301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: February 20, 2024, 10:30:25 PM
I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive. It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win. When we talk about work, it usually means we're not particularly wealthy, and imagine what happens when we gamble money we can't afford to lose, especially when we're not earning much.

Let me tell you, the feeling is far from pleasant. It leads to a decline in your work performance, which can have significant consequences since that's your primary source of income. It might be manageable if you're winning, but the harsh reality is often quite the opposite. Even when we do win, we tend to spend most of our winnings, so we don't treat it as business money. This leaves us in a precarious situation when we lose because the money we initially budgeted for our families gets diverted to cover unexpected gambling-related expenses.

I'd like to hear from those of you who have experienced this or are still dealing with it. Please share your testimonies.

I keep what little gambling I do to outside of work, as it is a leisure time activity and if you're incapable of setting boundaries it could lead down a slippery slope to things like addiction. If you are feeling the urge that bad to gamble throughout the whole day, it's quite possible that you have a problem that should be worked on or it could end up at a very expensive final destination. Maybe I'm lucky, but I enjoy my job which means that most of the day is filled with activities that keep me busy, although in the past there have been jobs where this sort of boredom could set in. One thing to consider is you're at work to earn money, so it seems a bit silly to be throwing it away as you're sat around earning it.
302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a generous gamblers on: February 19, 2024, 08:51:20 PM

I just met a friend while playing in a lottery called Keno. He is a good gambler and sometimes hits jackpots. As a pensioner with grown children, he is a heavy bettor. I noticed that he is a generous gambler. He uses half of his winnings to treat friends, neighbors, and relatives every time he wins. He does this to invite good karma and since he acknowledges his gambling addiction, people who know him don't question him.

One of his friends asked him why he kept betting instead of saving so he would have something when he needed it.

His answer was straightforward,
Quote
'I am betting so when I win I can share half of my winnings with my friends and relatives who need money like you.
' I was surprised by his answer. His friends felt guilty for asking him. Some gamblers are that generous to avoid questions about their gambling activities and to continue gambling.

How about you? Are you generous and if so, why are you generous?

In my case, I am a little generous because winning is a blessing that should be shared. However, I will not make people feel guilty when I give an amount from my blessing.

In these sort of situations, especially when someone is a pensioner - they will use these games as a way to socialize in person and be around other people, as life can get lonely for some people. Being generous, especially when you've got a sizable retirement safety net to fall back on, or no other family to spend it on, can be an outlet for entertainment. At the end of the day, if someone has worked hard their whole life and made it into retirement with enough money to get by and still splash out on such pursuits, then who are we to question them. Let them enjoy their time and it is much better to be a happy, generous gambler than a moody a selfish one - the world has enough of those already.
303  Economy / Economics / Re: My top 3 picks for up coming crash on: February 19, 2024, 08:36:57 PM
Biggest hit will get Luxury goods and yachts and expensive art work.
Then will be cars and real estate europe UK USA and Canada off course.
Real estate it depends but over Southern europe like spain Costa del sol Im expecting one of the biggest real estate  crash.
But Luxury goods and brands will take first hit i think biggest hit will take expensive art work.

Everything what's not traded in exchangers are dangerous assets to hold.

Im expecting the crash will start in few months.

Yet again, picking random crap out of the air without giving any evidence, references or sources for your ideas. Saying luxury goods are the first to be hit during a recession is like saying water is wet, it's clear and obvious from all prior recessions this is what happens because even the richest people start to hurt a little bit and get protective of their resources when the rest of the world is burning. Property also takes a dip in even the mildest recession as lending can often seize up as banks again are more suspicious of borrowers and try to shore up their own defenses as defaults rise. On what basis are you expecting this crash exactly? Because these forums are full of endless predictions of the same kind and few ever turn out to be true.
304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Wins: Your Money Was Returned to You. on: February 19, 2024, 08:19:18 PM
There have been saying that before you win a game in gambling, you would have lost enough funds and that means you didn't win any new or extra money to yourself but the casino return part of your money which you have lost before to you. And some will still say that what about those who have not playing gamble before and they won in their first day in gambling. Well those people newly converts to the gambling system will still dash the casino company that win again because the first time win is always to lure them to the system and making them to perpetual adoration to gamble. And I don't think someone in the gambling industry has as a win win gambling history. Or you wins are bigger than the loss. And all the experiences I have in gambling I have not seen that and also those of my friends who are gamblers have not to me that they only win and there is no loss record in their gambling history. And all the ones I have seen and known, the loses are more than the wins. And when I carefully look at the argument I also accept the assertion that what you win was part of your loss. Is that true? Make your input.

