is applicable to all psu because only extending from pcie power socket male output, you cant use that directly to you psu port only extending from male output pcie cable, if you want use for adding pcie cable directly from psu port check compatible first, custom pcie cable service is doable if you cant find part for similiar cable

Hi all, can anyone suggest me (best to do miner) what is the best overclock settings for RX 580 8GB mining.i am using nisehash.
that depend in your memory brand & timing are you used and silicon lottery how far your memory can go, assuming samsung memory with best clock is arround 1070/2100 if you lucky enough 2300 is the max you can get rarely seen, good luck with experiment

The market is in a very good shape this November and it looks like the predictions about altcoins season is becoming a reality now I think it's better to start buying altcoins for some gains and sell after bull run probably January? Not sure if history will repeat same thing like 2017 so I sold few GPUs from my garage for this, once bull is over I will use that money to buy GPUs back hopefully they will be lesser at the time, stupid plan or not bad?
very well indeed but higher risk if your coin fall , there is nothing left if that happen, no safety belt its mean you're ready what ever happen in the future maybe sold half is wiser choice rather than yoloing buying coin based on hope , good luck then

use 3060 ti instead, cheaper and efficient for eth mining, or try 3080 for best hashrate, depend on your country price here list base rig hardware : gigabyte b250 fintech 12 pcie intel g4400 ram ddr4 8gb psu antec hcp series ssd 250gb open case pcie riser
|
|
|
using server psu is doable & cheap, but to loud for mining in home, my advice is using evga platinum series if you want get lot of pcie cable or using pcie splitter, and yeah you can buy pcie cable from aliexpress, the cheapest and best psu for bucks is antec hcp series, trully outstanding and long lasting psu

The last I got running with 9 GPU's were the Asus Z270f boards, with 2x M.2 to Pcie adapters.
But since then I have found almost no newer board that can run 9 GPUs without splitters, none of them have 7 pcie slots anymore.
So want to know about your experiences - what Regular Gaming boards have you gotten to run with 9+ GPUs?
never seen before if gaming mobo has 9 pcie , 8 with m.2 converter, and nowdays getting less pcies manufacture focused on m.2 slot rather than pcie, sli & crossfire getting less atention from gamer & developer they run poorly on gaming performance

Okay, so, I was going to build a rig, but as all of you know easier said than done as the cards are always sold out or over MSRP. I know there are some hardware watching services to catch cards when they’re in stock and I’m going to check those out once I figure out the names of them again. Without getting too much into detail it’s really critical that I pull this off. I understand that nothing is certain, but mining seems the most certain of the different avenues I’ve considered. I’m handy with IT and other tools. Having some passive income coming in is going to literally transform my life for the better as it will allow me to focus on getting my OSCP certification among other even more important personal things. Any solid advice put here is going to directly translate to transforming my life for the better. I’ve done a lot of reading, but nothing makes up for the experience of people in the trenches of the field.
I think GPU is still the most efficient, but I could very well be wrong. I’m open to any suggestions of smart uses for the budget that involve mining. I’d maybe be interested in hearing other ideas crypto-related passive-income streams, but mining is what I’ve been reading about most.
Thank you!!
here my advice for mining rig, but considering buy coin is bigger profit in final stage bullrun, and at current situation doesnt good for build mining rigs gigabyte b205 fintech 100$ intel g4400 50$ ram ddr4 8gb 50$ ssd 240gb 30$ case 20$ psu antec hcp 1300w 300$ riser x4 20$ 5 rx vega 56 used 4400$ mining erg/eth

I have 4 pcs mining rigs. Each of them has 12 GPUs RX570 4GB. Total 48 GPU. I want to use air conditioner for cooling. What should I do ? is it safe to use air conditioner ?
cold air and hot air in the same room is a problem ? I dont care about the profitibality I just want to know is there any problem if i use air conditioner ? The cold air dircetly to the rigs or somewhere else direction ?
if there is anyone use air conditioner, please help me. I want to be set up a proffessional system. 7kw air conditioner is enough ?
dont use air conditioner for mining, you only burning electric for 1-2c cooler for 600watt full ac better using in&out fan/exhaust consume only 50w both of them....

If we see huge alt market at the end of the year will this affect crypto mining profitability? I remember in 2017 where even a 30MH gives 10$ to miners due to loads of sell and buy in that time being
most of altseason happen lately arent mineable coin, only eth&erg that quite profitable but lower profit compared 2017 bullrun 2017 bullrun is crazy fast pump, and only few minier has the rigs, compared today are crowded, and eth already killed most of profit by burning fee mechanism

