I've found that stake weight peaks pretty quickly on this coin dropping off fast as the coins get older.  Keeping UTXO block size somewhere above 200 and below 1500 seems to be working pretty well for me at this time, but I bet this depends a bit on your size of investment.  Smaller blocks have a tendency to age too long and bigger blocks break pretty quickly resulting in more maintenance in recombining blocks and lost coin weight when frequently recombining blocks.  It would be nice to have the coin weight per UTXO block listed in the advanced coin control dialog - is this there in the newest version?

My guess is that investing in coins and staking rather than purchasing advanced hardware will result in a better return in the long haul as PoW mining rewards have a tendency to run pretty low sometimes.  Besides, maybe I'm just biased but I'm betting the value of XMG will increase in the long run adding some frosting to the birthday coin staking magic.  Smiley  Hardware tends to follow a slow decline into the dumpster a few years after purchase. Wink

Happy Birthday Magi!

I think you can estimate UTXO by the fee on your transaction when picking inputs

there's no minimum weight, but it can take long to get POS block, I have mined 4 blocks(10 XMG on average) on solo but I have just one POS block, which is about 30K satoshi(magoshi?) and one POS orphan that was 90K

edit: above for 10-12days

Your question is a good one. How is called the lowest decimal unit ? A magoshi like jkminkov suggested it, or something more "Magi" ?

I would not want you to be disappointed so I'd like to add that even though technically there is no minimum, 0.70 XMG is too small an amount imo.  You can look at the block explorer here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/xmg/ and see what the amounts are of the blocks are that are currently staking and the resulting rewards that are being paid.    The difficulty for proof of stake is still very low so smaller blocks of coins will have a chance but about 5 XMG is the smallest block I've seen minting recently.  There are probably lots of wallets out there with coins that have split into 5 XMG blocks (UTXO) or smaller that will probably not mint because the blocks have aged so long that they no longer have significant coin weight – you should keep that in mind too, it is a bit like a lottery.

Goldlabel, I have a problem with the texture panel. First, after the cube is selected, I go to texture panel. There I have only three little options : the earth and the txture, not the material sphere. Maybe it comes from this. Do you have a solution ?

Maby someone ask themself why does he dont get a answer, we are doing it now by pm, but to answer this one
It needs to have a material to putt texture in a model, so new material then new texture.

Great! Thanks for your advice. I'll keep this in mind. Later, I'll buy more XMG to start staking. This is so exciting!  Cheesy

New wallets:

v1.2.3.0:
http://coinmagi.org/wallets/

Windows: http://coinmagi.org/files/magi-release/m-wallet-latest-win.zip
Mac OS X: http://coinmagi.org/files/magi-release/m-wallet-latest-macosx.dmg
Linux: the prior static linked wallet had some issues as reported by people; you can easily compile a Qt or daemon by following the guide. I'll get uploaded till I test it out fully.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=735170.msg8800103#msg8800103

Changes are the check points update, and a nice version check made by feldenthorne.

https://github.com/magi-project/magi/pull/8

I apologize that I haven't been able to look at the stake split threshold feature and wallet speedup; would be at SOME time I guess.

first at all, thank you for your hard work, i really apreciate it.

i download the windows wallet but the chekpoint issue still there, should i delete my magi folder an download again the blockchain?

Results Magi lottery here:

GZ to all the winners Wink

All, as for the warning, a quick getting around probably you could try is startover of the block chain. I guess the warning will go away after some blocks. Here what you need is to download about 300MB block chain data from coinmagi.org site I've uploaded to. Or simply let the wallet sync from scratch.

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-blockchain/m-blockchain%5bblock%23481461%5d-20150916.7z
or
http://coinmagi.org/files/m-blockchain/m-blockchain%5bblock%23481461%5d-20150916.zip

http://coinmagi.org/files/m-blockchain/

Rename your prior magi directory to something else, like "Magi.mv"; rename the name of the directory of the above download & unzipped file to "Magi" (make sure it sits in the right place); copy "wallet.dat" from "Magi.mv" to "Magi"; launch the wallet.