This is true in many circumstances, but there are a couple exceptions that might break the rule. First off, I definitely think there is a "honeymoon" period when you join many casino sites, where for a certain amount of time or up to a certain amount of goes on their games, you will be likely to receive more favorable win rates than you might normally get. This would build up a distorted view of the amount you are likely to win longer term from these sites and would make perfect sense as a strategy to get new gamblers, because they are a) less likely to leave with those winnings and b) more likely to build a habit with your particular site. Be on the watch for this. The other is where you are playing genuine skill based games against other players, like poker, where you are still likely to lose money at the beginning but it's very possible to earn much more back over a long timeframe.
305  Economy / Economics / Re: No petrol/diesel car sales by 2035/ Reality or dream? on: February 19, 2024, 07:54:22 PM
Many governments are moving to push hard to reduce sales of diesel and petrol cars, the European Parliament has officially approved a law banning the sale of new petrol and diesel cars in the EU from 2035

Quote
The landmark law will require carmakers to cut down CO2 emissions by 100 percent.
The 100 percent cut in CO2 emissions from new cars sold would make it impossible to sell petrol or diesel-powered cars in the 27-country bloc. The law that comes into effect in phases that will require a 55 percent cut in CO2 emissions for new cars starting 2030, which is a much higher target in comparison to the current 37.5 percent.

Some reports indicate that the costs of running an electric car are actually lower than the costs of running a car with an internal combustion engine.
So, will this goal be achieved by the year 2035? Will the cars be more efficient and at a good price compared to current prices, or is it a policy that may take decades?

While the amount of electric car sales is definitely going up, it does not seem like the close timeframes - like 2030 or even 2035 are going to be realistic for the most advanced economies to make a shift over. Not only because of the production level of these cars, but they massive amount of infrastructure that still need to be built out in order to properly support such a transition. While it is a noble goal, countries also need to consider how dirty it really is to extract the resources that produce these batteries and also how the electric grid will be powered long term, but this is somewhat alleviated by lots of renewables coming online. That being said, oil production also has a finite shelf life and as it starts to dwindle in future, those costs may play a major part in the transfer.
306  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don't make use of what you disliked because you can't stay away from it. on: February 18, 2024, 07:42:28 PM
I opened a betting account today (don't have to mention) but when I bet on their virtual games, they don't have the kind of options I am expecting to see but only provides more like only 4 options which are home win, away win, draw and over. So I bet if I could win but luckily for me I won ×2 of what I deposited, then I withdrawed the funds and mailed them to block the account because I don't find anything suitable for my liken but they replied me saying they can't and I have to make use of the account until 90 days before they can block the account.
However, it's my money and they can't force me to use it, so they have to block the account. I see that the only way to stay away from the betting account is not to fund it again.
So can anyone force you to make use of what you don't dislike?

