Any idea on what is the minimum weight I need to start staking Magi? I have 0.70 XMG right now but I think that's not enough. there's no minimum weight, but it can take long to get POS block, I have mined 4 blocks(10 XMG on average) on solo but I have just one POS block, which is about 30K satoshi(magoshi?) and one POS orphan that was 90K edit: above for 10-12days

I've found that stake weight peaks pretty quickly on this coin dropping off fast as the coins get older. Keeping UTXO block size somewhere above 200 and below 1500 seems to be working pretty well for me at this time, but I bet this depends a bit on your size of investment. Smaller blocks have a tendency to age too long and bigger blocks break pretty quickly resulting in more maintenance in recombining blocks and lost coin weight when frequently recombining blocks. It would be nice to have the coin weight per UTXO block listed in the advanced coin control dialog - is this there in the newest version? My guess is that investing in coins and staking rather than purchasing advanced hardware will result in a better return in the long haul as PoW mining rewards have a tendency to run pretty low sometimes. Besides, maybe I'm just biased but I'm betting the value of XMG will increase in the long run adding some frosting to the birthday coin staking magic. Hardware tends to follow a slow decline into the dumpster a few years after purchase. Happy Birthday Magi! I think you can estimate UTXO by the fee on your transaction when picking inputs

need help for POS, my stake was 106 then dropped to 86, network weight was about the same 7**K, but expected time had risen, for that time I had incoming fund to this address, question is higher or lower stake is better and do I have to consolidate inputs to have a better chance with staking?

What is the power consumption of R9 280x with Lyra2REv2?
it gives me same power load as Lyra2(907Mh), but I get 4010Mh from 280x 1070/1550

can you solo mine on staked wallet?
PoW or PoS? both mine = PoW, staked wallet = PoS

Wow, this is crazy. Will this sort of thing also happen in Greece? And it's scary that this is expected to be the same sort of restructuring that will affect EU banks. Is it safe to keep more than 100K EUR in any European banks at this point?
limit is 100K per bank, if you have more - split them and watch those not to merge as you could end with 50% less, I had my money locked for nearly 6 months last year as mafia backed government raided 4th biggest bank claiming it was a ponzi scheme, now they buy its' assets for nickels and indebted country with nearly 2 000 million euros

F*** people's nodes, pools and exchanges are important, that increased block size will bring more orphans and miners don't like those at all!

|

looking at http://hashpower.co/site/mining I see most MUE blocks found was about 40 per hour, which is 1600 MUE per hour, if you expect 613K, those can be mined in 383 hours, never looked at the code, but I doubt pool was programed to exchange other currency into BTC and then into MUE(that is double exchange) so you can be payed any time soon...

lyra2 is broken:
[2015-08-11 07:29:46][31m Stratum connection failed: Failed to connect to ffpool.net port 4433: Connection refused[0m [2015-08-11 07:29:46][31m ...retry after 30 seconds[0m
it's not lyra2/local mined/, I'm mining 13 hours on rental lyra2 and nothing was recorded...

reduce those fees and/or rent some hashrate or stick with own dead pool...

connection is fine, probably I overload with json requests and they are dropping them

I'd be nice if minercontrol was able to find fresh data on remotesend/receive data locally then try to connect to server, I'll try to set MC to run mining proxy instead of running one miner at a time

bad time for testing, 3 lines parallel to each other/not crossing, how to fake json data? ---- Can you try this one? nothing special, that's why I haven't given it earlier http://pastebin.com/SgYeFQRa"worker": "1", is set, but I don't use it original release 1.61 stopped mining when there was 0 in stat window, you get zeroes when pool is either down or json retrieve failed, 1.64/1.65 keeps mining, but that's secondary issue as it won't switch at all
|
|
|
I don't use parameters, I prefer this way, it works but does not switch most of the time, even when it receives error getting json data and gets 0,000 value it keeps mining
