Official QCN pool is with 10% fee - WTF ?

What do you mean? All pools receive no more than 3%.

Does anybody have newer block chain for Windows 64 bit ( on main page is pretty old)
I'm still using a 32 bit version because my RAM sucks.
Wow dude, you should add some extra RAM into your PC and get a new version of Windows. For sure.

You can download fresh blockchain here. It's general blockchain for all OS.

Important update!

Please upload the new binaries

Win64
Mac OS X
Linux
Source

It has been a long time since I posted anything new and now I'm presenting you with a fresh release with some important updates. First of all, they will help with the upcoming big things and secondly I'm sure you will appreciate them as users.

  • The high-level API for wallet and node has been implemented. Devs will be able to create new services conveniently and quickly. This update allows to finalize a cross-platform GUI wallet in the nearest future.
  • The CryptoNight hash function was optimized to top speed.
  • Blockchain now occupies 450 Mb instead of 1.3 Gb because it has been transferred from the RAM.
  • Blockchain is no longer different depending on OS. There are 3 files instead of 1. You will need the blockindexes.dat & blocks.dat files in order to synchronize. The blockscache.dat file will be created by the daemon while processing in order to get the blocks quicker.

I've uploaded new blockchain, you can download it here.

I was wondering, does the Quazarcoin RPC port on simplewallet support SSL?

Unfortunately the answer is no.

Today I discovered video guides for windows users. They are really useful and helpful. Whoever is using Windows, must try it. I highly recommend them.

Thanks.

Video guides can be viewed here:

My web browser, Google Chrome, has some sort of problems with Vimeo. I don't know exactly what it is, my Flash player is ok, but I can't watch the videos which were uploaded on vimeo. Can you upload it on YouTube?
Actually I suggest you to instal another web browser or, at least, reinstall your OS. Maybe it will help.
In my opinion it's not a browser problem. Something with OS or Flash player.

I'll upload guides on youtube this week.

Where I can find transaction information and transaction id (TxID)? help please!

With simplewallet type in "incoming_transfers", without the quotes, and it will give you a list of incoming transfers along with the their transaction ids. For outgoing I'm not sure because I never did one. Maybe you find out when you do the transfer. The GUI wallet must also give this information. You will notice that each transaction is broken up into several transfers, the reason for this having to do with anonymity.

As FasterStronger has said, you can find this same information in "simplewallet.log". That is a text file located in the same folder as the simple "simplewallet" executable, at least that's how it is in Linux.

Thanks for your help.

I feel that it's time to trade my QCN with Bitcoin. What exchanges can you advice?

You can use the HitBTC exchange hitbtc.com/terminal/QCNBTC

Ext-Pool (0% fee)
http://qcn.ext-pool.net

Omar G Pool (0.5% fee)
http://omargpools.ca/qcn

Cryptity Pool (0.5% fee)

What have happened to this pool? it turns out, nobody will lose his money and we can be calm about it?

No worries, the pool owner sent all payments.

I have a question about the competition. How do the pools with fee survive if there are a lot of them without it at all? Are they much better with something?

The better question is why pools with 0% fee exist. What is the profit for there devs? That's why I choose those with fee only

For example, 33zer0w0lf kindly reduced the fee to 0% to help QCN-miners. Join to this pool http://qcn.extremepool.org.

Here's a small but important update

The backdoor which had the possibility to make a fork of blockchain was closed. Last week one of the CryptoNote coins was under attack.

Kindly update your binaries.

Anyone else having trouble getting coins from minin.gs? Or just me? Emailed support and nothing

You can send PM to gpools who is the pool owner.

Done that twice.

I'll just consider the 200 coins stolen until I get an answer from him. Needless to say I'm mining elsewhere now - my own fault for leaving it running over the weekend and not checking sooner.

Gpools, minin.gs have had 3 chances to reply to me and pay me - maybe they should be taken off the ANN OP Oracion

Why do you think that they should be taken off the ANN OP Oracion?

I haven't got any troubles, when I used minin.gs. I suppose you making something wronпg

Previously I hadn't had any troubles either when mining there a month ago, I jumped to hashinvest when the payment issues started and also because hashinvest seemed more stable for the miner I was using.
I went back to minin.gs when hashinvest closed the qcn pool, according to their home page the automatic payout issues where fixed.
I now have just over 200 coins sitting on my pending payout, gpools has had more than enough time to reply to me - he has been online after each pm I sent
sorry but i'm not home can't send you qcn now i'm payment please don't use my pool .@OracionSeis  please remove my pool on OP

I've removed gpools on the OP&site. gpools, please check PM.

If anyone didn't receive the payments with this pool PM me. Also I've send PM to thoridan and I'll solve this problem.