Virtual games are completely pointless, the casino behind the scenes controls all the levers and can manipulate you to lose at the rate that they decide. You are basically playing on a glorified random number generator with a fancy front end and some entertaining noises coming out of it. It's definitely a much better idea to wait until the funds are returned to your external wallet before letting the casino know that you do not want to use their services again. Why use two double negatives "don't dislike", it makes it very hard to understand the point that you're trying to convey. Are you trying to say nobody can force you to place bets, well that is plainly obvious and a casino would not last long unless they honor the wishes of their customers.
307  Economy / Economics / Re: People keep talking how weak dollar and how bad usa economy getting on: February 18, 2024, 10:30:04 AM
In reality it's a different USA dollar getting stronger and USA is now most influenced power in the world.
We can understood USA have most power in the world.
And dollar Even the russians dealing with dollars there was case that baltic country leader husband was dealing with russia and Also not even euro currency but dollars was used for deals.

Now people talking about bricks...that it's a backed by gold... right but who controls the gold Market? USA and UK comex its chigaco nyc and London If they want UK and USA they make gold price how they want.

The Putin x ping chuina and non of the bricks countries are not serious and looking funny until USA controls the gold price together with UK and controls the markets with USD trading currency mostly.

Even china and Putin knows they are fools and it's all circus

It's time to say how the things Are really happening in the world

You'll find that the people saying these sort of things are from parts of the world that America is crushing - either culture-wise or economically. There are a lot of patriotic people all around the world, many of them don't like the fact that their culture is not succeeding or they feel some perceived slight which is often the cause of what their leaders have brought upon them. America, relatively speaking when looking at population numbers, is punching much stronger than it's weight when compared to say India or China. That balance is shifting slightly, as you would expect when those countries adopt more of the freedoms America has, but many people in those countries still admire America a lot. I'd say just ignore the naysayers, as they have insignificant impact on reality.
308  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 18, 2024, 09:43:15 AM
The identity of a casino's team is something we rarely across in our forum even though we have like hundreds of announcement topics in this section, promoting services, gambling games and tournaments. This act typically comes around professionalism and hospitality to provide a special customer service. Showing friendliness.and deep understanding of the games offered. Team members may also be a comfortable addition to players here.

Till this day I didn't see any casino revealing the identity of their team, owners, employers and responsibles of the casino even though players are required to pass a KYC process for their identity, so I'm wondering have you ever thought about this too? and the reasons why most casinos are not doing this process?

You seem to be misrepresenting what information is being shared and with who. Owners of a casino are often identifiable through company records which are often shared publicly in many countries, in order to aid transparency. The other employees of a casino have just as much right to privacy in their place of work as any other job, the most you might hope to see broadcast is their first name on a badge if they are in front of house positions. All employees will be vetted by the company, to make sure that they follow all necessary employment and right to work laws in their country, which can be validated by the government on request. Beyond that, your personal details are not broadcast for all to see, so I'm not sure why you would expect employees to have theirs shared like that either. You are not forced to play at these gambling sites, don't act like you are.
309  Economy / Economics / Re: Not easy times in the world but how the goverment will improve? on: February 18, 2024, 09:29:19 AM
Will the goverment have plans to improve?
I mean it will be bad for health the suffering and unemployement and problems with debt.
Or you think it is now new normal ? Or the goverment will rescue the world when things will go too bad.
But If they rescue they can't print much money again the inflation problem.
The only solution i see If they take some large country and they will try to do some money printing and then directing the inflation into that country to devalue that country currency so that's the only possible way.- but that could be only temporary method.
Otherwise the goverment can't do much about it only way If they try make new ways to educate people with new smarter ways so instead of turning on money printer they will try to solve problems with new methods how to do things cheaper and how to organize our world and society smart and more energy effient ways because the world can't go on the way like it use to be when ever we have problem...we just print more money - but now i guess that's not an option because of inflation.

What i think that there is no easy solution or just magic lazy quick solution but we all have to think how to better organize and develope our lifes so we all can make more with energy efiecnt ways.

The money printing when ever we want it made the society as whole lazy and even If they find method how they can still print easy money the society will be even more lazy and by lazy i mean lazy in their mind.
Also Im not fan of Green energy or that kind of things but i see that printing money will give a lot more easy money to society we consume more and it's not good for envoirment and nature If we just consume grazy ways again Im not the Gretha Thunberg fan...but that's all got me think about it more we all are apart of our society and what Ever happens we all have responsebility.

