In case you ever wonder about BIPs again, here's the list: https://github.com/bitcoin/bipsI'm not quite sure you got your second way right. Or maybe I don't understand you correctly. If somebody else creates the key they know it. You can encrypt that key afterwards as many times as you please, they still know the key and as such can use it to sign transactions.

Hello,
how much disk space does Armory 0.93 require? I have Armory+Bitcoind on a separate 80GB disk and they used all the available space.
My bitcoin folder is 34 GB. Armory is 32 GB. Do you maybe have an old bootstrap.dat laying around? Also, after upgrading to the latest Armory it will build a new DB. The old one can be deleted (not sure if automatic or not).

He means your upload capacity. There have been cases in the past where Bitcoin Core used all of the upload capacity of the users' Internet connection. To the point of making browsing etc. impossible.
Netlimiter is a software for Windows that allows you to limit programs to certain speeds.

If I understand correctly you want a clean, fresh Bitcoin Core wallet and don't care about your old one at all? If that's the case, close Bitcoin Core and then delete the file wallet.dat located in the data directory. https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Data_directoryThe next time Bitcoin Core starts you will have a fresh new wallet.

Wow, they're just above the US... I guess those billion+ Chinese gotta eat something...
Funny thing is, look at who has the most cows... Apparently, India is the place to be if you're a cow.
It definitely is. As a cow in India you can sit in the middle of the road all day long and noone will bother you. Nice to be a holy animal!

OPs oldest unconfirmed tx will be a week old tomorrow [3]. Maybe wait and see how that pans out?
Im all for waiting or confirming the old transactions. And it has expired. So at least this one can be sent again by OP (with appropriate fees). Four others seem to be confirmed, but I haven't checked them all.

[...] What else I could do please ? ~ Madness Check your settings regarding the port in the router, firewall etc. again. I had a router before that would "forget" settings when there was a power cycle. Another option could be your ISP started blocking it? You'd have to ask them.

I left the Bitcoin COre client running all the night , when I woke up and checked on that website again , it gives me in Red the following message : " xx.xxx.xxx.xxx:8333 is unreachable." (xx represent my IP of course)

What VPS provider?
Can you check if any other ports are open? For example 8335 or 45944.
If that's the case it means your whole VPS is open to intruders. Ask your VPS provider how to go about that. There should be a way to define your own FW rules.
Did you install ufw or was it already there?
|
|
|
It wouldn't affect your download much. You can run ufw commands with "--dry-run" to see what "would" happen. Just passing a rule won't make it active yet. At one point you will have to run "ufw enable" to make your rules work. Again, check http://man.he.net/man8/ufw

Can you please link to a block found by Dot pool?
|
|
|
[...] I need to enable it, but i'm afraid i lose my ssh so i can't get in anymore i do have set ufw allow 22 though Hm, no wonder everything is open then, unless you set the rules somewhere else. You can do ufw --dry-run enable to see what "would" happen. Is this on a VPS? Does it offer a "serial console" for recovery? (You would see this option on your config panel (if any)).

I think this bitnodes.io people got something wrong. [...]
Maybe email them directly (bottom of the page), not sure if they monitor this thread.

I would do: ufw status numbered look at the number of the rule for port 8333, say it's x then ufw delete x Check http://man.he.net/man8/ufwEdit: If it says it's open and you're server is "at home", check your router config as well and close it there too.
