HHTTReliable and low fees. spiccioli

2% or 3% fees. this is the only anecdote.
Where do you get that? They list the full block rewards including transaction fees in their block table. Unfortunately my hashrate is too low to calculate accurately whether there is a fee or not, since the percentage of my shares relative to total is truncated to two decimals. Someone with 1% or more of the pool's hashrate should be able to calculate how high the fee is with a low enough error margin. 3% PPLNS, Transaction Fees are paid to miners There are much cheaper pools... spiccioli

Well, with vardiff and a 25GH/s you'd end up with a low difficulty value to keep a certain share-per-minute rate, but a "high" fee.
Well, pool could set a maximum share per minute and force miners to use the resulting diff. value if the one set by the miner is too low. This would make fireduck expenses more predictable, btw. spiccioli

I'm not sure that colour is the reason. For me, some of the stumbling block is fees. I'm more than happy to pay them, but of course they decrease with difficulty increase. I feel this is innappropriate unless Variable Diff is included in the pool.
To lower my fees, I put my diff as 130 (ish) but because I have only 25gh/s to my name, it take ages to find even one share, but I pay less fees. I recently had a go at comparing emc with hhtt, and I'm trying to decide which pool to settle on. (which considering Josh is an A hole should be an easy decision)
If fees were based on the same priciple, but used varidiff instead of 'pick a number and use it' it would be a little fairer in my opinion.
Thanks
Well, with vardiff and a 25GH/s you'd end up with a low difficulty value to keep a certain share-per-minute rate, but a "high" fee. I think that pool fees are high when difficulty is low mostly because the high availability solution fireduck is using is costing him monies and the more shares a miner sends the more it costs him (amazon message services have a fixed, even if low, cost per message sent). By the way, you don't have to put your difficulty at 130 given that minimum difficulty used by pool (if not explicitly set by miner) is 128 now. In any case, adding a fees paid field to user data could be usefull to see how much one is paying in fees at any given time, which does not solve your issue, but at least shows you how much your spending... spiccioli

Nice luck last night, 2 blocks Apparently probability is for quitters and we should just continue finding all the zeros. Yeah, but we should really ask ourselves why are they leaving? What is making them swith pool? Pool's variance only? If half of those that mined here for one day were still here, pool would be at 100 TH at least. I'm starting to think that, apart from variance, the current coloring scheme of pool's home page could be annoying for someone and, worst, everybody has some coloring combination that annoys him and which gets selected randomly during the day. For example, this one is unbearable for me... http://imgur.com/VW3qlvJNow, I don't know if coloring is the real issue, but such violent colors can make your co-workers wonder what you're staring at, for example, which could be annoying in itself So my question is: fireduck do you think that it would be possible to have some way for users to choose a color combination they like and "freeze" it for the future? What do others here think about this issue? spiccioli

339x paid July 7 Jupiter DHL to Texas
Nice, this confirms my idea that their hosting offer is a FRAUD, plain and simple. If they were able to ship your unit, where is mine that I paid on June 12th? Those who paid more are served later than those who paid less, go figure! spiccioli ps. obviously their customer care is not able to answer this simple question and keeps repeating that they're doing their best... 'Orama, what do your new friends tell you about this clusterfuck that is the hosting solution? I got an email from Emilia stating they're going to refund my Jupiter and my hosting's costs. So, hosting is not a fraud, but simply a clusterfuck. Anyway, the fact they're refunding customers due to current hosting situation is the correct and honest way to handle it and I have to say that I appreciate it. spiccioli

Well their orderbook is not a large physical book they leave open on a desk somewhere, i'm imagine it is electronic and secure, as such sorry mate I cannot tell you as I don't know the answer.
I don't know if it is electronic and secure but I can tell you their order book is a mess, because they're shipping completely out of payment order! It's not even that they cannot build units fast enough, they're building them but then they ship those units randomly. And the order book is not the worst thing! Hosting is where they're shining right now given how they're royally screwing those who paid for it and which either have underperforming units nobody cares for or don't even have their unit available, which is my situation. spiccioli

My Order #2389 Paid 19th June 1 x Jupiter to the UK.
Location Date Local Time Activity Jonkoping, Sweden 15/10/2013 18:30 Departure Scan Sweden 15/10/2013 5:15 Order Processed: Ready for UPS
Looking like tomorrow for delivery.
I would like to thank Alex (bitcoinorama) for his input, that helped me make an inform decision when going for KNC.
Sh** My order, #205X, 1 Jupiter, paid one week earlier + hosting, so that it could hash faster, they said, nowhere to be seen. Not in hosting I don't even have credentials to access hosting site, no compensation of any kind and I've spent (stupid me) 2600 USD for hosting so that it could mine earlier... nice job KnC. spiccioli. well, it makes sense that that order would be coming online probably tomorrow... relax... but I hear ya... 2600 ouch. Hosting price was outrageous to begin with.... and they had no pool experience, so I opted to host myself, glad I did. Sorry, but given the outrageous cost of hosting, as you say, hosting orders paid on day X had to come online _before_ all shipping orders of that day. Instead we have tens or hundreds of orders paid one week later being shipped right now and an order paid one week earlier which is missing and which has missed one week of hashing at 190 mil diff and as such will start hashing after a 40% (one of the highest jump this year so far) increase. This is the perfect way to screw a customer which trusted them not only on their hardware but on their pricey service as well. spiccioli

Please fix this issue before it's too late! spiccioli I managed to tackle the shipment on last second. It should get the new Express Label on it and start tracking later today. Please be patient!