Wow your trail of thought is all over the place and barely comprehensible. What is "the government"? What government are you referring to, as there are around 200 different countries in the world with different governments, all with different agendas and trying different strategies in all areas of life, there is no single entity. Yes, it is the objective of most governments to improve the lives of their citizens, but there is also the reality that in some countries corruption is more liable to seep into the equation and politicians may simply seek to enrich their own lives without substantially improving the lives of the people they oversee. Money printing is simply one tool among many that, if you live in a rich country, can actually benefit you because it makes your overseas debts worth less.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you stick to some Casinos or do you try out new ones? on: February 18, 2024, 09:19:16 AM
I was discussing with a friend yesterday about the choice of Casinos and the great incentives that comes with trying out these new legitimate platforms. He told me bluntly that he doesn't try out new platforms because  it will make him gamble more and will waste his time trying to understand their UI, terms and conditions and their support system. He stressed that he has already developed fondness with a few sites that treats him fine and he even has their support hot lines in case of any issues.
I challenged him that there were exciting offers in these new casinos that he's missing out on but he stressed that he was not interested in their offers, he has already built his gambling life around these few casinos and until they disappoint him, he's sold out to them.

what do you think?. Do you believe he is right with the rigid approach to gambling?,  also should I continue convincing him  to try out something new and enjoy these great offers?.

It's maybe a unique scenario compared to some other people here, but I've actually been "gubbed" or limited at a wide range of casino / sportbooks because of walking away with just the welcome bonuses and only taking advantage of the free games offered after that. However the experience of going to all these different sites indicated that a surprising amount of them all work the same way, even using the same selection of casino games and the only thing distinguishing them in many cases is the skin of the website, the customer service experience they offer and the different levels of promotions between them. This has actually left me utilizing just 3 remaining sites if I ever decide to place a small bet.
311  Economy / Economics / Re: Step up your game before the game steps you down. on: February 16, 2024, 04:15:33 PM
If only we know how bad the economy is degrading globally, we would want to push ourselves to our limit and focus on that our skill or business. Taking it up to the next level. Some persons are still skeptical about the business they own, while some are waiting for the opportunities, they were promised to them by friends or relative and others are comfortable because they have rich people around them that if they place a call, they will answer them.

As the economy is getting worst it is difficult for a responsible adult to go to bed without planning on how to grow his business or how to attract new customers, not just new though but potential customers and business partners that will have big influence in his business. Time waits for no man. Yes, the life is filled with ups and down, but we won't stop trying so that we can have that impact on the existence of man just like how other nerds have done.

The days of having a job for life are gone, business moves quick and adapts to changing situations which can mean losing large chunks of workers in one area while new areas of the economy grow. You need to keep your skills up to date and relevant, so you could more easily switch employer in future. Besides that, you should always be seeking out extra employment and money earning opportunities  outside of your regular 9 to 5 job, as you have to grab these opportunities when they are available - they can quickly disappear.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Escape Debt with Gambling: A Dangerous Cycle on: February 16, 2024, 04:09:54 PM
We all have debts somewhere or the other and we try our level best to repay that debt. While some of us can do it with ease, some of us face issue after issue to repay it. The situation leads us to find alternatives like consolidation loans or shifting existing loans to another bank at a cheaper rate. But what happens when you take a loan from a loan shark due to a bad reputation with banks? They give the loan without any problem at a high interest rate and most of the time it will be a noncollateral loan. Why I am saying all this because one of my friend has become a victim of a loan shark and to repay the loan he has now shifted to online gambling.

In my country online gambling to an extent is legal but as we all know the house always wins. He tried multiple online gambling platforms but never made any money. Two days back he called me up and said he found an online casino that had a few bugs as one of his colleague was able to cash out a handsome amount by using some tricks. I won't go into details of those tricks as it was complicated for me to comprehend, what he wanted me to check was to find out whether it is possible to trick the system. He asked me to check the casino and he even gave me his account information to try a few games.

