Logo contest for QuazarCoin (QCN) QuazarCoin is a new cryptocurrency based on the CryptoNote protocol. It uses the CryptoNight algorithm which is the most democratic today, fully ASIC-resistant and only CPU-mineable. QuazarCoin protects your data and privacy through unlinkable transactions with ring signatures. QuazarCoin was launched 5/8/2014 after discussion in the community without premine or instamine. Now QCN has a fast miner for Win32/64, Linux and OS X 10.9.
QCN needs to a logo which must be like a 'rock-star' for cryptocurrencies. The contest will be ended May, 25 and then the community will vote for the winner Reward is 250 QCN for the best logo. If you want to help, please send QCN in our bounty fund. There is QCN address: 1R9wwAH68XNGHZBsSCbyPL5EBepCoqnPPYpUuYx7jyZtc1SqekoM5p4iiB4EnkHBMXUrkwg7vR35vcoC6h48t7AjKXqXWqX

Even though Quazarcoin didn't add anything to the technology yet, we believe it can serve the purpose of distinct positioning of CryptoNote on the market. We urge you to create the community that will benefit the technology development. Anyway, as for now we're ready to announce QCN as a CryptoNote coin. In any case, could you submit a 50x50 px logo of the coin for our website? Link: https://forum.cryptonote.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=181#p568Great, I'll send a temporary logo.

I wrote a letter to MintPal in order they add BCN, BMR/MRO, FCN and QCN to the vote list. Waiting for the answer now.
Thank you, keep me posted!

Solo mining for 5 days straight with 15hs and found nothing Take 'refresh' your wallet, pls. I mined 3 days and found nothing, and then found 3 blocks sequentially.

Is there anything new in this coin? Something innovational?
For example: full data/privacy protection via unique algo CryptoNight, flattened curve issue and ASIC-resistance, looking to compare.

Price of QuazarCoin: what to expect?
I think price will be 0.0001-0.0002 BTC for 1 QCN. What do you think?
Soon I will make a manual exchange and you'll have the possibility to see it live.

In case this may be a problem, I post the following image of a console window. https://i.imgur.com/R6vkxGd.pngThe dark yellow characters describing "unknown top block." I rarely see (or have not seen) this messages in a bitmonerod console. Is this related to a blockchain corruption attack which monero faced? Or possibly someone is trying selfish-mining attacks? Thank you. When you use daemon do you use 'save' and 'exit' commands when you close the daemon window? If you don't do this, mistakes of such sorts may appear. They do not influence the work of the system and are not related to the attacks.

I know that miners which use win64 have some hashrate problems. I am now working on it.

Oh and someone was mining it before the launch? Yeah, my bad, somebody got first 4 blocks before the launch. I think the rep was found. Well, to be precise, you had already posted a direct link to your github repository in the original post at the time this mining started. How do I know? I followed the link in the OP when I came across your post (either directly to the github repo, or to your coin's webpage, which itself at that time had a link to the github repo), compiled the source, and mined block #2 in the blockchain. In hindsight it looks like I did this before any 17 GMT "release time" you had posted in the thread. At the time, I didn't do the calculation in my head from GMT to my local time since you had released the source and provided a link to it. I suspect it was 20-30 minutes before 17 GMT, if that helps. Best regards, and good luck. Shit. Thank you, I hope, you will stay with us.

OracionSeis you did a good work anyway. Thanks and respect.
+1 May be I can help you somehow? I'm rather good at coding CryptoNote based coins' developers should support each other. Hm, cool! Check PM.

is that hard to create GUI for cryptonote coins? UI design should be simple with RPC calls. If Quazar can make a GUI it will definitely more popular than other CryptoNote alts.
I agree with you and will do it later.

Oh and someone was mining it before the launch? Yeah, my bad, somebody got first 4 blocks before the launch. I think the rep was found. Meanwhile the Diff is already at: 890654 That is astonishing, I know. Sorry, folks, I'll get back to recheck the source code and add 32-binaries. Will be back