Just a thought, honestly I really wish that meme coins have pow algorithm so we can mint and mine them, the amount of dollars pumping into meme coins this days is way bigger than what we've seen with ICO projects back in the days, it would have been a sweet ride honestly, every crap and good Devs are all making ......inu ......inu here and there lol
you can mine doge, yeah most meme coin is token based aka erc/bsc base, meme coin is good for buy on small portion of your portofolio when they reach bottom, most of them doesnt pump right away after minting,

yup the safest mining methode during bearmarket is using nicehash, auto convert to fiat, when bullrun dont use nicehash,
better mining on normal pool and cashing the earning when peak happen
|
|
|
The advantage of mining in bear market results in more quantities of coins due to low difficulty but coins value are way down, also mining equipments value are way down, this this means everything to me than bull market I need bad ass coins in my portfolio not the USD value, bear market pls come it's time to build my long term dream crypto portfolio, sun ⛅ is going to do the job
some people think this bear market wont hit hard like 2015/2019 did, and this bullrun longer than before, especially covid still thing in global and converting workframe to digital which is good for crypto adoption & exposure so my friend, 2024 is best choice for building solar farm, and i chose hydro compared solar lol

For all those saying they can't buy GPU unless GPU goes back to MSRP you might have to wait longer to see this happen, remember that crypto of 2021 isn't like crypto of 2017 there is now better awareness on crypto and people now prefers crypto more than even stock investments, the longer you wait the more regrets you will feel.
at current price is not preferable to buy gpu and even the stock itself questionable, and most people think this already final bullrun which is time is really limited, and better buying coin specially after btc hit ath, alt will be red under -70%, thats best point to enter alt market and quick profit, silicon shortage will last till 2023 when bear market hit, then buying gpus is reasonable

7970 consider is catalyst card for mining industry and for compute application, is the first card from amd reach 1tflpos in double precision, benefit for research
is beast and pretty strong card, at current market for mining. its consider to much power for small profit

Hi guys,
i own Ryzen 7 5800X and wanted to ask what is there for mining on this cpu? i know about randomx Monero, but is there anything else? i checked whattomine and coincalculator.io and they dont have section for CPU.
thank you in advance
the downside of cpu mining is flooding by malmware mining and some admin in server using those rigs server without permision, hard to compete these day with cpu, that the truth, btw you can learn mining and get more knowledge by then

I live off-grid on 100% solar and wind power. Obviously it cost a lot to get set up but now my electricity is "free". The catch is I only have about 10 spare kWh per day.
What's the best way to mine with this? Do I have enough spare power to get an ASIC or should I be looking at just mining with a PC or something when I have spare power?
Occasionally it'll be windy all night and I might have 20 spare kWh instead. It would be great to integrate it with my system somehow, basically as a dump load. At the moment my dump load is heating water, so it charges my battery bank completely and then dumps all the extra into making hot water. An ideal scenario would be dumping it into mining, and I could use the heat from mining to warm water anyway.
Anyone on the forum solved this problem already? Appreciate any tips, thank you
well 10kwh/24hr = 420w rigs best fit is laptop mining, you can fit 4-5 rtx 3060 laptop, total 200mhs or try using an asic if you can get one lol and yeah rtx laptop is expensive, you can buy defective laptop from distributor, cheaper than gpus

I know we dont know when Eth 2.0/PoS is coming, but it IS coming at some point. Curious what my fellow miners will do when they cant mine eth anymore... I have heard people might mine eother PoW coins like RVN, however profits will be much lower due to the hash from eth will move to rvn to a degree (and the rest of the PoW coins). you could go ASIC SHA-256 route and taker a crack at BTC, but good luck trying to get your hands on a miner. There are some new projects like Chia and Helium which look interesting that have a different take on mining.
Perhaps you might take your eth you have and stake it, and if you have less than 32 eth, perhaps you will join a staking pool.
I for one, have not decided other than I know I would like to continue in some capacity with mining.
Thoughts?
well i think when eth hit full pos, on that day maybe already retire lol there is so many mineable coin out there, even all gpu flooding on seeling after eth off, gamer should be catching all those dump and for miner side is good that network more room to breath then

Hello, I have a question, I asked about this ASIC the Bitmain Antminer E9, a hell of an ASIC that costs about 30000$ (well if we find it) and I looked on the site whattomine the profits I can make with this machine and I saw for more than a week a figure that turns around 230$ of profit per day which is just HUGE !
and i did a little calculation 230 x 365 = 83950 !! 83950 (profit per year) - 30000 (price of the asic) = 53950
it's just monstrous in less than a year without counting the electricity (0.06€ per kWh) I'm in the profit in less than a year!! how to explain that?
Can someone please enlighten me, tell me if there are hidden costs that I don't take into account except for taxes, there are no additional things to take into account in there because it just seems huge
how do I justify this please?
if you seeing the profit from asic in calculator its mean that profit for current day, and getting less profit in the future cause many people buy the same thing everyday and joined the network the difficulties began to rise exponential, and yeah if you can get that asic for same price as listed, then you got lucky if got that one there is no such thing to good to be true in asic mining, its real if you can get those asic lol, good luck with that. if you're living in china, sure you will get one but this time is ilegal things

i'm using gigabyte b250 fintech with 12 pcie lines, is pretty damn stable without any issue installing those gpus, i wont using gaming motherboard for mining, there is strange issue happen sometimes, better to buy dedicated mining board