I was earlier skeptical and denied his request but he insisted that I take a look. I did and found that the games are not that tough to be rigged if done correctly but when I checked the account balance and found out that he had already invested a good amount of money to make a win and lost a substantial it I was furious with him. Now, he wants me to help him so that he can pay off his debt at the earliest. I have already told him that gambling is a dangerous cycle and it can lead him to more debt. Still, he insists that I help him and is willing to take a risk.

I haven't replied to him and I am not answering his call as I feel I would be doing injustice if I say yes. I am confused and do not know what to do, what do you guys suggest?

It's illogical that a casino would survive very long at all, they are in the business to make money and would quickly identify any accounts that are withdrawing substantial amounts because that is highly suspicious behaviour from the company perspective. People who dig themselves into a hole when it comes to gambling can start to make up all sorts of illusions in their own mind and even try to trick others into supporting their habit further.  It sounds like your friend has fell down that hole and is trying to get your money to extend their losing streak.
313  Economy / Economics / Re: Surviving the economy with creative thinking. on: February 15, 2024, 09:28:25 PM
It has come to a point where humans can’t just seat and watch things happen for themselves. As humans leaving in this kind of economy where things are not getting easier, we have to employ the art of creative thinking skills. It is clearly seen that to survive in today’s world. You must be creative in your thinking. The world is a global village that is changing rapidly. Humans must be innovative in their ideas and should produce different techniques. Which can be implemented in order to develop commodities and create a competitive edge.this is to say creative thinking plays a prominent role in today’s world.

This has been the story since the beginning of time and it is not a new one. The most creative and resourceful people in life have always had a tendency to prosper more than those who do the bare minimum or expect an easy life to be to be handed to them. The world and business are constantly evolving over time, some jobs that might have existed 50 years have been wiped out of existence. Other jobs will move overseas where laws might be less strict and globalization means that companies can get cheaper workers, but it still benefits richer countries who are constantly progressing forward too. There is nothing new about any of this, these cycles have happened many times over centuries of human history.
314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football leagues to introduce 'sin-bin' & blue card for unruly players on: February 15, 2024, 08:56:13 PM
This is a very interesting development.
So if a player is unruly, shouts at the referee, is too defiant at referee and assistant decisions or just creates a nuisance, instead of the referee directly giving them a yellow or red. And also some types of more severe fouls that take away advantages of the other team would likely also result in a blue card. This way the players would be removed from the field for 10 minutes instead of the entire match with a direct red card. It is supposed to act as a way to punish not very serious offenses but there's a lot of backlash also.

This is a tactic that is a standard in ice hockey but actually very new to football. In ice hockey if a player acts in a bad manner, they're often sent to a section of the field where they will be isolated for a few minutes and then after some time passes they could join the field again.

According to information that has circulated it's now been said that if a player received two blue cards or a combination of blue and yellow cards, it would still be resulting in a red card.

What do you think about this?
I think from a betting perspective it'd be interesting to see blue cards included in betting options actually.

They are just starting to test this on lower leagues as an idea, but there are a lot of clubs between the grassroots level all the way up to the biggest pro leagues in many countries. If it works, then it will become normal to all the younger players who started off with it and hopefully the idea will be that players start respecting the referee to the same level as you see in other sports like Rugby. There is far too much abuse of refs, who don't always get every decision right but are doing a very tough job. Seeing players crowding them or disrespecting them sets a bad precedent to all generations, being able to send them off the pitch and putting their team at a disadvantage because someone cannot control their temper could be a very useful tool to improve the game.
315  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy pressure on: February 15, 2024, 08:40:23 PM
Pressure is something that no one would want to have at all there are some pressure that can even bring a man to see his end. So many things in this our human world can cause pressure to a man.
An example of this pressure am talking about is this our economy an economy where things rises everyday but no sufficient fund to back up with. Ok Imagine I bought a soup for 250 naira just after three days I went back to get the same soap I was told the soap is now #350 imagine me that have only 2k and have already scheduled how to spend it before I will expect something in the day coming this kind thing is another pressure I just dropped this one, there are many more  bigger than this one.

