301  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 51% Attack on LTC Bet on: December 06, 2011, 05:19:39 AM

I assume you are "SolidCoinPorn" over at the SolidCoin forums. If so, I have 60SC waiting for you from the mooncoin refund, I just need you to return to the SC forums and PM me, or post a refund address in the mooncoin deposit thread.

Squeaky wheel gets the grease  Cheesy   I will PM an address when I get to the comp I have my wallet on.  That is one less issue I now have with Solidcoin, was the handling of these refunds.  I can understand since then though, the client has gone through changes and what not, anyways, thanks.

I think it would be neat to have a rainbow shine type effect on this, if that's even possible.

Yeah.  I have no clue how this all works or the pricing that goes into materials.  But could a completely clear glass, plastic, whatever coin be made.  The L etched on the coin itself.  Maybe a circle frame as well.  Then have a layer of see through hologram sticker placed on top that would make it have that shine?  Would that look cheap in the end though?  More toy like than solid? No solid coin jokes people lol.   I have large image files of the L design, there are rapidshare links in the Litecoin design contest thread of psd files.

303  Economy / Services / Re: Introducing the Bitcoin100: A Kickstarter for Charities on: December 06, 2011, 01:06:38 AM
I think there is a misunderstanding of the term pledge.  Though everyone is encouraged to put their money in the address now, I am personally waiting for the first charity to be chosen, and that is okay for everyone to do that.   I wish I put a "adjustable to current market rates" cap on my pledge donations, but it's okay, good causes, karma and all that.

That first post does look messy for some reason, yet it has a lot of information, someone needs to do a quick page or something so there can just be a link with a big 'go here' flashing gif lol

He probably got grounded by his mother for displaying his ego to too many strangers. No supper tonight and no internet young man.

I heard that post in this voice.

I basically took out every other space in the sentence.   Atlas, you should make this guy the theme to your next online persona.

Pro: Will probably actually end up liking Bitcoin and spreading true awareness among people that would appreciate and use the currency.

Con: Maybe not a charitable cause under most peoples definition.

310  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Physical Litecoins on: December 03, 2011, 12:57:37 PM
I think I would pay up to $20 for a see through Litecoin.   I was thinking about going to McDonalds as they have a promotion going on with these Coca Cola cups for free or something

That one all the way in the back of the row, take the bottom of the cup, glass cutter, yup, diy litecoin lol.  I would need to up my etching skills, as I have none.   Maybe it is too early for the coins.  Could we see a mock up of what the bar would look like?
311  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your thoughts on the web based mining ? on: December 02, 2011, 03:58:15 AM
A browser plugin would be more effective way of getting people on board.

Like this http://bitminter.com/ ?

Also, thinking about trying some of these ideas again with this https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=52386.0
312  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Mt.Gox reloaded : Welcome to Mt.Gox's new and improved design! on: December 02, 2011, 03:41:23 AM
I'm glad others are seeing issue with that Wikipedia quote thing.  I see the designers argument as far as I guess what would be an "unbiased" source.  But then that is a lie, as the source is Bitcoincharts, they put the work in to make that sweet site that is reliable for information that is not tied to any one exchange.    I guess though technically the quote is from Wikipedia because I don't think Bitcoincharts puts it's information in sentence form.  Still, using Wikipedia as a source should not sit right just based on the site is just a bunch of sources really, and your quote was pulled from just one source, that is no longer getting credit Sad

I have been staring at it long enough. PUT ME IN THE 69 GAGE!

However I am only good for 2btc with one org.  But I will go 1btc more for a second org.  Or if you want 3btc split with 1btc per org for up to three orgs.  However you want to cut it up.  Make it so.
314  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Online Litecoin Miner - beta testers wanted! on: December 02, 2011, 02:51:54 AM
The real scam here is advertisers that allow sound pop ups or even embedded flash ads, that have sound enabled by default, and don't give me a pop up warning, an email, an instant message, and a fax, before the sound is blasting through my speakers.

Kano, your view of what a scam is skewed or you have some kind of personally history with technologies that have the ability to be good and bad, what is going on here man, where does this hard on for web mining come from?  You seem to be pestering the people who want to use it legitimately.  Is the fear someone uses a botnet and opens a thousand browser windows to mine or something?  That is the only worst case scenario I can think of, but honestly there may be more I am not, I am curious where your hate comes from.

Edit: In fairness, is it my view that is skewed where I believe that even knowing that it will be abused by somebody, there can be good to come from this?
315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Online Litecoin Miner - beta testers wanted! on: December 02, 2011, 12:43:41 AM
I am still taken back that someone finally up and made this work again, I swear there was a time I had a stack of suggestions and things, but as I am not a coder I never knew how hard or easy it is to do.  I am thinking on a web site to design around this.  Things are working pretty smooth so far, the ability to tweak as many settings as you have made tweakable is already making this better than previous online miners imo.
316  Bitcoin / Project Development / "Charity Search" - Can this site be done, but with Bitcoin? on: December 01, 2011, 09:54:51 PM

http://www.thecharitysearch.org/about

Someone do it quickly before people hear about this site Wink

Is there not enough tools available where this site could easily be cloned, and if not, improved?  I see many Bitcoin charity sites, or at least I think I have, maybe there isn't that much, but it seems people are always doing things for good causes for Bitcoin, in attempts of course to help promote Bitcoin as well.

Someone take this and run with it please, I am not going to do anything with this, just seems like a good enough set it and forget it site, where the only real bother would probably be the initial set up.
317  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin + Social Media + Viral Marketing + Political Warfare on: December 01, 2011, 09:13:46 PM
tweet gets somewhere unwanted,
or receiver does't know what it is,
or just forgets about it, discards it, never collects and so on ?
These thoughts apply to every single marketing technique ever made.   Advertisements are a roll of a dice.

Cheesy  Edited post.  I must be swayed easily by Trek references.
