
I do not recommend you to buy as much as you can because that will be too risky. If the market is down or drops too far, you will panic and cut lose your trade, and if you do that many times, you will get a big loss quickly. It will be better to buy with the money you can afford to lose, so you will not feel too sad if the price drops too deep. Besides that, you will have more money that you can use to buy back again or try to search for the other coin to buy while you still wait for the previous coin to increase. It is about how you manage your money.

It is important to not be reckless in making decisions especially in your money. You would not want all of the money you invested go to waste, right?? Always think thoroughly on how much will you put in it, and it is true to buy with the money you can't afford to lose. It's better if you have plans and set your short term and long term goals.

The number 1 tip "buy as much as you can" is buy bitcoin as much as you think that is not too risky for you.
1900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is an investment on: February 05, 2021, 10:53:15 AM
It's fine to hold it just a little longer since the price is not bad, and maybe after weeks or months you may want the price and sell what you hold. But still, it is really up to you if you want to hold it in and have a greater profit in the future. Bitcoin is really an investment and it's actually good for investing because you are in control of what would you want to do with it, and you can consider your other plans with it.