How can a family man who earns 50k with 3 kids and also paying for rent feeds and many more, how can he with stand this economy pressure where there is no stability no mouthwatering salaries at all. This days we wake up and pray things should get better but it's like our country does not accept prayers everyday increments.

Maybe your trouble with this world is that you are praying for things - wishing to some sky fairy like there is something out there going to save you and even if there were, chances are there are many people worse off than you who need helping first. How has all this praying in your life brought you to this current predicament? Maybe if there was a god, they are not even kind. Try existing without having the religious crutch to rely on and understand that man should judge man and society can make rules based on morality that changes over time. Too many societies have been ruined, because manipulative leaders twist words that were written thousands of years ago and have no reference points in the current world we live in.
316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can a betting shop be so dubious like this on: February 14, 2024, 10:06:01 PM
The betting platform is not to be blamed as the victim gambled using a betting agent? But he went to their betting site headquarter with no help given.

He used the betting agent of the betting platform to gamble and he won $11800 when I converted the local currency to dollar. He said the owner of the betting shop travelled abroad but he met the workers. The workers wanted to scam the man by not giving him any money.

The people involved that wanted to scam the man have been taken to court. They were granted bail with two sureties and the case has been adjourned to match 4 2024.

Some people are just very dubious

https://punchng.com/bet-naija-attendant-friend-arraigned-for-allegedly-stealing-n16-7m

Unfortunately these sort of frauds are taking place all day, every day and in many different ways. You constantly have to be on your guard when it comes to looking after your finances. In this scenario, it seems like the person will have to rely on the courts to decide the outcome, if the company is not taking the theft by their employees seriously. It sounds like the owner of the casino is living up their life abroad, instead of making sure their staff are properly monitored and security is tight in their casino, hopefully the owner understands the bad reputation that comes from these sort of complaints is not worth it. If it is truly serious and ignored, you'd hope that the casino loses it's license to operate and is forced to pay additional fines on top of the original payout.
317  Economy / Economics / Re: saving vs investing - minimalism vs frugality on: February 14, 2024, 10:00:19 PM
in many economic topics of this forum i see many people have misconceptions..

minimalism vs frugality
alot of people think to save/invest requires being super frugal, live under a rock like a hermit and never spend. this is not the case
instead develop a minimalist lifestyle.
decide what actually important to your life. what things serve a purpose/function, gives lasting memories.. and spend wisely.
do you need all the clutter of dozens of branded shoes, clothing, household luxuries/decorations.
or can you find the minimalist unbranded options that serve a regular function to only need a couple items

develop it further. do you really need the lavish new luxury car, or just a minimal model that gets you from A to B
do you really need to pay premium transport, carry 5 luggage bags charging extra at airport, containing every item of clothing and gadget your house had. and then sitting in first class on a plane... or can you just put a weeks worth of underwear and shirts/pants into one bag and sit in economy.

frugality of hermit crab living can be a short term aid. but at somepoint going super frugal fails itself because living on "survival" mode too long is a mental break that cant last. the stress of surviving and not living will become its own downfall which usually ends up with people splurging in excess to get that feel good feeling to regain sanity.
so instead be wise about your spending. note wasteful. make purposeful decisions on things that make your life have good long term feelings/memories. and cut out on the wasteful stuff you usually dont care about a week after purchase

There is a very fine line between minimalism and frugality, a line which can sometimes get blurry in fact. Take toilet paper as another example, sometimes it is not wise to go for the cheapest option when it comes to the basics, even if it does the job - if you have the money it can be wise to upgrade to a reasonable standard. I'd say minimalism should be defined as a different topic entirely, because you can be minimalist but still a lavish spender. I think it's definitely important not to be wasteful with your resources and too many people fill their homes with unnecessary junk, buying the latest gadgets (on finance even) which they might use a couple times then sling in the back of a cupboard, but this is the society we live in that constantly bombards us that we need these "essential" things in our life.
318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why in some religion gambling is forbidden? on: February 14, 2024, 09:53:26 PM
When we talk about religion we cannot dine the forbidden things like alcohol, prostitution and many other things in this topic we will discuss why do gambling is forbidden (Haram, interdit) .
So can you tell me why is it forbidden in your religion?
And for the non religious persons what you think ?

