i would not have them blowing toward a wall or whatever, this is just going to create heat around the chips and cause them t run badly, hot and fans at full capacity, If you have any loved ones they will kill you.
Better to have them blowing out the way and in-taking air from the wall, which can act as i giant heat sink if cold enough
it does look slightly hazardous, many it's just the wires give that impression. Ever heard of a cable tie? You generally get a bag in the box with your PSU.
@Cyper: unlucky dude, glad you got it fixed! i think the stock is more like 370 - 380 on these miners.
cc Hi, During the night one of my PSU's died, moving the rig into the new location today where the temp does not rise above 8c, Just need to find a good way of mounting all the ants and PSU's, I know it's stupid running so many PSU's but I find it cheaper in the long run. Will update later upon new setup. Also got my PM from Bitmain anyone else ? glad to see you have neatened things up, i have to say it is quite strange one of your PSU died given how your operation was set up

Im trying to fathom the sort of brain that would steal millions and think he has a right to not be harassed. I cant even process it.
The kind of crazy Italian who is crazy enough to pull of a million dollar scam and succeed so far. Crazy enough to hire a mob hitman perhaps.....

i hate to quote myself but okay, you must change your wired adapter settings to 192.168.1.xx to log into the miner i think
network sharing center > change adapter settings > ethernet > ipv4 > properties
|
|
|
all ants will come with the same IP on the sticker.
learn to crawl before you run. configure them one at a time, you can change the IP of the first to a static IP on your correct subnet once you can access it.

does your router use the same subnet?
command > ipconfig
you may need to change your wired connection adapter settings

Yeah a wished to be one of them but I am not. Despite of the price this is best customer service here for sure. I can stand my words.
Friedcat kicked the ass out of customer service in my opinion, hard to beat!

Another Item REFUSED TO RETURN but demands FREE Comp...
Stated a defective Control Card on the Antminer S1, gave in and sent him a replacement 1st but he is not returning the SUPPOSEDLY DEFECTIVE Control Card as of YET.
HE COULD NOT PROVIDE ANY PROOF THAT IT WAS NOT WORKING.
SELLER BE AWARE FALSE CLAIM. (NOT A TRUSTWORTHY BUYER) SUSHI i am calling you out as a liar. Show me a screen shot of the email where you give me the return address! You cannot because you never did and you don't even know it.... sad but true. You sir are a liar and you have failed, your communication sucks you could not even send me a return address, without then blaming it on me for not sending the itme. I 100% admit i have not returned the control board as you failed to tell me where to return it..... Stop blaming others your communication failures It was you who came on team viewer and declared the control board faulty and said a new one would be sent out..... so that's your proof it was faulty right there....... you made the decision......

No problem dude It's fun to help people and it was nice chatting If your ever out this way feel free to Pm me for a beer it should climb with time. I need to head out for a few hours, can probably help you out again later if any problems arises or persist though. edit: also if you read my PM, it is relevant to why you could not access the miner. I do think it is still on wifi at the moment? will run more stable on cable connection but you will need to follow the steps in the PM for it to work via cable if i am correct in my thinking

Guys first of all I would like to thank all of you that helped me get passed my problem. I have managed to edit and save the configuration file and I am not getting any errors. My problem now is that I am not getting any mining out of my Antminer either. Miner status shows zero activity even though there are no errors now. What? ? What do I do? Team viewer would make this soooo much easier, could probably have you up and mining in 5minutes like i did Edgar last night

push the down arrow, you should be able to scroll down utnil you find the bit listed in PDF

okay just a long shot here.
Try changing the DNS address's listed in the connection, don't use the reouter default. Use 8.8.8.8 & 8.8.4.4 this might solve your problem if you are connecting via cable?

I can try, I am not the best with writing or describing.
First connect to the miner using putty by entering it's IP address
enter the user name which is root
enter the password which is user defined
enter this txt - vi /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh this brings up the config and the ability to edit.
hit the "r" key, this enables the ability to write over current text. You must push "r" before writing over each piece of current text.
when down hit esc buttong then type a ":" and then type wq
then /etc/init.d/cgminer.sh restart should restart
EDIT: the above is not accurate. I would have to run it through myself to find out exactly
