so even if i wanted 1000units and had ordered 150units direct from fried cat before, he wouldn't take my order?

2862  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 08, 2013, 08:26:30 AM
just kill cgmiiner in the process tab,(if you see anything about max children, kill it also) kill it 2 times and then goto startup and then RESTART cgminer
2863  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Announcement] Block Erupter USB on: July 08, 2013, 07:53:42 AM
Why does no one else in the EU just order 1000 direct from friedcat and sort all this out themselves? the whole yxt thibg has turned into a big waiting game for nothing.
2864  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 08, 2013, 07:51:46 AM
I cracked it! Hitting 120GH on a 3 module now Cheesy

I hope you upgraded the PSU before doing this on units you plan on selling
2865  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 07, 2013, 07:54:58 PM
did you blow your avalon up yet? around 30% hadware errors i think. why would you think you can do this?

I have been running stable my batch #1 Avalon at 375mh/s with 3 modules since Strombom released his firmware.. believe me it's never going to blow up, I'm also using a 1600w PSU. I could manage to perform it smoothly for more than 2 days without restarts since >3 weeks.

Now the problem is different, as you can see I got my batch #2 unit.. unfortunately the results are not as expected. I received a damaged module and it's causing me troubles. This explain the high HW rate. I couldn't figure out yet how to recognize the bad PCB in order to replace it.

BTW, I already changed the freq. at 350mh/s but still getting a high HW error rate.. As Ckolivas stated, HW is not going to damage your unit is just a pointer of wasted energy.

Currently I'm wasting 30 Gh/s and energy Sad I 'll donate to anyone who help me figuring out this.

tun it on 345MHZ, this runs much more stable for me, or 355

it's interesting to see the "avalon bitcoin" trend
2867  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon Batch 2# got tracking number but still nothing on DHL site on: July 07, 2013, 02:50:05 PM
i think he means a person or company can generate a tracking number online quite easily, this does not mean it has been passed to the courier..... which appears to the case here as he says Avalon have confirmed they were not actually sent, must be sat in the back of the warehouse Smiley
2868  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 07, 2013, 12:09:36 PM
Hi, I'm having restarts every hour. Currently running the 20130703 firmware on my #2 module unit and 20130627 on my #4 module unit (I just merged 4 modules in another case).

I'm running stable at 375Mh/s with the other unit I have but still getting hashing power below the estimated 160Gh/s in total (I'm loosing 30 Gh/s !!).

Maybe the restarts I'm having is due to the damaged board I received? Who knows how to locate the non-working piece? I already measured the temperature of each chip (they're all hot)  Huh

A nice line graph displaying each workers hashrate would be cool instead of just the one line
2870  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [~15,300Gh] Semi-private mining pool on: July 06, 2013, 03:33:35 PM
Getting quite a large difference it pool estimates for my avalons, they tend to be quite even and balanced around 81-83gh on other pools, 93ghs from a overclocked 3 module batch 1 would be nice though Smiley

2871  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: July 06, 2013, 01:44:32 PM
can i ask what acceptable HW error rates are?
All my machines are running the 20130519b firmware, 2 of my machines i have set on 355mhz and they are getting around 1.6% - 1.8% HW if i do the equation HW x 100 / diff1shares(+HW), these 2 machines have been runnning around 84gh steadily.

My other 3 machines i have set on 345mhz and they get around 0.5-07% errors and they run at around 82ghs

2873  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER fixed price auction 4.5BTC/share, 1000 shares on: July 06, 2013, 07:34:13 AM
Should we expect a PM from friedcat to verify the completion of the transfer of shares? Or should we wait until the next dividend to see?
Dividend.

so does that mean wait until next Wednesday?

2877  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: [.25BTC BOUNTY]must be stoned or stupid. can't get my USB block erupters mining on: July 04, 2013, 04:28:05 PM
use BFGminer it is much easier to get setup with your erupters, just install the windows drivers, i can pm you a link to the file if you like?

then you just download bfgminer and then make your .bat file containing your pool details, pm me for help