If you think back to the very beginning, religion about was control and rules in early societies. Too much alcohol, or prostitution, or gambling could have led to conflict so it would seem sensible to try to restrain it. However in modern society, at least for people who have jettisoned off the need for a crutch to fall back on, an almighty being that decides your fate, instead of just accepting that we are on a giant rock hurtling through space with no greater meaning, it is not necessary. Asking this question is the same as asking why anyone would choose to be religious, it is often just instilled into them by family and the society that they live in, something that is passed down through generations and rarely is this chain broken - especially when it is incorporated into the government class who can use it for extra manipulation and retaining powert.

I don't know of the other side of the World, but in this side of the World, men are responsible for every financial responses in both marriage and the boy/girlfriends relationships.
The demands of financial expenses is being too much at the men sides.
Here, my friends girlfriend who is a university scholar that faces financial challenges is keeping my friend worried,
On the 14th Februarys which marks the "Valentines day"(lovers day) as it may imply, it is usually a special day here in this side of the World where couples and those in intimate relationships or even relatives do have it a remarkable day to spend together. It was likely a tradition that they must gift each other with what is affordable but gifted on a special offer.
The guys (men) are most expected to play this gifting role but here at this edge, my guy thought of having his girlfriend the sum of $50 cash believing she has more of financial issues to tackle than acquiring materialistic items (gifts). This is so she can utilize the money and add up to her educational fees or otherwise.
Now, she said the guy is not being caring and romantic simply because other persons to her notice are being gifted of materialistic items instead of money. She expected me to purchase her items with the gifted money.

This is just how awkward and lack of financial sensibilities some women could be who just sits, makes demands and gets what they wanted without having the compassions of how hard it is to make the money's they spends so carelessly.

It sounds like your country is yet to catch up with a decent society. It's better living in a world where men and women are equal on these things, both should be earning the same salaries - particularly when it comes to things where strength has zero input to the equation, like most office based jobs. What you are inadvertently saying is, you have financial power over women by claiming the this status quo exists around you and that's a rather sick mentality to live among. Women will never be fully liberated and free in such a society, but quite often this is what men around them want to do - suppress them and hold them back. I feel sorry for any women who live in such countries, as it often has roots in religious oppression and this manipulation should have been discarded a long time ago.

Here in my hood, someone staked $1,000 to a bet with little odds and to all hope that there was no possibilities of him loosing the game but revise be the case that the game got cut off in just 3 minutes for the game over and then he could had cashed his winning.
It is quite unfortunate that he staked above what he could not afford to loose. So out of frustrations and anger he broke his TV on the process.

After his temper became calm, he ended up regretting to had lost his bet and went such a mile of destroying his TV.

He now makes two different lost counts at the caused of his inability to control his gambling emotions and his over confidence to had staked what he can't afford to loosed.

Anger is a wild emotion to control and some people are unable to do it. The fact that someone can get so angry that the red mist descends and they turn off all rational thinking is a very dangerous trait to possess. However I think it can be controlled, that control will come from using reasoned and rationale thought. In some interactions, like gambling, you must go into it with the acceptance that these companies spend a lot of money in order to make money from gamblers and they will do it very effectively - you have a high likelihood of losing anything you deposit. Not only that, certain games like anything you'll find in a casino against the house, are weighted in their favor, so you are destined to lose, when you accept these facts and possibilities it should be clear in your mind about the outcome before you start.
